General King Lepidolite

Lepidolite turned to Reidite and cracked a grin. A booming laugh followed and he clapped Reidite on the back with no shortage of enthusiasm. Of all the General Sovereigns in attendance, Lepidolite probably took himself the least seriously.

And yet, he was also the most vocal about his accomplishments. He must have had some hand in this given how he was even more extroverted than usual. “If it seemed like it'd be a good time. Maybe you’ll get to wear something fun soon, wait until the Queen gets back. Or you know, you could always stop by my office and we could coordinate something. Halloween’s coming up, I bet we could get some really fun costumes going.”

There was certainly a business proposition in there; Destiny City had no shortage of creative fashionistas and beautiful models, why shouldn’t they capitalize on some of that? And during the entire month of October it was practically a free for all.

It didn’t matter how many successful projects he had under his belt, there was always room for one more.

And Reidite was a model, wasn't he? There were others, too. Might be worth looking into.

Or, maybe he was just thinking up an excuse to throw a Halloween party.

Lt. Euchroite

Looking around Euchroite saw that everyone there seemed to know each other. She was just standing there by herself looking lost.

She wanted to maybe introduce herself to people but was not sure if she should. Wasn’t sure if it would be welcomed.

Then she saw someone familiar. Arseno was here. He was sitting down at a table with a plate stacked with food. She wouldn’t be a part of the negaverse if it wasn’t for him.

She made her way over to him. She hoped he remembered her.

Euchroite approached Arseno with a nervous smile, her heart pounding in her chest.

Lt. Brassite

Having arrived early, Brassite helped herself to several plates of food and a pretty discreet place to sit and munch, ears perked for all the hot gossip the adults in the room thought they could get away with. It wasn't entirely her thing to allow herself to be unnoticed, especially when she knew the older people around weren't especially comfortable. Thanksgiving had made that particularly clear, and yeah, maybe the whole child soldier among your ranks thing wasn't the nicest thing to be reminded of. But if she had to make herself small to make other people comfortable? Then generally she preferred to be big as ********> and impossible to ignore, thank you all the same.

But this was a bit different, this was like...eating in the teacher's lounge, right? Who wants to be noticed by all the old boss people! Maybe one day, when she felt she'd earned her flowers and banners and a big ********' raise, but not like, today. So Brassite relegated herself to her own personal kiddie corner and wondered if the guy who was on fire was the leader of the rumored Team Harem, if General Kewpie Doll was gonna get White Girl Wasted this time, and if Cryptobro could really eat all that or if the plate was more aspirational than reality-based.

Laurelite was only gone for a few moments, but when she returned, she seemed pleased with herself. It was hard to tell if something was wrong because she always wore a pleasant little smile. Despite what could have been an overpowering aura, something about her seemed too relaxed for the sensation to be unpleasant.

She took to the stage at the front of the ballroom, where the lighting was soft but more than enough to clearly illuminate her.

Maybe it was a trick of the room, or maybe Metallia had granted her some skill to carry her voice wherever she liked; Laurelite did not need to raise her voice or use any amplifying device.

She was simply heard.

“If I could have just a moment of your time, I won’t keep you from dinner. While you’re all here and settled in, I just wanted to share a bit of good news and extend an invitation. As you all know, our General King Lepidolite is always hard at work expanding our business ventures.”

Lepidolite was a confident, skilled man. He was worthy of his rank, and despite the frivolousness he sometimes exuded he was actually very good at his job. He’d have been beaming even if Laurelite hadn’t paused to smile at him.

“Very big shout out to the Infiltration branch, I know we’re going to be seeing some very good things from them in the near future. But tonight, I want to focus on our new venture. We acquired the location a little over four months ago, it’s on a very busy strip in Destiny City. It used to be an old supermarket but next Friday, the 20th, Biolumina Club and Lounge will have its grand opening. You’ll get an email later tonight with an invitation and form if you’d like to join us, but I am sorry to say that if you show up, I’ll have a task for you. But it won’t be without reward. We’ll be unveiling a new prototype.”

She was at the center of the stage and took strategic pauses to let the information sink in before continuing, “I know it can be difficult for everyone to get out and gather energy for our cause. We’ve been hard at work for a viable solution for a while, and–gratitude where it is due, Commodore Lyndin has been instrumental in helping us achieve the technological advances we needed to get there. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to join us tonight.” She smiled sweetly but didn’t seem at all upset by his lack of presence. “Pending the results of next Friday, we may be able to step into a new era. Our lovely Mauvians, always so hard at work, have helped make this dream a reality. Biolumina will be our testing ground for our new energy siphoning objects. Before releasing them for widespread use, we need one last sample to gather data from. I don’t want to bore anyone with the fine details, we’ll have full information provided in the email sent out tonight, but our hope is that by improving this system we’ll be able to reduce our need for starseeds.”

