Crescendo stirred in what little early morning light the dark forest grove allowed in. His mind was telling him that it was still far too early to wake up, and everything else within him was agreeing. The only disagreement was the little nudges against his body every few minutes. The stallion offered a grunt in response, and moved slightly to turn his back on the nudges.
"Del...stop...s'too early...still tired..." He mumbled, unaware that his mate was still sound asleep on the other side of the baskets between them.
The sound of silence greeted him in return. Crescendo smiled a bit to himself and tried to completely fall back asleep. It wasn't long after that, that the nudges returned...this time joined by light nips. The green stallion grunted again and rolled over once more to avoid the disturbances. A little green nose popped in and out of it's basket several times over the course of the morning. Often times biting at the grass and other plants littering the forest floor, but occasionally managing to bump against something else. Something larger, warm...and still green!
Little pink eyes soon followed the nose, peeking out from under the lid of the now fraying basket. With each grunt from the stallion beside the basket, the little filly crawled out further. He kept moving away! How was that fair at all? Getting her front legs out, the rest of her toppled into the grass with them. With a light sneeze and a smile, the little green filly pulled herself up and tumbled again this time against Crescendo. She smiled after a moment and snuggled into the warmth his body provided.
Once she felt safe, she raised her head and watched the nearby peachy colored mare and two fraying baskets, similar to her now abandoned one.

It had come as a bit of a surprise and shock to Del to find that once again she was expecting. A little heart breaking too as they'd had to send their older boys off for the time being. At least Pachelbel was relatively close by and could visit, but Beat...well she could only hope Beat was safe with her parents and extended family.
The other thing that bothered her was that these children wouldn't come into the world in the warm happy grove that she and Cres called home but in the clearing that Clef, Cres's mother resided. It wasn't all bad though. This was were she'd spent a good portion of her foalhood, and Cres had burst through his own basket here, but it still wasn't their home so there was still a bittersweet note to it.
The sound of popping made Del flick an ear, waking slightly from her dreams. That sound was familiar, but she couldn't tell if it was from the baskets between them or dreams of when her boys had come into the world. One pink colored leg burst through the walls of it's basket. Another a moment later, although this caused some distress to the little filly inside as she was now very much upside down. She wriggled and squirmed until she'd just about shredded the top of her basket and then managed to right herself and stand wobbly in the middle of it.
Little wings slowly started to unfurl from her back, now having room to spread out. She looked around with bright yellow eyes and was suddenly captivated by the other still mostly intact basket. She giggled and attempted to move towards it, but got caught on the edge of her own and tumbled to the ground. She grunted, but wasn't all that distressed by her fall and soon made her way to the last of the baskets and started to nose it.

Lyric took longer to emerge, though it stayed true to his future personality. He had been content in his basket. It was comforting, dark, and rather familiar. He could ignore the tightness around his frame for the time being, since his body had grown big enough to feel slightly cramped. But, cramped was okay. Cramped was just fine. Oh. He heard a grunt near his basket, form twitching slightly within his own basket. Hrmpf, maybe it was too cramped, but that didn't mean he needed to leave anytime soon, right? Well, then there was the nudging he could feel coming from one side. It was consistent, as if something was telling him: " Get out already!". Well, what if he didn't want to? The nudging, however, had other plans. Fine, maybe he should escape, if it was possible. It had to be, right? With a weak little squirm, the foal managed to burst a leg through his basket, as his sister had done. Some squirming was forced, as he quickly realized he wasn't getting anywhere on his back. The basket wobbled, then flipped and opened for the little foal. He came out rolling, colliding into his mother, who was closest. Bright blue eyes whipped open in alarm before he sat upright, calmed. A quick glance in both directions and he spotted a sleeping mother, father, and two other creatures who were wide awake and looked similar to him, minus the wings on the back of one. With a flick of his green mane, the foal tilted his head and leaned back to nudge the winged sister, who was also closer. Well, maybe he was happy he left that stupid basket.

Del grunted as she felt something collide with her. She blearily brought her head up and blinked her eyes. "Hm...?" she yawned and tried to clear the cobwebs from her brain before looking around and suddenly snapping awake as she realized what had happened. "Oh! Oh!" she squealed happily as she got her feet under herself and got up.
They were finally here. "Cres! Cres!" she cried out happily as she swooped in on the boy and winged girl. "You're here! You're beautiful, my lovelies!" she said nuzzling each of them. She looked around suddenly confused. Where was the third? Then she spotted the second filly. She was nearly invisible nestled into Cres like that. "Come here, little love." she called happily. The pink filly giggled as her brother nudged her back. She bounced clumsily around him nearly falling into him a few times before stopping in front of him again. She was about to say something when the mare who could only be momma swooped in on them. She gave a happy squeal and instantly nuzzled into Del's chest. "Momma~" she said with a happy sigh.

