Orpheus gave a groan as he tossed the pen down on the desk and closed the notebook that he was writing it with a slam. Writing wasn't really help was it? Was just making him that much more ticked off really. He leaned back in his seat, putting his feet up on the desk. Maybe he should see what the other teachers that had been present that night thought? The first one he thought to go to would be Kat, she'd been with Alan before he left maybe she knew more then he did? He would have to see about talking with her.

The redhead pushed up to his feet and headed out of the mainroom that he was staying in to go to look in on each of his kids, Ligeia was curled up in his hammock with a wing sheilding him as he slept. Underneath of him was Vorel who stirred and lifted his head to look over as the door opened allowing in the light of the hall and some warmth, "Shhh. Go back to sleep Vorel." He murmured and the dragon listened as he didn't mind Orpheus or worry over him peeking in, it meant he was being a good human. He gave a croon before laying his head back down, tail wagging a little.

Orpheus then crossed the hall to open the other door. Ter was sprawled out over the mat that he used for a bed. It was covered in an electric blanket as the boy was fond of the heat and the cooling weather was starting to annoy him.

And Baroness was... Where was she?

There was a hiss and the dragon lunged at him... until she saw who it was and skidded to a halt best that she could before running into his legs. She looked almost embaressed as she looked up at him and gave a sort of half hiss, half cough, "Its alright, go back to guarding Ter. Good girl." He murmured, scratching her under the chin in a way that almost had her purring. ALMOST! As she was NOT a nice dragon damn it! She caught herself before she nuzzled against his hand and scrammbled back to take up her position as guard at the sleeping snake's side. While she didn't understand what had happened while they were away at the party all she knew was that SOMETHING had and everyone had come home rather tense. She meant to protect her snake from whatever had happened.

They were both alright and sleeping well he decided before going to lay down on the couch, clicking on the TV though he wasn't watching it. He was going over the party in his mind again trying to figure out what he'd missed.

Meeting Between Old Friends

Life was good, life was very, very, very good. Ter couldn't help but lift a hand to examine his ears for what had to be the tenth time in the passed few minutes, "Coolest thing ever." He murmure to Baroness who was walking alongside him. In exchange for his venom that his father needed for a class he'd gotten the man to sign a release for that said that he could get piercings done at a local place and thus far he'd taken advantage of said note. He had several new piercings in each ear and he was considering an eyebrow or nose ring. He wasn't sure which one he wanted yet. As for the Baroness each time he got a new piece of jewelry so did she. A ton bracelets and necklaces that were wrapped around her spines in a decorative fashion.

The two of them were heading back from said store aftergetting some new stuff.

They looked awesome if you asked him, kick a** and many! Nothing like his damnedable brother... sister... whatever you would call Ligeia at this point.

Kale held a couple of books in his arms and stopped. Wasn't that Ter? He looked to the side and saw that his mom was still looking threw the shelves of books in the store and he darted out to say hi. "Ter! Ter!" He called waving his hand to get the snake boy's attion.

Ter blinked, lifting his head and looked around. Someone was calling his name? Who? He caught sight of another child, spotted... Kale? "Kale?" He murmured, then blinked in surprise as suddenly his wyvern was rushing forward away from his side and towards the other child.
Baroness gave a half squeal, half growl of delight as she rushed along forward. What luck! There was a giraffe! Who would have thought her so lucky as to find one of those in such a place?!

And then she lunged for the spotted child and tastey treat all rolled into one!

Ter gave a choked sound, "Baroness!"

Kale's eyes widned and he squeeked as he started to run, darting behind bench. Bending down low and covering his head with his heads.

"Baroness! No eating friends!" He yelled again, reaching out and missing her tail as she scammpered along after the giraffe, hopping up with a little flap of her wings onto the bench to look over it at him. Her tongue flicked out before she licked her lips, Mm... tastey! She wanted a nice, yummy bite of giraffe!

Kale looked up at her with huge eyes, "Ter! Help please! Make her stop looking me like that!" He yelped from his hidding place.

Ter gave a groan, lifting a hand to rub at his forehead. Think, think... had to be something that he could do so that she didn't eat Emer's child. He was sure that the woman would end up getting pissed off at HIM instead of at Baroness so it was up to him to figure it out.... Ummm... "Baroness! Come here or I take the shinies!"

Baroness gave a sound of shock as if she were totally betrayed by Ter in that moment for such a threat. Kale got one last, hungry look before she quickly moved away from him. She would eat him later when her partner wasn't around to stop her...

Kale slowly crept out from under the bench, but didn't step away from it. he looked ready to dive under it at a moments notice. "Uh... Hi Ter... Why did she try to eat me?"

Ter looked over at the giraffe for a long, drawn out moment then gave a cough, "Hungry I think." He murmured, it would seem that the giraffe didn't know he was on the Wyvern Menu... odd since he was getting on himself when his egg hatched. Maybe he shouldn't tell him? Though it would be good for him to know so he could be prepared... Hmm...

