Kliken was never more excited in his whole entire life then when he got the letter. It even beat out the day he got to meet his egg since the note said that soon he would get the meet the dragon. He clung to the letter like it were some sort of life line and then got a pen to fill out the form that was attached to it. Some of the questions were a bit hard to answer since his dragon's egg seemed to be really good at hiding and because there was a lot the teacher didn't even seem to know about... it was odd. He filled it in the best that he could before he gave the filled in form to his mother to send back but kept the letter with him wanting to read it again and again. (( Having this as Post-Meta )) <3

A Mother's Gift
Lucrecia gave a smile as she opened a small mail order package and looked over the contents closely before turning to Than, holding her hands out, "Ta-dah!" She said, giving her familiar her best possible smile.
Than glanced down at the small, green glazed item then tilted his head to the side, "Your taking up music now Mistress?" He asked, sounding a bit unsure about the idea. Lucrecia was many things but he didn't think musical genius was among those things.
She shook her head, "No, this is for Kliken." She said, giving a soft smile as she looked the item over closely then gave a little sigh, "Since he came home I know I have been... ahh..." She trailed off thinking for the right word.
"Motherly? Over protective? Smothering?" Than filled in then gave a laugh when the vampire gave him one of her death glares, something he'd learned a long time ago meant nothing coming from her if you weren't an enemy.
Once she got the glare of her system she replaced the ocarina back into the back with the books that she'd purchased and a cloth pouch that he could either wear around his neck or put in his pocket, "I know that I have been... all of those things and more. Since he came home I haven't let him go any where else, have been watching him carefully, haven't let him even go outside... but..." She looked over at Than, her eyes showing a very unnatural fear in them, "Living things... they get sick and they get hurt and they die Than... If I keep a close eye on him then that won't happen!"
The man's eyes widened before he reached out to take her hands in his, giving them a gentle squeeze, "We do get hurt, sick, and we do die but if we focused only on that things wouldn't go to smoothly. Instead its best we living creatures think on the good, not the bad." He told her, lifting her hands up so that he could kiss the backs of them, "Kliken will do better when he can go back to school, when he can see his friends again."
Lucrecia fixed him with a dark glare before sighing, "I don't want to let him out of my sight yet, not until I know for certain he is alright in all ways." She said then looked down into the box, her features looking a little guilty, "The letter the other day perked him up, that his dragon could hatch any day. Did I tell you I called them, told them even if it were in the middle of the night when it hatched that they had to call us, that we would get him there in time? I don't want him to miss that, it means the world to him that dragon."
She shook her head, "Until then I hope this gift helps to make up for me keeping him on lock down..." She turned and started for the bedroom that Kliken had taken over. The room itself was still quite simple, the boy was still working on figuring out what he liked and what he wanted to decorate it with. The walls were bare, shelves stood empty... she sighed a bit. He was a good kid but he didn't seem the sort to get attached to things, he had a lab coat from D-Corp that was in need of a good washing and a thick, hard covered book that was full of blank paper that he used to practice his handwriting but aside from that the place seemed so empty.
Shouldn't a child's room be filled with toys? Posters? Games? Bright colors and stuff like that? She didn't know for sure but it felt like what should be there and what was missing... along with her son. She knew exactly where he was though. She crossed the room going to the large, double doors that stood open and stepped into the atrium that the room was attached too. He was sitting at the edge of the pool, bare feet dangling in the water, and he was holding in his hands the note he'd received from D-Corp.
A smile was on his face, his eyes closed, and he seemed to be lost in thought at the moment. He had been like this since the note came, lost in a dream where he was running around with Tural, playing with the dragon, swimming, and learning. She moved to sit down beside him cross legged, resting the package on her legs, "You look happy."
He nodded, leaning against her without opening his eyes and hugged the letter to his chest, "I am." He murmured, "Tural will be with me soon." His tone of voice was so very in awe but held an unsure note to it, as though despite the letter he held he didn't believe that the dragon would soon be here, "So... long waiting and now... I will get to meet Tural. I don't know... how to say how I feel... happy isn't enough."
She leaned over to kiss the top of his head, "Such a sweet thing you are." She said, then gave him a bright smile, "I got you a present!"
