The Pale Tidestallion swam to the puzzle immediately after the small narwhal reached him. He was impressed slightly, seeing how so few came out of the caverns. Now it was his turn to impress.

The narwhale reached him, shaking out her mane and a splash of icy currents. Here, however, the temperature wasn't the trick. Puzzles, hmm? The Pale Tidestallion set his clever mind to the task, setting the contraption this way and that and hoping to hear a satisfying click. Instead there was a sad and despairing clunk, and the way stayed shut. (ELIMINATED - FINAL SCORE)

The stallion contemplated the puzzle before him. There were any number of moves that could unlock the path forward, but what could they be? He considered for a long while before finally making his move.

And nothing happened...dejected there was nothing to do but wait to be pulled from the race.

The Tidestallion has received the baton and is now faced with a puzzle before him before he can truly move forward. It’s almost like a dance as he races off to try a combination of movements one after another hoping to achieve the correct order to open the secret path where the next soquili awaits the baton. He dashed forward and does a sharp but elegant backflip followed by a quick lunging cork screw lunge. He straightens out does a double barrel roll to the left and finally bows low to the right. But was he right?
Success the path opens and swiftly he continues through to pass the baton to the awaiting soquili!

The puzzle was almost difficult to decipher and if it wasn't for the fact that it was his ancient bloodline that designed them, he might not have gotten through. A quick maneuver to place pressure on five points in succession revealed the entry to the next course.

SUMMARY FOR DAY 3

GREEEEEEEEEETINGS FELLOW RACERS. Unfortunately, a few of you weren't quite quick enough to catch the mechanism before we released the sharks- no wait, I've been informed there were no sharks. This is child friendly? Hold on, I might need to talk to my manager. What? Oh. Oh really? Okay, sorry guys! No one was hurt, we released sea turtles to help bring them back. Hahaha, no sharks, that'd be ludicrous.

You await your friend's exit from the narrow channel, and hoot with triumph when the pale tidestallion appears. You're halfway through - you've survived! Happy to see him, you splash into the water and move toward the next obstacle: island-hopping. A task made just for you, you must touch grass on the four small, weathered islands between you and your next teammate. Roll 4 100-sided dice. The higher the number, the faster you get there. However, if you roll a number less than 10, we regret to inform you that your journey has been cut short.

As a clue to help you choose your contender and gain their speed bonus, we offer you the following: Mischievous and busy, I prefer cold climes. Bring the storms and bring the tides - count me along for the ride.

As a reminder, a short strategy response is required with all entries! Contestants, if you are still in the running, ensure that your posts have this - you are welcome to go back and edit them in if they are missing. If you do not do this, your score will be docked 25 points for each missing response at the end of the game. After all, part of the race is figuring out how to navigate it! We look forward to reading what you come up with!

Day 3 end- 322+ Day 4 ??

The Pale Tidestallion made its way through and passed the baton to the Puffin! The puffin took it and looked to the challenge ahead. He surveyed the path he wanted to take to hop across the land paths. Though he had wings he wasn’t the best flier so he could float and glide as needed but his stamina wasn’t the best so hopefully he could hold out. He took off to the first land mass and seemed to make it fairly easily. He charged off to the left aiming for the next island and leapt with all his might and flapped his stubby wings and tried to glide over . He cane up a little short and found himself hanging over the side but was able to climb up before falling into the chilly water below. The third island was closer and he was able to touch it easier but the forth one seemed the farthest to reach and he wasn’t sure he could make it. His energy was low but he mustered all he had left and ran for it! Alas he did t have the energy to make it all the way and lands in the water and decides to just paddle around and enjoy the water. Good luck everyone else!

Big fat FAIL! xD
