Kenpachi Kōdo

11th Division Captain

Instinct told him to move after his thrust had failed, and as soon as he had spoken to her and missed, he was gone. Kōdo moved again through the air in order to find a better angle to attack from; it didn't appear to be a simple task as she seemed to know her way around a blade. This was not something that could phase the madman, however, but instead excited him even more. Appearing to the naked eye little more than a half second later, Kōdo prepared to lunge at Sakuya from the side and cut her open at the shoulder. However, just as soon as he did so, the Rose Cero began to take form and once more he allowed instinct to control his actions. Out poured his Reiatsu, blanketing the area with the intense pressure it generated while it also restricted the movement of the Reiryoku taking form in his body. The large Pressure served to dampen the explosion just as it happen, reducing it by a half. Although the attack had been cut down, it was not something he could fully ignore, and as he clutched at his chest and vomited blood from his partially damaged organs, he slipped down towards the ground.

Kōdo hit the ground below and remained motionless while Sakuya's words filled the air, all signs pointing to him being dead or fully out of commission for a long time. This proved to be false a moment later when he let out a chuckle and bent his legs at the knees and pulled himself to his feet without the use of his hands. "Brilliant!" He shouted, glee surrounded his tone, expressing how amusing this was to him. "Absolutely brilliant! I can finally go all out!" Without wasting a single second, Kōdo moved his hand to the machine in his chest, gripped it tightly in his fingers, and then ripped it from his body and tossed it onto the ground. The effects were instant; his Reiatsu poured down from the sky in a giant, uncontrolled mass of energy. His body radiated with pure, raw power that had been untapped up until just now. Amidst the Captain's manic laughter, he suddenly vanished, appearing to her front with his blade held by both of his hands, the blade pointed towards his back and being held away from his body. In an instant, he swung, dragging it across the empty air which began to literally part for him. The resulting speed and force behind the swing sent a preliminary wave of air which would easily cut through her body. Not only that, but it would be easy to mistake the wave for his actual blade. Grinning like a madman, Kōdo followed the wave with his blade, and aimed to cut his opponent straight in half from her left hip to her right shoulder.

Tetsunosuke Harasawa

Sixth Division's Captain

User Image

As the two Cero Oscuras erupted from the sphere of water, Tetsunosuke's change to astonishment. He listened to Jacques as he begun to talk, looking worried, he started chanting the incantation, trying to perform Kōjutsu Eishō. "Jacques! You fool!!" Tetsu shouted after he Sonido'ed to Neida. Figuring they would both be dealt with by Lee's Kidō, or Tsukiko's gravity, he didn't bother with pursuit. But to his surprise, Jacques was able to summon forth a Negación. Gripping his Zanpakutō tightly, Tetsunosuke looked away and canceled his own Bankai. Deep down, he could feel a relief that they both were gone, but he felt like he made a huge clumsy mistake. Feeling the pain rush over him, he began to sweat and breath heavily. He moved to sheath his Zanpakutō just as soon as he was being yelled at. Moving toward the people he thought were his comrades, he felt like leaving their presence as soon as he got closer.

"Masashi-taichō... last I checked, my Zanpakutō wasn't one that read minds, and I am not a Kidō expert." Tetsu spoke rudely back to the Captain. "I wasn't strong enough to kill him, so I took him hostage. How was I supposed to know a level sixty Kidō could be so easily broken by him?!" Tetsunosuke said with veracity. He inhaled to reply to the rest of Lee's accusations. "Perhaps, Masashi-taichō, you should used that arrogance of yours to finish that female Sephira off!! Instead, you had to have a Fukutaichō back you up. Also, if I wanted him to escape, why would I have wasted my Reiryoku using a Bakudō?" Tetsu replied with the same tone as before. He became wide eyed as Tsukiko stomped Lee into the ground. He also became slight enraged by her attitude toward a superior officer. When Tsukiko called him an idiot, it wasn't a surprise to hear from her; after all, she was the arrogant daughter of an arrogant man. With a slight, tch, being released after her first stammered set of words, he listened to her as he cross his arms. He shook his head as he struggled with words it appeared. "And you have no right to speak to me in that tone, Fukutaichō. I won't be subjected to stay quiet just because you so wish it. I never asked to become this Vizard, THING! I was ordered, and I followed orders to a T!! I fought with my life on the line; I made what I thought was the wisest choice. Would you I have preferred I let him go without captivity!? Rather then fighting an endless battle -that could have led to my death-, I took him under arrest in hopes that we could better prepare ourselves, and possibly... get some answers as to how Arrancar's gain Shinigami powers. I thought, maybe your brilliant father could figure something out, and reverse the Hollowfication. But now, I enjoy these Hollow powers, they make me just as arrogant as the rest of you here!!!" Tetsunosuke was emotional with his words and body. He was tired of being talked to like had been these past few hours. A vain was visible on his forward as he unclenched his hands. He exhaled loudly and looked away. "Elisia, who all is left fighting?" He asked out of curiosity, still looking away. He figured she would know since she had been all around the battle field, healing the injured. Not worrying about his own injuries, he was ready to go and aid someone.