He sat up, turning to look at her in a confused manner, "Why?" It wasn't his birthday, wasn't a special occasion... why would he be getting a gift? He gazed up at her, unblinking with those jewel toned eyes of his and she couldn't help but sigh and purse her lips.
"Does there need to be a special reason for your mother to bring you a gift?" She asked, reaching a hand out to brush his unruly hair away from his face.
"Ummm... no?" He guessed, figuring from her question that it was the right answer. He may be young but he was already able to read people very well, lots of time on his own to study them he figured.
She nodded, then held the box out to him, "Here you go! I hope you enjoy it! Though it will take a bit of practice... I think it will be good for you though, to have something like this."
Kliken set the letter ever so carefully behind him where it would be safe before he took the box from her, taking out all the things within. There were two books of sheet music that he flipped through first before he opened found the ocarina. It was a pretty sort of green, like the shell of Tural's egg, "Wow." He murmured, lifting it up to inspect it, "What is it?" He finally had to ask.
"It an ocarina, a simple musical instrument for you to play. The books will help you to learn how to play." She told him, grinning.
"Ocarina." He murmured, then nodded his head, "Yes, thank you." He liked the idea, to be able to learn to play music would be nice, maybe his dragon would like his songs? Maybe Damaris would too! He gave a happy sound as he imagined being able to play for her... then starred at the instrument, worried. No... he couldn't think about playing for anyone yet. He would have to look over the books, would have to practice until he figured out how to play it correctly. He didn't want to play badly for his friend after all. Once he got good enough he thought with a determined look on his face.
"Your welcome." She murmured, then reached a hand to brush his hair back away from his face, "Kliken... do you want to go back to school?"
He looked up at her for a long moment before he gave nod, "I do." He said, as he set the instrument down on top of his precious letter and picked up one of the books to thumb through, the one that said 'Getting Started' on the cover, "There is a lot that I can learn there, lots of stuff going on... I don't... ever... want to go back to stay but for classes, yes."
Lucrecia gave him a tight hug then, one he hadn't expected so it got a little grunt out of him before she said in a resolute sort of way, "I don't want you worrying about that, I want you to worry about what boys your age should worry about."
He blinked, "Umm... what is that?" He asked, wondering what he should worry about at the moment.
"I don't know.. girls? Homework? Whether you will be able to grow facial hair? I am not sure what boys worry about." She said, looking a bit unsure.
Kliken blinked a couple times then gave a laugh, "Ahh... ok. I will worry about that sort of stuff." He was certain that she was joking around with him now, why would he worry about facial hair? He hopped up to his feet and gathered all of his stuff into the box and picked it up.
"Ready to learn already?" She asked as she rose gracefully to her feet.
He nodded, "Lots of practice before I can play for others." He told her, smiling before he lead the way back to his room.

A Few Off Notes
Kliken was sitting in the Atrium, eyes closed and his fingers were moving slowly over the holes of the instrument as he played. Every now and again he would pause when a note went sour, would then set the instrument aside so that he could study his books and the song he was attempting and then would try it again. Music was filling most of his time of late, helping him to distract himself as he had been told that hovering around the phone wasn't going to make it ring any faster... Tural would hatch when Tural was ready Than had told him, until then he had to find something else to do other then stalk the home appliances.
He gave a jump, coming out of his calm, drifting state of mind as one of his notes went bad, a bit painfully high pitched, and lowered the ocarina so that he could stare at it, "Hmm... that was odd." He set it carefully on his lap and picked up the book, looking the song over. He'd picked one that he thought he could figure out because it was marked as a starter song. He looked over the note that had just went bad on him and then picked up the second book to study finger positioning to make that note work right.
Practice, he needed lots and lots of practice he thought as he lifted up the instrument to his lips again and started to play the one note that he'd messed over over and over to make sure that he got it to sound good, sound right. Once it sounded right, when it didn't make the awful high pitched sound that it made before he started into the song once again.
This music stuff was complicated, was hard but... when he got the notes to work in the right order they did sound nice. He lowered his instrument to his lap when he finished the son and laid back on the grassy ground of the Atrium and let his eyes close.
