Not far from the Chills and Thrills, is found this area reserved for all the food stands and picnic tables for guests to eat at. You have many options here to choose from! Chandelure's Cauldron has plenty of warm drinks, while Gengar's Grille has some tasty treats with name themes that will send shivers up your spine. Don't worry, though. All the food is actual food that is intended for consumption. The names are just for fun.
Games
Each of these games can be played once a day per character, and cannot be done at the same time as an activity. This means that if you have your character head into one of the "Activities", you can't have their pokemon off playing games. This is to reduce spamming, and really keep the activities more for those who just want to RP and not try and rush things with this event. You may gain tickets from two games per post, so you would have to make two posts, in total, to play all the games. They each yield tickets, which can be exchanged for gifts from the list below. Each game gives a different quantity, depending on how hard they are, and how well the person rolls. These are RNG based, but are set to give at least a minimum amount of tickets so that people can still save up to get something, even if the RNG gods are acting against them. Please roll for all ticket games in the Spookivale RNG thread indicating what game you are playing and for which character. Also, keep track of the total number of tickets a character has somewhere in their posts.
Apple Bobbing: A hallow's eve classic. Holding your hands behind your back, see how apples you can grab in one minute using only your mouth out of a barrel of apples floating in water! It's trickier than it looks.
How to Play: Roll three 6 sided die. A 1-3 is a miss, but roll a 4-6 and you get an apple! The more apples you get, the more tickets you win.

Spinarak Web Crawl: Walk along a precarious rope "web" without falling! Be careful, it bounces! The farther you get, the more tickets you earn.
How to Play: Roll a ten-sided die to determine how far you get. The number you roll is the number of tickets you get!
Pumpkin Search: Pick a pumpkin from the patch, then put on a blindfold and stick your hand inside to try and find the tickets in a plastic bag! This game is not for squeamish folks. Gloves can be provided if you'd like to keep your hands from getting dirty.
How to Play:
Roll a 12-sided die to determine the number of tickets found inside.
Squash Smash: A seasonal spin on the classic "test your strength" game. Pick a pumpkin size and see if you can smash it with a mallet with just one power-packed hit! The larger the pumpkin, the harder it is to smash, so choose your difficulty wisely!
How to Play:
The way to play varies depending on what size pumpkin you choose. There are five sizes/difficulties; small, average, large, super, and totem. The larger the size, the harder the odds are of getting tickets. If you aren't able to smash the pumpkin, you can still get one ticket as a consolation prize. After that, you will get more tickets depending on how well you smashed the pumpkin in one hit. Make a hole, you get a decent amount, but you'll get more depending on how well you destroyed your squash. For the harder challenges like super and totem sizes, it's all or nothing. You have to completely destroy the pumpkin to win more than one ticket.
Small Size: A tiny pumpkin, sized appropriately for children attempting this game. Roll a 4 sided die.
1 = Get 1 ticket as a consolation prize. 2-4 = Win 2 tickets.
Average Size: A decent size, but still playing it safe. Roll a 6 sided die.
1-3 = Get 1 ticket as a consolation prize. 4-5 = Win 3 tickets. 6 = Win 5 tickets.
Large Size: Time to roll up your sleeves! This is where the real test starts. Roll a 10 sided die.
1-5 = Get 1 ticket as a consolation prize. 6-7 = Win 3 tickets. 8-9 = Win 5 tickets. 10 = Win 10 tickets.
Super Size: This one's pretty big. Are you up for the challenge? Roll a 20 sided die.
1-14 = Get 1 ticket as a consolation prize. 15-19 = Win 5 tickets. 20 = Win 100 tickets.
Totem Size: Inspired by the Alola region, this pumpkin is as big as a totem pokemon, and has a special and large squash smash mallet, but it's still the most challenging to smash—it's a challenge just to lift the mallet to try! Roll a 100 sided die.
1-99 = Get 1 ticket as a consolation prize. 100 = Win 1000 tickets.
Activities
Activities can be progressed through three times a day, meaning you can only roll for progress three times a day; the rest of your posts, if you manage to do more, can only be for RP purposes, and will not result in additional progress through the activity, culminating in a reward.
Corn Maze Venturing through this cornfield, you might wonder if some elgyem helped form it, with how elaborate and clean cut it is. Not only are you in search of a way out, but you've also heard rumors that it's a good spot to go hunting for tickets and prizes, so keep an eye out while you wander! Be wary, one can only go through up to 4 times!
How to Play: To make your way through the maze, roll a 12-sided die. 1-8 = progress 10 feet 9-11 = you find a cacturne plushie. Keep hold of it! You may find more. Also, progress 5 feet 12 = you don't make progress at all, but you do find 20 tickets.
You must make it at least 30 feet to reach the first checkmark, where you can leave, gain a prize, and exchange your cacturne plushies for a small selection of gifts.
You may get one prize for free, but you can also exchange the appropriate amount of plushies for additional ones if you found them during your wandering.

