MD stood there staring at the orb for a good minute before catching sight of a nod out of the corner of his eye from the street magician. The man looked proud that his performance was back on track, addressing the crowd again. "And now, I shall summon my magic and make this ball disappear! Keep focusing my friend and don’t blink my gentle crowd, least you miss it!" With that extra embellishment, he circled the air with his wand and with a loud shout of ‘Abra Kapoofo’ (words that nearly made MD crack) he snapped the wand down on the orb. A puff of smoke erupted in the space between the other man’s hands (which smelled suspiciously of lavender) and the orb was gone, leaving nothing but empty space.
MD straightened up a bit, looking rather impressed with the trick while members of the audience gasped and applauded excitedly and gave their own cheers. The patrat-looking magician beamed in delight, chest puffing out as he took a deep bow. "Thank you, thank you! And thank you, my dear volunteer!" He turned to MD, who at this point seemed to be thinking about the scenario but perked up as he was addressed.
"Oh of course! That was a pretty good trick! By the way," a grin spread across his face and he snapped his wrist, the orb from the trick prior, which had clearly disappeared in a huff of smoke, appearing back in his hand. The crowd seemed to go silent, with only a gasp from one of the onlookers. The street magician’s eyes went wide in shock, color draining a bit from his face. "Where’d you get this nifty orb from? I mean, I think I need one myself." His grin didn’t fade as he rolled the thing about in his hand, other reaching up to adjust the eye mask concealing his face. "Do the mystics sell’em? I mean, you have to let me know your dealer, my friend. From one magician, to another."

Ashley watched the ‘magic show’ with a growing level of interest. Not because he cared about magic (he didn’t), but rather about the show being put on by the two individuals. The street magician was your standard performer, with too much over the top zest. He laid on it so thickly that the French man couldn’t help but inwardly cringe. His volunteer though… well he was quite the opposite. THere was something… childlike to him (which was questionable for a grown adult) but also interesting. He could tell, even with the mask, that the volunteered man wasn’t taking this too seriously and yet… was? There was something to it.
The magic trick played out, with the shorter performer disappearing some orb in a flash of smoke and faux wonder. People were amazed and shocked, as was to be expected and Ashley gave Alphonse a side look of disapproval at how easily people seemed to be impressed. However the tone quickly changed for the crowd; Ashley looked up just in time to catch as the volunteer snapped the orb back into his hand with no smoke effects, which was far more impressive. This clearly caught the street magician off guard which was rather interesting. And to think, for a moment he thought this was a set up. Maybe it still was? But the former magician didn’t seem to be nearly as thrilled as the other about it…

Nothing had even happened yet, and Tay was already thoroughly enthralled. With paw-like gloves up by her mouth, the teen watched with her full attention on the orb the volunteer was holding. She wondered what was going to happen next. Was the orb going to vanish like the other man said? Or maybe it was going to change into something? Oh, the possibilities were endless, maybe. It was then the man doing all the talking took a long fancy looking stick and used it on the orb, making a bunch of purple smoke poof out. Tay leaned forward, eyes wide as she saw the orb was nolonger in the volunteers hands. "Woooaaah!" Tay exclaimed, as did most of the people surrounding the act. "Look at that, everyone, the ball just vanished." Tay added, putting out her hands and spreading them, as if that was suppose to be a charade for something vanishing. They hype grew quiet from the crowd as the volunteer unveiled the man's phony trick, making light of the way the orb appeared and disappeared. And while many of the people surrounding the act looked rather upset, Tay was still bewildered. She wanted one too!
Meanwhile, Kezia, Aislin and Fenrir reached the Corn Maze, and were already quickly on their way through the maze. Kezia came up with the idea to simply continue going along one wall, and that eventually would lead them to where they needed to go to get through it. After a while, it seemed her strategy was working. They were getting through it relatively quickly. "Some maze." Aislin scuffed, looking down at Fenrir. "Don't be so easily fooled. This is only the beginning." She replied with a grin.

