One extremely large room, actually, two, with a wall thrown down, has been turned into a fitting area for what this young woman wants to teach. Combat. The room contains a large sandpit, a forest terrain, what appears to be a rather good recreation of an alleyway, along with an area covered with mats. Various cupboards and cabinets holding food, overflowing with random objects and weapons, line the wall closest to the door, just behind a large desk, with a cushion on top of it. Also adorning the desk are stacks of books, papers, pencils, cups, packaged food, sketches, and a few trinkets from her travels. Along the walls are countless hand-drawn maps, along with diagrams of combat stances and framed pictures of strange places [Perhaps places that Turner has been to?]

The young woman herself was actually sitting cross-legged on her desk, on her dark blue cushion, flipping quickly through the files of her four new students. Weapons. Hybrids. Fun. And that wasn't sarcasm. Turner was sort of looking forward to meeting them. She was going to analyze their DNA, abilities, and personalities before assigning them a melee or ranged weapon, and then ask them to do some practice at home after a bit of target practice, simple.

Now she just had to wait for them to show up. Mumbling to her left arm, Turner resisted the urge to light the cigarette behind her ear and take a drag or two.

Weapons, weapons, weapons... he was gonna get to use a sword! The words were rather sing song in his head as he slithered his way down the hallway towards the classroom a look of pure glee on his face. He couldn't say that he wasn't in all way pleased over the fact that he was gonna be swinging around a dangerous and shiny object because he was!

Swords were in all ways better then staffs! How could they not be when they were as cool as they were with a sharp edge! The one he was bringing along with him to class even cooler then normal due to its ornate look! They were useful to in the fact that they could be used to break things! He only knew this due to curiousity he had tried it out on the nightstand in his room. It had chopped a corner clean off! Now the drawer was a bit useless since it had a hole in it but as it still stood so he couldn't complain to much. The sheathed weapon was rest over his shoulder, looking quite intimidating in its snakeness if you asked him!

He looked over his shoulder at his jingling Wyvern and gave her a smile, "First weapons class." He told he, nodding his head as they stopped in front of the door. He reached over to adjust some of Baroness' many pretties, a couple had gone crooked and he wanted to make as good as an impression as he could on the teacher. That way he could then see about getting more classes with her very soon. Then he could have the needed skills to duel his brother! It would be great!

He opened the door to the classroom to look inside, then around before slithering in. He spotted his teacher then flicked out his tongue before giving a wave, "Hello." He greeted her, "Brought my sword!" He said, taking it down off his shoulder to show it off to her, proud of the weapon he had drug along with him to class.

Weapons. Gabby didn’t like the sound of that word, it somehow even made her shudder a little. Weapons were meant to fight and with fighting there was always the chance of someone getting hurt. Weapons were often sharp, pointy and curious objects. She preferred magic, magic was something that could be used for the good too and somehow the lovebird couldn’t see that happening with weapons. But she had to take both, Melee and Magic classes, and since that was a given, she just had to accept it.

A good thing about the class was that her beloved sister would be there! Sah-la and she had signed up together and Gabby was extremely eager to see her cheetah sister again. Knowing how much her sister loved playing with her whip, Gabby was positively sure that Sahra would enjoy this class a lot. And so she would try to enjoy it as well! There’d be a new teacher and that hopefully promised that it’d be an exciting few hours!

Yep! This was going to be fun, she just had to believe it herself. The door of the classroom was already half open and Gabby happily poked her head inside before she slipped in quickly, unfolding her wings again as soon as she was in the room. She glanced around gleefully as she took up all her surroundings and the people already in the room. “Haalloo!” she exclaimed with her eyes fixed on the woman as she clapped her hands together behind her back.

Turning to the other student in the room she giggled excitedly, “Hola! I think I’ve seen you before? Ohh! Right! When we went camping, remember? Wasn’t that fun!” Still grinning she eyed the boy’s sword, suppressed a shiver and then smiled as wide as she could, “Ohh, were we supposed to bring something? ‘Cause I didn’t, I don’t have any weapons or anything at home, I want to get a staff though, but that’s not really the same as a weapon. But yours looks, uhh, cool!”

Silenias wasn’t happy at all to enter the classroom and he looked kind of grumpy as he stumbled in right after Gabby. That last Melee woman, Lilly, had been insane, mental and Sil hadn’t gotten his hopes up: this one would probably not be much better. Melee was melee after all.