Claves beamed happily at the greeting from her mother and stood back up on her wobbly legs. "Mommy!" She called out, attempting to leap past her siblings to get closer and inevitably falling on her face. Claves grunted and looked up in frustration, jealous that both her siblings were standing and she was having such problems.Crescendo quickly raised his head, quite alarmed at his mate's yelling. "What?! What happened Del--" The sight of the three little ones before him effectively silenced him. "Out already huh...?" He asked, standing up and gently nosing the fallen filly back to her feet. "It's a shame Pach and Beat aren't here right now..." He mumbled, nuzzling each of them. The little green filly returned his affections then took another wobbly step towards her mother. She was determined to get there no matter what it took. Unfortunately it was taking her longer to get over there than she had hoped. "Momma...." Claves whined softly at her, collapsing in a frustrated heap at her feet.

Lyric watched the others, the only one who hadn't spoken yet. As if a hint at their future with him in it, he seemed to stay as silent as he would be for most family events. He was awkward, and even as a newly emerged little boy he was already displaying such behavior. He viewed his parents quietly, having accepted the nuzzles with a quiet smile before he seemed to edge away to view his entire family. A content smile seemed to rest on his face, mostly because now he could see the owners of the voices he had heard for so long. Wait! What did he look like? Did he look like his mother and father? Did he have his fathers color or mothers? Glancing down, he could see a soft green.... but a tiny bit of pink peeked before his eyesight was cut off. Claves' flopping about seemed to catch him with alarm. His eyes flicked right over to view her, a protective urge to cuddle his sister already forming. With a quiet wobble, the male made his way right over, squished into her side, and rested his head onto her neck. "You'll walk soon." Was the only sentence of comfort he offered, and it sounded vaguely..... off? Well, you try speaking properly as a newborn colt! It was not easy, thank you! With a quiet glance towards the other sister, Timpani, he seemed absolutely content where he was and made no further move to approach either his parents or Timpani.

Del gave a small gasp as the green filly seemed to have such problems. She was relieved to see that her brother was already willing to comfort her and soothe her. "Oh, little one." she said carefully moving just a bit away from the pink filly so that she could lean down and nuzzle the two foals at her hooves. "Give it a little time. You'll be just fine in a bit." she said gently.
She then looked up at Cres and giggled a bit. "I hope you figured out some names, because I wasn't really expecting girls at all, and only came up with more boy names." she said with a sheepish smile.
With that she looked down at the colt still nestled with his sister. "And I think...Lyric." she then nodded. "Yes, I definitely think you are a Lyric. What do you think little man?" she asked giving him an affectionate nudge. The pink filly perked at the sound of names. She bounced forward to be more in between her parents and siblings and flicked her wings several times. "Me! Me! What's my name, Papa, Momma?" she giggled and bounced a few more times her little wings fluttering as she seemed unable to keep still or her hooves on the ground.

Crescendo glanced up at his mate. He knew they hadn't really discussed names, but he had to wonder why she was only expecting boys again. He sighed, gave her a look but ultimately couldn't help but smile.
"Right...names...uhm..." He looked back down at the three before him, running various names through his head. The little, peachy filly was beginning to remind him a lot of the drums he had seen humans use. The way she was hopping up and down, the sound her hooves made as they hit the ground...it was all very familiar.
"What about Timpani?" Crescendo asked, glancing back up at Rondel as if he wasn't allowed to make decisions like this on his own.Claves snuggled against her brother and smiled. It made her happy to know he was there for her already. Someone she would be able to talk to perhaps. She giggled and snorted before turning her attention to her parents. Names? She didn't have a name...would they remember to name her too?!
"Me! Why don't I have a name yet?!" She cried out in a panic, falling to the ground in a heap at her brother's feet.Crescendo smiled and walked over to nuzzle the little green filly. "Don't panic, we didn't forget you." He said, looking her over. He scrunched his face up in thought, trying to find something that suited her.
"Claves.""Claves?""Claves. ...what don't you like it?" He asked, suddenly worried his choice in names wasn't good enough."Claves..." The little filly scrunched up her own face in thought, much like she'd seen her father just do. She let the gears in her head grind away for what seemed like forever before beaming back at him happily.
"I'm Claves!"

