Look below to see what activities are available, choose the one that is appropriate to your Nightmare/Daydream's stage. Make sure to include all activity instructions in your post along with your response. Failure to do so will render your participation void for growths/graduation. All in-thread posts should contain a roleplay response with a minimum of 100 words, not including the prompt for the activity if there is one.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS
The school's music festival is coming up! It's time to show off what you can do. Have you practiced a solo? Written a piano piece? Or are you attempting a drum solo with a fiddle? (lol what?)
What to do:
Roll a 10-sided dice to see how well your musical performance went. The higher the roll the better you did.
Then write 150 words (or more) about your performance.

March, 2017 Student name: Raven Prompt: We are clapping out a rhythm! You must roll TEN D20s and get at least 4 odd numbers to pass.
Response: To Raven, music was similar-ish to art, so it was an elective he could be bothered with. Besides, most drag queens were expected to know how to lip sync, a performance that definitely requires being able to keep a beat. Since he'd watched countless videos online of queens lip syncing and performances of his gay idols, he didn't find the activity particularly challenging. Of course, he felt a little ridiculous sitting there clapping, so instead he tapped out the beat on the table.

April, 2017 Student name: Ares Prompt: Treble clef! FACE vs EGBDF. "But what about the lines, you ask? I'm glad you asked! E, G, B, D, F! But that isn't so easy to remember, it doesn't spell anything! So your assignment today is to come up with a phrase to help you remember the lines of a treble clef."
Response: An ear flicked back. Ares had been doing various musical instruments since he was a freshling, so while the class probably have anything particularly new to teach him, it would be one of the last credits he needed to graduate. FACE was easy to remember and EGBDF was only a little more difficult. Coming up with a new phrase for it shouldn't be that hard.
The imp leaned back in his chair, absently chewing on his pencil. From another section of the room he could hear a couple nightmares debating various phrases. A snort of laughter escaped him as he heard one of them furiously whisper their answer to the other: "Even Good Boys Don't Flush."
Amused, he scrawled down his own phrase on the paper provided: Even Gods Bedazzle Defiant Females. Jot his name down at the top of the page and turn it in and he was done for the day.

What to do:
Roll a 6 sided dice 1: You've landed a major solo, congratulations, you're gonna be a star! (Or not) 2: You've got a small duet with one of the other students. Not bad! 3: Are you suffering from stage fright? You need to sing a little louder. No one can hear you (Re roll) 4: Ah that was... a unique rendition of the song. Maybe you should be in the chorus 5: You're a real power house! You didn't quite get one of the leading rolls, but damn are you amazing! 6: Ah... do you think you have the range for choir? How about we set you up with an instrument... (Re roll)

Response: Kara really wasn't all that surprised that she didn't do that well, singing definitely wasn't her forte even though a few friends had told her to try out for it.

May, 2017 Student name: Kara Prompt: It's audition time! The big school musical is coming up. What roll will you land?
Response: Well, more practice had definitely helped! She was glad that she could even land the small duet. She had never seen herself as much of a singer and this was definitely a bit of surprise to her, especially after her first audition. When the teacher told her, she couldn't help but jump up in excitement, she wondered if Odessa would be proud of her? She knew she didn't have a future career in music or theater, but it was definitely a neat experience to say that she had before graduating! She couldn't wait to get started on everything, even if it was going to be a lot of work!

Response: seraph was always interested when his parents sang. Sure they were professionals and supposed to make it seem flawless but he wanted to understand them more. So he had taken music. After all they loved it so much then he should as well right? Right? When he got up there though butterflies jumped around in his stomach. Nope... couldn't do this. Maybe an instrument would be better.

Response: He had panicked so badly the day before that maybe his confidence wasn't all that, maybe he just needed to be in the background on the instruments. Everyone always just paid attention to the singers right? Only he knew that wasn't the case and not tying his best was a cop out. So he had found his father as soon as he got home and drilled the man for pointers and things to keep cool. When it came time the next day he viciously squashed the butterflies in his stomach into submission and sang his best. Maybe he would never be his father but it was a start. Apparently everyone thought he did well enough that he suddenly had a small duet with another student. Now to keep his parents from showing up at the concert. He might just die if that happened. Also had to make sure none of his siblings showed up either.
June, 2017 Student name: Coco Prompt: It's audition time! The big school musical is coming up. What roll will you land?
Response: Coco finally managed to sing something, it wasn't very good, but at least she had passed the class. She had also learn that she wouldn't be using music at least in this sense to inspire her music unless someone else was doing the singing. Since Coco couldn't really sing. Oh well she had done her best to sing and just because she wasn't very good at it didn't mean she wasn't good at other things like art. She loved painting and she enjoyed hearing the others singing. Some were much better than Coco could ever hope to be. The class was interesting though.

Response:
The hybrid ascended the steps and opened her mouth to sing.... And choked. Quite literally. Aleanette had to take a moment to clear her throat and try again.

Response:
After the bout of nervous laughter at how she had choked so literally a moment ago, Aleanette took a deep breath and closed her eyes. The words of the song she had picked to sing today flowed through her mind and rolled off her tongue. Her voice, though soft and sweet, resonated with a power of heart and soul that could warm all those listening. She had picked a song with uplifting lyrics and a steady beat. Something that would make even the coldest person crack the smallest smile.
As she finished and took her curtsey, she was elated to hear she had landed a duet! After all, she probably would have choked up again had she been given a major solo. She laughed at her own silent joke as she skipped down the steps from the stage.

Response:
Calypso was excited to hear that they were going to be doing a musical! She even practiced for the part! She wanted one of the main roles but she hadn't really expected to get it. There were so many other talented students in her class so either way the lead roles would be amazing! Her ears perked as her name was called for her audition. She quickly slipped up to the stage and smiled big, "Thank you for allowing me to audition!" She told them before singing her part. She dashed around the stage and put her emotions into it, really feeling the character she was portraying! When she was done, she grinned brightly again. She knew she had done well, especially when she was told she got one of the major roles! The one she wanted at that! She felt prideful and confident. She thanked her teacher and went to watch the other students and read over her lines.
