While Bernard didn't quite approve of Gaian schools, there were times he and Ennea had to go places the boys simply couldn't come. It was days like these that the Durem Municipal Community Association came in handy. They were a temporary solution, and the boys seemed to enjoy it well enough.
That day, he had dropped them off at the Arts and Crafts room. Eager to get to work on something, Teyr threw himself at the project for the day - paper mache bowls. The paste took some getting used to, but soon he was cheerfully draping slimy strips of newspaper over a balloon. Once he got over the icky feeling, it was lots of fun!
Zwei was less enthusiastic about the project. To please the teacher who was supervising, he'd put a few strips on a balloon, but as soon as he had something that looked vaguely bowl-shaped he'd put it aside. Now he was working with a bit of clay, working in secret with his shoulders hunched over his masterpiece.

Wynni and Puck had been dropped off at the center and they were now wandering about with curious stares and talking to each other in quiet voices as they walked along. Mostly the conversation was Wynni asking what her younger brother wanted to do and Puck answering with an exuberant 'I'unno!' as he held onto his big sister's tail and letting her walk ahead of him while one tentacle waved about happily and the other just peered about as if this whole establishment was very much beneath its attention.
While the pre-teen was old enough to be off on her own without much supervision she had come upon her brother's insistence that she come and spent time with them here. Doing whatever the little boy thought of. Wynni peeked in the arts and crafts room and soon Puck was peeking around her and he offered a cheerful, "I wanna do dis!" and then he snatched up his sister's hand and pulled her to the station near where a pair of other spawns where working. At the moment the siblings didn't notice the others starting to get the things together to start the project with the assistance of a harried assistant.
Wynni agreed to forgo her own project in order to focus on helping her rather excited brother.
"Watch out, Puu-chan, you'll get this stuff everywhere," Wynni chided gently at her brother with a small giggle.
Ziiba (Puck's right tentacle) was fast at work making a mess of thing while Nicht (Puck's left tentacle) tried to stay as far from the disaster as the body would allow it.

"What's Zwei doing?" Teyr asked curiously, dropping another strip of paper on his bowl. It was at least ten layers thick already, but now that he had the hang of it, he didn't want to stop.
Zwei only hunched over further. "Secret," he whispered. No one could see until it was perfect! But Teyr looked so sad that he had to say something else. "Um. One is for Teyr."
"Really?" That only made Teyr more excited, and he jumped up to try and get a better look. His wings smacked into the container of paper mache paste and knocked it over, causing the sticky substance to ooze over the table. Gasping as he saw the damage, Teyr covered his mouth with his hands. "Sorry!" he squeaked through them. "Sorry sorry sorry!"
Sighing, Zwei swept his project into a nearby chair and grabbed a roll of paper towels from nearby. Ripping off several sheets, he draped them over the mess, hoping to stop it from spreading. "Sorry," he said to those who were nearby. "Will fix."

The siblings were unaware of the other two nearby their station making a small ruckus that is until the ruckus turned into a bit of a mess and then the pair looked up from their combined project with a bit of a blink. The small boy looked up at his sister questioningly as Wynni looked back down at him with a raised eyebrow. Quietly the tall pre-teen stood and moved to assist, "Sure you two don't want help?"
The instructors were too busy to really do much of anything other than look momentarily annoyed before they continued skittering about the other stations after seeing that one of the older children took it upon themselves to help.
Puck stood behind his sister and nodded, "Yeah! We help?" The silver-plated tentacles attached to the boy seemed to just drift off behind him for the moment as they allowed their 'host' to do what needed to be done, besides there were so many other interesting things behind them!

Zwei pulled off a long section of paper towels and tossed it over the table. It didn't seem to soak up much of the paste, to his dismay. It was slow to spread, but there was a lot of it. He pulled off another few sheets before looking up at the girl who offered to help. It would probably be easier if they did help, but he didn't like the implication that he couldn't take care of it himself. "Can do it-"
"Really?" Teyr looked hopeful. If they offered to help, maybe they weren't too upset. And the most important thing now was getting the mess cleaned up. "Please? Will make up for it, promise!"
Frowning, Zwei tore off several more sheets, then handed the roll to the older girl. "Thank you," he muttered, smacking the table with paper-covered hands.
"Thank you," Teyr echoed, too busy panicking to be of much use. Everywhere he moved he seemed to be in the way, so he tried to back up and waited for someone to tell him what to do.

Wynni, naturally, meant no insult with her offer to help, she was about to agree to let them go about it themselves when the other spoke up and seemed to really want her and her brother's help. Mixed signals indeed, and so she settled on helping instead and went to get many more paper towels while Puck went about helping the best way he knew how.
Puck was constructing a dam some of the left over paper he had been using prior for his project. His hands and one of his tentacles helped to twist the paper as he strategically moved to stem the flow of 'glue' in place instead of allowing it to spread further. It made perfect sense that it should work, but the dam was imperfect as sometimes some of the glue crept past the paper's imperfect lines. "I helped?" the small boy asked glancing between the two strangers before him.
Soon Wynni was there to help sop up the rest of the mess careful not to get into Zwei's way as he went about cleaning as well, she glanced at Teyr and blinked a bit, "Get the garbage pail over here?" the pre-teen asked with a cheerful smile.

