Vincent was disapointed. After a week of being told he was older, and didn't have to be watched so carefully; he was back at the park. Being watched. By his mother, of all the people who could embarass him, she was by far the most skilled at it.
And it was a park in Barton, no less. The most peaceful town in all of Gaia, for crying out loud! It wasn't like it was Durem, or had some kind of gang. It wasn't as if they had to worry about G-corp, or any of those things.
So why had his mother chosen to bring he and his older brother to the park? Not even Joshua knew.
"Well dad says it's because of h..." The older boy never got to finish his sentence, because Thali had made her way over.
"Why don't you go play?" She asked. "You might meet someone new."

'Two blocks down pass the pup down a three way street you should see a big hat slide'. Those where the directions on the letter. Gabriel had Marcy with him since the others where busy with other activities , plus Marcy could handle the long car ride. ' Bring some of your prize plant buds'.
Gabriel looked forward to there meeting. He enjoyed meeting her at the Borton mall , so this seemed like a great plan and Marcy really liked Josh. He turned back to Marcy. " You love looking outside the window don't you" he said.
Marcy looked back at him with a grin bigger then any smile you ever saw. " Yea I do " she said all cute and stretchy. "I think I see the big hat slide" Gabriel said as he tried to find parking. He hated to parallel park but it seemed he had to. He almost hit a hot pink buggy, but managed to pull in safely.
He got out of his car and looked for Thalie and gang. Marcy did the same.

Vincent paused as he saw a car drive into the parking lot. He glanced at his mother, who seemed to be busy critiqueing some of her husband's latest works. Namely a manuscript of the fantasy varity. Vinny couldn't help but think that she'd set this up. Why else would she bring flowers?
Joshua had seen Marcy, and was silently walking behind his younger brother. Vinny happened to be an easy person to hide behind. He was taller. "Don't let her see me!" He muttered. "Is Millie with her?"
Vinny frowned slightly. Why wouldn't his older brother want to be seen? "Who's Millie?" He asked. "I only see a girl with red hair.. and some guy.. probably her dad."

Marcy looked around "I see them" she pointed at the group. What was he doing , she realized he was hiding from her. Well wasn't that cute. She walked up to Vinny with the nicest smile she could come up with " ohh hello my name is Marcy how are you" she gave off one more warm smile. She walked right passed Josh and didn't give him one look " Hello Miss. Thali how are you" she reached out her hand to be shaken.
Gabriel walked up behind Marcy " I got my buds" he looked around realizing that could be taken bad. He held his freshly snipped flower buds in a plastic bag.

Vinny smiled at the younger girl. "I'm doing good," He said. " My name's Vincent. Though, most people call me Vinny." He nodded and paused before saying, "Nice to meet you Marcy."
At first Joshua was a bit surprised that his tatic had worked. But then he realized something. There was no way she'd missed him. Was she ignoring him? He'd never gotten ignored before! It was a new experience. One he didn't like.
"Hello Marcy," Thali said, smiling brightly at the toddler. "I'm doing fine, how about you?" She looked at Gabe. "Oh, you brought them." She said, smiling. "Here's mine." She handed him a bag of buds.

She turned back to Vinny "Want to go play on the slide" she said smiling. She had on a green shirt and blue shorts but looked like a skirt. " I'll race you" she said giggling.
He reached out his hand and took her buds , then handed his. " What kind of plants are they, mine are plumeria , and camellia buds". He said with a grin.

Vinny smiled slightly, but he noticed Joshua's look. "Can Josh play too?" He asked, with a tilt to his head. He'd thought Josh and Marcy were friends.. but friends didn't leave people out. This wasn't right at all. And his older brother looked almost sad. Vincent blinked, and took a closer look at his brother. Josh? Sad? Impossible. He was probably thinking about something else.
Josh was frowning. An unusual expression for him. He was almost always cheerful, taking after his mother. Why was Marcy ignoring him? He sighed. Stupid toddlers anyway. Who needed them? He silently headed to the swings. He sat, his feet barely touching the ground. And in the barren playground, a sight like this made you want to hug him. Poor kid.
Thali smiled, "Daffodils, lilies, lilacs." She told him, gesturing to each bud in turn. She suddenly frowned. She'd caught sight of Josh.

Well Marcy didn't care if Josh was upset , she decided to run off without Vinny . They could comfort each other she had slides to climb and flowers to smell. She didn't understand why Josh was so weird around her and if he didn't like the way she looked she couldn't help it. Her mind raced as she ran , how come boys did this to her. She played on the slide and waited for the boys.
Gabriel saw Thali peek at Josh so he decided to walk up to him and swing with him. He wondered if the swing would hold him but he took a chance. " whats up buddy?" he asked.

Vinny shrugged. He went to play on the monkey bars. If Marcy wouldn't play with Josh, he didn't think he could play with her either. That wouldn't be very nice, would it? And brothers were supposed to be each other's best friend, right? That's what their mother liked to tell them.
Josh looked at Gabriel. "Hi Mr. Gabriel," he said, forcing a smile. He had to be polite anyway. "Nothing much. Just swinging." He frowned slightly, and pumped his legs to demonstrate to the man. "Marcy doesn't want to play with me." He explained.

Gabriel swung with the boy , he looked over at Marcy who was on the top hat slide. She was laying belly side down she seemed to be looking at something on her hand. " Have you talked to her Mr.Josh" he asked. He knew Marcy wasn't mad at him. " I think you would be much happier if you did" he said with a father tone and smile.
Marcy was looking at a Spider crawling on her hand. She was really happy with it and just enjoyed watching him crawl and explore her hand. He was mostly black but had one yellow stripe across his back. Millie was just smiling and giggling.

Josh blinked. He hadn't thought of talking to her. "Thank you, Mr. Gabriel." He said, smiling. He jumped off the swing, landing on his feet. He made his way towards Marcy. "Wow, a spider!" He said.
Vincent noticed Josh, and smiled. He climbed down from the bars, and headed towards the two. If they were getting along, he would play with both. "Cool," He said, having set eyes on the spider. "What's his name?"

Marcy looked at the boys now interested in her " I don't know it hasn't told me , maybe one day he will " She put her hand down on the slide floor and let it crawl away. "This place is much to dangerous for a spider anyway" she put her feet near the slide. It was so big and she didn't know if she would like the feeling of going down really fast. She looked to make sure the spider was out of the way so she woudn't hurt him and once she knew it was safe she slid down "Weeee" she shouted. " You guys got to try it , its like 100X better then any other slide" her belly felt funny still.

Josh grinned. He liked spiders, as did most boys his age. He also liked lizards, snakes, and all those things mothers tended to dislike. As Marcy let the spider go, for a nanosecond there seemed to be a frown on his face. It vanished as he went on the slide. He'd never been on a slide quite like it.
Vinny quickly followed his brother's lead, accidently running into the older boy with his feet. Well, it was Josh's fault for not standing up quick enough! Though.. he assumed he should apologize. "Sorry," He said.

Marcy looked at the boys , and giggled at them running into each other. Marcy saw the spider webbing down from the slide. She reached her hand up and let him land on her. " It found me " she shouted. She kind of did a hula move by moving her hips around , she was so excited but she didn't want to scare the spider since she had no idea if it was piousness or not.

Joshua quickly jumped off of the slide. "Lemme see!" He said, looking at her hand. "Wow." He said, "I think we have spiders like that in our house. Mom likes to say they're helpful and they don't hurt people.. but she doesn't like them much." He giggled. "Dad says it's because they have eight legs."
Vinny nodded when he reached the two. "Yeah, that's a common house spider," He said. "But what's it doing at the park?"
