"So what did you think of Lexie?" Thali asked her son, after their visit with Vate and his new addition. The boy had been silent when they had driven away. She silently wondered why. Vate's child hadn't been ill behaved, loud, or anything she had expected him to be. Just a polite, quiet boy.
"I didn't like him." Josh was blunt as he looked at his mother. "He didn't want to play any of the games I like. He didn't want to play knights, or find dragons, or pirates, or anything. He said he didn't like fighting and didn't want to play with someone who did." He folded his arms. "And he doesn't like pirates because they steal, and he doesn't like dragons because they breath fire. He's boring."
Thali almost chuckled. To think of Vate with a child that calm was amusing. They seemed to be exact opposites. "Well, I'm sure you'll find a game you both like." She reassured her oldest. She knew they would. Her son had never met another child he hadn't gotten along with. With the exception of Nataya's younger sister, 'Zuba. That was a special case.
Joshua looked uncertain. "He didn't even want to watch Uncle Vate's sword fighting skills. He said it's dangerous." The boy rolled his eyes. He just didn't see how sword fighting could be dangerous. Maybe Lexie was more like his dad. "He didn't want to listen to scary stories even. And when Uncle Vate read us a fairy tale, he made him skip the best part! Where the prince has to save the princess from the evil dragon!"
"I'm sure that's because he's only just getting settled," Thali began. "He's probably just getting used to things.. and doesn't want to.."
"I don't like him." Josh finished.
Obviously, if you skipped parts in a fairy tale, you weren't a friend.

PRP with Gabe -In Progress- Quote: Thali smiled at Millie, and said, "It depends on what you call books." She paused in thought, "I haven't gotten many published.. a couple were written for Josh and Vinny.. So.. I don't know, I haven't counted them.." She frowned in thought.
Joshua smiled politely at Marcy, before finishing his sandwich. "Do you like playing pretend?" He asked.Millie just smiled she didn't know what to say " Thats cool" thought for a bit " Maybe you can show me one of your books sometime" she smiled. Marcy looked up " Yea I do that all the time with my brothers and sisters" she gave a half grin back to him. Gabriel moved around abit in his seat "well if we want to play in the balls , we need to get going , it is getting kind of late". Marcy and Millie where ready to play. " So Thali , you still want to come with us" he asked. Thali smiled, "Sure," She said, looking at Millie. "I'd love to show you sometime," She nodded at Gabriel. "I think Joshua would like that," She said.
Joshua smiled. Finally, something he could relate to. "What do you pretend to be?" He asked.Millie jumped out of the seat , then Gabriel then Marcy. "Well lets get a move on" Gabriel said. Marcy as she walked said " anything we want to be , even monsters" she giggled. Thali and Joshua stood, Joshua tagging along with Marcy, because he was curious. She wasn't like any patch child he'd met.
"Monsters?" He repeated, frowning. He'd never been a monster before. "I'm mostly a knight. Always a good guy though." He nodded as wisely as he could.Marcy got up real close to Josh " Im the worse kind of monster " she ran next to a palm tree. "I put spells on knights" Gabriel looked at her " Don't be silly honey" Millie just giggled. They kept walking till they got to the play ground. Marcy ran into a red tube thing right away then up a latter. Millie went to play on the slide that led to the pit of balls. Gabriel sat on a bench. Joshua blinked. Spells on knights? That didn't sound like any kind of monster he'd heard of! More like an evil witch.. He ran to the slide, and went down it face first.
Thali looked at Gabriel, and shrugged. She didn't know what to talk about.Marcy reached the top of the slide , that broke down into three differnts parts. "Ohh is there any great princes to save me" she shouted. Millie got a sparkle in her eyes. " not if I can help it " she swhooshed around the balls then she hid herself close by the ladder to get to Marcy. Gabriel turned to Thali " So what was it like finding Josh ?" he asked. Josh grinned, and climbed up the slide. "I'll save you!" He said, reaching for her hand.
