(( Preteen+ only please. xD Simon doesn't like the kiddies.))
It was probably a weird sight... A large half-man half-shark teenager sitting on the street curb in Durem, his shirt had been shed... even in the chilling weather of fall, not that it mattered. It was pouring rain.
His hair framed his face limply, he wasn't sad though-- he just enjoyed the feeling of water on his skin... usually, day to day, he felt dry. He wouldn't admit the amount of lotion he used sometimes... but he did. So on days like this, when he could sit... outside, enjoying the silky feeling of water (no matter how cold) he would.
With an added bonus.. the streets were essentially empty, aside from four or five people with umbrellas braving the weather... everyone else had scurried inside the nearest coffee shop for something warm to drink.
And for once... the short-tempered boy felt at peace.
Who knew how long that would last, though.

Medusa was walking in the rain, rather enjoying the sensation as the water trickled off her skin. She was without her dragon for this particular day, wanting to be alone in her thoughts as she skipped in the puddles.
Kanth had said that the rain was good for her skin; it made it look iridescent and glowed slightly, especially in the moonlight... but one thing she loved most of all was the way wet clothing felt on her skin.
Doing a little twirl, Medusa stopped as she glanced at Simon, blinking before approaching him.
"... you look like you enjoy the water like I do." She gave him a small smile.

He stared ahead blankly... drawing his gaze up to the clouds, lost in the deepest thought a teenage boy could be in. He wasn't even sure what he was thinking... just. Things. Perhaps a bit of regret seeped in there...
But ah, nothing good lasted that long. With an irritated look, his dark eyes turned to the intruder... heh, some chick. No, not even a chick, too young to be a chick.
Her comment was welcome though, and he was still in at least the afterglow of a good mood so... "Yeah, I do." he gave a half a smile, pointedly avoiding any teeth... always seemed to scare people, who knew why. Then again... this girl was see-through so... maybe it didn't matter.

Medusa noticed his tail, and smiled, crossing her arms. "So you're a Dcorp as well?" Tilting her head and walking around him a bit, her eyes brightened. "That's so cool. I hardly ever get to meet any others like us."

Ever since being reunited as friends, Cleo had begun to join Tyven at the gym for a few workouts a week. Tyven had to re-learn working with a partner, but it was worth it. Still, she frowned slightly when she saw the pouring rain. The girl liked water, but not especially the cold.
She'd been holding the door open for Cleo, but eyeing the small bird's skimpy clothing, she paused to pull off her black, classic peacoat to put it on the girl. On Tyven, it came to just above her knees. On Cleo? Much closer to her ankles. Cute, though.
"Let's go."
Tyven was only wearing her workout chest wraps beneath a white-button up, but the insurance of the wraps made the wet-cloth not a big deal. They hadn't gotten far down the street before the wet pair spotted a soaked pair. Medusa, she'd seen before. They weren't friends, but she knew her. The shark?
She frowned.

It. Was. WET! Alaqua was not happy. Bob was flying overhead, but the koala girl was getting soaked through and through. "Just land!" She shouted over the wind to the brass, pointing downwards to emphasize her comment. She'd find somewhere to get warm and dry down there.
The brass landed in the middle of the street and Ala started towards the nearest warm looking building. It was a coffee shop, but it would do. Warm and dry... wait. Blinking through the rain, she saw a couple of forms not too far away. What kind of crazy people just stood about in the rain? One wet koala girl went to find out.
"Are you two crazy?" Ugh, it was going to take forever for her fur to dry out... But she stared at Medusa and Simon like they were nut jobs. Well, maybe they were...

Cleo was whining about the coat as they had headed into the rain, but she kept her pretty little mouth shut once they had actually started walking. She liked the rain, despite it soaking through her wings and clothing. Cleo was wearing Tyvens jacket! So she hiked it up to her neck and bounced through the head rain until -
"Hyde!" The word burst through her rather loudly. She hadn't seen him as often as she would have liked, mind you, but she liked him! He was there and big and mean and kind of like Tyven without any self control. She liked him. Cleo waved her arm in greeting at him, and she flounced away from her sister to head over to the squishy girl and the koala and the SIMON. "Hyde! Hey! What are you doing out in the rain? You're gonna drown!"
Oh, yes, Cleo. Smile, smile and pretend you're the brainless fluffy thing. Sure, Simon knew a different Cleo - a meaner, more capable Cleo then even Tyven knew. Sure, she knew her precious sister wasn't a cute squishy thing but she didn't know the extent.

