Zuba laid on top of the jungle gym, her eyes closed and face turned towards the sun, basking in it's warm rays. It'd been a slow day at the park, so she hadn't been bothered much. Her hoodie was nice and warm, having soaked in and retained the warm fuzzy goodness of summer sunlight. A small smile played across her face as she listened to the quietness of an almost-empty park. She could hear the birds chirping and the faint gushing sound of the warm southerly breeze that swept through the area.

Nothing could be more perfect than this; peace and quiet. And no Ginger here, reminding her how stupid she was, or how ugly she was... She pushed the thoughts out of her mind, reminding herself she came here to get away from those things. She sighed, stretching a bit before putting her arms behind her head, using them as a pillow.

"Hello..." Zuba's whispery voice waved across to the boy, even if she didn't see him. Her eyes remained closed, face still upturned. In fact, she hadn't even moved, except her lips to talk. She didn't even know who was there, to be honest, but it was only polite to greet them. Her eyes opened lazily, her lids sliding into a half-opened position, much like a snake basking in the sun. "Oh....hello, Vincent." she said, smiling faintly at the boy who, in her line of sight, was upside down.

'Zuba smiled, chuckling. "'M great." she said, which was odd for her. She usually just said she was fine, or changed the subject. She sat up before dropping down onto her feet, landing gracefully on the ground below as she headed over to the other boy. Her movements, while gracefully, were still slow and unhurried; sun-induced sleepiness, while somewhat bothersome, was rather comfortable. "How are you?" She asked, stopping a few feet away from the boy.

'Zuba shrugged. "Mother is....Mother. She's fine as usual." she said, not seeming to care one way or another. Mother was busy with everyone else...it felt like Mother was lost to her now. Not that she cared. No...not that she cared at all. She knew Mother loved her, but still. The twins, mainly Ginger, had been leeching attention away that used to be hers.

"'S okay. Sleeping alot, but is fine." she said, worry playing across her face. She then looked to Vincent, tilting her head. "Okay?" she asked.

"Understand..." 'Zuba said, nodding. "Doesn't mean to, though. Don't think she knows." She offered a small smile. "Join?" she said, motioning to the jungle gym. "'S warm and cozy." She offered a small smile to her longtime friend. "Helps calm down. Get rid of bad thoughts."

'Zuba smiled, climbing up onto her jungle gym. "'Nything else on mind?" she asked softly, looking at him. She wasn't completely dense; she could tell when something was off. She offered a small smile; see? She was willing to listen to whatever you had to say.

'Zuba froze. "...what?" she said, surprise etched in her tone. But, he was like a brother to her! And, she already liked someone... Well, her calm just went flying out the winder. She hated to burst his bubble, but it had to be done.

"Vincent..." she started, taking a deep breath. "I like someone already. Sorry." While it sounded blunt, she tried to put it as gently as she could manage.

'Zuba sighed, imagining how this must feel for the boy. "Sorry." she said, before hugging him. "Like a brother, though." she offered, as if that would make him feel better. She then offered a sheepish grin. "Like Adhara." she said, a faint touch of color rosying up her cheeks.