Note: If you go through the Maze more than once, you can hold onto cacturne plushies to have more at the end of the second time through.
Haunted House There are a few different haunted houses here, and their scare factor ranges from kid-friendly to the slightly more die-hard (literally!) fright fans. If you get lost or too scared, you can exit without finishing and get consolation prizes as a result, but you can only complete a haunted house twice during the entirety of the event. After completing the haunted house activity twice, you can still do it again and leave after completing a portion of it, but you will have to leave once you've completed the second ten post benchmark.
How to Play: Roll to progress through the Haunted House. Every 10 posts, you have a chance to leave the House and earn a prize, each more valuable than the last with the further you get. Note that, while you can leave between each 10 post benchmark, you will get the consolation prize equal to the 10 you already passed, not the one you are on your way to reaching. So if, say, you make fifteen posts, and decide you want to leave, you will get the post you could have received at 10 post benchmark, rather than the one you'd get if you made it 20 posts in.
For the first ten posts, roll a six-sided die: 1-3: You progress through the House, with nothing happening. 4-5: Something spoOOooOoky happens! 6: You find an extra ticket!
If you leave after completing this floor, you will get a choice between x5 Dusk Balls, or x3 Dark or Ghost Gems.
For the next ten posts, roll a ten-sided die: 1-4: Nothing happens 5-8: Something spoOOooOoky happens! 9: You find a rare candy! :0 10: You find an extra 5 Tickets
If you leave after completing this floor, you will get x5 Sweet Hearts, x1 Evolution Item (hold, stone, etc), x1 Spell Tag, or x1 Black Glasses

Not sure on how to improvise scary events? Here are some ideas. We've categorized them from cheesy to seriously scary so you can have control over the scare factor. Pick one from the list that suits your fancy, or RNG it for a spooky surprise!
Cheesy: You might see some of these in a more lighthearted spooky but not terrifying setting. 1] The typical cardboard figures, or smaller pokemon, popping out 2] Ghost pokemon phasing in and out of the room and walls to scare people 3] Things are oozing out of the walls... 4] You hear a bone-chilling howl! 5] Flickering lights, or lights suddenly going out for a long time 6] You hear the cackling similar to that of a croagunk in the distance. 7] You open a door and a flock of zubat or murkrow all fly out at you all at once.
Want to ramp it up and say your character went into a more serious haunted house? Feel free to use some of these, but be warned, these are on much more of the extreme scare/kind of disturbing scale, so we're putting them under spoilers:
1] The shadow of a Hypno leads what looks like a small child away, and then disappears. 2] A phantump is seen floating next to a tree with the remains of a child barely visible in a hallowed out shelter in the trunk. 3] A cubone with a bloody, fresh skull 4] A sandygast lurking through black sand, with skeletal remains protruding from the sand. 5] A mimikyu stares you down from the other side of a hallway and quickly extends a large shadowy arm towards you. Just when you think it's going to grab you, it disappears, but you swear you see it still lurking around in dark corners. 6] A sweet aroma drifts in, but as you draw closer, it begins to turn sour, until you see a shadowed Victreebel lurking in the darkness, half-digested remains, arms and legs, hanging from its mouth 7] Look into a mirror and you don't see yourself. Alternatively, look into another mirror and you see a warped version, bloody, zombified, or otherwise. 8] You see a cofagrigus and hear banging and screaming from inside it.
Make Your Own Halloween Treats! Largely for fun, this cooking class has three phases of preparation to make a deliciously spooky treat! Each phase requires a certain number of posts to complete, and in the end your masterpiece will be judged and given a score. Depending on how well you did, you'll get a nice reward for your effort! For each post, please make note of what points were added or lost, link to your rolls, and keep track of your total score!
1 = Something went terribly wrong with the mixture-- go ahead and start again, adding an additional roll to this phase. 2-6 = Congrats! You measured everything out! (Well enough, anyway.)
Tally your total between the rolls, and record it in your post!