"Cleo."
Tyven's voice was a low, dangerous thrum as her hand shot out way too quickly, shackling Cleo's wrist [but not hurting her] and pulling the girl up short, so she could catch up.
Her lavender eyes briefly lit upon Alaqua, whom she'd met twice now, and she nodded to the girl in greeting before letting her gaze go back to Simon. Now they were within striking distance, and she became tense, watching.
There were only two predatory creatures in the vicinity and they did not know each other.

"Yep." he mumbled, as if he was barely paying attention... D-corp, that place was like a bad rash. Just kept coming back to haunt him. Of course he was still "involved" but... as least as he could.
That meant she was from there too. "I meet all too many..." it was true... those damn kids. Kept popping up everywhere. and the tail. Go for the tail! Quick grab the shark mans tail.
Oh well. Be polite Simon... something prompted him too, perhaps the gentle splatter of rain, "Names Jekel... or, Hyde." he grinned finally, teeth shining through in spite of himself. He really did love that name-play. "Depends on what side of the street you catch me."
And aha, someone else came to join them... some... something. Girly dude or ugly chick? Hell if he knew. "Probably!" he snorted, mockingly to her 'are you crazy' question.
And oh, add one-- no, two more women to his pile here... He looked like a pimp sitting on the street like this, leaning back leisurely on his palms with 4 women around him. This time though it was a more welcome sight... someone he actually knew, and even more amazingly... liked. "Cleo--" he returned the name, in that boyish 'my buddy!' manner, sitting up straight this time. "I'ma bigass fish, I don't drown~" he laughed, "What kind of s**t are you smoking?" Crude as always, but friendly to at least one of his guests.
His eyes then fell to the woman behind her, it was one of -those- moments... sizing each other up, he saw that look... he knew that look, ********, he invented that look. He didn't bother to stand, not yet, however he did pull his feet in so that both were flat on the ground, resting his arms over his knees. "Yo." he spoke in that soft... I'm not gonna give you s**t if you don't give me s**t, and followed with a single motion of a wave, two fingers instead of the full five... a reflection of his lazy punkish nature. "Who's yer friend, Cleo?"
He had no reason to challenge anyone today... today was his day off. And it wasn't like this b***h was some rival gang he had the duty to ******** up on sight.

"Hyde... I like that." Medusa grinned, crossing her arms. "I'm Medusa... you can call me Dusa. If you'd like." Medusa was at the stage where she was getting into the bad boys, finding out what she liked, she didn't like... she was getting to be a teenager, after all!
Glancing to the other ones that had arrived, she smiled and waved. "Greetings, all." She was a bit glad she hadn't brought Alfred, her dragon... he would have been most responsible and telling her she shouldn't be hanging out in a place like this.
But, there was Cleo! And Tyven. Medusa remembered seeing those two near Altessa... inwardly, she shuddered, and then realized... Hyde had one or two telltale signs that Altessa had, when sizing up others for a fight.
"You would probably like 'Tessa," Medusa muttered just loud enough for the shark to hear, grinning a bit maliciously; she knew Altessa didn't like that nickname, but she hoped the girl would get hers soon enough.

"I was trying to be funny, jerk. Apparently, my sophisticated humor is lost on you." She sniffed roughly at that, and it was only then that she turned to her sister with a little frown. Tyven had grabbed at her and.. What? Cleos frown deepened and gold eyes flicked up to meet her sisters.
"Tyvvie. This is Hyde. He's my friend." Her voice had gotten a bit more serious now, and her other hand went to rest on Tyvens wrist. They curled around the thin flesh and bone, eyes still on Tyvens. "He's fine. Hyde~!"
Cleo turned abruptly, and tugged Tyven closer to her while she did so. Even with all the rival things going on, she was cheerful. Simon AND Tyven! It was a good day! The big-a** fish got another beaming grin, and Cleo attempted to tug her sister closer to him.
"This is my sister, Tyven! She's from D-Corp too. Tyvvie," Tug tug, "This is Hyde. He helps me dispose of bodies!"
In the back of her mind, Cleo knew that was a kind of weird thing to say while all but -giggling- but - but it was true!
Medusa also received a smile, and a wave. "I like Altessa! She's pretty!" and then her attention was drawn back to the two predators. She was trying to keep Tyv from going angry crazy. Augh. There was someone furry and wet and - huh. Kinda cute. So her attention zeroed in on the furry thing.