Reduce, not remove, but it was progress all the same. It had been a very important goal the Vanguardians had insisted upon, and who was Laurelite to deny the request when it came with the ability to process the gathered energy and amplify their stock? Really, it only benefitted them in the end.

“We’ll have tonight to discuss any questions, but please don’t feel obligated to make this about business. I want you all to enjoy yourselves. There’s no pressure to help next Friday if you can’t make it. Tonight is still a celebration about how far we’ve come. You all work so hard. I’d like to set aside time to make sure you know how valued you all are. Metallia is so proud of us. And I hope, if all goes well,” there was a small, hungry glint in her eye, “we’ll be able to use this as a stepping stone to move onto bigger, better things. But I won’t get ahead of myself. Please, enjoy yourselves tonight.”

All Negaverse NPCs can be interacted with between now and September 22nd when this roleplay closes. Please quote The Space Cauldron if you are interacting with anyone! There are no restrictions or guidelines to what you can speak with them about, but their attention will be divided between anyone interacting with them.

An event ORP will start tomorrow around 6PM EST; it will involve dice rolling mechanics but will have a flexible schedule so players can get in all their rolls at their own convenience. Players will have about a week to play but more information will be posted then!

Players can continue to play or join in the ORP here until it is closed! Please take this opportunity to interact with your allies and make new connections or strengthen the bonds you already have. You never know when you might need someone to watch your back!

Note for 4th Stage Players / Mauvian Players: These characters may know about the extensive testing already done for energy draining objects as well as the elaborate oceanographic automatons that have been constructed to simulate aquatic animals. These characters should be expected to keep things fairly under wraps until the official release, but there may be rumors going around already or they may be willing to tease or share some information to trusted confidants. More information will be released about these LED infused creations with the release of Biolumina tomorrow, but any Mauvian may claim that they helped create them, as well as the small jellyfish table displays.

Captain Cryptomelane

Although he’d come alone and gotten himself situated alone—and although he generally preferred not being around most people—Cryptomelane found himself looking for some of the other Negaverse operatives he recognized. His General, if Amazonite wanted to come tonight and make herself seen. Perhaps someone else if he could manage to find them.……

(Though, on the other side of Queen Laurelite’s announcement and call for everyone to know they were appreciated, Cryptomelane had to admit, however silently, that he didn’t recognize most of the faces here tonight. Most names in the Negaverse, he knew by reputation rather than by having dealt with them personally. Didn’t feel safe or sustainable, as ways of living went, not least because the several of people he did know in this war were with the other side. Knights and senshi working for the White Moon—with many he’d encountered among the latter group being literal space aliens, trying to steal the Earth for themselves.

True, one of those Knights was Sonora, who would likely never join the Negaverse but who had also protected Cryptomelane before. But too many of the other agents of Order he’d run afoul of, he’d managed to outrage. Didn’t seem wise not to………try harder about getting to know more people within his own faction, rather than working alone all the time.)

One person he did recognize, even from a bit of a distance, was General Chalcanthite (though Cryptomelane really only knew the man as Brassite’s General). Having spotted him, though, Cryptomelane looked around the assembled group for the telltale ginger-orange hair and the feisty attitude he’d come to associate with Brassite. When he spotted her, sitting over toward one of the corners, he found the telltale ginger-orange hair. But the usual vivacity with which Brassite approached most things, that seemed curiously absent.

Although Cryptomelane had no desire to disrespect Queen Laurelite—especially not on the heels of a very interesting announcement that sparked for him several questions—he did not speak up to ask her anything. Instead, he turned to his tablet and its messenger app. He opened his ongoing conversation with Brassite (most of the messages in it being hers, with him responding but far less often, and in a way that, looking at their back and forth now, struck Cryptomelane as significantly less casual than Brassite’s usual way of writing). In the same way that she so often did, he sent her a few messages back to back, right on top of each other.

Are you alright?

Fascinating announcement. Very curious to know how the new tech works.

Almost asked someone to accompany me to a “mixer” on campus tonight, but I’m glad I came. Better food here and the Queen’s announcement is very, very interesting.

