[PD] Something Festive! ... Ish [Ter and Zyanya][FIN]

He had been watching them from afar for a while now, people all done up in red and green clothing, they were standing around in the mall singing about trees, presents, and some fat guy named Claws. Interesting... He looked over to where his father and brother had gone, shopping for clothing by the looks of it. Nothing that interested him really. He looked away from them to slither his way forward, making his way through the crowd not really looking where he was going to leave the other mall patrons to dodge him.

He gave a pleased sound as he got closer, they were singing about deer now. The sons made very little sense to the snake child, deer didn't fly and why would a guy sneak into peoples houses at night and get away with it? That fat would get a good biting if he came into Ter's house.

The lady at the end nearest to him gave him a glances then motioned to him, holding out the papers she was holding that had on them the words to the songs they sung. He scooted forward to look them over and falling into the caroling easy enough since he'd been listening for a while. While he didn't get the songs didn't mean he couldn't sing along, after all he liked song and dance... not that he would admit it. Ever.

Zyanya was in the mall, attempting she supposed to christmas shop. Of course...her brother was with her, no self respecting parent would let their seven year old wander around by herself. So Chath had been appointed to go with her. Lucky him. And...lucky for her as well. Zyanya always managed to escape his brothers gaze and slip off into the mall without him even noticing.

She knew he would be looking for her, and...she was fairly easy to spot. All white, big eyes, wings...extra side Legs. Can't miss her. Soon though she was far enough away that ...she was sure her brother wouldn't spot her instantly.

The mall was crowded, full of people. It overwhelmed her senses, thus she didn't really like it much. But soon she could hear singing, and that drew he to a large group of people (yes even 4 or five seemed large to her) who were singing some nonsense song about reindeer flying.

She only lingered caused she spotted one thing that jarred against the rest. Tev. The snake boy was singing along with them and she just couldn't stop staring at him. What is that saying again? one of these things is not like the other? one of these things just doesn't belong?a

The group finished up the song and then they broke for a rest, time to get drinks, use the bathroom, all that stuff the one that was in charge told them. With the music at an end Ter turned to leave the group, one song was good enough he didn't want to risk his family learning that he liked to do something so girly. Especially with as often as he teased Ligeia about the fact that he was turning into a girl.

Ter slithered forward only a short ways before something flashy that had nothing to do with the current holiday caught his eye. He turned towards Zyanya, tilting his head to the side and flicked his tongue out at the girl. He couldn't get anything though from the air of what she was, the area was far to crowded for him to desern one thing from another.

So he kinda... starred back at her before getting out, "Ahh... hello."

A bit starteled she gave a half wave with the tips of her fingers. Egad he was speaking to her! Uh er...not sure how to approach as she was...the one who had been staring first she finally put on her frown that she had gotten use to using and walked up to him.

"y...you sing well." she stated mumblnig the words like she hated to admit it. But she could stop staring at his legless form, the scales were brilliant. she had only met one other snake person. But tyven had legs....

This boy was older as well. She would of guessed he was about her brothers age. She had met only a few older men, Jekel was one, Nero the second. this would be the third older boy.

Ok the awkward silence were there. She complimented him right? what else did she have to say?

"You here christmas shopping with your family?" she implored as if she was wondering if his whle family looked like him.

The first words to come to mind were: Don't tell anyone! but he was able to hold them back, "Ahh... Thank you." He said, taking the compliment as it was a good one even it were embaressing to be caught singing like that, especially with a song that involved deer flying around dragging sleds across roof tops.

He watched her as she seemed to be inspected him and he coiled up some so that he could lean against them in a lazy manner, "Shopping? They are. I slipped away." He had no real interest in shopping, he got a gift for the one person that he wanted to get one for so... so now he just had to catch up with Lucia again to drop it off with her, "And you? You smart too and sneak off?"

Being ...only seven she was easy to be flattered and she nodded her head, while her one hand tugged at her fairly...short shirt. Her side legs twitched in agitation, could she really trust this guy?

She gave a very small half smile. "Of course. My older brother brought me. I can't stand shopping." She explained as her antenna twitched as well.

"Do you want to go somewhere that is...not quite so loud?" sh asked her ears ringing from all the sound already.

"Agreed." Shopping was a dull passed time, though he had thought that it was something that all girls like. This was a rather surprising development, a girl that didn't like to shop. He would admit to being amazed. He pushed up, uncoiling himself.

