"Mom, do we have to keep them?" Vincent complained. He was looking at the two pinkly wrapped bundles. They were loud, kept everyone up at night when they were hungry, and slept through the day. In a way, they were like cats.
At least, all the bad things about cats. The babies didn't purr or have fur. They didn't sleep on your bed like cats did, and they weren't relatively pretty. (Though adults seemed to gush over them like anything.) All Vinny could see was a mass of wrinkly pink skin. Were all babies made this way?
Was this what he'd looked like when he was a baby? He didn't know, he didn't have any pictures. The lab hadn't sent him any when he'd been sent to live with his parents. He had very little memory of the place he'd been born into. Maybe that was a good thing, he didn't know.
He looked at his mother and father, and then at the babies. Josh seemed to get along with them alright--he was protective of them in any case. He nodded. "I guess we can keep them, after all." He decided. They weren't that much different than him--well, they didn't have wings, scales or a tail like he did, but still. They really weren't so different.
Thali just gave him a smile, and handed him one of the infants. "Her name's Reiya." She told him. "Reiya, meet Vinny. Your older brother."
Now that had a nice ring to it. He was the older brother now.

Written March 8th, 2009 "I can float!" Vinny said, showing his mother. If Thali hadn't known better, she would have said he sounded proud. Pleased, in any case. She knew he'd been trying to 'fly' for several months, ever since he'd met up with other children who could. "Very good." His mother praised, and waited for the denial of her compliment. Right on cue. "Not good. You could do it too, if you had wings." He said. "Anyone who does flies better than I do--I just float." He demonstrated for her. It certainly wasn't flying, he wasn't flapping his wings. He was more.. hanging in the air. Almost as if he could walk on it. He dropped to the floor as easily as he'd started floating. "I'm not very good at it." Vinny said modestly. Of course he was modest, he was the son of Humility. "But I'll get better. Someday." Thali hoped that one day, his self esteem would improve as well. There was such a thing as being too modest.

"This is stupid." Joshua complained. "Why do we have to see him? He's so dull." He was talking about his cousin Alexei. Who was, to a fault, peaceful. "He's boring!"
Vinny shrugged. "He's not that bad." He said. His older brother frowned at him, and shook his head. The younger boy didn't understand. Why couldn't they all get along? Alexei was the color of Gold, the color of money. Vinny's favorite color. That obviously made him a good guy.
"How can you say that? He skips the best part in fairy tales!" Josh said. "It's like he's afraid!" Vinny frowned slightly. This sounded familar.
"Yeah, but he's younger than we are." He pointed out. "We can teach him to not do that." He paused, not knowing how to explain this. "Like when you were little. You had troubles being brave." Josh scowled at him, but didn't deny it. Vinny continued. "We can help him like Mom and Dad helped you."
Josh nodded in silent agreement. "I guess that could work." He said. "As long as he doesn't skip the best parts." The best parts were always the parts where the Prince saved the day, before he got the Princess. Usually when the prince fought an evil dragon, or a wizard, Alexei told them to go to the next page. Lame.

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:
Guardians Name: Child's Name: Sin: Virtue: Gender: Current Attitude: Likes: Dislikes: Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars ) Current hair style: Current clothing preferences: Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)
Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them? As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.
Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.
Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.
Thank you.
You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.
(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)