Another day another class, would this one be much different than any other? She was signed up to take a weapons course, a class she didn't really think she needed, but, was unfortunately required to take. "I want to just get this done and over with, Re." She mumbled to her partner, who was closely sliding away at her side. The feline wasn't sure what was more annoying; having to be 'taught' things she's already learned, or the new string on the bow that she had placed conveniently over one shoulder and crossed across her chest.

"If you say so, Srra." He replied, tail thrashing against the floor as they moved closer and closer towards their foreign destination. Ephrem wasn't to sure about this course, he much preferred observing and learning from the comfort of their own home, not to mention their own parent. If this new woman was anything like the last, then they sure as heck didn't want to stay long.

But he would be content enough, personally, since Silenias would be there.

"This must be the place." Slipping in, the click of her claws against the tile withering away as she came to a halt, Sahra scoped the room. Not bad, the cheetah thought to herself, This place actually looks half way decent. Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

It didn't take her long to spot her oddly coloured little sister, and Sil, but who was this strange looking serpent? He reminded her a great deal of Re; his basic body structure, and the way he moved, anyways; two arms, no legs, and a very snake-like body; more than likely a sort of snake, obviously. The other weird looking thing must be their teacher, since it looked nothing like a creature from D-Corp. And if it was, what could it possibly be? A hairless cat? Nope no ears; maybe a hairless mole then? Did it have a tail?

Prancing up to take up her normal place at her sisters side, Sahra fiddled with an arrow, assuming that they must wait for class to begin, she decided to remain quiet.

Ephrem was tempted to run to Silenias, but keeping his whit’s about him, decided against it, and coiled part way around Sahra instead.

Chath had entered the room with little else in mind with the exception that he was going to prove himself today. Which what? He hadn't decided. Having mainly learned defense, dodging and attack with his fists it was quite a different thing to learn how to weild and use a weapon. Then there was the issue of deciding which weapon he wanted to use. Having setteled on a basic long sword it hung awkwardly in its scabbard at his waist. He felt a bit embarressed to have it clunking along his leg, and unnatural to boot.

He entered the room his gaze landing on his fellow classmates. He had arrived late...again. He was getting tired of this thing that Jayoku seemed to be good at...lateness. She she even despised tardiness. He didn't get it. He hoped this teacher wouldn't be as angry as Thomas had been. But he placed a smile only reconizing Gabby, whom he hadn't seen since he was really little.

The teacher looked strict, but heck most of the teacher were. Hopefully she wouldn't be nearly as cruel as some of the others.

Most wouldn't call Turner particularly strict, badass maybe. The young woman finally slid off her desk, realizing all four of her "Students" had arrived, and gave them all a bright, charming grin, before lighting her cigarette. They'd brought weapons... How quaint.

"I'm Turner Herrick, ya'll. Don't bother with the last name. Anywho, y'won't be needin' your own weapons until part two of this course set. Today, y'gonna get this practice gear in th' classroom, and I'm goin' t'assess which weapons coincide nicely with your DNA and skill set, aight?"

She gestureed vaugly to an empty set of cubby/racks against the wall for their things, and proceeded to light her cigarette, blue eyes narrowing toward Terpsichore.

"Smart of you. Y'd work best with a sweord, considerin' your speed as a serpent. Kinda like an extra fang, y'see? Nice dragon."

A quick once-over of her students, and she shrugged.

"Bird's got ranged weapons, lizard boy, I can't be sure about you, and you, spotted lass, are probably a mix of melee and ranged, so I'll let y'choose."

[Post Order: It can be random, but this class will span only two weeks from today, at maximum. You may only post once between Turner's comments, but say if it went Turner, Gabby, Chath, Turner, both Gabby and Chath could post again if they chose to do so. You must make at least 7 posts in this class to pass it.]

With a single high-pitched sound the lovebird girl attacked her sister, half tackling half hugging her in the process. “Oh, oops arrow!” Gabby’s eyes widened and she let out a small giggle while she quickly let go, struggling to avoid the sharp point of the arrow. “So happy to see you Sah-la!” she continued in a whisper, “I was already getting scared that you wouldn’t make it in time!” She grinned widely as the bracelet she got from her beloved sister dangled cheerfully around her wrist.

