He see's other Soquili have already started. "Maybe I should have risen earlier". In attempt to catch up, he zooms down through the entrance and manages to catch up to a few that were ahead. Still a little groggy, the burst of speed is short lived. He feels confident that conserving his energy is the way to go though. Plus at least he is not behind everyone else now.

The crimson stallion fluttered his fins eagerly. They had trained and prepared all they could. Now it was time. His green eyes set, not on the starter, but his goal: the caves at the edge of the reef. He knew he was up for this task! He gave his fins one more flutter, then the sounding of the starting bell went off, and he was away. In and out he dipped through the caves, pushing himself for all he was worth. For Himself.
