Bras make good hats!
No, that isn't what they are for...

Silk & Satin, Leather & Lace...

Wynni goes out with her family for a bit of shopping (specifically bras for Wynni on Riulve's insistence). Wynni ends up chasing her new brother through the 'intimates' aisles and soon ends up meeting Ebby!

Funny bumping into you here!
What's new?! (Adriel x Wynni: MSN)

Wynni wasn't exactly loitering but she wasn't exactly doing any meaningful purchasing either. Currently the pre-teen was wandering from one end of the store and heading toward the next in a distracted sort of manner. She wanted more jewelry and maybe see if she could find some nice makeup as well. More and more the young girl was attaining a personal interest in her appearance. In her hand she she held a permission slip from her mother to hand to a worker at the jewelry counter that handled the ear piercings. The first time was easy, painless, and fun! She wanted another.

The shop was just a random department store that catered to the needs of all genders and it was located in the mall in a very convenient manner.

His arms were empty in fact Chii and Fuu were doing most of the carrying as Adriel was sifting through a pile of new shirts, without thinking he tugged at his pants the hem had been pressing into his stomach for a while now...but he had been ignoring it. The fact he had gained weight annoyed him so much he was trying to pretend it didn't happen. But he needed new clothes anyway..since the dryer inccident had shrunk a bunch of his best shirts. The spawn frowned as he lifted a cream colore shirt into the air to appraise it. No...he was pale enough as it were he didn't need more pale clothes to compliment that. So he fished around for another color..this one was stretchy material..a deep green..he rather liked it.

The young spawn was walking and not paying attention to any of her surroundings least of all anything immediately in front of her as she moved forward. Her pale pink gaze concentrated hither and yon and then finally she found herself pressed against another warm body that was slightly bigger than her own frame and perhaps a bit taller; she couldn't tell for she soon stumbled back and fell on her rump with a soft 'oof!' passing her lips. Her eyes squeezed shut as she uttered a small whimper and rubbed at her lower back next to the stem of where her tail began under her dress. After a second or two she bowed her head in a manner that was apologetic, "So sorry! I didn't notice...!"

Adriel dropped the shirt he was holding as he was walked into Surprised Fuu caught it but managed to drop the bag it was holding to the floor. It then sheepishly laid the shirt down and reached to pick up the bag on the floor. Chii however was more interested in the girl that had run into them.
Turning Adriel looked to his assailent only to be surprised to see Wynni.
"Wow Wynni long timeno see." He exlaimed though he laughed at her apology. Chii lightly put the bag down on the ground before reaching out demanding attention from the girl.

The pre-teen blushed so much that the tips of her pointed ears turned a light reddish color as she looked up and realized that it was Adriel that she had rudely rammed into! She had recognized the voice though it was much old, "Adriel! Fuu! Chii! They're better!" She said in a happy tone as she stumbled to get her footing but not being sure to make sure to snatch up the very important permission slip from the floor from where she dropped it. She giggled at Chii and reached out a hand to pet at the tentacle, "Yes! Hi! I see you!" the girl said adoringly to the tentacle.

Adriel's laughter boomed through the store. He really seemed different from the stuttering soft spoken boy from before.
"They do seem very happy to see you as well." He said, though he knew they wanted more than hugs. In fact Fuu was poking at Wynni's arm for attention whilst Chii got all of Wynni's pets.
"they are still..up to no good, but they are behaving better than before." he stated with a nod of his head.
"what brings you to the mall Wynni?" He asked after a moment seeing her grab the slip from the air.

Wynni tilted her head at this new Adriel but still smiled brightly at him as the blush faded and she simply held onto the paper she had caught, finally. She petted Chii and then turned her attention to Fuu being careful to divide her attention and adoration between the two rascally tentacles so as that neither got jealous. To her they were almost like strange wiggling dogs that were always excited to see her because she treated them so well.

"I am glad they are happy to see me! They are such sweet dears, and you grew! You're so handsome now, Adriel." She gushed happily as she looked up at her oldest (literally) friend. "Oh I am here to get another ear piercing." She said cheerfully, her tail wagging just slightly behind her.

