--- Often gets her hair tangled in branches. Because of this, she likes to avoid forests, but forgets when she gets distracted by something and gets tangled anyway. She will not cut it, loving her hair, and keeps it free of debris.

Personality :::
-----Ni'awtu may not have liked her Wind family much, but if she learned one thing from them, it was how to show pride in yourself. This isn't to say she's arrogant, she's just proud of the Kirin blood in her. Her Wind family would always tell stories about them. Not very nice stories. Stories Ni'awtu listened to for the sake of being meek to her family, but stories she didn't really believe. She had never had the chance to meet that side of her family. Not until she met the only stallion she ever loved. He only enforced her view of the Kirin side. So she now takes great pride in having such a noble creature in her blood.
Ni'awtu doesn't take kindly to people poking fun or saying negative things about that side of her heritage. Her attitude towards the one offending her tends to change, until, if they simply don't stop, she marches off in a different direction. On rare occasions, she'll lash out. This only happens if she's reached the end of her patience with anything.
There is a good head on this mare's shoulders. Capable of seeing most things for what they really are, it's difficult to pull the wool over her eyes. This is also not something subject to her prideful nature. Ni'awtu doesn't think herself any better than you because of her smarts.
Getting to know this mare can be quite the chore. She hides herself from others, refusing to talk about the past. Where she's from. Where she's going. In truth, she's not really going anywhere. She's a little afraid to let herself open up to others. To consider them a friend. Any stallion approaching her with interest in his eyes is quickly met with a clueless stare at his advances.
Despite the cold front she presents to those trying to get information out of her, Ni'awtu is a rather friendly and optimistic individual. She tries her best to go at life with a smile on her lips and a light skip to her step. She's had enough of troubled times and wants to make sure they don't follow her around anymore. If she can see everything with a light heart, perhaps it won't be so bad anymore.
As cheery as she tries to be, Ni'awtu has trouble when it comes to jokes, for the most part. She takes too many things literally.
An extension of being distant. Ni'awtu is afraid to let someone have her heart, for whatever reason. Her whole family was killed, along with her beloved. The wounds are still very fresh.
She is not, however, the kind of timid that is shy and physically backs away from others. Though not very chatty, she will not leave and may even attempt to play along with jokes in an attempt to unconsciously belong somewhere. Unless someone expresses a direct dislike of having her company-fear doesn't count-she will usually not leave out of sheer politeness and loneliness.
Ni'awtu acts like a princess. Or, at the least, a lady in the Princess's court. This isn't to say she's snobby. As far as her pride in herself goes, she is far from stuck up. She's more ladylike. The bright mare is all about manners and showing herself respectable to others. She gets upset if anyone calls her out on being anything but this way, taking it a little harder than she should. She's poised. Calm. With a general interest and concern about others around her.

History: Past And Present Ni'awtu's past isn't a very happy one. She was born and grew up in a mostly Wind herd. A very arrogant bunch of Soquili. Living a sheltered life, these were the only creatures she got to see, besides the Kirin family who shared the same area. Her mother was a Wind, her father a Kirin. (The circumstances of this mating are still unsure. Could have been love. Could have been a one night stand.)
The Wind family weren't pleased with another breed mingling into their pure blood. Nor were the Kirin. The Kirin were even less enthusiastic about the Wind not allowing them to see the two foals. Tland. For drinking space. Just about anything they could find tohere were other problems surrounding the two families. Fighting for fight about. But the mingling of their blood was the last straw.
The Kirin made public their intentions to forcefully take back the children, now grown into adults. A war broke out, resulting in the deaths of many. Exactly who, Ni'awtu is unsure of. She had a Kirin betrothed. Someone who gave her the bell she wears. He tried to escort her away from safety, but was caught and killed. She got away while they were distracted.

[b]What is your soq looking for in a stallion?[/b] Someone persistent is the biggest trait she needs. Ni'awtu seems the kind of character who could handle a lot of personalities. Since she's a bit reclusive and quiet, kindness isn't a necessary trait, but vengeful and mean types wouldn't work.
She also has a set profession as a priestess/medicine woman type and will be getting a smartmouthed mouse to help her gather plants and teach her, so someone able to toss words back without getting violent would also be nice. <3
The fling will also be helping raise the kids. It's not a one night stand deal and I wanted to keep them as friends. She has no hard feelings. At the moment, anyway. She might feel differently with a couple of babies following her. xD
[b]Any specific limitations/requirements?:[/b] Color and breed doesn't matter, though she'd feel more a connection to another Kirin. So long as the stallion is persistent and can handle her while she goes through her life changes. She has tragedy in her past she needs to get over and "find herself" before she can really settle down. So she's not likely to be a high priority to breed, again. Edits also don't matter as her fling is unedited. But I would like more chances to pass on her pretty hair and bell. <3
