Raven set a folder on her lectern, brushing off an imaginary speck of dirt, and waited. The next group of children would be starting their lessons soon. Hopefully at least one or two of them would show some promise; the previous classes had been completely lackluster.
Off to the side of the room, Kyrie chirruped boredly. The classes weren't any more interesting for her than they were for her master, and she was almost tempted to engage one in hopes of having some fun.
"Patience, Kyrie," Raven said flatly. "They should be coming soon."
[As usual, this class is open to 4-5 students, first come, first served. PLEASE do not post unless you're sure you can keep up with the class. Thank you!]

Magic. He wasn't exactly sure what he thought of it at the moment but there was something that he did know: Ligeia liked magic. In fact he had all sorts of magic tomes that sat in piles around the place they lived. Ligeia liking magic meant that TER needed to learn magic to keep up with his being better then his brother in that aspect too, "We will show Ligeia who is the best." He murmured to his partner.
Baroness gave a growling sound of agreement though for her it was Vorel that she had to best. Annoying as he was so much bigger then her at the moment. A larger opponent meant it being harder for her to take him down. She would have to pay attention in these classes as well!
Ter slithered into the classroom looking around, "First ones here." He told Baroness going to get a good seat for them. She looked the seats over, seeming for a moment to be considering sitting on one herself. She was small enough she may fit... then she shook her head and moved to instead sit back on her haunches near Ter's seat. She rested her 'hands' that were on her wings on the desk, waiting for both more dragons to show up and to see the other students that would be with them.

It seemed that all of the students were running late that day. All but one, at least. Raven made a mental note to stress the importance of timeliness to the others and took her clipboard in hand, marching to the door. A snake for a student. Hopefully that wasn't an omen. "Name, please," she said curtly. "First and last, and that of your dragon."

So here he was again. It was almost a burden to not sigh. Magic just didn't seem to stick to him. Or...in him or whatever. But he was going to try. He even had his mom sign him up for private lessons with Thomas. What could be worse than that?
Ah well he hoped that this class would be better. It should be, the teacher was different anyway, Keir was stalking close behind, the dragon seemed a bit on edge lately. Probably due to the feistive holiday lights and large crowds.

"Terpsichore Solon." He said, pointing to himself, "And her name is Baroness." He pointed over at the wyvern who seemed to almost be waiting as patiently as her partner was for class to begin, almost as her tail had started to swish back and forth in a lazy manner as she looked around. At her name though she looked to the teacher and hissed a greeting.
This was a class for her partner so as much as she paid attention she wondered how much it would ultimately matter. When would SHE get to train! So she could take on Vorel! Much going on in her mind though one could hardly tell the way her head was resting on the 'hands' of her wings.
Ter lifted a scaled hand to adjust one of her 'pretties' that was a little crooked on one of her spines. She looked up at him wide eyed thinking he was after her treasure, then relaxed when it was only him straightening it. He was making sure that she was prettier then the others.
Both their attention were captured by the new student and dragon arriving. Nobody they knew thusly they were a bit curious.

"Very well," Raven murmured to her first student, checking the name off. So, it was time to see what the other child of that glorified gym teacher could do. "Take a seat, please. You, what's your name?"
There weren't nearly enough students yet for her liking. Of course, smaller classes were easier, but she knew that there were others due to arrive, and teaching less would be a waste of her talents.
[Once we get at least one new student I'll move on with the class. SO sorry for the delay. x_x]

Chath looked around, the snake kid he vaugely remembered being told about from his younger sister. He seemed nice enough his own dragon Keir the black gazed as the shines Baroness was covered in and new enough that it wasn't wise to approach until they had at least greated each other. Some misunderstands between dragon's could never really be resolved.
Chath on the other hand having never met a wvryn before thought Baroness was really neat looking, though the jewels were a bit over the tope, he guessed it was probably the same sort of mentallity as Keir with his stash of shinies under his bed.
When addressed Chath promptly returned his attention to the teacher. "Chath Emehud," he replied and pointing to his dragon doing the same as Ter he introduced his black. "ANd that is Keir."