Kale frowned, wondering what the look was for. Then his eyes widned in suprise. "Hey... your talking now! When did you decied to talk?"

Ter clicked out his tongue and couldn't help but grin a bit, "Not long ago." He said, shrugging. Words didn't come easily still he would have to think on some of them and his sentences were nromally short and a little choppy, "Talking is... ok." He preferred body language though even if it were easier only for him and not for everyone around him.

He reached over to pet Baroness, "About when Baroness hatched." He had a reason to talk then, so that the little Wyvern could understand.

Kale grinned, "That is great! Now we can talk too! Momma is letting me get some more books, most of them are about computers and stuff. Baroness looks great! I bet she is alot of fun. My dragon will look like her won't it?"

Ter blinked, Kale was a lot better at his words it would seem and rather curious as well, so he nodded, "Will look like yours." He agreed, "You have... books on Wyverns yet?" He asked, maybe it would be good for him study up on the dragons before his own partner made a meal of him? Or would it be that since it was Kale's dragon it wouldn't eat him? It had Ter a little curious really.

Kale nodded and pointed in to where Emer was with a pile of books to the side of her. "Yes, in there. Momma has to pay for them yet. But I got lots of books on wayverns too." He grinned proud that he had thought to get them.

The snake nodded again, "Thats good. Good to have. Baroness, Kale is getting a Wyvern too."

Baroness blinked then she seemed for a moment to smile, another Wyvern? A last, a minion worthy to serve under her. With help she would be able to beat the monster that Vorel! She gave a flutter of her wings, she wanted to meet this new Wyvern as soon as it was possible. She would even spare her 'snacks' life to be able to do so.


Kale smiled, his tail whipping back and forth and his ears twitching with happiness. "I'm glade you like the idea of me having a wyvern too!" He grinned.

He nodded, "Interesting to know friend has the same dragon. Wyvern are best dragons." He knew this to be a fact! Why? Because HE had a Wyvern which meant that they HAD to be the best sort of dragon's ever. He gave Baroness a pat, "Show Kale your tail."

Baroness did so, showing lifting it up and over so he could see the decorative end, "They are poisonous. Mr. Coleman said so, they stab their prey with the tail." He sounded so pround of that fact.

Kale's eyes widened in fascination just stoping short of touching one of the barbs. "Wow..... that is so COOL!"

Baroness preened and flicked her tail back and forth liking this attention from another person, yes. She was cool wasn't she? MUCH cooler then Vorel! Ter had an all encompassing desire to be better then his brother, stronger, smarter, faster and in turn Baroness was the exact same with Ligeia's dragon. Even if the Frost was bigger then she was she would figure out how to best him yet!

"She is very cool, bet yours will be too." He said, nodding.

Kale grinned over at Ter, "You really think so? I hope he is as cool as her! She is the best!"

Ter gave a fanged smile, he wished that Ligeia was here to hear Kale saying that. That Baroness was the best! That meant that Vorel... well wasn't and that pleased the cobra more then anything else in the world could. Kale he decided was one of his new favorite people just after his Kissy-Kitty.

Baroness was even looking at the giraffe in a new way, seeing him now as more then something to chew on.

"Want to come over? You and Baroness? Then we can look at the books together." Kale offered as he noticed Emer was paying for the massive pile of books.

"Need to go home first." He said, smiling, "Dad may want to come." It had been a while since he had seen Kale and equally as long since his father had seen Emer. The man missed her so it would only be nice of him to get his father. Besides... if he let him know about Emer now his father would be to happy to get angry over the amount of holes he had in his ears.

"Oh, okay" Kale nodded, fine with that, his ears twitching happily. Emer walked out of the store and smiled at the three of them. "Why hello Ter. Nice to see you. I like all your piercings."

Ter seemed almost to puff up some at her compliment, "Thank you." He said, grinning happily. Yes, he quite liked both of these two, they would be added to his list of people that he liked he decided to himself, "Was gonna come over if its ok?" He asked of her, wanting to make sure that it was alright before he told his father and headed over there with all of the family.

Emer grinned and nodded, "Your alwasy welcome at my house. You and all of your family. I'll defrost some stakes for you and your dragon and you can stay for dinner." Kale blinked and looked up at Emer, "Momma you said I could get pirecings when I was older. Can I get some now?" Emer looked down and grinned, "When you are as old as Ter. Now help me get these books home." She looked over at Ter, "See you soon?"

Ter nodded his head, "Yes! See you soon." He said, as quickly as he could get home and fetch teh others then he would head over to Kale's place. Should be interesting once Kale's Wyvern was born, Baroness could show him the 'enemy' that was Vorel and they could team up! He gave a little happy back and forth flick of his tail before waving, "Byes!" He said then turned to hurry off.

Baroness gave a growling sound that was her goodbye before heading off after her partner.
