Thankfully for his sports playing, Ares is tall for his race, standing at 5’10”. Still on the smaller side, but nothing to sneeze at. He’s got a slender but solid build from working out and running around so often. A near constant ‘blush’ brushes his cheeks, though its undiscernible whether it’s from his working out so often or genetics.
When he’s working out or tinkering around, he tends to keep his hair pinned back with bobby pins. His clothes tend to be things he doesn’t mind getting rough and dirty in or things that will draw attention to him, and he wears them to death. The combat boots are his absolute favorite thing to wear and he tends to wear outfits that show them off to the best. Unfortunately, he nearly always manages to have one untied, no matter how often he ties them.
General Much like his Zodiac sign, Ares is very determined and energetic. He sets his sights on a goal and then works tirelessly to accomplish it. Participating in sports is one of his favorite things to do, but he also actively studies and socializes. He has a large group of friends because he loves the attention. He’s gotten into fights with other nightmare just FOR the attention it would get him, so the teachers tend to keep an eye on him. He’s not above manipulating others into starting something either. Sometimes this works out well, with the guilt spread around equally, and other times nightmares are able to trace it back to its source, him. He’s made enemies like that, but friends as well.
The imp thrives in an environment where he’ll receive praise and is able to advance quickly. He’s better at individual projects than group ones but prefers to work in a group or pair. He enjoys showing off.
While various sports and a couple instruments are his hobby, engineering is his main love. He loves getting his claws on various technology and taking it apart to see what makes it tick. His room has bits and pieces of quite a few things laying around, cluttering the place up. Thankfully his roommate doesn’t get onto him too badly about this. He’s a bit of a slob himself but hates it when others are. (His mess is organized¬ and he knows exactly where everything is!)

Music Attention Dancing, surprisingly. Working out ‘New’ technology – ie, anything new he can get his hands on and tinker with Group Activities Sunny Days, his favorite drink brand, especially the Celebratory flavor Chill Out's, his favorite popsicle brand. Their ice cream is pretty great too.

Hobbies
Sports – Ares loves to play sports. He finds them a great way to stay in shape and make more friends. For the most part he keeps to the team sports. Jogging is the only athletic thing he enjoys doing solo.
Music – Base is his preferred instrument, but he’s dabbled with the guitar and drums and can reliably play both. For his own enjoyment, he plays blues tunes, but when he’s playing for a crowd, he’ll try and keep it on a brighter note. His mentor during his time as a freshling got him into music, and let him try out the drums when he was littler. As he grew up, he tried a few other instruments to try and find his favorite. At the start of his senior year he discovered the base and fell in love.
Habits: -Ares chews on pencil erasers while in class or in thought or studying. Pretty much any time he's in front of paper. He's tried to stop doing it, but the habit seems to persist regardless of his efforts.

Born from an abandoned stone from the Great Cache, Ares was born and raised at the academy. He was particularly active as an infant and loved attention even then. As a freshling, he was kept in a room with several other nightmares, easily socializing. He was more or less the same size as everyone else and got along well with others. It was during this time that he discovered his love for music. His mentor was almost always playing some sort of tune and the energy of it appealed to the young imp. The drums were his instrument, something easy to understand and play.
Junior year, he shot up, outgrowing most of his imp friends. Given his size and strength, he became a bit of a bully. Teachers quickly jumped on that and managed to turn his focus to sports. To their delight, he quickly latched onto the concept and threw himself into a couple different teams. The imp experimented a bit with different instruments, settling on the guitar.
As he became a Senior, he switched around his instrument again. This time around, he settled on the base and is now quite satisfied with it. He’s more than passably good with the thing, thanks to a summer of practice.
He’s always enjoyed tinkering with technology and finding out how they work. His senior year is going to be full of engineering classes hopefully and he’ll get to expand what he already knows. After that, he’ll go for a degree in Engineering from Leviathan. He has no particular desire to become part of or form a cartel, but he’d love to maybe open a mechanics shop or something.

Love: Odds are when this male finds someone he cares for, he’ll be quite passionate. Contrary to most imp nature, Ares is not overly affectionate with others aside from those he’s very very close to. Even then, his affection is more subtle. Himself: For a while during his freshling/junior years, he warred with being an orphan. He wondered why he didn’t have parents, what would have been different. Caretakers and teachers were great and all, but they didn’t make him. Towards the end of his junior year, he finally made peace with the idea. What’s happened has happened and there’s nothing he can do to change it. Odds are he’ll never be able to find out who his parents were and why he was in that cache, but he could make sure his own kids never have to experience that. Enoch: He’s pretty apathetic towards the whole ‘cold facts and logic’ part of the House. It was more the fact that there were other students with his interests, engineering, in the house that made him pick it. He likes participating in the House events, if only because it means he gets to make more friends. Imps: It doesn’t really matter to him what someone’s race is so much as what they’re like. Being raised in the academy distanced Ares to the imp culture and ideals. He knows and respects them, but feel they don’t apply to him. Unknowingly, he’s actually got quite a bit in common with them. Other Races: Ares gets along well with pretty much all other races. He has the natural tendency to be more wary of Geists than other races, but that’s simply from not understanding much about their culture. That’s not to say he doesn’t get along with them, just that he’s more cautious with his things.
Ares feels the closest to Mnemosyne out of the Nine. There is a small altar to her in his room, a hidden nook that he can use whenever he wants. He doesn’t flaunt this about himself, but he does enjoy the sense of peace and guidance it brings to his life.

Clumsy and very silly, Chaucer ran into his arms after wreaking havoc in the headmistress' office and being chased around by a demon freshling. He loves Ares and is always very excited to see him. His favorite way to show his excitement is by blowing raspberries at the imp. He likes to be cuddled.

She clung mighty tight to him and he opted to keep her so long a she didn't mess with Chaucer. Surprisingly the two get along rather well and Tal is very calm to be around. She likes to cuddle and sleeps curled up near Ares.

Thinking it to be the same cat, he took Tal back to the dorm as well, only to discover he was now the owner of TWO identical cats. Talos is much more energetic of the two and spends most of his time outside however. He and the other familiars get along relatively well. He likes Ares, but isn't overly fond of cuddling.

A bucket he received when visiting the Haunted hallows festival. Its currently being used to hold some trinkets and knick knacks on his shelf. The green poo was a gummy candy, which he has since eaten. The nastee gum got shoved to one side and forgotten, and hides in his room. The little ghost blows raspberries at him from above the small bed he has set up for Chaucer.