"We're late, we're late!" No, that wasn't the white rabbit racing down the hallways of D-corp with a young green dragon skittering along behind. It was a blue frog boy and he was indeed late. Late for class. And his dad had warned him not to be, considering who his teacher was. As a fellow teacher, Peri got some idea of the others, even if he hadn't meet them all. But this one he had. And he had been terrified of her.
So now, Nibal was scared of what was going to happen as he pulled open the door to the classroom and quickly ushered his dragon in behind him. Seeing that the teacher's attention was on another student, he hoped that she wouldn't not just how late he was.

Fleur yipped to himself as he limped as quickly as he could down the hallways, trying to remember the room number he was trying to find. He was having a hard time remembering lately, but according to the doctors, he was recovering from his ordeal well.
Aube en Argent was trotting close to him, almost too close though she was always there when he stumbled or needed to rest a moment. Stevie was of sound mind (for once) that he should not yet be out of bed and wandering around yet since he had not yet fully recovered, but Fleur had to get out of the house - he was going stir crazy cooped up like a caged animal, and he wanted to have fun with his newly hatched dragon! Argent was antsy as well though she was very concerned Fleur was pushing himself too much, sticking close to him to lend him a helping claw when needed.
Fleur limped into the room, one hand on Argent's head for support as he coughed and apologized, his voice still a little strained, "I'm sorry I'm so late...!" With one wrist and one ankle each in a cast and his left eye bandaged heavily, Stevie thought he had a good excuse for running late, but that did not mean Fleur liked disappointing his teachers.

Well, it was about time the rest of the class showed up! Tapping her foot impatiently, Raven ticked Chath's name off of her list, and turned to the latecomers. "For future reference," she said testily, "lateness is not permitted, and results in points off of your grade. Now, names please. Once you have given them to me, you may sit down."
Of course, she knew at least one of the students- the child of that insipid, sexist teacher- but kept her mouth shut about that. If the child proved to be a hard worker, she would say no more about him. The parent, of course, was another story.

Nibal turned as Fleur came in behind him. At least he wasn't the only one late. The boy gulped as Raven turned her attention upon them. "N-Nibal." He stated, trying not to stutter, but the irritated look on the teacher's face wasn't helping. "Nibal Coleman."
The green hatchling nudged his leg and Nibal reached down to pat her head. "And this is Kalseru..." He added, not sure if she wanted to know the green's name or not. He then slipped off to find a seat somewhere. There were only two other kids in here and both looked a bit older than him and the skunk boy. The frog boy just took an empty seat in the middle of the room and gave a sigh.

Fleur's ears drooped back as he apologized, quickly offering up the information requested, "I-I'm Fleur Schlotkin-" The last name came out garbled from his swollen cheek, but he tried his best. "-a-and this is Aube en Argent th-though I just call her Argent..." Argent gave him an annoyed look, knowing full well he called her various other embarrassing nicknames included though not limited to 'Dawnie', 'Aubrie', and 'Snugglebutt', but she let it slide for now. By all rights and purposes, he should not even be here and should be resting, but he insisted, so she was going to support him.
Their names given, Fleur limped past the teacher to find a seat, hoping it was comfortable. He was already tired from hurrying here and hoped it would not affect his performance in class.

Ter looked over at Fleur and Nibal, flicking out his tongue at them. Ahh... so it was these two that had been the cause of the class being held up? He looked over to Baroness to pat her on the head, good so now that they were here they could start the learning process right? He sure hoped so he wanted to see what was so special about this 'magic' stuff that made his brother like it so much. The teacher would explain the secret to him!

Fine. At least they showed up. Marking the names off with her pen, Raven set the clipboard down, and surveyed the class. At least one of the students quite obviously knew somebody who had taken the class before. Just in case her other students had been blabbermouths, she would have to change her strategy, just a bit. Instead of launching in, she leaned against the edge of the table and stared the class down.
"Tell me, students. Have any of you had any experience with magic before?"

Nibal shook his head at Raven's question. No, he'd not had any experience with magic at all. His dad said that the magic teachers were strange and rather scary and the boy had to agree, having met this one before outside of the classroom setting. He hadn't exactly been thrilled to be taking one of her classes. Well, at least there were other kids in here, so maybe there would be safety in numbers?