Malchut Sephira - Being of Lowliness

He did not appear to take joy in the fact that his hit had landed or that he had rendered the Vizard's arm nearly useless. No, certainly not, his mind was still focused on killing him, and if he wasn't dead, he would not be happy. As soon as he heard the words spill from Hibiki's mouth, he cast them aside. Trifles to his ears they were, and unimportant was the Bakudō that they brought with them. The bestial Sephira did not even bat an eye as he was attached to Hibiki's arm, instead keeping his thoughts channeled into a single thought which repeated in his mind as if on an infinite loop. Kill. Kill. Kill. A second later, he felt something embed itself in his back, but it was still too late for something for like that to register in his mind, for in the middle of all of his fingers, Reiryoku had begun to gather. Silvery white in color, the small sphere began to increase in size until it stabilized just as he was shot in the chest with Hibiki's Cero, which rebounded off his Hierro and created a smoke screen from the culminating explosion.

Then, without warning, the Kidō snapped under his physical strength, and without skipping a beat, Zenos made a claw with his hand and rammed his hand, nails first, right towards Hibiki's stomach. First his nails would dig into his skin, and then the Cero would release to punch a hole into his stomach and exit out the back. Following this, as Zenos felt the bestial nature within him growing stronger, he let out a laugh which was promptly interrupted by the feeling of Ori's sudden dip in Reiryoku. Snarling, the Sephira jerked his head to the right and looked in their direction, before sniffing the air like a hound and catching the scent of Ori's blood. To the mindless beast this meant nothing, but it would make sense later. Zenos turned back towards his opponent and after removing the object from his back, he stepped forward to rush Hibiki again, regardless of how his Cero had fared, but was once again interrupted by another feeling. This time it was an increase in the Reiatsu of that same man, it was abnormal, he thought, and as he abandoned his attempt against Hibiki and relocated himself with a Sonído, he sniffed the air once more.

Pain shot through his head nearly the second he did so, the effects of his rational side, the side who cared for Sakuya, trying to overtake the mindless beast that was controlling him. As the pain continued to flow throughout his head, he took it in two clawed hands and let out a scream of rage and confusion as the two sides of him battled it out. Then, his mind suddenly painted a picture for him; he was looking out of his own eyes, but not from the present time and instead about an hour ago. He could see Sakuya beneath him, wearing a tender smile, and he could see his own hands on either side of her shoulders, gripping the bed sheets. Sakuya, that was what he was forgetting; he somehow cared for her. Snapping out of his murderous rage, the Sephira vanished on the spot, not giving another thought to his opponent and darted across the Seireitei as fast as his feet could carry him. He arrived just in the nick of time, and by putting himself between Sakuya and Kōdo, he took the preliminary wave head on, which collided with his Hierro and dispersed, and then opened both of his hands to catch the moving blade without getting cut. Unfortunately for him, Kōdo's strength proved to be too overwhelming, and after his fingers slowed the blade down, the blade continued on to slice open his palms to the bone.

Ignoring the inconvenience, Zenos used the split second that it would take for Kōdo to rebound from that to aim a kick to his chest, and then turn around to gather Sakuya in his arms without bothering to say a word. He was gone just as quickly as he had left, taking the female Sephira with him as he traveled further and further away from the fighting. It was now that he understood what Ori's blood meant, it meant that he had taken significant damage; that his opponent had proved to be too powerful. That was it --he told himself-- they had lost this fight. There was absolutely no point in sticking around for Ori to die, so Zenos chose to leave with Sakuya since he didn't want to see her hurt. It was now that he also understood what the wave that he had felt before meant; that he could not use Garganta in here anymore. Luckily, he knew where he could use one, since he had about a year and a half to check out the Rukongai. Nearing the massive gate in the wall, Zenos spotted the smaller door built into it and after approaching it, barreled straight through it without a second thought. As soon as he was outside, he made for the rooftops of the huts closest to him, and then moved Sakuya in one hand before raising his free hand and snapping his fingers. Several feet ahead of them a Garganta ripped open, and seconds later he was inside it, only coming to a full halt after it had snapped shut behind him.

...and thus the world is petrified.

Jūnibantai Fukutaichō

Tearing her attention away from her partner, Tsukiko glanced to the side at Tetsunosuke who had not heeded her words. Barely a minute had passed since she had yelled at him for being such an idiot, and yet he was already returning the favor. It was a mistake in the first place to talk back to her like that; she had a short temper. It was a mistake in itself to interrupt her while she was with Elisia and then ask her a question, seeing as she had clearly directed the girl away from the area. But the thing that really irked her was Tetsunosuke's sarcastic remark regarding her father's level of intelligence, despite the fact that she had clearly asked him not to do it again. Something in her snapped, and in an instant her hand was raised, palm outward and the sound of a laser being fired would be heard at the same time a beam of light would whiz past Tetsunosuke's head and singe a few hairs from his scalp. It was a warning shot, no more, no less. Once more her anger surged, rushing forth like an unstoppable wave of force, causing her to turn her head and cast him an expressionless look that masked her frustration. It was only Elisia's presence that turned what would have been a highly aggressive retort into a sarcasm-filled response. "Arrogant indeed." She began while lowering her hand, which was emitting smoke from the patch of skin that had been burned away to let the iodine laser through, she turned her body completely towards him, keeping the fact that he was complaining about following orders in the forefront of her mind. "Arrogant enough to act like your problems are more important than the lives at stake during this war; arrogant enough to believe I give a damn about the trifles of commoners."