As easy as this Corn maze seemed, there was really no way to actually tell if they were getting any closer to the first checkpoint or not. Aislin figured they were progressing just fine, making jokes that she could always use her Aura ability to find the right path, so they didn't keep walking into dead-ends pretending it was strategy. Fenrir, though not one to seem like a party pooper mentioned that they'd find out she cheated and they'd get booted out. Kezia was quiet, as per usual. The older vixen was far more quiet these days, ever since joining Avikna. Aislin didn't mind, she liked being the talkative one.

It was then, the group found themselves in rather a pickle. After reaching a deadend, they turned around to head back, but found a wall behind them. "This can't be good." "Well, it's my job to make the maze a bit more spooky and junk, anyway I kinda gave myself up, so whatever. Here, this was meant to be your prize for solving a riddle." Getting back on track, it wasn't long before the group managed to get to the first Checkpoint. A long path lead back out into the carnival as a means to leave the maze, but the trio were adamant about continuing, thus they headed into the second half of the maze, eager to find out what prizes awaited them there. "So what are the prizes for going through the full thing?" Aislin inquired, turning her gaze to Fenrir. The vixen replied with a tilt of her head, almost like a shrug. "You don't know? But don't you work here?" Aislin quirked a brow. Fenrir looked with a grin. "I worked in the Haunted House, I haven't been in the Corn Mazes for like, ever, and they change the prize bundles so often it's not even funny." She replied. "Oh? Well, give me a guess at what they got at least." Aislin pushed. "I don't know... Rare Candies, Tms, you know, I don't know. Just be patient, pushy." During the time the trio made their way through the maze, back by Avikna the red-head was taking it easy. Perhaps she was taking it to easy, as she'd fallen asleep among Mave's warm fur. The wolf didn't mind at all, actually happy to see Avikna sleeping so peacefully. Perhaps the smell was what put her fiery red-head asleep, as she was also feeling kind of dozy with the smells in the air. Arietty in the meantime had her eyes set on Tay, whom she couldn't entirely see, but she could still pick up the scent of the girl among the scent of foods. It seemed whatever Tay had gone to inspect was still going on, or at least she suspected as much.

"Hey look it's the exit!" Aislin blurted, a paw held straight out, pointed towards a large sign reading 'EXIT' Kezia turned her gaze to the canine, quirking her brow. "We can see that, Ai" The fox replied. Aislin lowered her paw, giving Kezia a quick apologetic look before rushing forward to check out the prize booth. "Woah! Come look at all this stuff! They have so much extra things than the check point." Scanning the items, it appeared their plush exchange price was pretty hefty. 'So this is what they're offerin' now?' Fenrir replyed, hopping up onto the table to get a better look. "What should we get? Perhaps something for Avikna?" Kezia mentioned. "After all, we should think of what she'd want." Aislin rolled her eyes. "She said to bring back the tickets we earn, she can have those. We earned our own pleasures." Kezia furrowed her brow, but in the end, she had to agree with Aislin. If Avikna wanted something else, she would just have to partake in the maze herself. "Woah, how about this?" Aislin asked, picking up a small crystal shaped like a star which appeared to glitter in a large variety of colours. Kezia stepped forward, taking a closer look at the odd looking star-shaped crystal. "What could that be used for?" She pondered. "I don't know, but I want it." The two nodded, agreeing on their find. "Fenrir, you helped as well, why don't you pick out something with the plushies?" Kezia suggested, setting both down on the table. "Me? Oh umm... How 'bout them Rare Candies?" She inquired, pawing one such candy. "Yea sure, tell you what you can even eat the whole lot of'em. Let's go show off our prize to everyone."
Fenrir gave a nod to the attendant, affirming her purchase. The attendant then opened all three candies, letting Fenrir eat them up. With a burst of energy the little fox quickly caught up with Kezia and Aislin.