Roll one six-sided die each post:
First post: If you rolled a 1, you've spilled a lot, -2 points to your total score at the end of this activity. If you rolled 2-6, then you got most, if not all, of it into the container!
Second post: You've got it in the oven. No risk here—just add whatever you roll to your total score at the end!
Third post: If you roll a 1, it got a little burnt, -2 to your total score at the end of this activity. If you rolled 2-5, you did well. If you rolled a 6, it's PERFECT! You get an additional +2 to your score from this phase! Add both negative and positive values to your score from Phase One, and record it in your post.
Roll a six-sided die, and add it to the first post's value to your final score.
OR, you can risk it all and roll a 12-sided die:
1-3 = Things didn't go so well—you only get the value of your previous post to add to your total score. 4-10 = Add the number you rolled this turn to your first roll from this phase, then add them to your total score. 11-12 = Add an additional twenty points to your total, along with your first roll's value.

Pumpkin Carving Contest The carnival has pumpkin carving contests rather frequently, and you're more than welcome to enter yours! You can do this several times, and RP wise, you can take as long as you want, but this event only takes about 6-8 posts and yields moderate rewards.
You may roll three times a day. You need a certain amount of points to achieve each step of the pumpkin carving process, and some steps have a chance for things to go wrong, so be careful as you progress! Whatever you roll, is the number of points you get—but if a certain event is tagged to a number, make sure to keep track of that, and adjust accordingly!
Step 1: Cut off the top, scoop out the innards Requires: 6 points to accomplish. You may roll one six-sided die per post. Once you have obtained 6 points or more, you may progress to step 2.
Step 2: Start carving Requires: 12 points to accomplish. However, if you roll a 1, you must subtract 2 from the number of points you have, even if it goes negative Once you have obtained 12 points or more, you may progress to step 3
Step 3: Finish the details, and add in the candle Requires: 7 points to accomplish. If you roll a 6 on your first post, you get an additional +1 point to finish early!
Prizes: For each pumpkin you finish, you can either claim 10 Tickets, or x5 Food Items, or x3 Sweet Hearts

It took Torin longer than he'd thought to actually get them ice cream, mostly because Julie was in such awe that she spent most of the first several minutes they were there staring at things, then she started running around to stare at different things, before finally he was able to remind her of the ice cream,a nd get her to hold his hand while they went to search for it. They had to recall all of their pokemon, but he urged her to leave Chico out just in case, so that the pokemon could continue to get a little stronger outside of the ball, and stand guard with him. "You want to play some games while we're here, Julie?" he absently suggested, looking over to a few stations that were nearby, while his little sister eagerly enjoyed the ice cream cone he'd got her. "Mm! Yeah! Can you help me with them, Tey?" she asked, looking curiously at a few as they wandered closer. "Yeah, of course. Which one do you want to try first?" he asked, going over to take a look.
Julie looked around, but brightened up at the sight of the apple bobbing contest. Torin eyed it warily, but followed as she ran over, and sighed as she beamed up at him. "Yeah, alright. You finish your ice cream," he asked, trying to ignore the fact that he was already starting to get a slight headache. The water certainly looked clean, at least, but... yep, it was cold. Cold as hell. He shook his head as he came up, for the third time, empty, looking much like a wet cat. Not even the incessant, girlish giggling coming from his sister really helped, though when he cast a raised eyebrow and a side look at her, the sheepish, apologetic smile she gave him, did. Shaking his head (and spraying her on purpose) he got to his feet, lightly flipping her hair as she laughed and moved away, while looking for another game. There was a web crawl... Julie was going to do that one, though. He held her ice cream for her, and though she didn't get far, she still seemed to enjoy it, especially as Chico hurried over to check on her as she climbed off the bouncey, balloon cushioning that caught her.