This statement wasn't entirely true, actually, she did care about people that were not nobility, but for the moment she couldn't afford to show any form of "weakness." "By all means, please continue to wallow in self pity where you will soon enter a self-destructive rage spiral whereupon no sort of sense can reach you. Not that it does now, of course." For a second, she tossed back her hair before continuing. "Otherwise you wouldn't bother waving how you obey orders in my face like a damn trophy. What? You want a ******** cookie for doing your job, little man? I'm rich as hell, I'll buy you a damn cookie if you'll shut up. Stop complaining, honestly. I'm going to die long after my wife, yet I can deal with that, so I think you can cope with a damn Hollow that you're not even going to have much longer. "Try to figure something out", right, like daddy hadn't already solved this problem long ago." After giving Elisia a gentle squeeze on her upper arm, she shook her head while walking away, uttering her final line to him. "And otherwise, you wouldn't throw your rank at me either. I'm above you, commoner; know your place." And with this, she was gone, relocating herself to where Nu and Arian were fighting. She soon appeared near them, and without wasting any time, she retrieved her secondary weapon from her hip and ignited the blade by thumbing the button on its handle. Just as soon as the blade extended from the handle and Nu moved to punch Arian, Tsukiko disappeared from sight and moved to Arian's side to lop off his arm with a flick of her wrist.

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

Elisia bobbed her head up and down, clearly relieved that her healing seemed to be working quite well. “That’s good, but just in case, I don’t think strenuous exercise or fighting would be too good for the wounds, so I’d advise that perhaps resting for the meantime might be the bes--” Her jaw dropped in shock and she was abruptly cut short as he was suddenly pushed backwards, having been flicked by her wife. After catching a brief glimpse of Tsukiko’s expression, she promptly dismissed any idea about trying to calm the girl down, since that would only serve to infuriate her further. Lee’s retort hardly helped the situation and she was about to intervene in spite of her doubts when she was flooded with a sudden burst of light as the darkness vanished. Blinking as her eyesight slowly shifted back to normal, the first thing she saw was Tetsunosuke and another one of his enemies. She peered at him, only able to discern a form as her eyes cleared. “Jacques?” Her question hovered in the air, a confused tone filling her words as she wondered exactly why Tetsunosuke had taken it upon himself to capture one of the enemies and bring him here.

All questions fled from her mind, as the Sephira shattered his bonds, which had been apparently not strong enough, before moving next to the female enemy. Knowing that she was too late to do anything, she instead prepared a defence, in case an attack might go astray and hit her or Hideki. However, she was unable to hide her surprise at Jacques expressing his gratitude towards Tetsunosuke for allowing both of them to live, as she had thought that the Captain Commander had been pretty firm on not being lenient to their opponents. Either way, this was not going to sit well with the others of the Gotei 13, if they heard of this. As they disappeared back into Hueco Mundo, she hovered nervously in the background, waiting for the inevitable explosion to occur from either one of the others. Lee was the first one to burst out at Tetsunosuke, rebuking him for letting the enemy go as they could come back and cause future troubles. Inhaling sharply, she closed her eyes, counting down the seconds to a retort or response to that and wistfully hoping that it perhaps might not come.

It did arrive after all and arrive in a fashion that completely blew her away as per usual. All she could manage was a short and high-pitched “Eep” as she watched with horror, transfixed at the sight of the full extent of her wife’s anger bursting. From memory, the last time she had seen the girl like this had also been when she had been riled up by Lee about the whole Hollowfication process. Next time, she’d have to make sure that she kept both of them very, very, very far apart to prevent something like this happening again. Struck dumb and unable to move, she watched helplessly as she girl drove Lee’s head into the ground, a most daring move on her part, especially if one considered the fact that she was a Lieutenant and he was a Captain. Thinking that it had gone for long enough, she gently lowered Hideki’s body on the ground, whipping off her Captain’s Haori and using it as a substitute for a pillow, before glancing up at the girl again. Luckily enough, her interference was not necessary as it seemed it was pretty over with Lee and if everything went to plan, there would be no problem with Tetsunosuke.

As her wife approached her before showing an unexpected display of affection in complete contrast to the rage, she recovered just enough to clumsily pat her wife’s head and give her a quick peck on the cheek. Feeling a little guilty about the fact that she was unable to totally display her love with others around, her guilt increased several folds over as she realized that she had made her wife worry. The need for a solace overwhelmed her and she buried her head in Tsukiko’s shoulder, the familiar feel and presence making her at ease and isolating her from the reality that was lurking in the background. “Sorry…I won’t do it again…I’ll be fine in a bit, just need some time…sorry…Tsuki…” she mumbled under her breath. She was soon jolted out of her depression by Tetsunosuke’s shouting as well as one question that was directed to her. Lifting her head up, she blearily glanced at him, his words slowly sinking into her mind. As it completely registered, she leapt to attention, whirling around to try to stop her wife from making any hasty decision under the circumstances. Not quick enough to stop the first attack, she winced as the laser passed so near his head, lightly placing her hand on Tsukiko’s wrist to stop her from harming him any further. Standing as merely a spectator, she did not attempt to stop the words that came bursting out from her wife, knowing that it would be best if all the fury and tension were rid of this way and frankly, as long as there wasn’t anybody getting injured, it wasn’t that big of a deal. Letting out a heavy sigh as Tsukiko finished, she summoned a small smile to return the girl’s squeeze as she walked away to deal with other things.

