Personality: She's still a tough old bird on the outside, but inside she's starting to wear a little thin. Now that she doesn't have the demands of leading a herd, she's found she's a bit lost and without a purpose in life.
Prompt Response: Braken hated going into highly populated areas. She always felt like she was underfoot. While the big breeds were nice enough, well most of them anyway, it made her want to steer clear completely of everyone entirely. It was probably more than high time. She was definitely feeling world-weary, while the weight of leading a herd was off her shoulders, she'd enjoyed the responsibilities. Maybe she'd look for a herd that could use an extra healer, there had to be one somewhere. Perhaps it was even time for her to find someone special again and start a new family. So many choices, and sometimes it felt like so little time.

Personality: (I'm not sure what sort of personality or what you have going for her but...)
Bracken mostly keeps to herself and her partner, Oak. She will talk and interact with others but she tends to keep that minimal. She's also not afraid to defend herself (despite her tiny size) in case something comes along. For the most part she is just seen traveling. If anything, it would do her some good to finally trust some of the larger breeds well enough to establish a decent friendship.
Prompt Response:
I've been in this land for quite some time now. It was different, and yet parts of it feel very much like home. It's comforting in a way, but I don't plan on settling down anywhere anytime soon. Despite how long I've been here now, there are places that are still untrustworthy. I can fight, and Oak helps of course, but what use is fighting when we're outnumbered?

It's better to just keep moving. Oak and I have rested here for far too long.

The little mare glanced around at her surroundings. She and her buffalo companion were still high up in the mountains, aiming to reach the desert within the next few days. It had been a long while since she had visited there and she now knew of some traders running the territory. Perhaps it was about time to find a few worth her trust. Especially since she had disbanded her own herd.

She glanced at the buffalo at her side and nodded, continuing on the path to finally descend the mountain. As she continued on, she let her thoughts wander some more.

I wonder how the rest are doing...I haven't heard from them in many moons. I can trust they're all brave and know how to defend themselves as well. Some might even have families...

Oh well. Not having the worry about foals or the elderly or even the injured is still quite nice. Just Oak and I, we got by just fine.

Personality: Bracken is determined, finding a home for her fellow Nymphs.She is very spiritual, believing in the cycle of life and speaking to the spirits for guidance. Truth be told, her closest friend is Oak, and is rather lost, but willing to help out those in need. She's not afraid to make an appearance, thus often speaking for herself and those afraid of the larger breeds.
Prompt Response:
There went the larger herd, moving slowly, slower as night began to settle. The usdia stood, silently watching as the lead stallion watched over his herd, and stopped to acknowledge the smaller mare with a friendly whicker. Whether she heard him or not did not really concern her. The larger herd was leaving, but so were some members of her herd. Day by day the decorated mare watched and heard the requests of her herd members to leave and settle down with their own new lives and families. It hurt her a bit, knowing that many of her close friends left, and with the determination of pride inside, the mare did not need a stallion by her side, or at least, not yet. The stallion of the larger herd though, seemed to take notice of the mare's dying herd, and seemed to always turn back every few hours to see if the nymph mare was still around. Still, she did not take much consideration into him. Sure, there were some who teased her small size, but the stallion would always take her side, telling his "normal" sized friends that she was just simply uniquely different. Every day the stallion would ask for her name, but she would always refuse to answer, not knowing the reason why. One day though, the buffalo friend of the mare returned after a spiritual adventure, and the two headed off, away from the lands they once called home. Before leaving though, she silently approached the kind stallion she knew for the past few years, and simply said, "Bracken." She longed for the stallion to follow and understand what was going on, but she knew he had responsibilities too.