The street magician gawked in utter shock at MD, large eyes darting between the grinning face and the orb in the other’s hand. The crowd was beginning to murmur among one another again about what was going on. One young girl didn’t seem upset by the change in the atmosphere as she loudly announced that the ball had disappeared.
"Who do you think you are?!" The patrat-looking magician finally sputtered as a scowl took over his face and he snatched the orb away. MD didn’t move to prevent the act, instead straightening up and folding his arms behind his back. The grin never left his face.
"I’m sorry! I just couldn’t resist; the disappearing trick is a my favorite classic after all," MD remarked, fiving the crows a quick look before addressing the street magician again. "Say, since you were speaking about the mystics and what not, you probably know a magic fire trick, huh?" The other man looked puzzled. MD’s grin would’ve grown more if it wouldn’t have made him look a little like a psycho or something.

"Yeah, Cricket's the big one." As he said it Jun was already reaching for her pokeball, but then he looked towards her and saw she was saying hello to Christian's pokemon. His fingertips brushed the top of the red and white capsule, but he decided not to use it. "Come on, Cricket." He instead scratched her on the head, pressing forward lightly to urge her to follow. Ledian of course shepherded Dunsparce for him, the little bug-thing flopping forward with weak flaps of his wings and wriggles of his body.
Jun glanced back, and his face went still as he stifled a laugh at the sight of his little procession. He did take a moment to note that Christian walked with sure footing; good to know the guy was feeling okay. "So, tell me about yourself, guy." Never mind, he liked it better when Christian was too preoccupied to ask questions.
"Uh." s**t. He hadn't meant to say anything out loud while he was scrambling for something to say. Come on, Jun, think of something. 'I was in a gang until a few weeks ago'. 'I sleep in the woods like a hobo'. 'I'm pretty sure my parents are dead'. "I...like swords.""I mean, it's not just a costume," he elaborated, fiddling with the sword tied around his belt. It was mostly hidden by his jacket, but the white ribbon he'd used to peace-tie it while at the festival stood out.

That was the feeling he got around Chickpea, at least. Speaking of his pleasant smelling friend, the blonde turned around a bit more to make sure that he was actually following along with them. Which he was, thankfully, though most of his attention seemed to be on the other pokemon around him -- they were holding a conversation, and boy Chickpea was quite the chatterbox.

Christian swiveled his head back around, and offered a semi-amused grin as Jun thought on what to say. "First thing that comes to mind," he urged, teasing. "I...like swords." His eyebrows shot up at that claim. Huh. He hadn't expected that. Bending down to look at the white ribbon protruding out of his jacket, which complicated his walking for a few seconds, before he shot back up. "That's awesome. On their way back to Avikna and the others, of course the trio stopped to play some more games, if only to add more to their growing pot of tickets. Though Aislin would flat out deny it, there was a part of her that wanted to impress Avikna, and coming back with all sorts of goodies would likely do the trick. So, as the trio stopped at the Squash Smash, Aislin took another go and beating up a Squash, only to cause it minor damage. Still, 5 tickets was worth it. Moving on, they stopped as the Pumpkin Search, which Fenrir took a chance to dabble in. The fox came out covered in pumpkin guts, but with a baggie of 6 tickets clutched in her maw. After a quick cleaning, the trio moved on to the other two ticket baring games.

Back by the foiled magic act, Tay was still excited over the vanishing and reappearing orb, even if the other magic-guy didn't seem to happy about his trick being mocked. The assistant quickly apologized, stating it was something he couldn't resist. But then he went on to mention 'fire magic' This was lost on Tay, but she was ever eager to see if the show would continue. It was a good thing indeed that she stuck around, because the assistant went and did some magic himself, something that seemed far more advance that a fake disappearing orb. From the tips of his fingers a small flame flickered to life. Once more Tay was taken in awe, this time speechless. Now that was something she'd never seen before! Was this guy really a Pokemon or something!?
The trio of Aislin, Kezia and Fenrir happily continued playing a couple more games. Kezia took her chance at the Spinarak web game, utterly failing not even a spitting distance in. Later, Aislin tried the apple bobbing game, to which she managed to grab two apples in her maw, though her jaw somewhat hurt afterward, still the 4 ticket win was somewhat worth it, right?