She knelt down next to Hideki to check his vitals once more and search for any signs of life, before casting a Hoyoku no Jōmon to protect him. Walking to Tetsunosuke, she cast an Iyashi to alleviate the pain before using a combination of Keikatsu and Shōshaku as well as her own blood in Bankai to heal his wounds. As she worked, she softly answered his previous question, “Sotaichō, the other Hakase-Taichō, Nu, Hibiki, Eriko and a Lieutenant I’m not familiar with, were fighting the Sephira from when I last saw them.” She transferred some of her blood over to him through a new cut on his skin before continuing sternly, guessing his intentions, “But you must be completely mad if you think I’m going to let you go out there in this state, alright?” She looked up at him with a grim expression, her eyes firm, “You’ll just get yourself killed, so just look after yourself and take it easy for a little bit. The same to you, Masashi-Taichō. Both of you aren’t going to fight anymore in this battle, I mean it.”

Kenpachi Kōdo

11th Division Captain

"Tch, everyone is gone." The towering man sauntered nearby all of the commotion involving several people he had no desire to get to know. He had made his way over there since his opponent had been taken away from him by some freakshow who got cut and then kicked him in the chest. Koudo had barely moved from it, but he was in the dumps now that he had no one to fight. He could still feel two Sephira Reiatsu in the Seireitei, but one was being dealt with by the Captain Commander and the other one felt too weak. "All the good fighters are dead or gone. What a drag..." Standing tall, Koudo exhaled a yawn and scratched his chest just below the gaping hole above his sternum that was leaking blood at an alarming rate. However, he didn't appear bothered by it at all.

He moved himself to the pile of rubble and, paying no attention to the others, sat himself on the very top. He did not bother to return his blood-stained sword to it's sheath, but instead set it down next to him as he put his arms over his thighs and let out another yawn before staring across the Seireitei and nothing in particular. For the moment, there was a dull pain in his chest, the result of his internal organs being burst, but it was nothing he was concerning himself with. If left to his own vices, he would sooner sit there until his chest turned purple like a bruise and he passed out before he would get up and ask that timid little girl to fix him. Maybe later, he thought, but not now. Now was time for napping. After a moment, he flopped back onto his back and shut his eyes, drifting off into a light sleep.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taichō

"I cannot stand who I am, I'm this man. With this blood on my hands, in this blood I am damned. So watch my wings burn as they burn in the fire. Don't scatter the ashes, no need for the choir."

Lee closed his eyes trying to reel in his anger towards Tetsunosuke as the man replied defending his actions. Of course the man had to do so in a rude way, and just like Tsukiko and Neida before him, the man had to then proceed to take a personal stab at him and insult him. Wanting nothing more than to retaliate towards the man, he was caught completely off guard by Tsukiko, and abruptly pushed into the ground by her foot on his head. Given his current level of fatigue and Tsukiko's level of strength he couldn't have gotten up even if he felt like it. Instead he was forced to let the Lieutenant have her own shot at Tetsunosuke. Of course in her anger she was pushing him further into the ground the more time went on. Feeling her foot being lifted off him, Lee rose up slowly having to make an effort not to retaliate in some manner. Why the hell was he suddenly the focus of physical assault from the woman? The entire situation just served to remind Lee of Hei driving his hand into his chest upon his hollowfication. Needless to say that the brush with death was not a happy memory by an stretch of the imagination. Seeing Tsukiko approach Elisia he decided to let them have their time together and just drop it for the moment. Still he was not at all happy about the situation considering he had never got physical with a member of the woman's family for no reason good reason. Letting out a deep breath he appeared the epitome of calm until Tetsunosuke had to remind him that the Vizard was still very much present.

Listening to the man's words towards Tsukiko Lee rolled his eyes at him curious as to what Tsukiko planned to do. Stepping back and lowering himself onto some rubble Lee closed his eyes and listened as Tsukiko's laser fired. Opening one eye to make sure she did not attempt to kill the man, Lee returned it to being closed the moment he noticed it had not even hit the man. Sighing as he listened to Tsukiko retort back to the Vizard speaking in a way that was certainly fitting of a noble. Blocking most of the noble woman's speech out, Lee did not fail to notice her leaving. Reopening his eyes to peer at Tetsunosuke he figured he would say something else to the man, though do so in a much calmer way. "You claimed back in the human world that no one trusted you, however how do you expect anybody to trust you when you obviously do not trust anybody else? You say you did not let him go on purpose? Fine I am willing to believe that. However it does not change the fact that, because of your actions, two Sephira escaped to perhaps return sometime later. Also how could you possibly not know that he could break a level sixty bakudō, if you were the one fighting him? Oh and to respond to your little attempt at a put down earlier, my opponent was stronger than yours and considering I could even hold my own against her without being a vizard should say plenty. Had the fight not been interfered I could have killed her, though it probably would have cost my own life in the process. Whereas you could not kill your opponent as a vizard and with him being weaker. So don't talk down to me." Sighing Lee listened to Elisia, giving the woman a nod of his head as she spoke of them not going to help any of those still fighting.

