Amaya immediantly noticed his... toothlessness. But she didn't say anything about it yet.
"Out?" The girl repeated. The last thing on her mind was that Alec was asking her out on a date, so she just shrugged and gave a headbob. "Sure, where to?" She figured he might of had another party or something planned.
"So Moreau let you back into your duplex?" Amaya inquired as she shut her door behind her - minding the five-foot-long tail.

Alec would've hooted at his successful endeavor, naively figuring his job was done now. Now he could safely approach Zach and say that he'd 'gone out' with Amaya, it was a brilliant move on his part.
Regardless of how misinformed either of them were, the boy was genuinely glad for some activity that took him away from his duplex for most of the night. "Meh, 'ee mus'f jag me back, a' woke up deh." He shrugged and moved aside so that Amaya could join him as he began a bold trek into the dark jungle. "Cliffs." He retorted to her first question, though unfortunatly the salive he'd been trying to avoid spilling ended up escaping on the last spoken syllable. Sighing inwardly and predicting a very annoying evening because of it, he merely pulled out a bandanna and wiped off his chin. Since she hadn't commented on the obvious yet, he figured she must've not realized yet and made an effort to conceal his folly.

"Well that's good, he must have gotten tired of bothering you..." She trailed off before adding. "Or figured out a better way to get revenge. I'm guessing he did the-..." Her sentence broke off as she gestured to her mouth. Amaya couldn't think of any other reason why ALL of Alec's teeth would be gone.
She followed after him, her pace a little slower then usual due to the cold.

"Meh." Alec agreed again, mentally forcing himself to at least be gentleman enough to awkwardly fall into pace with the iguana girl and not leave her behind in the dark. "Mime th'spi'. A'll shry no' teh shplatteh." The irish kid muttered the warning. Of all people he'd accidently spit on already, Amaya was just about the last person he'd hoped to 'attack', date or no date. A shower would probably be at the top of the list of date-killers though, come to think of it.
All this precautionary thinking wasn't helping Alec's nerves much, confused as he was to begin with. He kept telling himself this wasn't a date and only a nightly jaunt like the pair had often taken to cause somesort of trouble or amuse themselves in some other way. What the hell do I do now? Hold her hand? Do I hold her hand or something? I'm going to hurl, this is rediculous. The thoughts nagged him and eventually he abruptly turned, in a swift motion he caught Amaya's hand as she walked and did everything short of dragging her along as the ground began to get steeper underfoot. "So, ye pin to th'cliffsh, righ'? S'nice." What else was he supposed to say now?

"S'alright, it's not your fault." Amaya said, walking along in silence.
... Or at least until her hand was abruptly grabbed and she was hoisted along - her mind barely registered his words afterward. She blinked and stared down at their hands for a moment, her head cocked to the side.
Why had he just grabbed her hand? Was this... a... date?
The teens heart did a little loop. "Ah. Yeah." She managed to mumble out, her yellow eyes looking over at him.
Did he really...?

After her little "date" with Alec, the lizard girl had mostly just stayed inside her duplex, only venturing out to bask and eat. There were very few things you could do when you lost the ability to cry.
He didn't love her.
Hours were spent sobbing dryly into her pillow, sulking around her duplex, and generally feeling sorry for herself.
No one would ever love her. Why would they? She was a monster. A hideous... thing.
She was seeing less and less of a reason to even stick around.

On her way back to her duplex from her little meeting with... what was his name, Gaius? The lizard girl walked silently back to her duplex, still wallowing in her own self-pity. She barely even saw the note clipped to her door when she went to open it, only spotting it out of the corner of her eye halfway inside her room.
She backstepped a moment and reached up to pull it off. Her large, pink tongue flickered and Amaya pivoted her head to read it:Quote: As most of you already know, and those of you who have been Calender-less for a while do now, Halloween is swiftly approaching! I don't know about you guys, but Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday of the year, and in the spirit of the holiday we will be throwing a Halloween Party. For those of you who were with us last year, you are familiar with the procedure, for all the rest of you new, smiling faces, a tent will be set up on the western outskirts of the Village. There will be drinks, refreshments, music, and atmosphere! If you would like a costume for the event, you can either order one through the labs (press 0 on the intercom) and we'll be happy to order one in your size, anything within reason. Otherwise, of course you're welcome to make one yourself. Happy Haunting! ~ Dr. Duvert Indeed, Halloween was her favorite holiday as well... but this year the teenager just couldn't see herself even putting forth the effort to go. She swallowed and walked inside her duplex where the note was crumpled up and thrown into the trash. Afterwards she flopped onto her sheet-less mattress and curled up into a scaley green ball.
It wasn't like she could eat or drink any of the treats there, or had anyone to dance with... and now she had ruined the only best friend she had with confessing her feelings. She had no one to go with, no one to dance with, and she doubted she could even wear a costume anymore.
It was pointless even getting up out of bed.
Amaya grabbed her pillow and shoved it over her reptilian face, sniffling into the fabric.

After getting something to eat the green iguana went back to her duplex and thought about the Halloween party. She really hoped that Marshall would keep to his word and escourt her there... Amaya really didn't want to go alone. Even if she had just met him it was better than going with no one.
After awhile of thinking and rough doodling she came up with a costume. She had never been one for very "girly" costumes. With her sketch in hand she walked up to her intercom and pressed 0 to tell the woman at the front desk what she wanted.
... She also ordered a number of dresses to fit her rather odd build. Amaya was tired of people being confused what gender she was and walking around naked.

The sun was setting, and near Amaya's duplex was a large black tent with the song "Thriller" coming out of it. This could only mean one thing: Halloween had arrived!
Marshall was in costume already, using his umbrella as a sort of Gentleman's Cane as he merrily walked towards Amaya's duplex. He had promised to escort the young lady, and he'd be damned ifhe would go back on his word.
Yet again abusing his umbrella, Marshall used it to tap on Amaya's door.
Now I see why the Penguin keeps one of these things around...They're helpful!

When it had begun to get darker, Amaya had set to work getting into her costume. Even though it was rather simple, it was kind of hard to get into with her large hands even though she had requested for it to be modified for her.
She pulled on the strapped pants, having not worn a pair for months now. Though after they were passed her feet slipping them on was easy, a button above her tail snapping in place so her rear was covered but her tail could drag freely behind her. The top was a little more difficult, the sleeves long yet modified to be big enough to go over her huge hands and not hinder her from picking up things.
Straps hung all over her costume as she put on the iron muzzle, latching it loose enough so she could talk but tight enough so it wouldn't fall off. After that she put on some black makeup around her eyes to give herself a more dead look.
Ready to go, she waited around her duplex until the knock sounded out on her door. She smiled and stood up, opening it to greet her escort.