Thali smiled, "Wonderful!" She said, her smile reaching her eyes. "I had always wanted children. So when Josh's cabbage opened.." Her smile brightened at the memory. "It's hard to explain."Millie tryed to climb up after Josh but the slide was much to steep and much to high for her to climb so she ended up sliding back down. " I will get you next time" she shouted. Marcy grabbed onto his hand but he started to slip from her grip. So she yanked with all her might. She fell backwards and Josh landed on her. " Ohh gosh" she said looking into his green eyes. Gabriel got all warm thinking about such happy moments such as seeing his Simi-Twins for the first time and Millie. " Yea babies change everything" he smiled. Josh blushed instantly, from embarassment. "I'm sorry," He said, trying to stand up. He offered a hand to help her up. "Are you okay? I guess I'm not very good at saving people yet.."
Thali smiled and nodded. "Exactly," She said. She looked at Gabriel. "You have a wife, right?" She asked.Marcy smiled , "Im fine". Her fake leg came undone a little so she snapped it back on. She was thankfull it hadn't come off fully . It was hard to get back on by herself. She stood up with no help so she could get the leg back in place. " You will get better in time, I just know it" she gave him a little fake punch. Gabriel moved his head back and forth suggesting no "nope , just me six kids, and a farm full of wonderful people , you should stop by sometime we would love to have a visitor" he said in a cheery voice " do you have a loved one?" he asked. Joshua looked hopeful. "I hope so." He said, "Maybe when I get a little older.. then I'll be big enough to save everyone!" He smiled at her. "But first, I have to be big enough to protect my little sisters." He pointed at Thali.
Thali nodded, and then paused."My husband," She said, finally. "We've been fighting lately.. It'll get better once the babies are born." She looked at her stomach. Millie snuck up the latter and flung herself at Marcy. Marcy went down the slide "nooo" she shouted going down the slide. " Now its your turn boy " she said in a dark voice. She made her hands like she was putting spell on him. *She winked* " Now your a real nutcracker" she said. " Will your princess like you now , ha ha ha" she shouted. She ran down the latter and hid. "Well when you have the baby you should come over" he said. He looked at her belly "when did you find out?". Joshua couldn't help it, he giggled. He put his hands to his sides, and tried to be stiff like a nutcracker. "The princess has to save me now!" He said.
Thali nodded, "I'd like that." She said, before pausing. "A couple months ago.. Ben wasn't too happy.."Marcy tried to climb the slide but fell down, after her seventh climb she got the feel of it , and made it up , but her fake leg popped out kind of and when she got to the top she felt it come out , she landded right on top of Josh. Saddly for Marcy her leg was in the ball pit. " Why wasn't Ben happy" Gabriel asked? Joshua blinked as he was knocked down. "Are you okay, princess?" He asked, with a tilt of his head. Then he noticed one of her legs were missing! "I'll save the rest of you too!" He told her, moving out from under her, and diving into the ball pit. "Got it!" He grabbed her fake leg and handed it to her.
Thali frowned. "He didn't like the idea of more children at first.." She started, with a sigh. "He didn't like the idea of rushing into things.""Thank you Marcy" said " Now im going to need your help " she said in a uneasy voice " Millie my leg came undone " she shouted. Millie ran from hiding, to up the latter. " Can you hold me up " Marcy asked. Millie nodded and held her. " Now just hold my leg as I place myself inside " she asked of Josh. Gabriel almost said something rude but then came back really fast " Well Im sure he will get use to him or her". Josh held the fake leg for her. He didn't know what else to do.
Thali nodded, "Don't get me wrong," She said, "He loves children, especially Josh and Vinny. Joshua's friend Nataya seems to get along with him better than anyone. I suppose it just came as a shock to him when I told him.""Thanks guys" Marcy cheered. Millie jumped down the slide into the ball pit. Macry jumped down on the slide " you going to come Josh said. " We can go down together" she said. " Well you two must come over , we have an excellent garden." He boasted in a modest voice.