Lee had no intention of leaving to help any of those present considering he was quite fatigued. He had made preparations to use the strongest hadō and now it was unneeded. To waste such reiryoku was not something he enjoyed doing. Still considering by what he could feel, the only ones currently battling were Hei and Yuki against Ori, and Nu and the newly arrived Tsukiko and Arian. With Tsukiko assisting her given how long the battle had already been going on, then Nu shouldn't require his assistance. Still if she had need of it he would have made haste over to her no matter his condition. "You have my word Elisia-san, that unless I am absolutely needed, I will stay out of the rest of the fights. I am in no condition to try and battle another opponent. I am going to take my leave before I am subjected to anymore arguing, I have had enough for now. Goodbye Elisia-san. Take care of yourself and Hideki-taichō, and feel free to contact me if you have any need of assistance. Goodbye to you as well Harasawa-taichō." After saying goodbye, Lee used shunpo to leave the immediate area, unsure of his final destination. Though the longer he went the more clear it became that his destination was his old office. He had not been able to give it a good once over upon arrival, and now was the perfect time to see the extent of the damage.

Hod Sephira
=========================================== Arian Aes ===========================================

User ImageAnd the flames left the pitiful earth
Filled with ash it lay scorched and dead

Hosing down everything in front of him with a torrent of hellfire, Arian spared nothing in his wake, reducing even the once loftiest towers to mere smoldering piles of ash and half-melted debris, the stone had either turned into lava or combusted in the extreme heat and the steel had been liquefied into dark silver pools of steel and iron. So caught up in pure animalistic rage was Arian that he failed to notice Nu’s silhouette as it leapt out of a building before it was toasted inside and out. Continuing his blind assault upon Seiretei’s structural integrity, Arian was unaware of Nu’s strategic relocation high above him, until it was too late.

Though his assault was far from over, Arian suddenly found his upper jaw forcefully coming down upon his lower jaw, snapping his mouth shut as Nu’s Raimei Bakuha came crashing down upon his head. The torrent of fire suddenly ceased as a shockwave echoed from the point of impact, creating minor cracks in the ground where Arian’s head was brought down. But, at his current form Arian’s defense was simply superior to Nu’s previous attack. And though the Sephira was paralyzed due to the electric nature of the attack, he was far from defeated. Unfortunately for Arian, however, his troubles didn’t end there.

From the corner of his eyes Arian caught sight of a bright beam of light, slicing through the air before effectively cutting off his entire left arm in a single motion. The pain was relatively minimal, as Arian was capable of enduring utter impalement. However, the shock of something actually cutting through his reinforced carapace was nothing short of shocking for the Sephira. The paralysis having faded by now, Arian let out a fierce roar as well as an immense surge of spiritual pressure to push back both of his opponents away from him, regardless of weight or strength as the infernal beast stood back up, staring down his opponents as his regeneration started to kick in, Arian’s intellect emerged long enough for him to perform a wide scan of the area using his Pesquisa.

Once the sonar-like scan was finished, Arian realized why Tsukiko suddenly appeared to aid Nu, as opposed to her arriving earlier, or aiding the others. It was simple, early on no one could send Nu back-up as they were all busy confronting their own opponents, now however, it seems that they had already finished their battles and came out as the victor. This was the most Arian could infer from the situation as he wasn’t aware Tsukiko wasn’t originally with them. Lowering his head, Arian’s rasp breathing suddenly ceased as an unexpected voice echoed from underneath the red-hot carapace ”Jacques, Neida… glad you’re alright.” came Arian’s voice, smooth and human unlike his previous words before activating his Segunda ”Zenos… no, I doubt you’re going to stick around for much longer, same goes for Sakuya, huh?” he continued, as his raw spiritual pressure prevented anything from approaching him ”That just leaves me and Ori, heh.” without warning, Arian then arched his back, letting out a deafening roar that could be heard even across Rukongai, the howl was soon followed by a sudden explosion from Arian, giving birth to a pillar of fire that seemed to scorch the very sky as it rose up. In a heartbeat, another explosion occurred, before another pillar erupted from the ground, this time wider than the last one as it consumed the previous one to strengthen itself. This eruption continued on for a full seven seconds until the entire area was bathed in red-hot flames, capable of melting even the strongest alloy and hiding Arian from sight behind a curtain of seemingly unending flames born from the depths of hell itself.

Akane Itsuki, Third Seat of Division Three

User Image
Akane had finally made it to where Tetsunosuke was located. He noticed Jacques had gone, and figured Jacques had come up with something to get himself out of the mess. Akane walks to Tetsu and still holds Suzu, "The Sephira escaped, then? That's not surprising.." He looks to Tetsu and makes a strange face. "Oh, crap, no, I don't mean it to sound like that, Captain Harasawa.. I mean, that, that man was very cunning. He was smart on how to use that shell of his, so it's no surprise he could form an escape plan in those few minutes he had. He had since the time he asked for lenience and was being bound, until he was able to come here." Akane looks around and uses his sensory to see what is going on.

Akane kept Suzume close and sighed, "Tetsunosuke.. when we take back our home, I ask you to do something for me. I want to ask that you help train me, so I may become a Captain one day. I don't want to be weak, I want more power, more strength, and to be able to better protect those around me. As a Third Seat, I can't protect many, not even Suzu.. I want to be able to protect everyone when asked of me, so I may always help when needed."