Plus, I can probably see Lucette later

General King Jet

Jet laughed as Aqua brandished his wine at Axinite. He didn’t have wine in his hand yet, but he was sure it was only a matter of time.

“Oh, I believe it. I never see you relaxed, Axinite,” he snorted in amusement, and then shifted closer to Aquamarine to bump elbows with him. It could have easily been seen as just the product of standing too close together, but the grin Jet offered him suggested more.

“What do you say? Put whatever you’ve got on hold, and I’ll help you later,” he offered, because even if he had his own work and research to do for the Queen, he could at least help Axinite out.

“You should see what Aqua does with the house during holidays. He’s got this competition going with the neighbor across the street. One-sided competition, I’m sure. We’ve got a whole herd of reindeer by now,” he shared, with a forced exasperated sigh. However, he was clearly amused.

His attention, however, was immediately on the Queen when she spoke, and he stood up straight to give her the respect she deserved.

It was difficult to read her, but it always had been. Even now as a General King, Jet wondered how much about the Queen he really knew.

Of course, he knew everything she was going to announce, so he took the time to quietly scan the crowd. He wanted to get a better read on those around them.

Lieutenant Jasper

Jasper only knew a few faces. Bloodstone, but he was probably scheduled at the hospital. Carnallite, but he didn’t see her anywhere in the vicinity. Roselite, who could always be found flitting about cleaning at these sorts of things. Jet and Aquamarine, but Jasper kept his gaze averted from them.

An Eternal Senshi in brightly colored robes. Jasper didn’t know his name, only knew he was acquainted with Aquamarine but they didn’t get along. (Not surprising, given how Aquamarine tended to behave.) He looked out of place, like he’d rather blend into the shadows somewhere. (Hard to do with all that orange.)

Jasper caught his eye. With his toe, he nudged out the chair across from him in silent invitation.

The Queen spoke. Jasper listened. He sighed, because even if she said they didn’t have to be at the club on Friday, he thought it would be a bad look to come here for the food and not go for the field test, or whatever it was supposed to be. He didn’t exactly have an excuse not to go. Oh, sorry, I was busy writing didn’t seem like a good enough reason when he could write whenever and didn’t need to do it to begin with.

“A club,” Jasper mumbled, as far from thrilled as one could be. “Sounds like an awful time.”

General Borax

To be honest, unlike many, it wasn't necessarily the food that drew Borax in.

Albite had put in perhaps more than a few good words for him with General-Sovereign Faustite. General Borax felt the effects of that whenever he wore the skin that dubbed him a mineral instead of a person, necessarily. Was that a public knowledge yet? Certainly not, but he had wanted it to be post-haste.

Nothing fancy to announce himself, though. Before Queen Laurelite took attention, he slipped inside the gathering, took himself a plate that was the type five-star restaurants would envy for its artistic brevity, and went to find where to put himself for the best impact.

Ah. His team. Perfect.

After a respectful nod to Faustite, he moved to sit himself down since it seemed Heliodor and Mizuki had quickly occupied themselves with him. It was, of course, intentional that he opted to sit next to Hestia.

As Laurelite talked, he watched attentively, suppressing the urge to roll his eyes at the reference for a lesser need for starseeds. It was, however, admirable that the Negaverse had managed to successfully sink themselves into what sounded like a... Nightclub this time. Curious. Perhaps this could be a new nighttime haunt.

It certainly would be expected to be with these new devices.

General Aquamarine

Aquamarine frowned at Axinite’s rejection and mumbled something into his wine glass about Axinite being even more of a goody two shoes than Jet. Except when one considered how Jet got all Teacher’s Pet around the Queen.

He nudged Jet back harder than Jet nudged him, then shoved the wine bottle at him so he could make himself useful.

“I won’t be decorating the castle,” Aquamarine grumbled, “so don’t get any ideas.”

Whether or not Aquamarine knew anything about what the Queen had to share with them still wasn’t clear even after she’d spoken. Aquamarine’s expression remained completely neutral. At least until she was done. Then he smirked at Axinite.

“Any chance we’ll see you at the club?” he asked like he very much did not expect an answer in the affirmative. Then, to Jet, before Axinite had a chance to say much of anything, “Do you think you could get the Queen to dance? Go offer her some wine.”

Eternal Kamacite

Kamacite felt his stomach sink further as the Queen gave her announcement. He didn’t particularly want to be involved in some night club task, but he also felt obligated. What use was he if he didn’t do his duty?