Torin was a lot more insistent on taking a break from the games as he rolled his shoulder and stretched it out a bit. He was far from in shape, and not exactly muscular, though he perhaps wasn't quite as depleted as one might expect with his habits. Still, to say he was undernourished was an understatement. Luckily, Julie was happy to try Apple Bobbing, and came out giggling as she actually got an apple, nearly dropping it in her laughter. He smiled, and though that was the only one she got, it still earned them more tickets than he had. "See? Maybe you should stick to that one from now on," he remarked with a bit of a smirk. She scrunched up her face and stuck out her tongue, but shoved the tickets in his hand before running off to the spiderweb crawl again. This time, however, she set a startled Chico on the web, and the pokemon stared with wide eyes as he tried to get his balance. It took some adjusting and a lot of encouragement from Julie, but eventually he started moving, his vines slithering out to grab onto the web, and try and keep his balance. Torin looked over and noticed some suspicious looks from the attendants, who were whispering together, but before they could make up their minds on if this was cheating -- or whether they wanted to ruin a little girl's fun -- the rope slipped right out from under Chico's feet, and he tumbled down. He crawled his way back, shaking his head, only to be swept up in a big hug from Julie, while Torin relented to going to get their tickets. The pokemon had actually earned them a good bit, too.

Chico seemed to be their big hitter when it came to getting tickets, as he successfully fished ten out of a pumpkin. Julie giggled and helped him clean off his vines, but the group had to debate some when it came to trying to squash another, well.... squash. Torin was adamant he wasn't doing that again, not so soon, Julie couldn't really lift the hammer, and it proved a struggle for Chico. So, it wasn't much of a surprise that one of their struggling attempts was eventually counted against them, and they were given one single consolation ticket to go on their way. It didn't seem to dampen spirits, though. In fact, Julie was eagerly looking around for more to do.

Torin could tell Julie was on the cusp of dragging him into a haunted house or corn maze, but honestly, he wasn't up for that. He was starting to feel pretty stiff and restless, and rolled his shoulder a bit and rubbed the back of his neck as he coaxed her back into playing some of the games they'd been trying, one more time. He grabbed Tria's pokeball and released the rapidash, before kissing Julie's forehead, and promising he'd be right back. She chimed a happy "Okay~" while trying to focus on the net in front of her, her hair still wet from apple bobbing a moment before. Torin spared a short look at Tria, who was watching him from the corner of her eye, before he moved to slip away. He just... needed to take a moment.

Julie turned and looked after her brother, once he was mostly gone, and stared a moment before looking down with a hard to read expression. She quickly turned, though, and beamed at Chico, moving so fast she startled the chikorita, before grabbing his face in her hands. "C'mon Chico! Le's go play some more games!" she urged, before moving and darting off. Tria glanced after Torin for a moment as well, but huffed, shaking her head, and swishing her flaming tail as she turned to follow Julie. Hopefully he would return soon... it seemed Julie was getting interested in investigating some of the other things that the carnival had to offer.

Tria carefully tread along behind Julie, watching the young girl, and occasionally lifting her head to gaze around and take in their surroundings. She knew it might be over cautious, but this was a very busy place, and while one would assume that meant safety, it also meant things could easily go unnoticed. Theft, pick pocketing, injury, a little girl going missing... She was being a little extra cautious, just in case. It seemed Chico was keeping close to Julie, too, but honestly, the rapidash didn't quite trust him to notice anything suspicious. He seemed rather young, and despite being the girl's starter, still seemed to be adjusting to things. She was happy to keep watch, though-- even if it seemed Julie was starting to look for her older brother, so they could try some of the other activities the carnival had to offer.

Maybe Torin being gone was good, seeing as they suddenly did quite a bit better in their games. Chico was able to fish out a whopping twenty tickets in the pumpkin search, and while he got the muck off his vines, Tria assisted with the Squash Smash, and managed to do a bit more damage than any of them had managed previously. Which wasn't a lot, but it got them a few more tickets, and Julie's pockets were in danger of overflowing as she stuffed them in and looked around. "Hey Lemon, did you want to try some of the other things they have to offer here? Maybe we could try some pumpkin carving?" The group turned as Torin approached, his head to the side, eyes half open as he looked down at his little sister. Tria looked him over, but remained still, especially as the girl lit up with a grin. "Hehe, yeah! Let's do it!" she agreed excitedly.