Jūnibantai Fukutaichō

"Tch, I was hoping I had been wrong." Tsukiko slid her foot back long before she would have to meet Arian's pressure and relocated herself with Shunpo as she rued the fact that one of her analyzed outcomes had been right; he did have High-Speed Regeneration. Even though she could calculate causality and prepare for the outcomes, it was not fun when the least desirable one turned out to be right. The corner of her mouth twitched in annoyance as she heard Arian speak of Jacques and Neida. Hearing the two names only made her think about Tetsunosuke, which only served to annoy her again even though she had yet to get over it. Still, she had pushed it into the back of her mind and didn't enjoy being reminded of his insolence and stupidity. His explosion and sea of flames came next, and while it was true they were formidable, they were not enough to deter her or bother her for she already had her plan in mind. Tsukiko wore a blank expression on her face, which quickly melted away as her secondary weapon, various accessories, clothes, skin, hair, and eyeballs were vaporized by the heat of the flames surrounding her, leaving her a bare, metallic skeleton with no ability for expressions.

She could readily feel his Reiatsu and could sense the heat effect it brought, but the electrical field surrounding her prevented the paralysis of her limbs. "Futile. You don't scare me." Her voice came mechanical without the filter that was built into her lips, and as the inferno continued to rage, her Bankai's activation plunged the surrounding area into night as a swirling shield-like membrane of black stretch around them. Seconds later, she repeated the same technique she had used to thwart Neida, however this time she used significantly less power, which was all that was needed. Instantly, even though no words had been spoken, the flames vanished; vanquished by Tsukiko separating their fuel into the atmosphere by widening the voids between the oxygen and the flames themselves. "Sorry, had to do it." She said, releasing Hirakutsuki effects which sent a minor burst of matter back towards Arian from all directions. "Listen, Mitsuru-taichō, I'm not sure how flashy a ninja can be, but I'm going to need you to at least try, okay? Mkay." In reality, clearing the flames meant nothing to her; Tsukiko could have found Arian with her eyes off, but Nu couldn't and she needed a distraction from the girl so she had to fix her handicap.

"Mugetsu." For a brief moment, Kōgetsu appeared in her hand before she shifted it to the new moon phase, causing both her and the cute little moon to disappear on both a level that left her only detectable by touch. It was up in the air where she was at this point, but it wasn't until she appeared behind Arian and drove both of her balled fists into his back several seconds later that she would be found. "Sōkotsu." She said sternly -even though she could only be heard by herself-, aiming the powerful, two-handed punch to the Sephira's back, intent on blowing a large hole into his torso, inclusive of his chest cavity by completely bypassing his Hierro that she had noticed was formidable. Mugetsu would unravel a few seconds later, only after the hit would land, and in the event there was some sort of backlash to her attack, she had already prepared to use Oboro. Likewise, should he attempt to explode in a blaze of glory like his body her some kind of nuke, she had a contingency plan for that, although she hoped beyond all hope she didn't have to resort to it; Elisia would not approve.

Even as her attack connected, she could still feel that he had plenty of fight left to give out. As soon as his head connected with the tough ground, she retreated a few feet back, her paralysis would only affect him for so long. Fortunately for her, it seemed help had arrived, in the form of Elisia's significant other and daughter of Hei; Tsukiko. Brandishing a weapon she could only describe as futuristic, it seemed to cut through his hierro like hot butter. Still, that only seemed to annoy him as he let out an intense surge of spiritual energy, making the Captain question when does he ever stop fighting. Mitsuru was on the last reigns of strength, enough to get by, but certainly she was starting to feel the full fatigue this battle was doing to her. In contrast to this, Arian was still going strong, sending giant pillars and explosions of fire to surround her, only for them to vanish just as abruptly as they arrived, thanks to Tsukiko's bankai.

"Very well then." She knew it better to diverge from a plan formed by a Hakase, and in these conditions, Tsukiko is a better suited opponent for this behemoth then her. Watching as Tsukiko seemingly disappear, she could only obey her single order to be a distraction, by charging headfirst into the beast. Keeping her body low, her metallic arm was dragging against the ground, and as soon as she raised it, fiery beasts soon came to life to run with her. The two beasts were very much similar to the ones she used earlier in their battle, and their purpose would be the same, to try to pin Arian in place with their jaws. By now, as hot as they are, they wouldn't do much in terms of hurting him, but she wasn't going to be the one to hurt him. "Raikōhō" To be even more of a flashy target, her free hand shot out a massive yellow beam in full sight of Arian, as she finally found Tsukiko again, in a stance she recognized and found surprising that she was doing it, though it would be most effective if it connects like she hopes it would. With Tsukiko here, she felt a tad safer, though not allowing it to override her safety precautions. Though she didn't doubt Tsukiko coming up with backup plans in case Arian retaliates, Mitsuru makes a mental note to run as fast as she can if something goes wrong. Still, the feeling that someone has one's back was a relief to her.

