The Kumiho led the trio through the labyrinthine hall with ease, not once pausing to check his own map or to orient himself. In just a few minutes, he had guided them towards a closed door. He turned to face the trio. “And this is as far as I go. From here on out, you're own your own.”He turned his attention towards Sathe and offered the boy a firm handshake. “A pleasure doing business with you, sir. Keep making level-headed decisions like that, and you'll be out of here in no time.” He flashed a smile, pressed a business card into Sathe's palm, and then released him. He took a step back from the group. “Well, that's it. I hope to see you again! Toodles!” Within moments, he had disappeared back into the maze, the echoes of his humming trailing after him. “East, you said,” Ruttaga remarked once the kumiho was gone. He walked between Sathe and Niamh and towards the door. “Wouldn't that put us...”The door opened up on a yawning darkness. “Yeah. Exactly where we were before. Current Location: Dusky Webbed Hall Direction: South Keys Found: #1 #2Kavi shuffles forward, ducking and weaving through the hallway more carefully as the webs get thicker and more and more of them hang from the ceiling. He also has to watch his steps to avoid the cocoons.

She wanted to pay him back, so she would find a way to do so, to thank him for his kindness. She reached over, and squeezed his hand... And was impressed with how quickly they got taken to the... Oh Fudge Cookies! It was the Pitch Black Hall. She stared into the darkness, and snorted, then said "Straight across. I'm trying straight across." She was trembling but... She needed to keep moving.Mauserati IGNORE MAH ROLL FOLKS, got confused a moment.

Current Location: Perplexing Hall of Mirrors Direction: East Keys Found: #1 #2Kavi squints at all the mirrors. His reflection confuses and in some cases doesn’t move with him. Kavi feels a worry growing in the back of his mind as he bumps around in the dense forest of mirrors. He slides his hands along the surface of a mirror or two (or three) and they seem to all be solid, but Kavi has yet to touch one where his reflection isn’t doing what he is, afraid he’ll fall through. He’s heard stories about a reflection that took over the real body’s place as the real body languished in the mirror world. He’d rather something like that not happen to him, so why risk touching one of those mirrors?

The keys were jingling and jangling in his pocket, making him annoyed. His sense of direction has always been impeccable. Now he is feeling as if he is lost as if a freshling could navigate their way better then he could at that moment. Sighing he stepped into a hall, it was lined with cobwebs and more. Some of those webs moved a bit and it was gross. The thought of what spun those webs was enough to make his legs more very fast.

As he hurried along, he realized somehow he had either got turned around or the corridor turned into another. This one had more webs then the other and not as many egg sacs but it was still unsettling to him. Keeping his eyes on the walls he spied a door and hurriedly pushed against it. It gave away with a loud groan and then......

He rolled his eyes a bit as Rutta pushed his way between himself and Niamh, but looked a little concerned when it turned out they were back in the dark hallway again. "Well the map made it seem like the other side was full of spiders, and that just sounds like it would be asking for trouble." Which was probably good enough a reason anyway, since he didn't realize Niamh was afraid of spiders.
The door closed behind them, and he stood for a moment while his eyes adjusted to the darkness, what little they could. He reached out for Niamh's hand again, and then felt around for Rutta's shoulder so that they wouldn't get separated. Only...he couldn't find the other chimera in the dark. "Rutta?"
He frowned to himself mostly, letting Niamh tug him along as they moved straight across the hallway to another door. "C'mon, we can't risk getting lost in there again, he'll have to find his own way I guess..."

She looked around the library they were now in, curiously, approaching a bookshelf but not letting go of Sathe's hand... She felt safer holding it... And curiously peered at the titles, her free hand brushing against one... And then she stepped back, startled, as a trap door opened, and the hidden room was revealed... And she, once again, let out a shriek at the sight of the bound skeleton, before spinning to bury her head in Sathe's shoulder.

He quickly let go of her hand and wrapped his arms around her, careful of her wings as he held her close. "It's okay Niamh! It's okay. I've got you, you're safe with me..." He looked around a bit to make sure there wasn't anything hunting them down, before focusing on her again, squeezing her slightly as he enjoyed the warmth of her being so close.
That warmth seemed to make everything cold around him, but then his breath started to become visible as well, and he felt his feet getting frosty. He moved one foot to try and shake the feeling, but only heard ice crackling under the slight adjustment.
Frost crawling up the walls caught his attention, and he gently rubbed Niamh's back as he tried to urge her on, "C'mon, I think we should keep moving...before we freeze in here."