Oh woops, not again, she had to pay attention to class. Especially in this class, But she was distracted yet again by another student. Chath! “Woo, Chath! Heyo!” she exclaimed, then clasped her hands for her mouth. No screaming in class. She quickly twirled around to face the teacher, hoping that she wouldn’t be too strict. Gabby listened carefully, her eyes closely fixed on Turner.

Ranged weapons. That wasn’t so bad! She liked the idea of having a bit of distance between herself and the person she had to fight. Fight, bah! She’d much rather play together.. or do something fun like going out exploring!

Bows were ranged weapons right? Should she just go ahead and grab one? Or should she wait till Turner had picked a weapon for her?

Gabby put up her brightest face and smiled at Turner, “Okays miss Turner.. umm, would a bow be okay? They seem rather fun and I think they are also the least dangerous, well the arrows are sharp but..” She trailed off and glanced at the arrow still in Sahra’s hand before she shuffled forward to the racks, a little hesitant to the thought of having to grab one of the weapons in a bit. Now which weapon was the prettiest? Would they have a pink one?

Silenias noticed his best friend and that distracted him from the lesion momentarily and he wandered over to his dragon friend, still keeping one of his eyes on Gabby.

Lizard boy? Chath sighed, most people often mistook him for a lizard, he was an amphibium. But not wanting to get off on a bad start with his teacher by correcting her he only smiled weakly as he was addressed.

Gabby was being Gabby, he was hapy to see that she reconized him and offered a little wave to her, having never met Ter before he could only smile at the kid.

After Gabby had asked if she could use a bow he looked down to the longsword at his side. Maybe she could suggest a better weapon for him?

"Um..Miss Turner up until know I was a fist fighter and defender perhaps you could make a suggestion at a type of weapon that would suit me better?"

Snagging a stack of files off the desk, she flicked through them briefly, then set them back down, and held up a finger to Chath, asking him silently to wait a moment as she trailed Gabby, pausing behind her to squint at the ranged weaponry. What to choose? Ah, there. Turner reached past the lovebird to grab a short, easy wooden bow, with a small quiver of blunt-tipped arrows.

"Just in case y'shoot your buddies. S'not that pretty, I know... Gabby...? But when y'get more advanced, I'll get you a custom one, yeah?"

Grinning as she handed the items to the girl, she turned to eye Chath, thoughtful.

"Nice hair."

She was Jem's friend. Tapping her chin, she paced around her desk, pausing to run her gaze over him once more.

"Well, then, newt boy. I'd say... Maybe a short blade, that way, it'd simply be punching with the claws you'd lack. Plus, your regeneration abilities come in handy for melee."

Ter gave a wave to the girl who said that she knew him from the camping trip, he tried to remember her but that trip was a while a go and he had been so young at the time. Despite that though he didn't mind her talking to him after all she was a girl! Girls were the best, thusly when Sahra who he didn't know either arrived he was happy thinking the class would be just him and some girls, good class. Then Chath arrived, he gave a little huff, darn. Another guy. He didn't supposed that he should mind to much though since he was here for weapons, he could make friends with the girls later.

He gave a bright smile at the teacher's words, puffing up a bit as it would see that he had picked well when he picked his sword. Great! He'd decided on it because it was decorated with serpents but to hear that it would be like an extra fang... he gave a grin as he looked at the blade, "It seems I picked well." He murmured to Baroness.

She nodded, tail swishing. At the moment she couldn't care less that Ter was as happy as he was over the compliment he got since she was happier over the one she got. Yes, yes she was a nice dragon wasn't she?

She beamed when Turned mentioned the custom bow and she nodded eagerly. A custom one, whoa, well picking the colour wouldn’t be hard! But now first she had to focus on practicing and the bow Turner had given her would do that job. “Thanks miss Turner, I’ll practice hard! I don’t really know how to hold it though, oh, uh, I mean I know how people hold their bows, I’ve seen it, but I haven’t done it before, like this.. or uh..? Yeah!” She carefully took the small bow from the teacher and fiddled with it for a bit until she settled on one way to hold it. With the arrows stuck in her other hand, she was now completely ready to start the training. She felt a little weird holding this ‘weapon’, but at least the blunt ends were comforting. Comforting for herself, but in some way also for her co-students.

Gabby of course returned Chath’s wave excitedly and as soon as she saw the chance to do so without disturbing the lesion she quickly hoped over to him. “Hopefully I won’t hurt you again today with my arrows!” she said giggly as she let her eyes dart over the blunt arrows in her hand, “Haha just like that long time ago on the slide, remember?! I think these should be sorta save, with the blunt ends, but I’ll still be careful!”