Written March 4th, 2008 You carry more baggage than a Mama's boy On his first day of school "So how was school?" Thali seemed genuinely curious. And she was; it wasn't an act. She'd never been to public school, or otherwise. Unless you count the college course she took with an insane professor who had insisted that she was a fae. That had been almost fifty years ago; she didn't like to talk about that. To say the least, she had finished up her college courses online much later. "It was...." Joshua struggled to find the right words. "It was..." He didn't seem able to describe it. It had been confusing, but enjoyable. He hadn't liked it at first, but he had gotten used to it fairly quickly. It wasn't something you could describe. "Was Nattie there? Did you make any friends? Did you like your teachers? Do the classes seem hard?" Thali prompted him. "Nattie's in my art class." Josh said with a smile. "And another class, too." He seemed pleased that he had a class with the sugar plum fairy. "She says she'll invite me to study sometime!" He paused, "I met a boy named Casca, too. He's cool." Well, cool wasn't the right word for the boy he'd met, Josh couldn't think of one that really fit him. The boy paused, and thought. "I don't really know what to think about the teachers yet." He admitted. "Maybe when I get to know them better. The classes don't seem too hard.. Except math." Thali nodded, pleased. She was happy her son had classes with people he knew, and was already making friends. "I always had trouble in math." She told him in a mock whisper. "If you ever have trouble with homework, you'll have to ask Dad. He's good at that." She was referencing to the fact that whenever the family played Monoply, Ben was the banker. Josh grinned at her. "Maybe I'll get so good at it, I can help you with your homework!" He teased. Thali just grinned back, shaking her head. "I have a calculator for that." She said.

He had to be the most angelic child Thali had yet set eyes on. Copper colored curls that covered his pointed ears up to the very tip. The soft curls landed gently on his neck. He had large blue eyes that had a bashful look to them. He had a pink and white complexion, delicate rosy cheeks that dimpled when he smiled.
Thali was fascinated. What was such a child doing in her house? She didn't think he was one of Joshua's friends. No, she was sure she knew most of them, and this boy wasn't on her mental list.
She'd never seen a child so... charming.. enchanting.. So... Wait a moment. He looked too familar. There was something in his eyes that told her he knew who she was, even if she didn't know him.
Thali put a hand to her forehead in irritation. She had just realized who this child was, and was none too happy about it. She reached in her pocket to take out the letter her mother had sent her. So the child's name was Davian. And she was supposed to get aquainted with him. Argh!
Why had her parents chosen now to have another child? Why... How annoying.
The elf was experiencing sibling rivalry for the first time.

We need a plots post on every page, haha. I feel like I'm repeating myself when I say do not read this post unless you are part of one of the plots within this post. Trust me, if you were, you'd know.
Marina, I want to torture someone. I just can't figure out who I want to torture most. I think it's a tie between Duncan and Almie or Vate and Stasia.
...Can we do both? Let's do both! ...I'm really bored. Anyway, unless you know what Marina and I have said in IM, you won't understand this at all. Ha! You thought you were going to get away with seeing my plots.
Josh's crush on Nattie develops. ....It's not really a 'crush'. He resents my using that word. Josh to meet up with Nef again. Josh to discover his abilities in a solo entry or RP with Marina because I'm epic and feel like writing this when she already knows the plots. Josh to bother Matthias soon. Someday. Risa's crush on Matthias to develop. Kieran shows up later. Ben and Thali to have another fight. Preferably after the twins are born so Thali doesn't punch Ben in the face. That would spoil his good looks. Freya to show up more. Josh to become more Princely. Not snobby princely. More noble~ Vate to stop whining about my plots not having him in them. Okay, okay. Vate and Stasia to have another PD. Vate's only met Stasia's kids once, maybe he should meet them again? Alexei would like Zemel. Davian to torture Thali. Poor Thali. Davian to be babysat by said older sister. Hopefully Averi hasn't found out where his son's staying. That would be bad. Speaking of Averi.. He needs to show up. Maybe he'll show up when he realizes where said toddler is.

