The lobby of D-corp has been cleared out, leaving what was once a familiar waiting room with a TV and couch, into an open area with tables lined up along the side. On these three tables tota there were various things, the first held punch, sodas, water, and juice. The second table held party trays of meats, cheeses, wheat, fish, just about everything that could be turned into a finger food had. Even a nice bowl of chocolated bugs for those who might have been insectivorous. And the last table held the most important thing, bowls and bowls of candy.
A few techs were standing around the bowls, along with a few techs standing out side to keep guard... No one wanted to see what happend when some drunk teenagers got ahold of some torlet paper and a 33 story building.
At the recetion desk, Kat and Alan were situated behind the wood with a small sign hanging forward declaring this was where you got your gift.
Alan looked as though he might not be dressed up, looking the same as usual, minus a tattered labcoat. If asked, he would claim he was a zombie... Talia was stuck to his side, donning a fluffy frilly princess dress, and playing with a toy or two. She'd only pause to fetch some more sugery goods, or wave to the guests.
Kat, as apposed to Alan, was grinning ear to ear, practically leaning over the desk as she waited for their guests to arrive. Behind the desk she had laid out each goodie bag in alphabitical order. "Think they'll be here soon?" She questioned the silence, looking back to Alan.
Alan shrugged, leaning against the wall while various projects he needed to finish fluttered around in his head. He had work... Grah. "Probably not. It's only four thirty pm." He gave her a small crack of a smile anyways.
((OOC: So, you can have your character come in before the main party, generally. Or they can just come here for alittle while. It's all really up to you, but remember there won't be any big RPing in here. Just if you happen to be around at 10:00 IC time you'll get to see what goes on. XD There will be plot posts here so if you want to wait for one of those before you come in then feel free to do so. Otherwise, you can just do a get in and get out post. ^_^))

Some sort of giftbag from D-Corp. This couldn't be good. The feline stalked along in near silence, a scarf tied around his neck. Beside him was the king of cold obliviousness, his personal son, Keanu. Who was rather pleased with the whole situation. He assumed that candy meant Swedish Fish, and for a carnivore he sure loved those red gummy things.
Ymir was still sometimes pausing and rubbing his headfin with a front paw from time to time. They'd painted him blue. Painting HIM. Of all the ridiculous things. And it was after a horse no less. A slight huff escaped him as he finished his current rubbing at the blue stuff and trotted a step to catch up to the two. This halloween thing had better be worth being painted blue.
Upon entering the building Raja let out a mental sigh, it was a bit warmer in here. Thank god. He shifted as if to remove the scarf thinking he might stay a moment until he saw who was at the desk. HIM! That man. Both ears fell low a bit as a glare fixed itself on the man. This parent didn't like Alan at all. And he wasn't sticking around him, not when he might suggest some new absurdly dangerous thing for Keanu to do.
Keanu, however; gave both people a large toothy grin as he called out a greeting. "HI!" He was decked out in his costume. It didn't take long for him to discern what Kat was, but he couldn't really figure out what Alan was. Probably a similar thing as to what his dad had said. Who was infact, going as a cat this year. He'd even drawn a few whiskers on his face with black makeup to demonstrate this. So maybe Alan was going as a labtech? Still his interest in their costumes only lasted for so long, because his eyes fell on the many little bags just visable behind them. Which was really what they'd come for.
Raja knew that from the look on Keanu's face this would take too long if he was left to getting the bag. He still needed to stuff the twins into costumes before they went to the main party. A few quick strides brought him to the desk where a quick smile drew itself along his face in the direction of the woman. "Hello, I'm here to pick up Keanu's bag befoe we go to the party." As if that wasn't obvious, certainly it couldn't be hard to tell them apart. How many of the other children could be white, spotted, and fluffy? Not to mention toting a sword wherever they went.

Jayoku strode into the lobby and stopped for a moment to gaze at the decorations, she was dressed as Tinkerbell from Peter Pan her son....where had he gone to? Was Batman. And her newest little girl wasa mummy. She had a hard time trying to figure out the mantis's costume mainly cause she seemed to tear every peice of clothing that got near her.
Zyanya toddeled in behind her mother she was dressed as a mummy, the tattered slips of ribbon and cloth woked perfectly cause even if the barbs on her arms tore the cloth it would just make it seem like it was suppose to be that way. She peered about the room mama had mentioned something about a candy treat bag...or something. Having never tried sweets, she had asked her older brother about them, he gave the brefiest description. 'They are good.'
Chath moved abouts the room eager to see the rest of the costumes and wanting to know if and when they would be getting their treats. Excited as usual him and his dragon moved about the room. Keir wasn't as thrilled all these humans dressed up strangely and it put him on edge. Chath had tried to put a mask on his face but it didn't fit properly. The newt boy had bribed him with a coin if he kept it on all night. He had to give in.

