ƸӁƷ Sanbantai Taichou - Czar ƸӁƷ

★·.·´¯`·.·★Skyward path, bound to an endless fate, I laugh at your misfortune★·.·´¯`·.·★

Czar had been dreaming about lovely forests and other plants and living things, him and his green thumb nature. After a nap, Czar would normally wake with a comforting stretch and yawn, though this time he would instead awake to a much more violent feeling. As his eyes opened he was about to throw his arms up, but instead, he was only surprised, being shook back and forth by Nu. "Wh-what!?" He was more surprised that he was sitting on a bench rather than being slapped and thrown around by another Captain. "O-oh?" He smiled rubbing the back of his sore skull. "Ho-How did I get on this bench Nu-Taichou? Did you perhaps carry me here?" He wasn't too bright, his own actions displayed that quite nicely. "Or, maybe, did I sleep walk all the way here? Just what is going on?" He said with a smile and a laugh, his body language was overly nervous, but he was trying to keep steady, not trying to act as if she scared him, as of right now everyone did. He was looking around a bit, his feet hardly hitting the ground below, he was really uncomfortable, he was looking around with anxiety.

[So short! Can't do much else]

It was unbearable. This boy seemed oddly too innocent to be made a captain, yet here he was, at an semi exclusive party. Rubbing the back of her head awkwardly, she had to sigh at her current predicament. "I carried you here, can't have you making a scene, sleeping where you were..." With a slight frown, she sits next to the boy, staring at him carefully. "What were you doing atop a tree?" Though the answer was easy enough to figure out. He acted like a child and what child wouldn't climb a tree. Though with his skills, she expected most captains to act a tad more........refined?

Czar smiled and looked ahead to the party guests. "That's easy, I love wild life, I'm always wanting to learn more and more about it, and..and..when I'm around it, it makes me feel like I belong somewhere." He looked back to Nu with an impish grin. "That must seem a bit silly I know. But, everyone here terrifies me to death. That's pretty bad, seeing as I was made a Captain, to be honest, I don't know why I was, surely there are better people out here than me." He thought to himself for a moment. "Then again, who knows." He suddenly had an expression on his face as if he had forgotten to do something. "O-oh, I almost forgot, I haven't properly introduced myself, I am Czar, new Sanbantai taichou, it's a pleasure to meet you, I believe you are the third Captain slash person I know so far here in the Court, everyone else is back in Rukongai." He stuck out his small hand to shake Nu's. "I hope I didn't make too much of a scene, I've been trying to find the bride or groom of the wedding but they both seem so busy, not a lot I can do but sit around and drink Sake, and take in this wonderful garden, it's hard for me to believe that something so wonderful exists here in Seireitei, pretty amazing to me." Czar ruffled around in his robe for a second. "I'd offer you some Sake, but it seems I've lost the bottle, haha, how silly of me, I wonder where it went though? There was still quite a bit in there." He looked confused suddenly, so many facial expressions in such a short amount of time for one individual to be having.

Nu had trouble not to smile at this person. He had such a child's deposition that it was hard not to be more friendlier then she would have been to any other random stranger. "Have some faith in yer abilities, yer gonna order around yer division y'know, show some backbone..." She frowned at his lack of courage. She preference people who stood up fro themselves and not to let themselves down so easily as he was doing right now. Taking the small hand, she takes it and shakes it firmly before looking around, his interest in the brides made her a bit curious as well. Elisa was apparently with Tsukiko, discussing some matters with Hei, she could see why the boy might want to avoid them for now. Still, talking with him, it was proving difficult to stay on one conversation, as he seemed to job to many topics, all the while waiting for her to reply to each of them. Shaking her hand, she had to politely decline the alcohol, it was too early in the day to become drunk and while she drank frequently, she became intoxicated relatively fast for people her age. "You should try socializing more, get to know your fellow Captains, make some friends Czar-kun." Though she was being rather hypocritical at the moment, seeing as how she seemed to be avoiding people today, though that wasn't really the point in this conversation.

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Tadashi listened to Hibiki's response with a slight and very concealed embarrassment. He probably should have phrased it better, but then again Hibki wasn't your average no-nonsense Captain. Nodding and following the Captain's notion to walk with him, Tadashi waited until Hibiki stopped speaking to comment. He hoped that Hibiki wouldn't mind the alcohol smell that would probably become noticable soon. Then again, Hibiki was likely already aware of his Lieutenant's new best friend. After all, he didn't usually make a point to hide the gourd of sake he carried around constantly.

