I am carrying this over from Kiri CB to say some things that I feel need to be said. Gideon Commando has told me that he would rather not have me post this in Kiri CB, thus I will post it here.

For context, Hademaru has proposed several changes for Kirigakure. Some of these were good recommendations, others were things that had already been done, but in his absence he had missed them. The last portion however, was a rant on the current state of the approvals forum, where Hademaru compared those of us doing approvals to parasites and viruses.



Nothing I've submitted has been approved?

Like my updates to this villages jutsu?
Or changes to system rules?
Or item creation?
Or summons?
Or what about jutsu?
Or personal jutsu?
Or even Clans?

You need to stop this Hademaru. You posted a list of "recommendations" some of which were helpful, some of which are things that have already been done, and due to you only being on Gaia a few months out of the year, you have not noticed them, and the rest of it was just a rant. A rant with nothing constructive contained within it. If you are going to criticize something, offer a solution. I personally think that dealing with problems individually is more effective than posting everything at once, because people often overlook things when you post them en masse, but if you think otherwise, you are perfectly entitled to your opinion, and maybe, when you cool down a bit, if you want to go stop by and try to add input on peoples approvals, rather than just complaining about the way that other people do it, you may start something up and we will have a wave of improvement throughout the approvals forum. Or, people will keep doing it the way they are now.
And I am not attacking anyone. I state facts. Nobody can deny that. I harped on Qyps posting activity, thats a fact, Qyp rarely post in character. It was addressed and suddenly Qyp is posting more in character. I tried to get Amegakure started up, and Rin didn't want that happening, but did I ever state anything that wasn't true? She is keeping it as an NPC village and letting whoever wants to use it come into the village despite the fact other people want to join that village. Thus the jutsu of that village are going to waste. And yeah, I got ticked, but that is because I like Amegakure, and I had an idea for it, and idea that could still work, but I am trying to let the air cool a bit before presenting it. Even Kouri agreed that allowing Proto to circumnavigate the guilds rules was a mistake and reflects bad on the guild, and namely her because Proto slapped her name on it. The clan has 25 jutsu, of which almost none are cannon, and do things such as ignore enemy attacks, raise the dead, and heal about 3x more hp than minor chakra heal for about 1/10th of the cp cost. Facts.
I state facts because when I do, it draws attention to problems. Problems that I hope will be corrected, because I care about this guild and do not enjoy watching it fall apart.
I'm not a crew member and have basically been told that no matter what I do I won't be, yet still I help out around here whenever possible.
So I will fully utilize the best part of not being crew, I get to speak my mind. I don't have to censor myself or sugar coat things, because that is a necessary thing. Just like how I was told that Qyp is crew so that he can be "The Punching Bag" or whatever, I remain a member so that I can reveal all of the ugly truths that exist, but some people don't want to talk about.
That, and the fact that I know d20 better than most people in this guild.

You may get your wish though Hade. With all of the old folks coming back, this guild is losing the fun factor that it once had. Nothing makes it through approvals anymore, and people like you and Proto choose to ignore and argue rather than listen. All I wanted was to keep this guild running smoothly and keep it fun, but it is becoming harder and harder to have fun here. People arguing about rules written in stone, people arguing about rules that don't even exist. The crew doing things behind the scenes and us not seeing any results. Half hearted promises being made. People constantly trolling. Shutting down new members left and right, and outside of Oto and Konoha, It almost seems as if we are encouraging illiteracy in this guild.

I mean, I get that the crew has other things to do that are more important than posting, that has been said, but obviously that isn't the greatest excuse. Nura, Proto, and Ghost crank out literate post every time. Kouri is getting a lot better now that she is more active, and has posted at least 4x the lit requirement on a regular basis, and the few post that I have seen from Rin ( I don't stalk her as much) have been of a good length as well. Why can't the rest measure up? Maybe if we saw some evidence of these projects, we would all be more sympathetic to the matter.

I even talked to Proto a while back about a bunch of updates to the rules, is that what you guys are working on so hard? Why is it taking so long? Need help? Or is it something else?

School has started up and activity has become scarce, that really sucks, people are stressed. The approvals forum has been transformed into some kind of slaughterhouse now, I mean completely banning Intelligence bonuses and frowning on Wisdom and Charisma bonuses? Constantly challenging recommendations with the statement, "What if they want to be a rebel!?" Well if they want to be a rebel they can go shove it, why join the clan if you don't want the bonuses. Restricting things because you think that they areou your clan's specialty when your clan doesn't even have that ability? What are you? The thought Police? If people want to make an idea, they can make it make sense, and its not overpowered, let them have it.

I've gotten all of that off of my chest and I feel better. Thats all I really care about.

And because the internet doesn't convey emotions very well, let me assure you that I am not at all angry. I am perfectly calm, and typing this with passion, not anger.

Well, can anyone give me any reason to stay in this guild? I have no village now, I don't feel like making a new character. I don't want to leave Oto and honestly I don't have any intention of staying without ghost. He is the best Kage I have ever seen. Please give me a reason and perhaps I'll stay.

With characters that are so immersed in an ongoing plot that it wouldn't make sense if they just left?

We would need Ghost to play the Npc's. Anyway, who's going to grade out missions?

I'm seconding that, I like this guild but I feel this guild needs more life... I'll back you up brother.

Don't freak out... if you need anything done in Oto that requires crew powers, just ask a crew member who is on.