Alaqua and Bob arrived, dressed in their pirate garb. The captain took one look around. "Arr, me matey. There be the booty!" She pointed her toy cutlass at the bowls of candy and the koala girl and her brass dragon were soon rushing over towards it.
Niki arrived only moments afterwards. Her purple cloak swirled about her as she paused to roll her eyes at her daughter. She headed towards the desk, smiling at Alan. "Goodie bag for Ala?"

The elevator dinged as its doors opened on the first floor. Perilas stepped out of it, holding Nibal, and raised one eyebrow at the decorations. Those had been done since he'd arrived that morning for work... Nibal wriggled happily as he spotted the candy. The man looked over, spotting a sign about goodie bags. Oh yeah, he'd gotten something about that. Peri took one step towards the reception desk, and then spotted who was behind it.
He glared at Alan for a moment, then headed over to the tables of food. He might as well get some of the sandwiches and such before they stuffed themselves with candy. Nibal wasn't dressed up, but if asked Peri could always claim he was going as a turd. The man grinned a bit at that... Maybe he should paint the boy white and claim he was sperm...

((Okay now that Gaia's not exploding i can get relying to these. XD I'll try to do two at a time, depending on how fast responces go. :3))
Kat beamed as the first child entered, decked up as well as his dragon, she started digging through the bags. Keanu, no doubt. She prided herself on knowing all of the children, since every one of them had either been through or were in her class it was fairly easy. Either way, she picked out the identicle bag that had keanus name scribbled at the bottum. She lifted it, holding it a moment more just out of his reach, nodding to Raja "Alright. Feel free to stay and have some snacks!" then looking to Keanu. "So what do you say?" For once she wasn't prying for a please and thankyou, but ofcourse the traditional 'trick or treat!'
Alan rolled his eyes at the over protective mother... father... Whatever. He would have done the same thing if he were in Alan's shoes... He quickly directed his attention to the newcomers, all but completley ignoring Raja as he'd been ignored. And luckally, he too knew pretty much every project. Ofcourse he knew them by their DNA moreso than their names... However, after a second he picked out the two bags, and set them up on the counter so that they could be picked up as well. Kat gave him a hushed scolding to make sure they said trick or treat before getting them.

Caden rushed up to the desk, surprising Wolfie by breaking out of his normally sluggish gait. What was he supposed to say again? Oh yeah, "Trick or Treat!" he chirped at Kat, perking his ears and staring up at her with his big blue eyes, hoping that if he was extra cute, she would give him extra candy.
His mother followed more sedately. She was really there just to keep an eye on him more than anything. The lionboy seemed much too dependant on her most of the time, and while most children needed the guidance and companionship of a parent at this age, Caden's constant exibitions of helplessness were really starting to reach unhealthy levels and she was doing her best to wean him off of it by interacting less and less when he was around other people.

Keanu stared at the familiar teacher a moment. Please wasn't what you said tonight. But it didn't seem very heroic or nice to threaten people with a trick. Still, that's what you said. His father had made sure to tell him and he'd even spent time trying to teachit to Ymir. "Trick-or-treat!" He exlciamed along with Ymir who chimed part of the trick and most of the treat, skipping the or completely. He also hopped to try and snag the thing in the process. He knew it was his, he could read his name on the bottom.
Raja glanced at the far wall waiting for the boy to get his bag before quickly ushering him out after a chorus of thank yous to the woman. Away away, far away from Alan. Now flee. "Come on Keanu, let's go get your brother and sister ready for the party so we can go. Maybe you'll see some of your friends there?" Another smile at Kat, and out the door. Free!