He’d caught the eye of the Lieutenant that he’d crossed paths with before, and felt a pink creep onto his cheeks. He didn’t know the man’s name, but he did remember how he’d almost drained energy from him while the man lounged on a park bench.

But he felt rude for refusing the unspoken offer, and quietly stepped over to the table to settle down across from him. Well. He had to move all of his robes and hair out of the way first, but once that was done he could nod appreciatively to him.

“I can’t help but agree,” Kamacite sighed quietly in response to the man’s comment. He was sure that Cymophane would have a blast.

General-King Faustite

Faustite had begun to doze without realizing it. The voice hear him roused him, his flame blooming from a smolder into a proper fire as dim, bleary eyes looked up at the one speaking.

It was Heliodor. He blinked a few times. Still Heliodor. Heliodor with a plate of food. He motioned his thanks, almost like a blown kiss, and accepted the plate. Then he stared at the heaped offering of all sorts — everything from candied chestnuts to gravy-basted turkey to steaming mashed potatoes to freshly baked bread — and thus had to decide if he should eat like a normal human or forego politeness and incinerate it.

He didn't know who made the food or if it was ordered in; he didn't pay that much attention to mundanity. Deciding that he should try to taste it, he set the plate down on the bistro table next to him and took up the fork.

Glad for Mizuki's interruption, particularly so he could avoid addressing the ever-present tension between him and Heliodor, Faustite turned his attention to her. The starseed was a surprise, and he nearly ate it automatically when he accepted it from her, but in light of tonight's purpose, he vanished it for later. She, too, received a thanks. Eyeing the two bowls, he snorted in amusement. Enjoy the food, he signed.

But Headache wasn't around to speak for him. He spared a quick glance around the place, but that b*****d of a youma was likely usurping someone's appearance to blend in at the moment.

The slip-up didn't bother him; anyone standing around and listening in on their conversation deserved to be confused.

It seemed Borax was in the crowd too. The new General received acknowledgement in the form of eye contact. Seemed he was already at work causing havoc for Hestia, who seemed preoccupied with her tablet.

Youma Headache

Headache strayed from its master to people-watch. It was always learning something new about human mannerisms, though it was frustrating to find that there were so many variations for it to copy. How the blonde General (Benitoite) held himself was much different than the presumed subordinates surrounding him, for example. Or that stiff one that it recognized from Faustite's team — Ilmari? And he wasn't eating like the rest.

For the occasion, Headache took the form of a blonde corrupted senshi that it had seen only a smattering of times (thus looking like Adonis). The guise seemed like it would blend in well with the dark and foreboding outfits endemic to the Negaverse. It began moving through the crowd at a slow pace, making its progress toward Ilmari —

Until the tablet carried within had gone off. Had anyone been looking, they would have seen a senshi reach directly into his cracked chest hole to pull out a perfectly serviceable tablet pen.

It was Hestia.

Ascended General Niter of the Interstice

There was so much food! Niter thought he should feel delighted.

But he didn't feel hungry, didn't crave the food the way he used to. Which was complicated to him, because he also didn't feel sad that he didn't want the food. Rather, he didn't feel much of anything at all, which was relieving in a way that wasn't emotional? At least he didn't have to try to explain that to anyone.

He was, however, quite interested in hearing what Laurels had to say. It was a whole event — Laurels was there, Jet was there, all the other General-Sovereigns whom he didn't want to bother were there. Not wanting to interrupt any of their conversations, Niter waved at and Aquamarine from a distance. They looked like they were having fun — well, as much fun as Aquamarine could have without like, being completely shitfaced.

He was content to float around the space of his own volition, ignoring the food and looking for Mauvians instead. Petting cats sounded like a good way to pass the time until Laurels came back and had a word with them.

A club? That was surprising, but General-King Lepidolite was always doing business-y stuff that Niter didn't much understand. It must have made sense to do that. Maybe it's a good front for draining? But as she went on, Niter realized it was more than he expected — certainly more than he could have come up with on his own.

Niter wasn't sure how helpful he could be with something like that, but if he found a Mauvian? He could ask them what they thought. That sounded like a good trade.

Eternal Chrysocolla
Chrysocolla did not generally like parties. Too loud, too many people, and a whole lot of people talking about things she thought were stupid and had to nod politely along to, and also half the time the food wasn't even good.

But if Queen Laurelite said jump, she jumped, and if Queen Laurelite sent out an invitation to a dinner party, she went to the dinner party. There wasn't a lot to think about there. It wasn't like there was a world where she was going to decide no.

