Valens was standing out in the front yard of his place, his eyes determined and his wooden pratice weapon moving through the katas that he had been taught by his teacher. It was his way of concentrating, of relaxing, something he had to do at the moment since he was waiting for Damaris to arrive. He had been waiting at first, pacing, and starring down the road but decided that instead he would put himself to work.

After all he needed to practice before he had his next class with Mr Tsuzuki, to show that he had been working just as hard if not harder then he promised.

Ellie was waiting as well, lounging on the porch with her silver eyes on her boy. He was doing his weapon practice agian, which was a good thing. His pacing had been making her dizzy. She was happy to hear that Damaris was coming for a visit and hoped that her dragon would be coming along as well. Red was an interesting creature, thought with his stomach, but she liked him none the less. He was fun to talk to, she hoped he'd come along.

Valens's ears gave a little twitch and he paused in what he was doing, bringing his weapon up to rest on his broad shoulders before turning toward the sounds he heard. He gave a bright smile when he saw Damaris coming his way and his tail set to rapidly swishing behind him, "Damaris!" He called out, waving one hand in the air wildly before he rushed forward toward her.

It had been to long since he'd gotten to see her in person, felt like forever to him but now that she was here he felt all giddy! He came to an almost slidding halt when he reached her, beaming, "Hello! I hope it wasn't to hard to get here, had my Mom write out the directions."

She'd never have gotten here if she used any directions that he gave out...

Ellie rose to her feet when she heard her boy's excited voice, turning to look in the direction he'd headed off in and a smile graced her lips. He was here, Red had come to visit. She headed down the trio of stairs that lead from the porch to the ground and walked over toward where Valens, Damaris, and Red were standing.

Valens wrapped his arms around Damaris, pulling the girl close for a happy snuggle... then blinked a couple times. A tight snuggle ended up with him flush against her rather round belly... he took a step back, eyes lowering to it and he did his best not to stare. Starring was rude... he knew this, was told it often by Ellie when she was attempt to teach him proper manners. He shook his head to get himself to stop starring and lifted his gaze, "I am glad that you could come." He said to quickly fill the silence his starring had caused, "Mom cook a special dinner and everything!"

Ellie stopped when she was in front of the blue dragon, sitting down and gave him a smile, "Hello and good afternoon, it is nice to see you again Red." she greeted the blue in Draconic in her ever polite manner.

Valens ears flicked back and forth at her rushed defense of herself and he blinked a couple times, "Huh?" He sounded a bit confused, what did DNA and other people have to do with her belly? He cocked his head to the side and seemed to be mulling it over, "Its alright, I mean nothing exercise can't fix."

Ellie gave a little laugh at Red's words, looking over at the pair. She blinked as she studied Damaris's form and it sank in for her what was going on. Apparently far faster then for her boy. The Silver gave a squeak and looked horrified at his words, "Valens!" She cried, reaching over to give him a n** to the flank, "That isn't kind to say to someone in her condition!"

Valens gave a jolt when he was nipped, turning to look at Ellie, "Huh...? What?" He asked, looking a bit unsure now as he looked back and forth between the two girls trying to figure out what he'd missed.

Condition... big belly... not being with another person... the gears in his mind started to grind and then his face went a bright red, "Oh! Oh my... I'm so sorry!" He cried when it finally clicked in his slightly slow moving brain.

"Sorry, sorry!" He said, lifting one hand up to rub at his head where he'd gotten a solid hit to it. Well deserved so he made no comment about it, maybe it would get the gears in his brain working a little faster so he would say stupid things first and then realize what was actually going on, "I really am sorry!"

Ellie shook her head, lifting a hand up to rub it against her closed eyes as if she were getting a headache, "That boy... he so rarely thinks before speaking..." She complained, sounding like a woman speaking of her child instead of a young dragon talking about someone older then her.

Valens gave a sighing sound of relief then nodded, "Of course." He rested his wooden naginata over his shoulder with one hand and other to Damaris, "Its alright, I know my Mom will like you! And... well... my Father really doesn't like anyone or much of anything so don't mind him." He tried to assure her.

Ellie looked over at Red and shook her head, "More like embarrassing... imagine if he ever crossed paths with someone important..." She didn't even want to think about it, he would more then likely say the worst thing possible!

The door to the house was opened up by Valens's hand and the group of them was immersed in many delicious scents that all originated from the kitchen that Lamiah was currently residing in. She was a whiz when it came to food, a regular stalker of the Food Channel, and always haunting the grocery store for new ingredients. Today was a special day, the dragon she may be bringing along with her.

Hearing the door open the pretty, smiling brunette woman peeked out of the kitchen before she shed her oven mitts to come over to greet the their guests, "Good afternoon! Welcome, do come in." She said, happily motioning the two kids and two dragons inside.

Valens gave a bright smile, turning to Damaris and Red, "This is my Mom, her name is Lamiah Black. Mom, this is Damaris and he dragon, Red." He said, remembering his polite introductions seeming to want to make up for his slip up by doing this part right.

Lamiah looked at the pair and gave a little giggle, "His name is Red? How clever." She murmured then looked at Damaris, "It is nice to meet you, we have heard so much about you." She referred to a 'we' but currently it would appear that Valens's father was MIA.

Ellie was watching the proceedings quietly, happily. Her boy had done the introductions exceedingly well. She was very impressed and pleased, she would have to give him praise later.

"Would you and Red rather sit with me in the kitchen while I cook or do you want to sit down in the living room?" She asked of the girl. They were the guests after all so Lamiah would give her and Red the option of deciding where they would rather sit down, "Either way it is only a little while until the food is ready to be served."

Valens gave a smile, "Mom cooks really good food, I can't wait to see what all shes made." He was spoiled by her cooking, she made such good stuff and always made special stuff for him that had no meat in it.