"Alright, not many places with quiet." He said, so far it had been the book store because for some reason people got all quiet around books, would talking hurt them? Books or outside where Baroness waited, she had no desire to step inside such a loud, crowded place. To the point that she would brave the cold she dislike to avoid it, "Books or the outside, unless you have an idea?."

Zyan was now being given an option. "Uh...outside. I hate the cold but anything is better than the noisey inside." She said with a firm nod of her head. Despite hating earing anything with long sleeves she wished she had a jacket right this moment.

BUt man did this kid look cool when he moved. Never had she seen anything move quite like him, and yet she had this ever nagging sensation int he back of her head like a warning. Stupid mantis instinct.

"Um...how is it that you move?" she asked stillt rying to figure it out.  

[Orpheus Solon]

He nodded, good. Baroness would be glad to see that he made it out of the mall in one piece, something that but of the two of them had started to think wouldn't be possible upon seeing how many people were rushing inside. He would be glad when the holidays were over, he could come here without worry again.

Ter started forward towards the direction that the wyvern was in, finding himself looking down at his coils as he moved due to the question, "Don't know. Just do?" He wasn't sure of the exact mechanics of it just that it worked, "Flexing muscles I think." At least that was what it felt like.

Flexing muscles?

"So...not to be rude but your...tail is like one long muscle?" She asked trying to keep in step while she watched his body slither. She felt rather like a duckling following some preditor that had happen to be nice to her. Stupid instinct go away!

"So...my name is..Zyanya. You can call me Z." she sais finally intorducing herself. She really should get better at that part. She also knew she shouldn't travel too far from her brother...how many times had he lectured her about talking and walking off with strangers?

Ter looked down at it again, swishing the end of it, "Like... a bunch of them." He said, nodding.

"Zyanya, Z. Name is..." He gave a grummbling sound, his name was so annoying and contained far to many letters if you asked him, "Terpsichore, Ter though. Easier." It didn't help that after he looked it up he found out that it was a girls name, the name of a female muse. Bleh, his father was an odd person to give him such a name. Must be the meaning but none the less... bleh!

He paused at the door that would lead outside, "Not afraid of dragons?" He asked of the girl, he didn't want to lead her into something she was scared of after all.

Zyanya liked the sound of his name, it was indeed long. She doubted she would remember the whole thing but she could manage Ter. She gave him a smile of disbelief and a half laugh. Many muscles? eh she wasn't too good with anatomy but she would believe him. It was his body after all.

"If you met my brother's dragon you would understand why I am not too afriad of them." She said thinking back to the obnoxious black dragon named Keir.

"Oh? Your brother has one?" He asked, it couldn't be anywhere as bad as his own brother's dragon. Vorel was an annoyance! Then again as he was in all ways the exact opposite to his precious Baroness there were reasons why he thought that. He then pushed the doors open so that they could slip outside.

It didn't take long of them being out there for Baroness to hurry over to them, hissing in delight upon seeing her partner and no 'rivals'. Vorel was elsewhere waiting for Ligeia it would seem, good.

"This is Baroness." He told to Zyanya, "Baroness, meet Z."

Baroness looked over the girl for a moment before giving a sort of pointy toothed grin, stepping closer to Ter, sitting back tail lashing. Ter belonged to her just like all the pretty jewelry she wore on her spines did. Kids though that ended up with a reason for her to like them she dealt with. People like Lucia who seemed to be around often or Kale who was getting a Wyvern of his own to be her minion. Z seemed interesting enough if in only color, rather like gems.

"Yah not sure if you met him or not, his name is Chath he has a black dragon." she trailed off seeinging the Baroness approach. She lokoed nothing like Keir. Excellent. She was also decked out in jelwery, something similar that Keir did, though eh didn't wear it he just horded it.

"Nice to meet you Baroness, your jewels are very...magnificant, they look very nice on you." she replied politely, remembering her lessons with mom. She could be charming if need be.

"What kind of dragon is she? I have never met one like her before." she explained trying not to stare at the wevryn.

"Chath? No. Don't know a Chath." Mostly it would seem he'd had the pleasure of meeting with girls. That is what all men dreamed of after all.

With those words it would seem that the wyvern had been won over, her tail starting to lash as she was told how great she looked. The little one had even used 'magnificent' which pleased Baroness greatly. Yes, the little emerald looking child was one that she could get along with.

"Wyvern." He said, reaching his hand out to scratch his dragon under her chin and she made a happy sound in the back of her throat, "Shes bit spoiled at times but good girl."
