Tykier went, alone, to the park just outside the city limits. He never got to go there. He looked around, everyone was having fun, but there were others who were looking at him. He knew what they were thinking...
What is he..!!?!
He heard it all before. But it didn't get to him, now that he knows that he can't help it that he looks like that, and that he knows he's destined for far greater things in life...

Joshua and Vinny were sitting on the swings, exchanging ideas about what they were going to get their father for his birthday. Ben was harder to get gifts for than say, their mother. She always said what she wanted.
Their father... Not so much. "Well, maybe he'd like something artsy.." Josh suggested. "He likes drawing."
Vinny nodded, though the younger boy seemed distracted. He'd caught sight of a boy that seemed slightly older than both he and his brother. He jumped off the swing. "Hi," He said, politely. "What's your name?"

Tykier, surprised at the sudden greeting, turned around and saw another spawn, who was younger than him. "Hello," he smiled, then continued, "My name's Tykier... And you..?"

Joshua got up to follow his younger brother. Sure they were only two months apart, and sure, Vinny was taller and grew faster than he did. That didn't keep him from being the protective older brother.
"I'm Vincent," Vinny said, smiling, "Though, you can call me Vinny. Everyone does." He smiled and looked at his brother, "This is Josh," He added.

Ty looked over at Joshua, "Hello," then continued, "I, too, have a nickname, it's Ty... Everyone of my friends call me that..!"
The older spawn smiled, "So, what are you two doing here..?"

Vinny smiled, "Can I call you Ty then?" He asked, politely. It would have been rude to consider himself Tykier's friend when they had just met, right? Right. "We're here to play," Vinny said, smiling. "I've never seen you here before. Maybe we come at different times?"
It was true that both Joshua and Vinny were at the park fairly often. Josh smiled at the older boy and said, "Or maybe you don't come very often?"

"Well, to tell the truth... I've never came here before..." It was true. He never did, in all his life, came to this park. It was just that he had time to visit this place, and his Mother said that it was okay, since he was older. "It's okay... I really consider children, like us, friends to me... Unless, if they're really mean... Then I won't let them..." He smiled again.

Vinny smiled, "Well, we're not mean," He reassured his new friend. Joshua nodded, and smiled at Ty to show that he was friendly. Neither had met many preteens, they usually stuck with their age group. Ty seemed friendly.
"Do you like to play games?" Joshua asked, with a slight tilt of his head. He'd never played a game with a preteen before, either. He'd played with teenagers, sure. But that had been when he was a toddler.

"Sure," he kindly said, "what game do you want to play..?" Ty was taught to always see what other people liked to play before assuming things...

Vinny and Josh exchanged looks before idenitical grins spread across their faces. "Well, we like playing make believe," Vinny started, looking at his brother.
"And tag," Joshua added, smiling.
"And hide-n-seek." Vinny continued, without Joshua prompting him.
"And--"
The two could have gone on for hours. "What do you like to play, Ty?" Vinny asked, politely.

Tykier laughed at the two's rambling, "I don't mind playing tag and hide-and-seek... How about both, at the same time..!" He never tried that before. It could be fun..!

"Hide-n-seek tag?" Vinny asked with a smile. He'd never played that before, but it sounded fun! He looked at his brother, who nodded in agreement.
"It sounds like fun," Josh said, smiling. "Do you want to be it?" He asked. If Ty didn't want to be it, Josh would make Vinny do it.

The two boys exchanged a look, before Vinny grinned at the prospect of a challenge. "You count," He said, nodding. "To..." He paused, thinking of a number.
"Count to twenty," Joshua finished.
