Likes: bad jokes, making funny faces, being a little...overtly adventurous, shiny things, sugar cane
Dislikes: Being made fun of, getting embarrassed, feeling belittled, the ocean.
Personality:
Alinea is a couragous, mildly strong and swift female, who sometimes can be a bit...dumb. When she was younger she would often leap before she looked, and end up the laughing stock of the entire herd she was part of. Age has soured her in many ways, but she is capable of opening up to those she feels she can trust. Her loyalty once you've proven yourself to be a real friend is fierce, though once you have been "claimed" as her friend/family she can become overbearing with what she feels is the right way to go. She has a very dominant personality, and is stubborn enough to make you see it her way, or fight with you till she's blue in the face and you don't want to hear it anymore.
Those that don't matter to her, see the elegant, and venomous facade she puts on to keep others at a distance, she likes to avoid being hurt, since in her own way she has always felt that she was inferior due to her background.
If one was to anger her, they would find that she is not elegant, nor gentle, nor sweet, but vengeful and brutal in her rage. Many of her old herd blamed it on her mixed blood, claiming she was more Kalona than her looks gave the impression of.
Physicality:
She is a little...larger than most wind mares, not as delicate looking, and with her attitude and glowing eyes, she is much more fearsome looking than other winds. Her agility is on par, or a little above some winds, and though her coloration is odd, she is still a very lovely mare. |

History:
As a basket, Alinea was somewhat the pride of her mother, though no one knew of the father, the markings were striking, and most assuredly she would be as much of a dark beauty as her mother. When she was presented to the world...the herd, there were hushed whispers, though her looks were of her mother, a fine dark skinned wind, her hair was a shock of red, and her eyes... her eyes disturbed them the most.
Yellow pupils, slitted and glowing against what should have been eye white, but it was pure black, as black as her skin. The torture began the moment she stepped down, hushed whispers of what hellish beast she had sprung from, mocking against her mother for bad breeding. Everyone belittled the young foal, calling her dirty, unfit, spoiled. Always looking down on her, she worked to try and prove them wrong...hard at work to make them see she wasn't some monster. But they tortured her poor mind too much, causing her anger to surface and she harmed many a young foal that would mock her, or yank on her red hair.
As she grew older, she started to take things to another level, making the rest of the herd fear her, obey her without question, for fear of her iron clad will bringing misfortune to them, she'd already broken the minds of three or four of the herd, what was another if they irritated her?
One day, something of her young self surfaced, she watched as two newborns were revealed, their mother cowering and begging forgiveness from her as though giving birth to foals was an infraction against her. She was startled suddenly by the madness and anger that had overcome all her sense, and then she felt the eyes of those she'd broken, still accusing her as she panicked.
Without a word, and a wild look in her eyes, she ran away, then flew, leaving behind what she'd turned herself into, trying to find the answer to why she'd turned into something so hateful, so dark, she'd set aside her better nature in the name of revenge. But now...she had ruined lives, and she was swiftly moving away, letting them start over, and letting herself begin again. |