It wasn't that Zwei minded the help so much as he wanted to prove he could handle it by himself. But he reminded himself that teamwork was a good thing even for small projects that didn't technically require it. The faster they cleaned it up, the sooner they could work on something else.
Once he had reminded himself of this, he was in much better spirits, and nodded to the young boy who was helping. "Good job," he stated, trying to get the glue wiped up before it overtook the dam.
Teyr practically ran for the trash can, relieved that someone was telling him what to do. It was a bit unwieldy, but he managed to push it over to the table without knocking it over- though he came close once or twice. "Here!" he called, breathless from anxiety and exertion. "What next?"

Puck happily puffed up at the praise and nodded enthusiastically as he continued to make his dam and even reinforce it. Whenever it seemed a part of his dam wasn't needed he would move the paper to the pile of used tissues that Wynni set aside when she had used them to their full potential.
Wynni watched the other boy bring the pail carefully for a long moment and even held her breath a few times when it seemed as if he wasn't going to make it without spilling over but let her breath out softly when he put it down, she gave a nod, "Good job, here, pick up the piles of used tissues and stuff and put it in the pail," Wynni instructed patiently, they were almost done cleaning up the mess.
The tall pre-teen found herself thankful that the floor wasn't carpet.

"Yes!" Having instructions made everything much easier, and Teyr quickly began to clear the used paper off of the table. Now that they had the mess contained, he could see that it wasn't so bad after all. Bad enough, though, that he still felt terrible for causing it. He kept looking at the girl, worried that she would be angry at him for making such a mess.
Zwei ran another sheet of paper towel over the end of the table he'd been working on. "Almost done. But," he noted with concern, "table's sticky." This was why he didn't like that goopy stuff. Clay was way more fun.

Wynni smiled at Zwei and nodded at him, she shared his concern over the table's sticky nature due to the goop that had spilt on it, but luckily she had a solution, "Why don't you three get the rest of these paper towels dampened so we can get rid of the stickiness." the tall pre-teen suggested hoping the others agreed with her idea, alas no one came to their aid not that they needed it, Wynni seemed to have it under control.
Puck looked at his sister as if she had given him a very important mission and nodded excitedly, "I can do it! Yeah!" He reached out a hand for the paper towels as Wynni began to hand them out.
The theory behind this practice was that she'd finish cleaning the remainder of the goop and the three could look after each other in case anything major happened in between dampening the rest of the paper towels and getting back to her. She noted one of the boys seemed calmer and very capable of watching out for her brother and the other nervous seeming boy.

"Yes!" Teyr said again, not really knowing what else to say other than "sorry," a topic he'd already exhausted. He took the paper towels and looked around for a sink or a water fountain, and finding neither.
Having much the same difficulty, Zwei frowned. "Maybe in the hall?" Surely there would be a bathroom or a water fountain out there. He nudged Teyr in that direction while keeping an eye on the younger boy.
"Oh, yes!" Turning redder still, Teyr opened the door to the art room. "Let's hurry fast!"

Wynni giggled lightly and shook her head at Teyr's apologetic behaviorism. "You are fine, promise," she assured him before he disappeared with her brother and the other boy into the hallway toward the water fountain. It certainly was a good solution. The pre-teen hadn't seen a sink, though there ought to have been for incidents like these, when she looked and had hoped they wouldn't have to go too far out of their way, alas. She returned to her cleaning with a small smile upon her lips.
Puck followed happily carrying a batch of paper towels. He snuck past the boys and soon was at a set of water fountains that went, thankfully, lower in a three-tiered fashion and there was even one he could reach, "Water!" he called out cheerfully as he moved toward them and getting ready to dampen his paper towels with water.

The reassurances only made Teyr feel worse, and he hurried out of the room before she could say anything else. While he certainly didn't want anyone to hate him, being forgiven after he messed up made him feel just as bad.
Rather relieved that they didn't have to go far, Zwei quickly caught up with the younger boy. "Good job," he said again, reminding himself that teamwork was important. He too began to soak the paper, making extra sure that there weren't any dry spots left.
By the time that Teyr reached the fountains, the two lower ones were in use. The tallest was a bit difficult for him, but if he stood on his tiptoes he could press the button, while holding the paper in his other hand.
"Ready?" he asked, his unevenly wet paper towels dripping on the floor next to him.

Wynni had the mess mostly cleaned up now, at least it wasn't going to spread or become even stickier. She let a small giggle as she just ushered the teachers along when they tried to stop and help. They honestly needed to attend the others or else this whole mess would repeat and no one would get done. After a few moments she wandered to the door and peeked out to see how the boys were progressing.
Puck had his paper towels dampened successfully though he didn't quite get it wrung out to satisfaction, but that was okay. The small boy observed the water also made a mess but the water would dry, right? Puck had preened happily at the praise given and then he gazed at Teyr and nodded energetically. "Readies!" He announced happily. One tentacle was waving excitedly mirroring its host's emotion, while the other tentacle just seemed to just 'peer' about 'supervising' this whole mess.
The preteen grinned faintly and ducked back into the classroom. The boys didn't need to realize that she had just been watching them. Quickly she scurried back the station and waited.

"Ready too," Zwei agreed, holding his paper towels in his cupped hands so they would drip as little as possible. He eyed the others with some skepticism before heading back to the classroom.
Teyr tried to copy what Zwei was doing, but only got halfway before he had to run to catch up, his paper towels creating a path of droplets after him.
While Zwei was in a hurry to get the cleaning finished, he did at least wait at the door before going inside. "Wipe the tables?" he asked, making sure he had the same idea as the girl. She was pretty good at the whole cleaning thing.