Lyric was taken aback by Claves upset state, immediately moving to nuzzle her cheek gently. Her flop only caused even more concern as he smoothly, swiftly nudged her against his side and rested his head onto the back of her neck, humming quietly. He didn't like seeing his sister upset! Only a few minutes in this world and he was already fretting! However, Crescendo spoke and bestowed a name upon the filly, leaving Lyric with a face of wonder. Claves and Timpani. What interesting names. A name was a label, right? Those names were who those two were, right? So who was he? What name did he earn? The male decided that he'd worry later, focusing on Claves and Timpani quietly. Claves seemed to like her name and she appeared to find joy in finally having a name. Good. She was easy to please at the moment. Now to see if Timpani accepted her name!

"Tipi!" the little peach mare exclaimed and started to bounce around again. "Tipi! Tipi! Tipi!" she said with a giggle and nuzzled up to her father. "I'm Timpani~" she said delighted and finally seemed to settle for the moment and stop moving around so much. Rondel frowned as the little colt didn't seem to respond to his name. Did he not like it? She moved closer and nuzzled the back of his head. "Do you not like it, little man?" she asked. "I can come up with another if you don't feel like you're a Lyric." she said. "Sometimes names just don't fit right." she said with a smile.

Lady Argentum Draconis I AM SORRY I'VE DELAYED US. BAH. Lyric watched Tipi with a raised eyebrow before looking back towards Rondel. Suddenly, it hit. She had spoken to him before. His head jerked up to nuzzle her, an apologetic gesture. Her smile caused, immediately, his own to appear, though it was smaller and a tad more reserved. "I like it." His voice came out smooth and gentle as he seemed to accept the name. Lyric. He was Lyric. He was someone. With another nuzzle, again apologetic, he seemed more inclined to nestle into his mother now as he watched his sisters seem to embrace their names.

Del smiled and then looked across at Cres. "Well that's handled." she said, leaning down to nuzzle Lyric and Claves. "Such an eventful morning. I wish Pach and Beat were here." she sighed and shook her head.
"All this racket I'm sure your mother and sister will come investigate if they're close. Either that or they'll be very surprised when they get back." she said with a laugh. Timpani smiled at her siblings then buzzed her wings and was distracted by a flower not that far away. She bounced over and shoved her nose in it and then reared up with a sneeze. "Ticklely!" she said with a giggle then bounced back over to her father and snuggled again. Mameha Otome So'kay Yushi, This was more my fault. I was away for half a week and then took another few days to get around to all my tags.

Crescendo nodded and smiled back at his mate reassuringly. "I'm sure Pach and Beat will be home to visit soon. They should know how to find us here...I hope." He stopped to think about that for a moment. He was sure they had brought both the boys here before after all. Tipi's snuggling brought him back out of his thoughts and he smiled down at her.
"Having fun exploring the world?" He asked, nuzzling her gently.Claves huffed slightly and threw herself back down into the grass where she looked between her parents and siblings. Pink eyes then focused heavily on Timpani and her father. What were those pretty, sparkly things on their backs? She quickly turned her head to look at her own back and became increasingly disappointed that she didn't have any.
Her attention quickly turned back towards them. Claves pushed herself up after a moment and moved towards her sister, nipping at her wings. "Gimmie--!"Quote: Whoever wants to take next.

Timpani looked up at her father and nodded. "Uhhuh." she said with a grin.
Little wings flicked as her sister nibbled at her. She looked over at Claves and then back at her wings and buzzed them. "I can't." she said. "They don't come off." she said. She buzzed them a few more times making sure that was true. "Yup, stuck to me." she giggled and wriggled excitedly suddenly amused by the fact. Rondel frowned slightly at Claves instance that her sister give her her wings. She didn't ever remember that sort of behavior between Beat and Pachelbel, but then again every foal was different. She moved over to the two girls. "Those are wings, sweetie. They don't come off." she said with a gentle amused voice, giving Claves a nuzzle. "But you're beautiful just the way you are." she said.

Claves accepted the nuzzle from her mother, but kept eyeing Timpani's wings carefully. She huffed and puffed again, slightly agitated by the fact she didn't have wings like her sister did. How was that fair at all?
Eventually she turned around to find where her brother went, giving him a good once over for wings as well and not seeing any. "...how come we don't have wings...?" She mumbled, trotting away from Rondel to go bug her brother.