Before the crew could make it to pumpkin carving, Julie got distracted by candy making, and with a shake of his head, Torin let them be rerouted. He recalled Tria, but let Julie release her Mareep once they were signed up for the class, though he made her promise to keep it contained so their food wouldn't be contaminated. The two seemed to really enjoy each other, though, so... he wasn't going to force them apart if she wanted her out, and he could always focus on the cooking himself. Not that it was exactly his forte, but... Chico would be there to help too, right? Sort of. Together, they were able to cobble some of the ingredients together, but it... wasn't a smooth process.

Torin blew a bit of hair off his face and swiped the back of his hand over his cheek to try and remove some of the flour that had got there, but he was pretty sure he just smeared some more on his his face, and blew off another stray strand of hair in annoyance. He and a slightly powdered Chico looked down at the mix they had managed to get together, before he sighed, and moved to try and clean his hands off. At least they were able to get it together, without blowing any ingredients... too out of proportion. "Lemon, want to come help pour the matter?" he called over. It was just cupcakes, not so much candy, but she'd probably have fun decorating them once they had cooked, anyway.

Julie was giggling as she helped try and spoon the batter into the pan. For the most part, they got it all in, which was surprising given the members their little team was composed of, but some did spill. Julie was left to lick the bowl, while Torin heated up the oven, and prepared to put the cupcakes in. "Do you want to go play with your mareep while we wait for this to cook, Julie?" Torin offered, leaning against the counter as he took his seat on one of the stools. She beamed. "Can I?! I'll stay close!" she promised excitedly. He nodded, but then turned to Chico and gave an indicative jerk of his head. "Yeah, just take Chico with you, too," he urged, the pokemon blinking, before hopping down from his own seat to join his trainer. It wasn't Tria, but... the two should be able to keep her safe. And he'd be keeping an eye on her as best he could, too.

Julie skipped off with her pokemon, leaving her brother behind to wait for the oven to heat up, and put the cupcakes in. "Ooohhh, it smells so good here," she hummed, inhaling as they walked. Chico glanced down as his stomach rumbled loudly, flushing a bit, but it seemed that Julie didn't notice. Mareepa was hopping along and flailing her little legs as she scuttled around her trainer, who was looking at all the foods. Maybe Torin would buy them some, and they could have the cupcakes as dessert... "C'mon! I gotta go ask Torry something real quick!" she suddenly declared, tugging at her pokemon before turning and dashing back towards the baking center.

Julie flew through the crowds, and before anyone knew it, she was tugging on her brother's pant leg, and earning a raised eyebrow look in return. "Torry! Can I have some money? There's some really good food here! I'll bring you some!" she offered, beaming up at him. The wary look that earned her didn't daunt her optimism, though, and after a moment, Torin sighed. "Yeah okay, just... be careful. People see a little girl with money, they might try and take it from you. Only give vendors your money in exchange for food, and make sure you're doing your best to read the signs and make sure the prices are correct, alright?" he said, pulling out some cash, and handing it over. She nodded, then turned and flounced off, her brother watching her tiredly. Julie was smart, but... she was also pretty gullible, and kind. He wasn't sure giving her money was the best bet... but it wouldn't be the first time she went and bought them food by herself. Usually he was able to keep her in his line of vision, though.

Torin didn't look preoccupied as he waited for his sister to return, given his focus remained on his phone, while he glanced occasionally at the oven to make sure nothing was burning. He took it out when it was done -- it seemed fine enough -- and set it on the cooling rack as he was instructed by the classes supervisor. He glanced over as Julie came skipping back, smiling faintly as he put his phone away. "Hey Lemon, just in time to start decorating," he remarked, looking curiously at the food she handed him. "Here Tey! It's a shishakibob!" she stated, beaming. "It sure is," he remarked, eyeing it with a raised eyebrow. It didn't have the usual meat and veggies, just strips of meat that had been folded to have the bamboo stick run through it. "Looks good. We can decorate after we eat, then, okay?" he suggested, earning a nod from Julie, who was already hopping up on a stool and starting on her meal.