"Of course, taicho. I was just a bit curious. I trust you've already dealt with punishing the messenger for his lateness? If not, I can send an inquiry to the 2nd Squad about this, if you wish," offered Tadashi helpfully, almost fully expecting the Captain to turn him down.

After Hibiki had given an answer, Tadashi pulled out the book he was reading and showed it to Hibiki. The Lieutenant knew this was neither the time nor the place, but didn't know when the Captain would have to go back to the Human World and decided he may be the best person to ask about The Catcher in the Rye. Normally he wouldn't be so forward, but he was feeling the need to occupy himself at this unique occasion. "Hibiki-taicho, if you don't mind my asking - i've read this distinguished Human World novel a few times, and I believe i'm not seeing the meaning its supposed to hold...I wonder, if you know this book, then could you explain it to me?"

[Blegh, I don't even know where i'm going with this. More like I just want to discuss the book or add depth or something, I dunno]

A coy smile spread across Ciel's face as Eriko answered his question with the amount of hostility he had been previously expecting. The sound of him tapping his pen against his leg could be heard as he silently stared her down with a look that only held amusement. After the moment of silence had passed he lifted the hand in which he held his pen and moved it to his face, using his middle finger to adjust his glasses, but this time he held his hand in front of his face, obscuring his expression and most of his eyes from sight. Lowering his hand, he gave her another bow and answered her quite simply. "My apologies, Akiyama-Taichō, it wasn't my place. Also, I must decline that invitation as I have elsewhere to be. Farewell." With a sweeping motion, Ciel turned on his heel and strode off in the other direction, his grin slackening as he moved. Eventually he reached a bench next to the pond where he sat down and pulled his book from under his arm, opened to a fresh page and put his pen to his lips before he began writing.

The subject of Masashi-Taichō is a touchy matter for Akiyama-Taichō to the extent that the mere suggestion brings her to anger, despite the calm tone she speaks with. It is inherently obvious that she is unaware of how she feels, and it is likely a paralyzing fear of becoming attached to someone that prevents her from figuring it out on her own. The subject is quick to avoid the subject all together, which accurately matches past knowledge of her shy, loner status. If there is any hope for the two, the other Captain must be given a nudge in the right direction.

With a satisfied smile, Ciel snapped the book shut, set it down next to him and tapped the left temple arm of his glasses which activated the hologram, causing several screens to appear in a 180 degree span around him. Immediately he went to work, tapping screens rapidly and moving text and images around, inputting data and gathering data from overheard conversations to further his knowledge of things. All the while the screen most to his right was running a complex and deep search for lyrics and an audio file, which were found within minutes of his starting. This screen flashed and pinged when the search was over, alerting him which caused him to turn his full attention to it. There lay an icon of a piece of paper with lines running across it, which he pressed, causing a rapidly rising percent to appear over the data file. Once it hit 100%, Ciel tapped the top of a screen, creating a drop down menu of the Shinigami's faces. He scrolled down, found Lee's picture and clicked it, causing the image to enlarge. After this, he touched the data file, dragged it over to Lee's picture, causing it to convert from data into thought waves that were on their way to Lee's brain, indicated by yet another rising percent. Once it hit 100%, the song Kiss the Girl would begin playing in his head in it's entirety, only going away once it was completed. With a small chuckle to himself, he waved the hologram away with the back of his hand, sat down and grabbed his book, then proceeded to sit silently for a while.

博士月子
Jūnibantai Fukutaichō

The state of bliss she had been put into by Hei's singing was abruptly interrupted by the sudden arrival of Elisia's sister, Suzume. Initially, she gave the girl a bewildered look, but it softened into a polite smile when she realized who it was. Yet another person wishing her happiness; Aurelius's wishes had been embarrassing enough, and now this. Taking the envelope, she nearly dropped it out of anger after hearing the next two words from Suzume's mouth. She knew well the relationship between Elisia and her parents and she was utterly furious at them for being terrible to her wife. Staring at the envelope in her hand, she took a minute or two to fully rationalize the situation before making her decision in how to react, no matter how harsh it may have been.

