New Year's
January 1st, 2012 I'm so tired right now, but I wanted to stay up just to scribble this bit in before I feel too lazy later today.
It's officially the New Year.
Elai and I stayed up until midnight so that we could see the fireworks. He even let me try a bit of his champagne, it wasn't as good as I expected. It tasted bubbly but had a weird acidic after taste. I wasn't the biggest fan of it, and I still don't understand how he drank two full glasses of it.
Anyways, we had the TV on so we could watch the count down all across Gaia. And when the clock hit midnight, I could hear everyone in the apartment complex scream and shout 'Happy New Year.' This year the fireworks were so large and bright that Elai and I had no problems seeing the show from our living room.
Last year, we went in person to see the fireworks but because it was near freezing this year we decided to celebrate from home. I'm pretty happy that he made that decision. He had the window open for all of half a second before I made him close it.
Elai said that one of the traditions that humans have during the new year is to make something called resolutions.
Apparently they are goals that you should try and reach during the new year, but more often than not most people end up just failing them completely.
But, since I'm up, I've had time to think about them a little and here's what I decided.
Luka's Resolution List
1. Get along better with Winston
2. Get my own phone
3. Grow taller !!! <-- I think I should make this #1 instead
4. Learn a hobby like gardening
5. Grow legs
I think it will be fun to see if I reach them at the end of the year.

Axel stops by Hua-Ahn Clinic for an appointment scheduled for one of her clients. There, she meets the youthful Luka and his guardian, Jezabroux. Luka and Axel hit off to a great start as the wedding planner shows the Satyr her colorful soul bottle and delicate fel essence. Although they didn't get to talk for a very long time, Luka eagerly awaits for Axel's own charge to be born.

Sadly, Jezabroux is in a rush and leaves the store with Luka, unable to converse with Cordelia or Adrian like Luka had.

Your birthday gift can be found on the countertop, you'll find that it's the white box wrapped with orange ribbons. I hope it's to your liking.
Once again Luka, happy second birthday to you. You've grown a lot within the past two years and I can't wait to see what changes await us this year.

It was much larger in size than he had anticipated, and quite frankly, he was more amazed that he hadn't noticed it in the first place coming into the kitchen given that it was approximately the size of Elai's own briefcase. Pulling the box close to him, he gave the bow and light tug. It came apart with ease, and Luka lifted up the lid. The contents were organized with care, ordered in a manner that Luka could get everything out easily.
The first was a hefty, thick well bound leather journal. The leather was soft to the touch, but hard enough not to bend and the pages were thick smooth pads. Cold pressed, they would be able to handle even the wettest of ink messes. The second gift was a new phone for