Revon was practically beaming as he skipped down the hall. A blue dress swirled around his knees as he moved along. A matching blue ribbon was tied up in his locks to mimic a certain disney character who fell down a hole into Wonderland. Ah yes, he was Alice tonight. From the cute little white apron to ribbons in his hair. The small black shoes clicked on the floor as the pair headed toward the reception area.
Haruki had refused to wear a costume, all the begging in the world wouldn't get him in one. Still, Revon had gotten a maskon him at least. Thus a simple black mask hid most of the eye that was usually visable, not enough to hide the fact he looked less amused then usual though. His clothing was the usual aside from that, his hair tied back the same as always. In short, it was Haruki with a black mask. Woo woo.
Both entered the elevator to head down to the main floor, a few pings later and it was out into the lobby. Which showed a few people hanging around. More than Revon liked anyway. The child's hand snagged the cuff of his keepers shirt as they exited the elevator and headed for the reception desk.
Great... Sugar sweet Kat, and his boss. Just who he wanted to deal with. Kat he disliked for obviously reasons. His boss... well anyone who stuck him with a fulltime kid wasn't going to be his favourite person in the world. Still, he didn't say anything and waited for the boy beside him to do what was his job patiently. He wasn't going to get his candy for him.
Bi-colored eyes peeked over the dress as the boy eyed the two there. One of them was scary, very scary. He frowned ducking back before catching sight of the Kat. That, worked wonders. The blue ribbon inched along the desk in that direction before once more white hair and the boy's face peeked over the desk. "T-t-trick oh-or tre-reat..?" He mumbled quietly toward the teacher, who was far more familiar to the young boy than Alan.

Orpheus wasn't really one to dress up anymore, he'd retired his dressing up when he quit his job as a theif. For this reason was why when Ter refused to really play along passed putting on a mask he couldn't really say anything. The boy had no real need of clothing since he was covered head to tail with scales.
He also couldn't much saying anything about Ligeia's choice of costume either as the boy had worked so hard on putting it together. He was dressed up in a far to pretty, ribbon covered garb. A princess he would guess it as though Ligeia had said the name of what he was really going as, 'Diao Chan' or something like that. A woman from a video game that he'd seen while out shopping and he'd gotten stuff so that he could get a costume together to look like her.
"Well go and trick or treat." He said, herding them over to where Kat and Alan were, "Hello you two." He greeting his fellow teacher and his boss.
"Trick or treat!" Ligeia said enthusiastically.
Ter flicked out his tongue and then said, "Treat 'r treat." Getting better with his words slowly but it didn't mean that he liked talking. He never needed to before so really if he looked at people, made motions it would get him by for the most part.
*****
Coming in after them was another small group of people, two ex-mages neither of which dressed up. For Lamiah it was the lack of time to prepare, she would loved to have gotten all dressed up for this! As for LaVey he was just no fun in the least so even dragging him here had taken a good deal of time and a lot of pleading on the part of Lamiah. That it was a parents job to do such things with their children even if they didn't want to and on and on until he finally gave into her pleading.
After that had come the job of trying to find something for Valens to wear, it had ended up with him wearing a crown made out of paint and cardboard and a very oversized Budweiser shirt out of LaVey's dresser. Valens was going as one of the Budweiser Clydesdales. While Lamiah felt like it was cheating to just give him a brand name to his DNA LaVey insisted that since they had no time to prepare he thought that it was rather clever.
Valens was running circles around his mother, excitedly. Especially upon seeing so many others around that were like him, "How about we go and get you some yummy treats?" She asked of her little horse son.
He nodded rapidly and then rushed forward, abandoning his parents to get to the table and declared, "TREATS!" a bit loudly, hands thrown up in the air. Luckily his crown was tied on or he no doubt would have lost it in his rush forward.

Having crammed a lot of candy into her upturned hat, Ala finally looked around and spotted a group of people at the reception desk. She wandered over, joining her mother, who told her quietly what was going on at the desk. Oh, so they were handing out bags? That sounded like fun! "Trick or treat, me matey!" She told Kat, lifting up her cutlass and waving it about a bit. Well, as much as she could without dropping her hat loaded down with candy from the table.
Bob blinked at these odd creatures. They were very odd indeed. They put on things to make them look even odder and demanded candy from other people. He just didn't get it... but he did like candy. Ala had given him some. It was good. Which was the only reason he'd allowed the girl to dress him up, after she'd explained that they'd get more candy that way.