Fuming, the gynoid held the envelope above her head and released it, only to begin following Suzume as it fluttered towards the ground. The second she walked past it, it split into two, right down the middle, bifurcating each bill within. As the two halves landed with a thud on the ground behind her Tsukiko angrily put her thumb and middle fingers into her mouth and whistled to the wolf following Hei, who immediately bounded over to her side, though she never broke her side. "Destroy." She commanded plainly, pointing directly at the two halves behind her. Seemingly delighted by this order, the wolf promptly mauled both halves of the envelope, causing bits and pieces of high-marked bills to start flying all around the area as the wolf had it out with the paper.

Approaching Suzume, she put her hand on her shoulder to jolt her back to reality, and quickly began speaking to her. "Frankly, her mom and dad can suck it. I don't think they understand how condescending it is to give handouts, but won't bother to see their own daughter. That's exactly what's wrong with them; they don't understand how wonderful she is and how much happiness she could have brought them had they not been so goddamn close-minded. That gesture embraces every aspect of what they really are-- fake. Make sure they understand that I have just laid waste to that dirty money and that we do not need their money to be happy. I don't want them contacting either of us ever again, and if it should so happen, I won't be as kind as I am being now. If they wish to take that as a threat, then so be it. I apologize your parents involved you in this." Releasing her shoulder, Tsukiko promptly stormed off, throughly annoyed that such a shitty thing had occurred on her wedding day. Passing by Hei's wolf, she duly noted the happy expression it wore as it gnawed on what was left of the envelope that was between it's paws. By the time she reached Elisia, she was all smiles and reached out to take her hand. "Is everything okay? You seem troubled." She asked with a happy grin across her face.

Thoroughly pleased with the fact that Hei had been civil with Elisia, she did not interfere with their conversation. Though his response was harsh, it was certainly the reality of the situation; there was nothing that could be done for her in that area. She felt saddened by this, and jut before Hei could lead her away, she spoke to Elisia to reassure her. "I know you must feel bad, and yes the thought that you will pass before your loved one is certainly agonizing, but... just cherish these moments for the time being. After all, you're the lucky one dear, you won't even know the pain after it happens. But I believe you are destined to be together forever, and the cycle of life never terminates, so I imagine we will see out loved ones again after they pass." Smiling, she turned away as Hei took her hand and followed him off into a deserted part of the garden. She giggle at his comment, but got as serious as he did a few seconds later. "I told you, I like where I live because I can see everything from up there. I'm sorry, but I just can't live in that house right now, okay?"

Yuki looked away just in time to see Tsukiko walking away from Suzume, clearly frustrated. Furrowing her brow, Yuki couldn't help but wonder what was wrong. Her worries were soon eased as Tsukiko changed her mood when she approached Elisia, causing Yuki to grin and turn to Hei. Leaning forward, she planted a kiss on his forehead before a tiny kitsune came bounding up to her, morphing into a katana as it reached her hand. Catching it, she glanced to her left as a Hell Butterfly landed on her shoulder. "Sorry Hei, I need to head out to the Human World for a spell, some things I need to straighten up before we send out little girl off on her honeymoon." Smiling, she drew Rei Nagare from her sheath then stabbed the air and turned it like a key, calling forth a large pair of Japanese sliding doors shaped like a circle. As she turned away from Hei, the doors slid open, bringing forth a bright light that washed over her as she entered. Once she was inside, the doors slid shut and her Reiryoku vanished.

User ImageUser Image"Of course, till next time," the Jubantai-Taicho whispered to herself while nodding at the retreating back of the Fukutaicho. She did not look to see where he was going as with that distraction out of the way, it only made sense that she return to her previous position at the food table and by Lee-kun's side. With the orange now bare to the world, Eriko picked up a butter knife when the table came into her range and continued with it along the length of the structure, her eyes on the fruit again as her hands made to disect it. Instinctively, she sat down effortlessly in her chair and replaced her fruit plate into her lap so that the juice could be caught when she was cutting the current delicacy of choice. She was not angry. It just rattled her cage when people made inquiries where they were not needed. As things were, she was happy with Lee despite the fact that they acted more like friends, that words hardly passed between them in public places and they had not elaborated on anything relationship-wise for almost a year now. The orange sliced itself open with the most minimal of messes, something to be grateful for especially with the dress that she was wearing.