She could've spent time talking to people. Or she could've done what she actually did do, which was summon Aschera (freshly promoted, which Chrysocolla was still preening a little over), tell the girl to socialize (if you know what's good for you implied, but never stated out loud), and then promptly channel her basic-senshi self and all the wallflower she'd been back then. Hanging out at the edges of the party let her keep an eye on things, mostly, although every now and then she waded into the rapidly-growing crowd. Beatrix was here and looked to be chatting up someone Chrysocolla didn't think she recognized; she'd ask about it later.

(Faustite was here, which he objectively had every right to be, but which she wasn't happy out regardless. She glanced at him once and then decided not to look at him for the rest of the night unless she definitely had to.)

--still, okay, okay maybe she felt a little like a blushing schoolgirl but that was normal, she had to say hi to Hessonite outside of a work context. Not that this wasn't a work context? But it wasn't a work context the way it was normally a work context, which mostly involved Chrysocolla grumbling about traitors and turncoats with all the visceral disgust of someone who couldn't remember a life outside the Negaverse. "General-Queen," she said with a tiny little polite view, not anything formal, "things going well?"
Her first impulse had been You look nice., which, no. Absolutely not!!!

--wait, was that Ascended General Haumea? That was priority number one. She needed to ask him some questions about Ascension; having an actual resource who'd been through it would make things so much easier...

Laurelite's speech was important, and Chrys was going to be there, but 'reducing the need for starseeds' did rankle a bit. What were Lieutenants these days going to think, that they were a charity??

Super Aschera
Aschera had the good graces enough to not go could you consider maybe giving me a heads up before summoning me to Chrysocolla, because the look she was giving him was the kind of thing he answered with a polite nod and a respectful silence, but he did breathe a sigh of relief when she turned him loose.

Sometimes, for all the fact she was half a foot shorter than he was and had a brain a little like a box of rocks, she was frightening; it wasn't as if Aschera was the pinnacle of common sense, he was impulsive as all hell, but he also didn't have any interest in fighting a woman who could steal his soul out of his chest, lift and carry him, and who probably went to the gym routinely. It seemed a little antithetical to his continued good health, he'd put it that way.

He made his way in nearby a Captain who was talking about Genshin or something (Andesine) with the youma seated next to her after grabbing a plate of snacks (including fancy cheeses; as he had previously said, all self-denigration, of course he liked cheese, he came from a very long line of white people.) trying to hit that sweet spot of definitely, actively, listening in, and people can tell but not doing it in, well, a rude way; in a way where plausibly he could've been watching the people a few tables over from a peoplewatching sort of distance. A very polite and egalitarian sort of listening-in. Was she dog training the thing? Could she.. did that work?

Captain Kosmochlor
Kosmochlor loved parties! She tried to make it to every Negaverse social occasion she could if she had the time, and usually she did, her hours were pretty variable as a civvie both doing work0work and streaming - this one wasn't an exception, And she would have been here sooner, not skittering in midway through Laurelite's speech, if she hadn't gotten incredibly sidetracked and realized it'd been two hours since she'd last checked the clock. She was so close on getting her headset finished --she'd hit another inspiration jag -- and that had, maybe, been very distracting,

Or maybe she'd been playing Final Fantasy and lost track of time. Either of those was plausible, and she wasn't telling.

She caught enough of the speech to get the gist of it, anyway, beelining to the nearest table to get a closer look at the "jellyfish". They were so lifelike! She wanted to know what they were made of so badly: the longer she spent in the Negaverse, the more multidisciplinary she got, but even irregardless of science these were so cool. Who cared about snacks? Snacks were irrelevant.

General Benitoite.

Reaching over to the plate of food, which he'd procured for the both of them to share, and picking up some sort of finger food he was unfamiliar with. Nibbling at it slowly, taking the time to taste test it, the blond nodded his head once. "No, it's not space. I'd rather like to avoid space for a while." Possibly forever if he had his say in things. Space was nice, on it's own, but not when you added a mission to an already present issue which needed fixing. It had been a disaster from the get go, and it felt like a set up, but he was holding onto his card so he could call in a favor when he decided he needed something from the space alien.

Closing the gap between their bodies, in order to gently bump the other, the blond leaned back against a table and stood there staring ahead. Watching as people arrived, and mingled, he wasn't surprised when his younger cousin turned up. She wasn't being escorted by family though, Hudson or Lorcan, but rather by another familiar corrupt senshi. "It looks like another of my team is here...Meine." And his eyes did land on a rather tall, and imposing figure, who went right for the buffet. "Arseno is here as well...." But he seemed rather lacking in energy, tired perhaps?