Adriel nodded his head the tentacles happy as clams to have her attention. She certianly knew how to please them. It reminded him of Mareike in a way.
"Oh? Your ears peirced again?" he recalled his first time and that was enough for him.
"I am glad you seem to be doing well Wynni, tell me what you have been up to. I've dnoe enough clothes shopping I think for now. Let me accompany you to the ear piercing parlor." He said in a much more gentlemanly sort of way.

Wynni giggled and nodded as she absently petted at the tentacles, "Yep! Again, I just liked it so much the first time and there are so many pretty earrings." She seemed excited as she talked about earrings. The pre-teen tilted her head a bit as he offered to come with her. She'd love the company of course but she didn't want to drag him from his other duties, but then again he seemed to have completed his business here. After a moment she nodded excitedly, "Yes! Come with me Adriel! It'll be fun and we can go to lunch afterward." She definitely was more excited now.

Adriel nodded his head though the idea of food nearly made him drool he had to remind himself that he was trying to loose weight not gain it.
"Not sure about lunch but we shall see." He agreed with a laugh as he had Chii and Fuu shitft about as he moved towards the girl. Somewhat hoping she didn't noticed his weight gain to his stomach.
"You really seem to like jewerly." He stated after he managed to stand up close to her.

Wynni tilted her head as she began lead the way forward once she had managed to get all her things in order, "Oh? Well hope you don't mind if I grab something small for on the go at least, ice cream sounds really good," she chattered happily not seeming to notice the weight gain upon her friend, but she seemed pretty oblivious to such subtle changes when first meeting with a friend she hadn't seen for a while.

"Huh? Oh yeah! I love jewelry, they can make a person look really nice," she said gleefully, her tail twitching back and forth at the tip in an excited fashion. "I'm babysitting to help keep my money up for more jewelry and stuff," the tall pre-teen giggled a bit. "It is a good thing they're all so cute!"

He nodded his head listening to her happy voice. He missed her, then again he missed most of the people he hadn't seen in a while. He gave her a large smile as he then started to walk in the direction of the parlor.
"That is awesome to hear! You must have a lot of energy to look after children." he said with a laugh, she was diligence afterall.

"So have you picked out the new earrings yet?" He asked while they walked.

The pre-teen grinned at Adriel and nodded, "Yeah, you gotta have a lot of energy to keep up with them otherwise they try to sneak somethin' past ya and even then they manage some sort of mischief," the spawn giggled softly and shrugged a bit as she moved enter the parlor, like most places in the mall it didn't have a door that needed to be opened in order to enter.

"I got a couple I want, for my new piercings I am gonna just gonna go with studs for now, they are easier to take out and take care of." Wynni said with a nod as she approached the counter, "You sure you don't want anything? My treat!" It was a delight for her to treat her friends with whatever she had.

Adriel chewed on his lower lip as she offered the icecream as a treat..he felt half starved.
"Uh...sure..just a small though...and any flavor. Not picky." He finally caved in, he had looked at them...that had been an bad idea. "But I can pay you don't have to.." he rushed after a moment reaching for his wallet in his back pocket.

Wynni wrinkled her nose over at Adriel, "Fine pay for your own," she said teasingly as she made her order for a mint with chocolate chip for herself and a small chocolate and vanilla twist for Adriel since he had basically said she could choose for him. Now she stood at the register paying for her own fidgeting slightly as she waited for the ice creams to be prepared.

"What have you been up to, Handsome?" she asked openly.

His face went beat red at the comment of him being handsome he wasn' use to getting compliments like that. Ever. Well except from Duncan anyway.
"Uh...not much...moved into my new place, ....got a boyfriend too.." he added which only added further to his red face. He wondered if Wynni knew Duncan at all.
He rubbed the back of his hair looking a bit sheepish at revealing this information.
"Nothing major though." He gave an embarrassed laugh.

Wynni giggled a bit as she took the ice creams and waited for Adriel to pay for his half before handing him his cone, "Yeah? That's great!" She seemed amused by his blushing more than anything else. It was always so fun when he blushed for some reason and she couldn't seem to get over it but she tried not to do it too much lest it made her friend uncomfortable, "A boyfriend huh? Is he nice?Does he treat you good?" She asked with a small tilt to her head.