However, it was for what she had asked. It was his quirks and everything else that made him which had drawn her to him in the first place. So what if it did not fit the supposed normalcy that others considered as the true makeup of a romantic relationship? "Damn it." The words came out with a low growl that might have been heard by Lee-kun. She was not sure. Damn that Aurelius and then, Ciel for asking in the first place. In an attempt to came her nerves, Eriko bit into the orange at last and sucked on it a bit too harshly but with enough concentration that her heart was relaxing with the seconds that ticked by at a measured pace. I like him and that was it. If being out there with the emotional things were not his style, I could deal with that because frankly, I would not know what I was missing out on anyway. The knife twirled around her fingers as she played with it absentmindedly in the other hand, namely the right one. By the time that her teeth were gnawing on the second half, she was sneaking glances ever so often at the form of the male beside her. It was what she wanted and eventually, would be worth it.

Have you ever encountered such a beautiful melody?

═══════════════════════╕››››››››››››

Kyo found the food to be quite the delicacy indeed. I stimulated taste buds he wasn't even aware of as he ate it. Keizo was right. This is unbelievably delicious. I dare not eat to much less I be ruined on everyday food forever, Kyo thought as he finished his plate and passed it off to a servant who had shown up almost the moment he finished to take it away. He had a hearty appreciation for the culinary arts. Being an artist of the musical sense himself, he understood the intricacies of taking base items and combining them into something beautiful.

Yeah, speaking of food: How about you take Captain Mom up on her offer and get some real blood for once? That serum s**t tastes like a wet a*****e, Kyo's inner vampire bellowed.

I'm not even going to ask how you know that for fear that you've done something terrible with my body I'm not aware of, but the day I start freely drinking blood is the day I clamp tassels to my nipples and run through the office naked, Kyo replied coldly.

Zetsumeireiki's laughter filled his mind almost immediately after. You two are too much. Why don't you just compromise? Look, there's some rare steak cubes, Ro-Ro. Eat a couple pieces of that and be done with it. That way you aren't drinking people blood and he's not whining anymore.

Kyo sighed. He didn't like caving to his inner vampires whims, but Rei did have a point and it would return his mind to it's previous quiet state without having to take another dose of serum. Fine, he thought at last then picked up three of the cubes and ate them. He actually found them far more satisfying than he had expected, probably because if his vampiric side savoring the blood that was still contained within them.

His mind no longer a conference room and his stomach full of high class food, Kyo turned and scanned the crowd. He noted that most people were engaged in conversations he would deem as private and as such choose not to approach any of them, instead opting to head for Hibiki and Tadashi. "Kirisho-Taicho," Kyo said once he'd gotten close enough. "It is good to see you have returned. We both know I'm not one for small talk, so I'll be right to the point. Did you manage to acquire the item I requested?" Kyo did not bother to elaborate what he meant for that would be an insult to Hibiki's intelligence. Many times since becoming a captain he had asked the man to bring him various human world police items, most of which were used as reference for the new Hachibantai uniforms. This time he'd requested a pair of handcuffs. He intended to use them as a wall decoration in his office, but he had not mentioned that fact to Hibiki when he made the request.

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

Elisia bent her head forward, both in politeness and in a sense of surrender. While some might take him as being a little bit on the harsh side, she understood what he meant and she was thankful for the fact that she had asked him now, not simply stayed and merely clung onto the hope that she might be able to stay forever with her love. At least, he had told her that it was impossible and now, she would know that her time with Tsukiko was limited. Yuki’s words did comfort her somewhat, but this was something she would have to get over eventually and get used to. After all, Yuki faced the same problem when Hei grew older and probably died of old age. Dropping them a bow before they disappeared, she said, sincerity ringing throughout her entire voice, “Thank you very much, Sotaichō and Hakase-taichō.” Her eyes seemed to stare into space after that, as she struggled to cope with the news. She knew that she would probably have put this completely out of her mind in a few days, but she was determined not to let it spoil the wedding nor their honeymoon later, not at such an important time. Anyway, she had a couple of decades before she was even at Tsukiko’s current age.

