Wynni had gone to the beach to escape the madness of her home. She loved her family, dearly, but lately the insanity had been turned up and someone had apparently torn off the knob. The closer her mother got to giving birth the more insane the woman seemed to get. Her mother had begun to 'nest' often asking everyone to rearrange this or that or often making people rearrange things in the baby's nursery. Then you add her little brother, Puck, and things just went out of control. When she announced that she was going out her brother, Mana, had decided to tag along but had disappeared as soon as they got to the beach, which suited the preteen just fine because she wanted to just sit down for a few moments and just soak up the sun and maybe see if she could sneak into a game of volleyball, as long as she was allowed to stay toward the back her tail never got in the way of others.
Armed with a canvas bag that held a towel, protective lotion, a hat, and some sunglasses she settled upon one of the public lounging chairs and got out her lotion and began to put some on as she hummed cheerfully to herself. Wynni wouldn't be able to sit still for long but at least she wore a nice comfortable bathing suit that allowed her ease movement where it mattered most.

Another day at the beach. Dane had been at the beach so often that it might as well have been his second home. Every little alcove, every tide pool, and every snack stand, Dane knew all of these like the back of his hand by now.
He had set up his little home base when he got to the beach, towel, parasol, lotion, and a pair of sandals were all sitting in a spot not from from the shore line. The owner had been in the water for a little while now. After swimming about in the ocean the boy had decided he had better re-apply some sun lotion lest he get a nasty burn again that made him look like some browning avocado. He made his way back to shore wiping some water out of his face and knocking some water from his ears as he made way for his stuff.

Wynni sat upon her seat and simply watched everyone across the beach, her oddly shaped legs pulled up to her chest and her chin rested upon her forearms. Her tail coiled around her legs resting across her feet. Her tail twitched restlessly but Wynni stubbornly sat still for as long as her body would allow it. Her wings shifted against her back and other than these small movements and odd behaviors she was rather well at ease.
Her pink eyes gazed toward the shore for whatever reason and there she saw a rather green individual. She blinked a little bit. He looked like a spawn but then so do some other people in Gaia depending upon the day. She took a moment or two trying to decide if she was going to approach the lad or not and had settled upon doing so. Wynni had come to make friends and that boy seemed a good place to start, they might have something in common!
Finally relenting to her body's desire to move she stood up and began to make her way to Dane while he made his way to his spot. "Hiya," she announced her presence to him cheerfully. Wynni's hand lifted up to fiddle at her secondary ear piercing in a faintly nervous fashion.

Dane was shaking some water out of his hair as he had approached his towel. Hearing the voice his head turned toward its owner his hands still in his hair. He wasn't used to strangers just coming up and introducing themselves, he used to be a very shy child and he still had trouble with meeting new people.
"Uhm, hey," He greeted her back straightening up and mussing his hair so it would stay out of his face. He looked the girl up and down, she had some rather peculiar features, reminiscent in a familiar tone, "Nice day today huh? The water is finally getting to its mid summer warmth. It usually takes a while longer," He commented making small talk.