"I'd like to see him and Stichtite in a room together talk, I do believe they'd get on rather well." Shifting the blond tilted his head a bit towards Kafka, so he could speak softly for only the other to hear. It seemed that before he could decide if they should see to the other general, who was perhaps a bit tired, or his younger cousin the choice was made for them, Meine had come over and was asking who Kafka was - questioning who was at her cousins side so casually. "My dear cousin, I'm glad to see you here." Though he was surprised by who brought her here, expecting if she were to come it would be with one of their other cousins, but no matter. Miyamoto was trusted, one of Wolframite's team members, he could trust in the dark haired corrupt to get a job done.

"This handsome man next to me would be Rene." Smiling, his voice low, he pressed his side to Kafka's. "He travels all the same circles I do." Unlike his former partners, a shame really, he was finally able to share his whole life with someone though and he was pleased with that.

Unable to say much more as Laurelite turned up in all her glory and took to the stage to give her announcment, which was perhaps why Katgya had been wandering the house all kinds of smug lately. His attention focusedon her, a hand reaching out to grasp his partners uniform. Now that idea, to find other ways to gather energy, to not need starseeds as much, and to have safer ways to gather large quantities of energy - that sounded promising. He could only hope order didn't find out and somehow ruin things; again.

"I may not drink...and I don't even like clubs. But I do believe we'll be attending the opening event?" Turning his focus onto his partner. "I don't think you'd have an issue with turning up at the opening of a club, would you? What about you Meine? You aren't of age to drink but I'm certain we can get you into the club."

Captain Reidite

Reidite laughed in return, amused by the thought of the General King dressing up like he was getting ready to take the catwalk. Halloween was definitely a time for costumes.

He didn’t say anything more for a short while, giving his attention to the Queen when she made her announcement. Interesting…

“Will we be seeing you there, General King?” Reidite hummed thoughtfully. “A club could be a good time. And since it was your business venture…”

He was trying to get Lepidolite to agree to it without being too pushy. He didn’t expect him to be there, of course. He had better things to do than test out prototypes, probably. Not when they had so many others who would be there and willing to help out.

Eternal Corrupt Beatrix

Bones? Oh hell, that was a cool nickname such a vibe that she didn't even bother dismissing it. Grinning back as she demolished her plate, she wasn't one to care who saw her digging in, it wasn't cheap to eat food when you were working at the 7/11 or running out and about nabbing starseeds or draining.

"I mean yeah we can go back but what if all the good stuff is gone? We gotta eat to deal with all this freakin' hair yanno?" Gesturing to the rat's nest of hers before annihilating the rest of her first plate, she slid the second one back in front of her and waved slightly at Chrys as she saw them roaming and talking to Hessonite.

"I mean still better than half the stuff at the 7/11 yanno? It's cheap but like... even if stuff is hatey like ya said it's still better than last night's re-nuked pizza. I guess twinkies taste good though even if their cheap so eh I'm not sure about cakes here. I'd rather get like something later for it or just crush another monster or sumthin before I head out. I doubt they'd have that here."

Looking over their uniform she kinda thought they looked like one of those Japanese fashion things she saw sometimes when looking at IG. "So what's your vibe? 'cuz your fit is pretty neat."

Corrupt Super Kafka

"Good.... I don't think I'd like to go there again." Honestly, as more and more higher-ups poured in he didn't quite like this whole thing even more. It was one thing for him to roam around a club or party as a civilian but here he still felt out of place outside of Benitoite. But that was enough because he couldn't really do much otherwise about it.

Looking down at the corrupt as they almost demanded to know who he was as if his existence was some sort of offense to them, he blinked and looked at Benitoite for a moment. "Kafka and I would.... guess you are Meinel?" Taking a moment to lean into Beni he figured he might try and find out why they looked so offended by him being there. "Et qui est-ce?"

But that conversation paused for a moment as some sort of announcement came up from the Queen. The mention of a club sounded like something far less chaotic as space had been so when Beni brought it up he felt that the invite was something he could go along with. Plus he knew his way around enough of them from the time before they'd met so outside of some awkward run-ins with the one-night stands he had it probably wouldn't be too much to go along for the opening.

"At least it might be easier to find you if I lose you in there than back at one of those other events you brought me to." It still might be a problem but at least a club was exponentially smaller than their family's property had been during the holidays.