Seeing the smiling Tsukiko in front of her, asking her whether she was perfectly fine, nearly brought on another bout of depression but she suppressed it with difficulty. She summoned the largest smile that she could at the moment, beaming at her new wife. Her eyes were starting to water, giving her away easily, but she continued anyway, assuring Tsukiko, “I’m perfectly fine, Tsuki, I’m just delighted as I couldn’t wait for this day to come any sooner.” This was not a lie, but rather a twist of the truth. Leaning over, she gently pressed her lips to Tsukiko’s for a couple of seconds, thoroughly enjoying the sensation and tingles that travelled over her entire body. When she finally pulled away, her cheeks had a faint blush as she was not used to initiating kisses or anything else like that. In a bid to cover her embarrassment, she signalled a nearby servant, who was carrying a small fruit platter to lie out on the food table, to come over. Taking it, a nervous smile appeared on her face, as she gingerly picked up a slice of watermelon and offered it to her wife. Remembering the fact that Tsuki had seemed a little concerned herself about something when she had walked away from her sister, Elisia tilted her head to one side, asking in an anxious voice, “Anyway, Tsuki, is everything alright with you? You seemed a little…irritated by something…did my sister say anything?”

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLoneliness hit me suddenly,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxbut it’s only t h e n that I realized,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G

The extent of Suzume’s surprise was shown in her blinking as the envelope and the money suddenly tore into two. While she had expected something of this from Elisia herself, maybe not as violent though, she didn’t really know her sister-in-law very well, to tell the truth, and she had been hoping that at least, Tsukiko could take it. It seemed not, especially when a wolf appeared and on Tsukiko’s orders, started to attack the envelope. This was going to absolutely fantastic, it seemed. Wincing as she thought of exactly how her parents were going to react to this, she merely stood there, watching in a mixture of discomfort and weariness. She had taken ages to convince Elisia to even send the invitation and it had definitely not helped when they promptly refused it. She had been hoping that the money might help, but then again, it would have been better if they had come to visit themselves. Jerking out of her thoughts, she nodded in response to Tsukiko’s rather surprising statement. “It’s alright,” she replied swiftly, barely seeming to take notice of the fact that Tsukiko had left.

Wandering around the estate, she mused to herself, barely looking as if she had an idea of where she was going in the first place. Thoughts were swirling around her head, questions popping up in her mind. It was a good thing, actually, now that she thought about it, that Tsukiko didn’t accept the money since it would portray her as caring only about material things. Well, at least, everything had turned out pretty well for Eli herself. Stopping near a pond, she stared blankly at the water, before rousing herself. It was not like her to be caught up in her thoughts or thinking so deeply like this. She lifted her head, only to catch sight of a black-haired Shinigami, a Lieutenant who she had never seen before. Walking around the pond, she crossed it so that she was standing in front of him. Her sister had told her to socialize and it was about time that she did something like that instead of simply pushing it away. “Hello,” she said in the politest tone that she could muster, “Are you new?”

[ That was to Ciel, by the way, if I wasn't clear enough. >.< ]

Waving her hand dismissively, Tsukiko shook her head to Elisia's question. While she did not desire to tell Elisia about what he parents had done, she also felt that lying about it would be even worse. However, she also knew when to tell people things and when not to tell people things, and at this moment, there was no reason to burden Elisia with such thoughts, so Tsukiko decided to keep it to herself for now. She would definitely tell her when the honeymoon was over, but until then it was best to keep her conscience free for the time being. "No, it's nothing. I'll tell you later." Tsukiko had taken notice of the tears that had been trying to form in Elisia's eyes, but had passed them off as tears of joy and merely smiled inwardly at the thought. It was only now that she realized that she was hiding something, much in the same way Tsukiko was. Both of them were hiding something for the other's sake; they certainly were quite the pair.

Extending her hand, she tucked Elisia's hair behind her ear and smiled. Tsukiko intended to tell Elisia her stuff later, but she wanted to reassure Elisia that she could do the same. "Well, whatever your problem was, just know that I'm always here to listen. I can take what you can dish out, and then some, so don;t be afraid to unload on me. I love you, your problems are my problems and my happiness is your happiness. Okay?" Grinning, she dropped her hand and noticed the Senkaimon that had formed. Looking to her left she curiously watched her mother disappear inside, leaving Tsukiko to wonder what she was up to. Part of her was a little upset that Yuki was leaving during her wedding reception, but the other part of her reassured herself that her mother never did anything without purpose. Shrugging this off, Tsukiko absentmindedly took a slice of watermelon and stared at it before consuming the fruit. Tsukiko did not feel one way or the other about the food since she didn't have taste buds. A complex system in her mouth allowed her to sample chemicals and other such things and determine their chemical structure based on 'taste', but it did not allow her the same reception that taste buds did. It was watermelon, so she knew it was juicy and sweet, but she wasn't experiencing that. That was neither here nor there to her though, since taste was of little concern to her.