"What. Are. You. Doing. In. My. House?"
Was all Thali could manage as as she gazed up at her father. She hadn't known he knew where she stayed. Had he let her escape? Was he here to take her back?
Averi took one swift glance around the room. He didn't say anything, but you could tell what he was thinking by the look on his face. 'You call this a house?' was written in his body language.
His thoughts were interupted by an irritated sounding Thali. "Why are you here?" She asked. She really was working hard to be polite and not kick him out of the house.
He frowned as he realized she was pregnant--and showing. It was common knowledge that elves rarely showed signs of pregnancy until late. He had only seen Almira angry once; when she had been pregnant with Thali. His daughter might have inherited that trait, and she was bad enough without being filled with angry hormones. He decided to explain.
"Your mother told me I would find Davian here." He told her. Thali merely frowned at him.
"You want to take him away?" She asked. You can imagine what a struggle it was for her to remain civil. She had never gotten along with her father. They had always fought. Never been able to understand each other. It had always been that way, ever since she could remember.
Averi shook his head. "Your mother thinks it is time you two get aquainted." He said.
"But why are you here?" She asked again, with a slight tilt of her head. Now she was curious. She knew her father wouldn't have come if he hadn't had a reason.
Averi took another glance around the room. "Your children?" He asked, gesturing to Joshua and Vinny; who were on their stomachs in front of the television, playing with action figures.
Thali merely nodded. Why would he be interested in them? Was he planning on taking them? She frowned, and decided to tell him their names. He was their grandfather, after all. Whether she trusted him or not. "That's Joshua, and Vincent." She gestured to each boy in turn.
Averi nodded to himself. "Nice names." He said.
Thali gave him a confused look, and silently counted to ten to keep her temper. He had to have a reason for being there. What was he planning? "I'm sorry, Sir. You haven't told me why you are here." She said.
Averi frowned, he didn't know what to say. Having Davian had changed his entire outlook. Having another child had made him realize the mistakes he'd made with his daughter. "I suppose... I've come to apologize."
That surprised Thali. She sat on the couch, and invited him to do the same. "Apologize?" She repeated. "For what?"
Averi frowned, apologizing to his daughter was harder than he had thought. She had inherited Almira's way of.. well, there wasn't really a word for it. "For how I treated you." He explained, with a sigh.
Whatever Thali had expected, it hadn't been that. "What?" She asked, sounding surprised.
Her father frowned, and silently put his arms around her. He figured that would say all the things he felt he needed to. And it did.

Joshua couldn't help staring at the bundles his parents had brought home. What were they? Why were they making so much noise? They didn't sound remotely human. What were they? New pets? If they were, he could finally agree with his father that his mother had bad taste in pets.
When it came to siblings, the boy had expected something bigger. Something like Vinny had been when his mother had gone to get him. Someone that could talk and play. But these! They didn't look like they would be any fun at all! Could these really be the siblings his parents had promised him so long ago? The two playmates he'd looked so forward to meeting?
Ben leaned down to show his older son the tightly wrapped bundle he was holding. "Joshua, this is your sister. Samantha." Why was Dad smiling? Before the twins had showed up, he'd always been arguing about them! But now he seemed so happy.. Josh didn't see how anyone could be happy about something that looked like that!
Josh went to look over at his mother, who was carefully holding another bundle. He peered at it curiously. Thali smiled at him, and moved so he could see the infant's face.
So tiny, and pink. And wrinkly. Josh didn't see anything interesting about them.
But apparently, his parents did. He'd never seen such an expression on his father's face. So happy. So calm. And his mother looked happier than he'd seen her in months, though tired. Why was she so tired? They had gone to the babystore yesterday--come back today with tiny pink things.
As he peered over at Samantha, a new thought came into his head. He suddenly didn't care if his parents wanted to take the babies back to the store or not.
He wouldn't let them. They were his. And they were worthy of his protection.