Silenias’ ears caught a part of Gabby’s words and he stared at the two figures for a second before he turned his attention back to Re. The slide story wasn’t new to him anymore. “Arree uhwee?” Are we going to help them practice fighting?

Gabby gazed to the serpent boy’s sword, so both he and Chath were going to use blades? Then maybe she and Sah would both use bows! Fun! The boy’s sword was highly decorated and Gabby gave him a smile, “Did you add those ornament thingies yourself? It looks really nice, a wee bit scary though!”

“Sah?” She turned her head, “Will you take a bow too?”

Short blade? Sorta like a long dagger or something? Chath just nodded his head. Okies the teacher sounded like she knew what she was talking about so he wouldn't argue with her. he looked around and noticed Gabby pick up her own Bow and arrow set. He wondered which weapon was the short blade.

But he was distracted as Gabby skipped up to him and spoke. Chath tried not to laugh at Gabby's remark but failed. Yes he remembered hurting himself on the slide, but only recalled the memory when Gabby's prompt. Wow that was so logn ago, he wished he could talk with Gabby more and see what she had been up to lately.

"Oh I doubt you will be aiming for me." he replied with a smile, "But I heal fast so no worries if I do get hurt. " He continued with a nod of his head.

Keir laid nearby he was watching no doubtly bored to tears, if dragons had tears anyway. He watched idly the highly decorated Baroness, he couldn't hellp but stare, she was covered in the thigns he covented jewels and gems and gold. She must have a spetacluar horde.

Facing her students once more, with two wooden, weighted blades in her hands, she extended the longer one [shorter than his own blade by several inches] to Terpsichore, and the slightly shorter one to Chath, grinning.

"Practice with these first, boys."

Eyeing Gabby, she carefully patted the girl's hand, lowering the bow in her arms with a raised eyebrow.

"I'll get to a proper stance for you momentarily, first y'all need weapons, no?"

Nodding to Sahra, she also procurred another bow, and handed it to the girl, looking thoughtful.

"Perhaps this is best. That way, Gabby can have someone to help her, and the boys can pair up evenly. Now, then."

Frowning and squinting, she pointed toward a large wrestling mat with one hand, and toward two large targets with the other.

"Gals, head o'er toward the target, y'two boys are at th'mat."

Chath: 4
Sahra: 6

Accepting the weapon Chath looked it over and then over to Ter, looked like the boys were being paired up together and the girls together as well. Guess he wouldn't get a chance to talk to Gabby after all. Maybe later he could catch up with her.

He walked over to the matt the teacher indicated and wondered ever so breifly what they needed matts for. Soon though his brain caught up with him, right gotta be catareful, and thinking before acting was probably a good thing too.

He recalled his defense lesson and how hard he had pushed himself to learn and anticipate attacks. Those were magic attacks he wondered just how different it would be to anticipate a melee attack. Well....at least he would be able to see these attacks. The wind magic were hard to anicipate cause they were invisible.

He was lucky though, becuase he could regenerate fast it let him able to push past normal limitations. That particular even with the defense teacher had been an eye opener. He wasn't afriad of pain anymore, pain was something that came and would leave. But he was also not foolish to want pain. He turned as he reached the matt and gave both Ter and the teacher a hearty smile. Today was going to be a good lesson.

“Oh, yes that feels mucho better. Thanks miss Turner!” She eyed her bow and held it carefully but tightly; it felt much better and lighter now she was holding it in the right position! Now she just had to figure out how to shoot and hold on to the bow at the same time. But that was for later worries, Gabby glanced towards the targets the teacher had just pointed out and she nodded excitedly. “Aaah!! At least they’re large, less chance of missing! So no worries, Chath!” She giggled for a second and poked her sister gently in the side with her elbow. “Come on!”

Gabby was a little disappointed in the fact that they had to split up but she shrugged that thought off and just smiled happily (waving wasn’t possible with the bow in her arms) at the two boys before returning to her own task. Practicing with her sister would be big fun and they could just catch up with the boys after practicing!

Gabby grinned at her sister again before she headed towards one of the targets. There she stood, turned around and awaited further instructions. A bow, a couple of arrows and a target. This couldn't be too hard now, could it?