Kat grinned and passed the bag forward as Keanu said the magic words. You just had to say it, ofcourse. She gave a wave as the group left "Have fun!" she hollared after cheerily.
Alan had been kind of grumping, until Peri poped up with the child attached to his hip. Alan resisted bursting into laughter at that. Oh it was so genious... However, he was used to trying to hold a serious tone, and left it to a slight grin as Niki walked up, nodding and picking out the bag for alaqua.
"Make them say trick or treat." Kat ordered again, causing Alan to sigh, and pass the bag over to her, grinning as Alaqua poped up and said trick or treat. "Here you go." She passed the bag forward.
Eyes drifting to Cadentau, and nodding. "You both look very nice!" She complimented the boy and the pirate, digging out caden's bag and handing it down to him.
Alan, meanwhile, simply watched, since Kat was taking over the task of passing out bags, and having alot more fun with it. Alan was content to smile lightly at the children as they seemed to get excited over the prizes. He loved kids, really. He glanced up as the elevator dinged again, giving a polite nod to Haruki, even if he had stuffed the teacher with a child he was one of his more favored workers. He quietly dug out Revon's bag and passed it up to Kat. That was working alot better than handing them out himself...
Kat grinned even wider as more children swarmed the counter, this was getting to be alot of work! But fun, none the less. "Hello Revon." She greeted cheerily to the shy boy, having a tendency to talking to them more to try and draw them out of a shell, somethign she came to do uncontiously. "And who might you be dressed as?" It was better to ask than get it wrong after all, though it wasn't too hard to catch that one, it still got him talking as she passed down another bag.
Alan gave a smile and nod to orpheus. "Hello, Happy Halloween." Kat echoed the 'Happy Halloween' part as she pulled up the next two bags. "You're costume looks really nice." She nodded to Ligiea, he really was all decked out, "And you're getting realyl well with your words." She nodded to Ter, unable to really compliment his costume since it was lacking.. But still, speaking was good..
Edit: Oh and another new child, who declayred 'treats' instead of trick or treats. Well that worked too! And oh my goodness was he a beer? No a beer horse.. Ohh she got it. Kat wasn't exactly big into beer, but Alan seemed to have gotten it- Behind her the man had given a soft chuckle and casually covered his mouth. "And one for you too!" She passed forward.. Valnes, right? Hopefully!

Ala grinned, grabbing her bag happily. "Thanks!" She told Kat, meaning both the bag and the compliment on her outfit. "C'mon Mom, let's go to the party!" There was sure to be more candy there! Niki chuckled and, waving to the teacher and boss, headed on out with her daughter and dragon.

The boy blinked at the question, glancing down at the dress he was wearing before back up. "A-alice." He quickly stated in a low voice before ducking to one side away from some of the other kids who wanted their bags as well. He took the bag as it was handed to him and started to peek inside before looking back up. Rude, it would be rude not to look at people when you talked to them. Rude was bad, he couldn't be bad. He gave the familiar woman a brief smile before shuffling out of the way of the counter, more to avoid the other children than to make space.
Haruki simply returned the nod to his boss, more to ensure he didn't end up fired than anything, and waited as Revon got his bag. Then the boy moved away and over to where there was enough sugar to kill someone. Why did there need to be a holiday solely for the reason of giving children enough candy to rot their teeth, puke, and in general ruin their health? If he felt the need to eat something sweet he'd at least make cookies. They tasted better and had a bit less sugar. Not much healthier though.
The boy eyed one of the candy bowls a moment before carefully picking up a wrapper he'd never seen before. It was mostly clear with a big read gumball thing inside. There was also yellow on the package. Well, he didn't bother reading it, and quickly opened the wrapper. Haruki hadn't told him no one he picked it up afterall. Though after he tossed it in his mouth he wished he had. The thing was a rather spicy cinamon concoction that quickly had the boy hopping up and down a bit in surprise. His little orange bag bouncing up and down with him. Hopefully this would teach Revon to read labels.
The real problem here was that Revon had been told more than once never to spit out food. Candy was a type of food wasn't it?

Tara and Aysel just barely missed Niki and Ala as they sailed in the door a few moments later. The makeup on Aysel's cacoon had taken forever to do, a chore that Tara was surprised Aysel had sat still for. Holding on to her mommy's hand Aysel watched the rest of the kids quietly. Quickly though, the lure of sugar dropped the lingering shyness from her.
"Aysel, we need to get your bag first," her mother interuppted as she was already half-way to the bowls of sugar.
"But Mommy!" Aysel protested. A pointed finger sent the mummy towards the desk. With a sigh she looked longingly back at the candy. It looked sooo yummy too.
Looking up, Aysel broke into a bright smile as she saw one of her favorite teachers. "Trick-or-Treat Miss Kat!"