Tyven's eyes locked onto Simon's and after a long, tense moment, she nodded, relaxing just slightly. She was still ready, but she'd left him silently know she wasn't about to start something. Letting go of Cleo's wrist, she slid her palms into her wet slacks, thoughts going back to the conversation at the mention of Altessa. It had been a long time since she'd seen that girl.
"Hello." She acted as if Cleo hadn't just introduced her. It wasn't something that would bother her sister. "Tyven." She made a note to drill her "sister" on her relationship with "Hide" later.
She was being NICE. For CLEO. That bird would know to appreciate it. Tyven could tell that the shark was the kind of guy who would realize she was stepping down for the sake of the bird.

Ala glanced about at the group. Heck, she didn't really know anyone here. Well, the purple girl seemed familiar. Maybe from a class. "You're all insane, standing out here like this." The koala girl glanced about. Okay, idiot shark boy. Ditzy bird girl. Interesting see-through girl. And the snake girl. What a combination.
The teen was not happy. She was soaked and cold. And these crazies were all standing about like it was sunny. The rain had caused her spikes to fall and her hair was pretty much just plastered to her head.
"Wait... you're ALL from D-corp?" She blinked and looked around. Dude...

Medusa. Hey~ Girlie had a cool name too. Medusa and Hyde? What kind of cracked out duo would that be... "Dusa~ got it." He nodded alittle, taking the name into what few braincells he had.
She mentioned something about someone called Tessa... and liking them. He probably would, maybe, heh. Who knew... he was more concerned about the potential trouble infront of him.
Cleo seemed to be trying to wrangle her in though, splitting his attention between girls... Cleo he teased, chuckling as he did so "Trying." key word, Cleo babe~ He knew her well enough... knew that if she went to stab him he could dodge and probably laugh it off. She was a pretty cool girl.
Tyvvie-- No, Tyven, she'd corrected it seemed. Cleo was... alot bubblier around other people. Usually when he was around the bright creature she was more 'down to earth'... but whatever, he could deal for a bit. And hey-- disposing of bodies is private business! Still he seemed to grin mischievously and egotistically.
But yes, Tyven. He relaxed a little bit more as she did... still on-guard, but letting at least one foot sprawl back out. "Nice t'meet you. Friend of Cleo's is a friend of mine right?" he glanced at the tiny girl... totally catching onto that 'you'll be friends with my friend or i'ma cut you' vibe. He was dumb about a lot of things, but he could understand that went the same for him.
And the man-girl... "I already said yeah, I'm insane" he noted, bluntly, rolling his eyes... "You sound like my mom." he added, insultingly. Even if his hair had to suffer, he liked the rain... some t**t nagging him about the falling liquid wasn't about to dampen (or.. dry in this case) his good environment and in turn good mood.
Though maybe he'd go inside... in a minute.

Hyde just got a face made at him, and while Dusa and Ala were taking her attention, she slipped her hand over to wrap around the crook of Tyvens elbow, just gently. It was a simple little touch, almost intricately uncomplicated, and she said nothing about it.
"What's wrong with liking the rain?" This time, the comment was aimed at Ala, and the koala girl was in the aim of big brown yellow eyes. "YOU'RE out in the rain. Doesn't that make you just as crazy? Glass houses, stones~ That whole thing."
She was giggling when Simon made the friend comment. Attention diverted back to them, Simon received a slow smile from the bird. It was far from her crazy hyper beam, but he'd seen it before anyway! He'd seen her smile just like that, when she wasn't being crazy.
"Yup! And Tyvvie is my only other friend too, so don't worry~ I'm a picky, picky girl! Right, Tyvvie?"