User ImageThe young Captain continued to twist and turn violently against her pains as well as the flat nature of the mattress on she was lying. As she moved, her body continued leaking perspiration through its pores and her persistent crying was not helping either. Her screams became quiet with her lips only moving a few inches as she mumbled incoherently to herself. Cho was to the point of breaking her back with healing supplies when Shiruba began to move closer to her master. She was about to dissuade him from the action completely but the youthful man had already taken his position was pressing a gauntlet of light against Eriko's forehead gently. The warmth, that was emitted from it, did not have an immediate effect but slowly, Eriko seemed to silence her arms, her legs and her mouth was hardly moving. Unfortunately, all of these benefits were discarded in a flash when Shiruba began speaking to her about resting. The spirit could understand this. She did not trust men, even more so now, so the last thing that she wants to her is soothing words and advice from anything that is not female. While Eriko resumed her fidgeting, Cho placed all of her load onto a nearby counter except for a blanket and strode over to the pair. "Keep talking to her," she instructed Shiruba, walking up Eriko's form, pulling the blanket over it until she was able to sit below Eriko's waist. From this position, she kneeled over the struggling woman as best as she could. "Look at me, Akiyama." Her voice was stern as a gentle yet strong wind appeared in the room to wrap itself around Eriko, starting from her forehead so that the warm energy from the gauntlet could stretch to other bodily areas as well. With the winds moving, the blanket was tucked in underneath to provide even more warmth as well as security on her body. She needed to feel that she was secure. "Akiyama, open your eyes." During all of this fretting, Eriko's eyes had been closed tightly. Now, though, she was beginning to feel a sense of relaxation. She wanted to cry still but it was more for release than as an actual act of frustration. With the heated breeze moving against her skin, she could not help but take in gratefully the ease to her limbs that it provided. However, it would be almost a minute before her eyelids fluttered open to reveal her reddened eyeballs.

"Cho?" she whispered tentatively, looking up into the other female's orbs, "What happened?" She tried to move but found that her motion was restricted by a blanket as well as the straddling form of her Zanpakuto spirit. Cho twisted her lips into a twisted, sad, small smile and lowered her head to graze Akiyama's cheek with her lips. "It does not matter. All we need is that you stay calm and everything else will be handled accordingly." At the mention of 'we', Eriko's eyes shifted to see Shiruba's hand on her forehead. Her body stiffened instantly but when she realized that the warm, fuzzy feeling was coming from the hand directly, her nerves relaxed and she managed to whisper a word or two of gratitude. Physically, she was feeling much better but not enough to train as yet. Emotionally, the state had changed from complete disorientation, it would seem, to acceptance of the circumstances presented to her. Everything was not where it should be quite yet. "Alright, Cho. You can get off of me now. I will try not to lapse or whatever it is that I did." She adjusted herself as the spirit obeyed, raising her head slightly. Whatever breeze that had been blowing had ceased and her blanket felt terribly soaked. Steadily, she pushed herself into a sitting postion, groaning until the task had been completed fully. "So, Fukutaicho, would you like to fill me in on what transpired exactly after I," she made quotation marks with her fingers, "left, please?" She offered him an easy smile and could hear Cho giggling at her side. She knew the spirit had already returned to the confines of her sword as well as that anything that resembled her Bankai was long gone. She sat there in her Haori and burnt hair, waiting for the young man's response.

Shiruba Uingusu, 11th Division Lieutenant
シルバーウイング、第11部中尉

User Image Shiruba slowly relaxed as he saw that she progressively got better, soon no longer needing to use his tactic to help her fight her nightmares, so he withdrew his hand and let the form dissipate, returning to the sheath it once rested within, only now Tsuyatsuya did not appear, tired from all that they had been through today...

Carefully he sat down on the bed beside her and Cho, his expression one of slight fatigue, the battle starting to weigh on him now. He hadn't fought like that since he was a student, and certainly being in the ranks of the Samurai or the Shinobi was not nearly as taxing, his slouching manner evident of his pains...

"We were able to defeat the Sephira..." Shiruba began, "He was a very tough opponent and a very unrelenting one. Whatever wounds we seemed to inflict on him he just seemed to ignore or quickly heal from. I was able to weaken him with Tsuyatsuya's abilities until Cho realized that victory was not going to come easy..."

He grimly chuckled, remembering the anger he felt when things went from bad to worse from their lovable Captain Commander's actions, "This became especially true when Hakase summoned her Bankai and made life more difficult for us. Thankfully Cho wasn't affected as badly as I was and destroyed him with your greatest attack, obliterating him...barely without a trace..."

Shiruba let it hang there for a moment to gauge her reactions to all this information; for obvious reasons, he left out the part of him finding the mask fragment and keeping it for reasons he didn't quite fathom yet and decided it was best that a Captain shouldn't know of it.

After watching her for a moment, he then continued, "I was...scared for you. I thought you had...but you're better now. That's what's important. At Cho's behest, I brought you here so you can recuperate far away from the battles still taking place..." He hoped his explanation would be enough for Eriko. He knew her pride was a deadly thing, but he hoped sincerely that she would take things easy, knowing that her body was beyond any kind of combat at this point in time...

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

She sealed up the last of Tetsunosuke’s wounds, taking a little longer than usual due to her half-distracted mind, which decided to leap to random thoughts halfway through her work. Struggling to stay focused, she had only heard a small portion of Lee’s statement to Tetsunosuke. The only source of comfort from that was the fact that his rage had been quelled somewhat and at least, it did not seem like a fight would break out between any of the Shinigami at the moment. Everybody, as she knew well, would be suffering from fatigue and injuries, which would only serve to increase any tension that was between even two allies, so they were treading on dangerous ground here. “I will see you later, Masashi-Taichō, and thank you for your offer of help, but you should concern yourself with your own matters, I am sure that I will be able to deal with mine.” was her immediate reply to his farewells and she managed a quick inclination of her head in a gesture of gratitude.