"Such lovely sounds for having only working with you instrument for only a day. It does seem like your putting a lot into it." A soft voice said, that of Shion, one of the other Coven members. Looks wise she appeared to be the oldest in the groups, looking like she were in her mid thirties or early forties. She moved to settle down next to Kliken, brushing a hand over her long, ornate skirt.
Kliken sat up quickly, "Y-Yes... M-Mom got it f-for me and I wanted t-to do well with h-her gift." He said in a stuttering rush. He never did well with new people, less so when they slipped up behind him. Shion never seemed to make a sound when she walked and it made it so easy for her to slip up behind him and other members of the coven. It was unnerving some days as she dressed in the most brightly colored, fluffy, ornate dresses, and yet one never saw her coming until she was already there.
The woman lowered a gloved hand to pat him on the head, "There, there. You don't need to fear me, I did not mean to scare you." She said in a soothing manner before she leaned forward, "Would you be so kind as to play again for me?"
Kliken looked up at her then away, nodding as he lifted it up, "I am not very good..." He murmured, sounding a bit unsure of himself.
She gave him a smile, "Its alright little Kliken. I am just curious."
He was silent for a long moment before nodding, lifting the instrument up and started to play. It wasn't bad given the amount of time he had been at the learning, it sounded like a song and there were only a few slip ups that caused sour notes. He lowered it when he was done, flushing though it was hard to tell against his dark colored skin, "S-Sorry... Not g-good but I am practicing. If... If I c-could play for you a-again? L-Later.."
"You are doing well for a beginner. Maybe music is in your blood." She said, giving him a smile, "Practice is important as it is with everything that you may want to be a part of. For music it is also important to put your heart and soul into it, music is an extension of ones self."
Kliken listened to Shion with wide eyes before he hugged his instrument to himself, "I will d-do my best." He whispered to the woman, sounding shy now but excited at the same time. That the ocarina's song was a part of him. It was a nice idea, one he took to heart, "T-Thank you."
Shion nodded, "Do you mind me staying here with you while you play?" She asked.
He shook his head rapidly, "I-I don't m-mind." He whispered, before he lifted his ocarina to his lips again and started to play his song once more.

A 'Morning' Wake Up Call
It was just after the sun had set that the phone started to ring, a loud sound that cut through the quiet of the house waking those who saw sunset as being 'far to early' to be getting phone calls. It was Than that rose first, moving to pick up and answered with a friendly if somewhat sleepy, "Good Evening, Belladona residence."
There was chattering on the other end of the line, rushed and excited. It took him a moment to translate before he nodded rapidly despite the fact that the one on the other end of the line couldn't hear him, "Yes, yes. I will make sure he gets there as soon as possible." He said before listening again, more closely then nodded again, "Yes, that is all that Kliken eats... why? ... Ahh I see. Alright, alright. We will see you soon." The moment that the familiar hung up he was dashing down the hallway, to the room that his Mistress stayed in first to wake her before moving onto Kliken's room.
The boy was roused when he knocked on the door and then entered, moving to the dresser where the boy's clothing was kept and started to get it out for him.
"Hmmm... Than? What's going on?" He asked with a yawn, rubbing at his eyes.
"We need to get to D-Corp, quickly. The tech that called said that Tural is going to hatch at any time." He said without looking over his shoulder, getting out a pair of shorts and a tank top for his boy.
There was a squeak from Kliken, the sound of his struggling to get out from under his blanket, and then a 'thud' as he fell out of bed. He recovered quickly, dashing over to Than and grabbed the clothing that he was holding and quickly set to dressing, "R-Really? W-Where is Mom? W-We can leave n-now?" He asked, tossing his pajamas onto the bed, moved to retreive the pouch that sat on his night stand and hung it around his neck before moving toward the door.
"Yes, we are leaving now and Mistress is getting dressed herself. I had to wake the both of you. Its good to see your getting to be on the same scheduel as the rest of the coven." Than said, following after Kliken who was nearly running at this point his hair fluttering behind him as he moved.
The boy came to a near sliding halt when his mother's door opened and then he lunged forward, wrapping himself around her legs, "T-Tural is gonna h-hatch!" He cried, eyes wide with delight and excitement, "C-Come on!" He tugged on her arm before turning to rush off toward where the car was kept.