The pre-teen sincerely hoped Adriel was being treated well; if not ... She'd find a way make it better, somehow.

Dear Journal...
Pregnancies and babies everywhere...

Writing in her journal was both boring and relaxing it was hard to explain. She got to write out her thoughts but on the other hand she had to try and sit still while doing so. It was very annoying indeed. Then she also had to think about what she has to write about and sometimes nothing came to her mind. There was a question she had for her mother but for the moment the woman was busy getting ready for bed. Ah well.

Wynni sighed and started to scribble down her thoughts in to the journal.

Journal Page
Dear Journal,

Where do babies come from exactly? How are they made? I kind of understand from guessing at it, I think. I know it takes ... a girl and a boy, right? Then again Adriel is pregnant and I don't even know how that happened and it felt really, really rude to ask. I think I might ask my mom.

Adhara was pregnant and she had a baby girl recently. She's very adorable and I am glad I got to meet her and take care of her for a time! I think Puck enjoyed playing with her, too. Then again he enjoys playing with everyone, so I guess that isn't always a ringing endorsement, heehee.

Would you believe that I didn't know that Adriel had gotten kidnapped? It wasn't exactly my fault that I didn't hear about it until Adhara mentioned it when I first found out she had a baby in her belly. My mom had grounded me for something I had done. I couldn't watch television or listen to the radio or anything! It was so boring; I don't ever want to have to go through that again, either. Anyways Adhara said it was all over the news. Augh, mom, why did you have to ground me then?

Doesn't help that mom is happy to keep the television off and doesn't turn it on during the day and Puck can't reach the buttons on the television just yet and mom always hides the remote from him trying to get him to live without it. Something about 'the contraption might explode' when she touches it. Whatever.

I think I'm gonna ask mom where babies come from, no matter how silly she is. She's pregnant! She ought to know something, right? Hee.

Signed,
Wynnifred Drunhild

Wynni placed her pen down and stood up. Puck could wait for her a few moments more for her to come play games with him, like she promised. The boy had been spending time amongst other family members and doing things on his own, which was good; it gave her time to herself. With a small sigh she stood up and traipsed her way toward her mother and Hatty's room for a private chat with Riulve.

Dear Journal...
Curious Preteens and new additions...

Before Riulve had begun to write in her journal Wynni wandered into the room and quietly draped across the bed. The young preteen knew that it would be a while before her ... father figure would come up and join her mother and for now this seemed the best time to smuggle private time with her guardian. The preteen quietly lay on the bed and snuggled up to Riulve. The tall woman chuckled and quietly played with her daughter's hair. It was rare the girl was patient enough for such actions and even now the girl's tail had begun to twitch at the tip restlessly.

"What is it my dear heart?" Riulve murmured affectionately.

Wynni gave a small pleased sound at the acknowledgement and snuggled closer to her guardian, "Momma, m...my friends have been having babies and I kind of know how it happens but I want you to tell me," the spawn blushed faintly at her own words.

Riulve paused a bit and ran a free hand through her own white hair and shuffled it about while her daughter waited patiently by petting at her mothers stomach where a baby had begun to show some light movement of its own. Riulve closed her icy blue eyes for a moment, "Are you in a rush for a baby or did you just want to know for curiosity's sake?"

"I just wanna know," Wynni murmured a bit as she leaned her head up to rest it against Riulve's shoulder.

The answer seemed to please the woman, at least slightly, "Alright. Babies come, usually, when a man and woman come together and they ... mate," Riulve had no better answer for it than that, "but unlike most animals in the wild it is better when they are in love when they mate and also plan to have pups together."

Wynni's mouth formed a small 'o' she wasn't sure what this 'mating' was but it seemed important to the act and it seemed to match up to some of the ideas she had however disjointed. "W..Well one of my friends, it was on accident. She came the other night with her baby it was very cute...Puck seemed pleased with it all together," Wynni said openly as she hugged one of her mother's arms, "and one of my other friends who is pregnant is a boy." The spawn gave a small giggle and shrugged.