The appearance of Akane dragged a reluctant Elisia out of her musings and she glanced at the other Suzume, her heart tightening as she remembered her sister’s battered body and everything the girl had endured. Lingering a little longer than she intended, she kept her lips sealed as he requested for Tetsunosuke’s help to train. As it was a feeling that she knew too well, she barely restrained herself from trying to comfort him, as it was neither the time nor the place to do it in and there were other urgent matters that needed to be dealt with. Instead, she absentmindedly patted Tetsunosuke’s arm, as she told him, “I must go now, there are still others that would need to be healed and there is little time to spare. I cannot carry Hideki with me and I understand that you have things to discuss with Akane here, so I beg you to look after Hideki for me. The barrier should protect him but in case of anything, please guard him.” Shooting a quick look to Hideki’s body, she forced her gaze to instead fall on Akane, who had the unfortunate luck to suffer a death so early on, “I wish you luck with whatever course you choose, but be careful in what you decide on in the end. I’m sorry about Suzume…I should have been there to save her.”

Having said this, she took off, sweeping through the grounds in pursuit of anyone that was needing her help. One place she avoided was where Tsukiko had went, as a massive pillar of fire had shot up there, indicating a battle, which she did not want to become entangled in. Not only that, but she had faith that her wife would be able to manage herself, as the girl had proved so many times over. Screeching to a sudden halt, she found herself next to a body entirely covered by blood. At first glance, he seemed dead, but as she approached nearer, it looked more as if he was asleep or unconscious. Who was he? Racking her memory for his face, she came up with absolutely nothing to match him. His presence was more like a Shinigami’s than a Sephira and she doubted that an enemy would left himself defenceless in this manner. That being said, she thought that a Shinigami would hardly do that as well, but he would have to be one of the two. Repressing an irritated sigh at the lack of care, she stood a decent distance away, not wanting to be attacked halfway through her healing, and cast a Zenji over him to heal his wounds. Unsure of whether or not he could hear her, she tentatively approached him, before clicking her fingers in front of his face to check his reaction.

Tetsunosuke Harasawa

Sixth Division's Captain

User Image

Tetsu knew in the back of his head that disturbing Tsuki in anyway -- when she was dealing with Elisia -- wasn't the best of choices for him to make. Furthering his aggravation to the Hakase family was the beam she fired next from her gynoid frame. He didn't move or even blink after the laser whirled over his head and damaged his hair. The split ends could be discounted, but the disdain was something he could never turn a blind eye to. Grinding his teeth so he wouldn't further cause himself trouble; he clenched his hands while doing this. Rage filled thoughts were all that flooded his brain at the moment -- thoughts of drawing his sword to the noble and coming up with the best solution to just cut her down. Turning his sight away from her to try and cast the thoughts away, he drew his gaze on Elisia, whom was almost always caring and kind to everyone. Releasing a sigh, he just let her continue her rampage of words. Tsukiko's words dug deep into him; he had been selfish and he had been uncaring. Perhaps his actions of bringing Jacques there wasn't the best, but it was never his intent to allow the Arrancar to obtain freedom.

Finally just saying to himself, "her ignorance toward me is her own foolery," he just didn't what she had to say to him now. In fact, he bore a genuine smile after she was done with her rant. With her image finally disappearing from their location, he couldn't help feel slightly incline to not care where she was. Tetsunosuke was surprised to see Elisia tending to his wounds, while it was her duty to do so; if he had been in her place, he might have been inclined to do nothing for the one who had previously said snaking words to his family. "Oh, I see..." He said softly while feeling embarrassed to have her healing what wounds he had. Mostly just being fatigued from using the Mask and his bankai, he watched as she used her adroitness in healing. "No, I actually thought it'd be a rational decision." Tetsu murmured, keeping what he truly thought secret. Her grim expression would halt his words, he could tell she didn't want anyone to die, and knew she'd seen enough of that today. "Unless, by some chance..." referring to feel of Reiatsu that was coming from Ori, and the now nonexistent feel of Sakuya's and Zenos'. "those Arrancar left to retrieve back up, I hope we won't be further needed."

Hearing Lee's words, he spared him a look of withdrawn annoyance. Before he could make a response though, Akane had arrived and was speaking. Turning his vision to him now, he listened to what he said. "I suppose you make an acute observation, Akane. But that still doesn't excuse my inability to seize his life, nor allow him to escape because of that inability." He looked over back to Lee with the same look. "But yet, you still failed at killing her; even though you're supposedly superior. Jacques was my natural, one could describe it. Just because I am a Vizard, it doesn't mean I am instantly capable of cutting through a dense armor that you yourself could not cut through." Tetsunosuke rolled his eyes as he walked away from Elisia after she healed him. "Akane," He said while walking toward the Shinigami. "you'd be wiser finding someone else to train you... I am the less capable of protecting anything." Tetsu said with a solemn tone. He steps were toward Hideki as she just spoke to him about the man. Simply nodding to her as he left, he would watch over the Vizard in her stead. Finding a place on the ground that looked suitable to be seated on, he pulled his sword from his hip as he dropped down above the man's head. Tetsu looked over to Akane as he held Suzume in her arms. "I feel inclined to apologize for not grasping vengeance."