Lucrecia gave a little chuckle, turning to Than, "Its so nice to see him os excited and happy, he was so frightened when he first came to stay with us." She murmured before following after her son with a soft smile on her lips. So, today was the day... the day they brought a dragon into their household. It was going to be one interesting day she thought with a bit of a smile on his face.
Than merely nodded, opening the back door for Lucrecia and Kliken, closing it behind them. He moved around to the front of the car then, climbing into the drivers seat and they were soon on their way toward D-Corp.

Meeting Tural
There was a tech waiting at the door to the building when they arrived. The woman seemed quite excited and Than recognized her voice as being the one that he spoke with on the phone. He motioned a hand at him, "Quickly now." She said, giving Kliken a smile and then led him along with mother and Than. It was a fast paced walk and it was only when they reached the elevator which they had to wait on did she speak again, "Alright, we need you to take this." She handed a very familiar item over to Kliken, a blood bag.
He looked at it and then up at her, "F-Food?" He asked, curiosity in his voice.
She nodded, "We were told that this sort of dragon is one that bonds over a meal, we want you to eat with it. When it hatches the first thing it does is eats the kelp that is wrapped around the egg it hatches from."
There was a ding from the elevator and the group was ushered inside, "If you want to make a good first impression then eating with the Cruzoor hatchling is the best way to do so." She said, pressing the button that would take them to the correct floor and upon arrive they were once more moving a quick pace, "I will ask that your mother and father stay back with me, this moment is for you and the hatchling only."
Though there was a bit of excitement among the techs, the first hatching of one of the new breeds had a lot of people curious wanting to see it. She had been lucky, drawing the long straw and got to be there in person while others had to watch via a camera, "Alright here we are." She said, motioning for Kliken to go forward when they entered a familiar room, one he'd visited on several occasions when he wanted to check in on Tural's egg.
The little leech boy swallowed nervously, looking into the room before he hurried along forward remembered exactly where Tural's egg was being kept. The egg was out of the water now, its pretty teal colored shell twitching and shifting, and Kliken could hear a sort of chirping sound along with scratching from inside. His eyes went wide and he knelt down in front of the egg, reaching a hand out to touch it. He felt a kick against where his hand was laying and gasped when cracks appeared on the shell. It seemed as though he were just in time he thought to himself, "Wow." He breathed, eyes unblinking as he watched the shell of the egg. More and more cracks appeared and he could hear more movement, more scratching, more chirps from the one within the egg.
"You can do it." He murmured to the one in the egg, laying his hands gently against it once again. He was so happy to feel him moving, to hear the sound that was the voice of his dragon. He wasn't aware until he felt droplets hitting his hands that he was crying... he was so happy, so excited, and he couldn't hold back the tears as much as he tried.
There was a chirping sound again, a crackling, and then a hand came through the egg grasping at the outside of the shell and the kelp that was wrapped there. It grasped about a bit more and Kliken reached out to touch the hand. There was a squeak from the hatchling and the hand pulled inside the shell once more. There was a bit of shifting, some pushing and the hole the hand had come out of got bigger when a section of egg broke off. The leech boy reached forward to pick it up and set it aside, "Tural?" He murmured, looking at the spotted and grayish colored skin he could see.
There was a sound like a grunt and then the one within the egg gave a mighty push... the egg creaked and crackled before falling into two pieces. The dragon within rolled over onto its four feet, shaking off and then looked around at the world that it had come into. Its eyes darted back and forth before coming to land for a moment on Kliken who was holding the second of egg still. The Cruzzor gave a chirp, reaching forward to grab hold of the egg shell and the kelp that was stuck to it and set to chewing.
"Oh! Yes." Kliken murmured, reaching over to pick up the blood back and opened the top of it, "I-I am going to have b-breakfast with you, if you d-don't mind." He said, taking a sip from the bag.