The shifter took in the information with a small blink but nodded slowly, things like this shouldn't surprise her but, still, men having children simply wasn't how it was done from where she had come from no matter how magical the world itself was, "By the Pillars," Riulve murmured with a small sigh. "I hope you plan to wait for love," the woman murmured after clearing her throat.

"Oh I do! I really, really do." Wynni vowed as she hugged onto her mother's arm tightly.

Riulve smiled a bit relieved, "Go tend to Puck before your brother gets too restless on his own," she turned her head and planted a kiss on her daughter's forehead. "Hatty will be here any moment and we need sleep unlike you two.

Wynni grinned lightly and returned the kiss with a kiss at her mother's jaw, "Yes ma'am! Thank you." She crawled off the bed, one of her limp wings drifting over Riulve's shin sending a pleasant shiver up the pregnant woman's spine. Wynni left the room with a content smile and humming a soft tune.

Journal Page
Dear Journal,

Wynni has changed so much since she has grown from child to a young preteen. She matured, but I think our ... interaction may be to blame for a part of that, not saying that I am proud of how that happened. My belly gets bigger and bigger, I fear the day when I am unable to move and Wynni is starting to insist on hanging around home a bit more often unless she needs to be somewhere. She has told me that a couple of her friends were pregnant or had a child already, they are so young, I do not understand what the rush is but then from what I understand one of them was accidental...Still...

My daughter seems to have no inclination for one or the other and seems quite content to be on her own attached to no one. I told her about a young friend of hers that seemed interested in dating her but I think she may have accidentally let it slip her mind, I certainly hope the boy isn't hurt by my daughters unintentional flighty behavior but sometimes it is best if you ask a girl yourself, right? I got lucky with Harriet. We were connected through a service and we have been together ever since and I can not imagine being happier at the moment. We moved in together and brought our families together, thus far it is melding well enough. No family is perfect, of course.

I wonder, should I be concerned that my daughter seems disinterested in finding a mate of her own? She is curious enough to know where babies come from and I told her to the ... best of my abilities. My knowledge, I am afraid, is a bit more ... archaic and I am afraid I may have confused my pup. Then again she seemed to just smile and walk off with the information as if it suited her.

Strange girl.

Signed,
Riulve Drunhild

Riulve sighed and put the journal down on her night stand and simply sat back in her bed rubbing at her belly. Nothing in this house suited her the way it was arranged right now and now she seemed to understand her daughter's agitation of it all from that day when Wynni had decided to redecorate on her own. Still, this seemed different woman felt odd comparing the two. Wynni was growing like a weed getting taller and taller, it'll be hard for her to find a mate of certain height compatibility or would that even matter...? Once more Riulve remembered how lucky she had gotten with her mate and she gave a small thin chuckle. Perhaps she only worried so much now because she was pregnant, that must be it...

New life...
Wynni's Point-of-View...

Journal Page
Dear Journal,

I got a new little brother. To be honest I was kind of hoping for a little sister, oh well.

He's very cute and I'm happy for Mom and Dad. I am sure the baby'll grow up to be someone really awesome because it's my mom and Hatty that'll raise them, right? I try to do what I can to help but really it kind of made me realize that it'll be a long, long time before I ever try to have a baby of my own if at all. So much crying and needing to change the diaper. How my mom even figures out when to do anything that needs to be done is far, far beyond me. Maybe it's just instinct...

Puck seems pretty happy to have a new little brother. Always wants to stare at him and insists on playing with him. But the baby is too young for Puck to play with him like he plays with other children. Kind of makes Puck sulk a bit but it makes him happy when we let him hold his brother for a while.

Been trying to look for some other things to eat up my time beyond just going out and wandering and making friends and stuff. Maybe if I get a job somewhere or something?

I don't know. I am starting to feel restless.

Signed,
Wynnifred Drunhild

Wynni sighed as she closed up the journal and leaned back in her chair and stared up at the ceiling of her room. The restless feeling was a familiar one. It built up after a while from time to time. It didn't make her sad or anything it just made things a little frustrating when she was trying to figure out things she wanted to do. Sometimes the restlessness prevented her from even deciding what she wanted to do because she would reject the thought before it could even fully hatch.

She didn't want to go for a walk.

She didn't want to clean her room.