Hibiki Kirisho
- Squad Nine Captain -

================================================

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The gods trembled

Proving Tadashi’s rather brilliant deduction, Hibiki did indeed turn him down on his offer to involve Squad 2 on the matter, waving his hand dismissively as he replied ”Nah, I meet up with the guy every Saturday night to play cards, I’ll just yell at him then.” he spoke in a surprisingly nonchalant manner, given that he had just delivered a rather passionate monologue about it just a few moments ago. Noticing the book Tadashi handed him, Hibiki took it and look at the cover, noticing the title as Tadashi asked him his question. ”Hmm… so you’ve taken an interest in novels. That’s good, books save the mind from getting stagnant, it also staves off boredom.” spoke Hibiki as he handed the book over to Tadashi.

”Obviously I’d like to know what you think of it first.” he spoke as he pocketed one of his hands. ”Truth be told, it’s been a while since I’ve read that, and I don’t recall of the details.” continued Hibiki, as he recalled when he had acquired the book from a roommate of his who had lent him his copy, back when he was living in another different apartment complex. ”Though, from what I can recall, it focuses on topics like entrance to adulthood and alienation, mostly the former as I feel it to be the dominant theme in a great portion of the book.” he answered as he waited for Tadashi’s response. He was a bit curious as to why Tadashi had chosen such a novel, but he didn’t bother to ask until his previous question had been answered.

While waiting for Tadashi to respond to his question, and to perhaps comment on his statement, Hibiki was surprised by Kyo’s sudden appearance, given that he still hadn’t grown used to sensing other people’s reiatsu, or more specifically, using said reiatsu to approximate their proximity towards him. ”Hello to you too, Captain Kurihara.” spoke Hibiki as he greeted Kyo back. Listening to Kyo’s request, Hibiki immediately remembered it and took out a small paper covered box from underneath his jacket ”Yes, I acquired it.” replied Hibiki as he handed the box over to Kyo, inside he would fine a pair of handcuffs, a bit used but still functional, with the key still placed inside its hole ”It proved to be quite a hassle to acquire them. Though, what interests me is what you intend to do with them.” asked Hibiki, as he was indeed curious as to what Kyo would do with a pair of Human World handcuffs. Given that there was very little he could do to acquire these handcuffs as a Human, Hibiki instead decided to acquire them as a Shinigami, stealing them from a police officer as ‘payment’ after he had rescued him from a hollow.

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Tadashi nodded to Hibiki's response of the question he already knew the answer to. The messenger would get away with his little mistake. Still, as a Lieutenant, it was something he felt he should ask. Hibiki didn't seem too upset about missing the wedding, but as a Captain he'd probably be a bit discredited for seemingly skipping the ceremony. Tadashi listened with actual interest as he explained what he knew of the book, and with some surprise noted Hibiki was not aware he read Human World novels regularly. He thought it was common sense - in fact, he thought he'd even mentioned it to the Captain. Either way, as a Lieutenant, it gave him insight into the Human World. Even as recreational tools, reading them also was an alternative to sake.

"Honestly, taicho, i'm not sure what I think of this book. I feel as a person the author is trying to reach us with some symbolic meaning, yet I cannot see past the simple path the character walks. He seems to be confused, just wanting to live on instinct, counting on completely unreasonable ideas to guide him through. Granted, there is a large gap between we Shinigami and the Humans that the author is trying to reach, but..." Tadashi trailed off, uncertain what to say. In a way, Holden intrigued him as a character simply because of such confusion in his existance and the way he alienates others by writing them off as fake. Tadashi was a bit like that himself, after all. When he first met Elisia, he hated how she acted sickly sweet - it was just so fake to him, so wrong in a way. Yet, what attracted Tadashi to the main character most was that the boy was trying to find a reason to exist, from what the Lieutenant could tell.

The newest Captain came up just then, asking Hibiki for some item. Tadashi blinked in surprise, unsure why Kyo would come into contact with a Captain on-duty to request a Human World item. The confusion doubled when he saw just what the item was. Perhaps the 8th captain had a fetish he wanted to try out on some girl...? Tadashi banished that thought as soon as he'd considered it, trying to find some other reason for the hand cuffs. Just because he'd looked into some suggestive literature and found just what exactly the hand cuffs other function besides to subdue criminals was didn't mean Kyo automatically was planning on using them for that.