Tural starred at him with its small eyes, his long whiskers twitching for a moment before he set to eating, taking big bites out of the half of the egg that it wasn't sitting in and munched on the shell and the tasty, tasty kelp wrapped around and stuck to the shell. Between bites the dracling would glance over at Kliken, watching the one who was eating with him but not taking his food and each time he looked Tural started to like him more and more. He shuffled back so that he could set to work gulping down the shell and kelp that he had been sitting on. It was only when the entirety of his meal was gone did he move forward closer to Kliken and set to sniffing at him and what was in his hands, curious as to what the boy was eating.
"I-I don't know if you would like it." Kliken said, pouring a bit of the red, metallic scented and flavored liquid onto his hand.
The young dragon sniffed at it then inhaled deeply to take a bit of it into his mouth. Tural's head tilted to the side and his mouth moved, working the taste around for a moment trying to decide whether it was one that he liked or not. After a moment he approved and sucked all the rest off of Kliken's hand.
The leech gave a soft laugh, "Your a hungry one aren't you?" He said, reaching forward to touch the dragon in an awed sort of way. As he did so Tural reached out to grabbed hold of the bag Kliken held and gave it a squeeze... then there was blood everywhere, on Tural, on Kliken, and on the floor... and the dragon was quickly doing his best to clean up the tasty, tasty mess.
Kliken couldn't help but giggle, "Wow... very hungry. Come on, you can come home with me. We have lots of stuff there that you can eat. We have the pool all ready for you, it has fish and plants and stuff in it. I bet you could eat any of that."
Tural looked up at him, curious as to what the 'fish and plants' would taste like, moving to follow the boy only after the mess he'd made from squeezing the blood bag was sufficiently cleaned up.

Elementary Magic ManifestationAnother Magic Class, this one with a REAL Mage for a teacher. Kliken was lucky enough to be allowed to sit in despite not having signed up for the class. ***** "Do you think that this is a large enough space?" He asked of Tural as the two of them went into the atrium that was attached to his room with the intentions of working on the Spell Casting homework that was sent home with them. The Cruzoor lifted his head to glance around, squinting slightly before he gave a huffing sound as though to say that it seemed big enough to him. The strangely shaped, catfish like dragon shuffled forward and slid into the pool with a surprisingly small splash for one his size. Kliken chalked it up to his shape being right for just sliding into the water. The dragon swam a couple laps before surfacing, waiting, and watching Kliken in a hopeful manner. The leech boy smiled, showing many sharp teeth, "I will come in after my homework, I promise." He told the dragon before he settled down on the ground near to the pool and took out the notebook that was marked 'Magic Notes' and set flipping through it to the sections he'd earlier marked. One were the words of the teacher explaining to the class how to first access the powers that were inherent to each of them and the next marked spot was the assignment that had been given out to all of them. He let his brightly colored eyes sink closed and he took in a deep, steadying breath before letting it out slowly. He did his best then to clear his mind and to focus, to push away all the normal worries that plagued his mind so that he could be at peace. At first there was nothing but darkness all around him as he tried to seek out the magic that was inside of him, it didn't feel as though it were nothingness though. Whatever it was it was something that was just out of his reach, hovering there, not hiding in the darkness but of the darkness. Kliken reached farther, grasping toward what he thought might be his magic and for a moment he felt... as though he'd been submerged in deep, murky water, found it a bit hard to breath, and as the teacher had told him to do he stopped concentration on the obtaining of his magic... And nothing seemed to happen, he feel as though something had caught hold of his feet while he were swimming and it was pulling him under. He didn't feel panic as he was able to breath under water... the leech boy forced his eyes open to escape the darkness that he'd been concentrating on and for what felt like forever but he knew was only a moment he saw nothing even while his eyes were open. And then everything was back to normal again. Kliken blinked a couple times as he lifted a hand to rub it against his forehead, finding it to be damp with sweat, "Huh... that was odd." He murmured to himself, wondering what in the world that had been. When he were feeling more himself and had shaken off the weird sensation the boy began to quickly write down on a sheet of paper what he'd felt, seen, and experienced while he was trying to repeat the procedure that he'd seen in class. It was with results that he didn't find himself very pleased with though as he hadn't been able to draw out the magic as his teacher and fellow student had. When he was feeling more up to it though he would try again he told himself. When he was done write out his assignment he set his things aside so he could go and join Tural in a refreshing swim.