She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. Wynni decided, despite not wanting to go for a walk, she would simply do so despite how she felt about the prospect despite not wanting to do so in the first place. Perhaps it would make the feeling of her missing something somewhere go away. It was the hardest part of being Wynni. She always felt like she was missing something, but still she didn't complain because she was still alive and happy. She had a family that loved her and cared whether she lived or died. As she stood and got herself ready to go she went through and counted her blessings with a small smile upon her lips.

Wynni would just have to wait until her day came, until she could totally 'hatch' and become what and who she was meant to be, for now she just needed to be happy, content, and figure out how to deal with herself when she got into these strange moods that weren't quite depression but weren't quite contentment.

She paused where her messenger bag and wallet lay and picked them up on her way out. Wynni carefully tucked her wallet into her bag for safekeeping and turned out the light in her bedroom as she left. Perhaps she would go for a walk and go see a movie. Yes that sounded like fun. That is what normal children did, right? Especially the ones that could go out on her own like she could.

For a moment she worried whether or not she could sit still during the movie but she would try. If it got too hard for her to sit still she would simply leave before she annoyed anyone, which was all she COULD do. Wynni bid her mother farewell and went out into the bright and sunny afternoon.

Sweet little Clockwork Bird...
Wynni finds a hobby...

Wynni was walking home when something shining had caught her eye, she was a curious sort and turned and walked toward the object with a bit of a head tilt. She knelt into the grass and her pale fingertips took up a small clockwork toy in shape of a bird. She quietly looked it over and poked at the key which sat bent and rendered unusable. She frowned and felt a bit of pity for the poor abandoned toy. Quietly she cradled it to her chest as she stood and gazed around to see if perhaps the person that owned the toy was still around but found that no one around her was even looking in her direction and thus she decided, quite simply, that the toy was hers now. Hers to fix and take care of.

"Come a long little bird, I'll get you fixed up," she promised as she directed herself toward a nearby hardware and hobby shop.

Once in the shop she wandered through the myriad of tools and things until she found a set that were small and fine enough to help take care of something as small and delicate as the object she held against her chest. She paid for the tools and then wandered home while she sang a small song to the bed despite her singing voice being not that good, she couldn't help herself. She was in a pretty happy mood. Something needed her to take care of it. Wynni's mind tossed names about as she walked her way home with her free hand holding onto a bag that held her purchases.

When she got home she did not greet anyone and went directly into her room. Wynni closed her door and cleared everything off her desk and then set up her tools and everything she needed to work on her little patient and then settled into work.

Wynni had managed to bring the clockwork bird apart and to remove the broken key so she could replace it with the new one she had bought back at the store. The gears and bits inside the little toy-creature were so small and intricate it amazed Wynni that anyone could even make anything like this much less abuse the poor thing to where it no longer worked. Unless of course that they had loved the toy so much that they eventually used it into breaking which was still sad and needlessly rough. The mint haired girl had begun the daunting task of putting the outsides back inside once she believed she had figured out a good plan of attack, but sometimes she'd get so excited that her hands trembled and jittered so excitedly that she would drop something or something would come undone which caused her to call out in frustration.

After a handful of these failures she had to get up and walk away. She wandered downstairs, got a snack and something to drink, and then pondered the conundrum over her small meal. When she finished eating Wynni wandered back up to her room and tried again. Once more she ran into the problem of not being able to keep her hands calm and steady which was needed for such precise work, apparently. She uttered a small groan of frustration the insides of the small mechanical bird fell outward again and all over her desk; even some oil spilt out, much like blood, and stained the wood. Great now she was making a mess. She groaned and leaned back in her chair once more, a smear of oil had somehow made it across her cheek. Wynni pouted at the ceiling before she began to gather the bits of the bird and gently put it into an empty tupperware container she had found that wasn't being used and likely would never be used again. Later her mother would wonder what happened to that container but Wynni would worry about that later.

"I'll try to fix you again, Birdie. Just not right now," Wynni sighed as she stood up and wandered out of her room. Maybe if she tried with something bigger? She should probably take a look around at the store she was in they had a bunch of kits and maybe even antique stores might have similar items she could practice on.

Yes. That seemed like a good plan...
