A graveyard....they had gone from a void hallway to a graveyard. It was rather difficult for Eywa to consider this an upgrade but at least they could see things around them. They attempted to cast a simple light spell and felt relieved when a small ball of soft light appeared above their open palm. It seemed the light gave some comfort to Soot, as well, for the vespercat had taken a more relaxed curl over Eywa's shoulders. The hybrid moved their hand to cast the gentle glow around them and get their bearings, a glittering glint caught their eye coming from one of the gravestones. They stepped closer, looking up the tall marker that was rather menacing in appearance; an obelisk with what might have been spikes or carved thorns jutting out along its length. They couldn't quite make out a name but, hanging from a smaller, thin spike was a key. Eywa had to stand on their toes to grab it but once they did, they chose not to stick around and tempt fate. "Best keep moving forward, Soot." They said softly, turning and quickly making their way further onward.

Roshan sighed when they realized they had found a graveyard. That wouldn’t have been too bad except that the state it was currently in meant branches of various plants encroach into the walking path causing a need to move carefully once again. But there was some light which was better than the hall. Roshan started down a path hoping to spot a key or another door to try.
When the whisper started up Roshan thought it was their group gossiping about them while the hybrid marched ahead. It was getting irritating and troubling. Roshan turned around to say as much when they found there was no one behind them. They had lost their group... Oh well... but then the whispers?
Suddenly a shriek pierced the air then the whispers stopped.
Roshan shivered but continued forward.

Xenia continued to make her way slowly down the dark corridor. How long would this thing go? Was it getting darker or was that just her imagination? She shivered slightly, wondering if getting trapped in her until she died of dehydration was something she actually had to be worried about. She stopped as her hand hit what felt like a door. With a small sigh of relief, she yanked it open. "********' finally, I'm done with that hallway."

They tried to rush forward, but the wall of webbing slowed two out of three of them immediately, not only catching in Ayuu and Ellis's fur, but also in the pie bits still liberally strewn across their faces. Bo succeeded in his forward push, turning around with a sigh when he saw what had happened to the others. He felt along the wall until he found a door, and before he lost track of them, the geist reached out and tugged them both into the new room with him.

Marique continued to relax against Promise as he flexed his leg, baffled by what he experienced. However... the question the grimm asked had his head whipping back, straining up to stare in bewilderment. Leg pains too?! So he hadn't imagined it! "But it just disappears," he whispered hollowly before straightening away. He eyed the doll on the ground. "We... we need to get out of this room as well." Oh, he hoped the house didn't get worse. Marique just may not come out in one piece, if so. Or at all.
He pressed the scary thought away. Unfortunately, he had been too focused on the doors and the props that he hadn't recognized them to be props. It all looked pretty real to him. And now, it was starting to feel real.
He was making his way to the door when a whine came from behind him. Quickly, the country boy whipped around, eyes wide before coming over. Gently, he smoothed his hands over Promise's leg, hoping to help chase away the odd pain. Right behind Promise, he saw another doll on the ground. Marique swallowed heavily and straightened up. "We really, really, need to get out of this room," he breathed, guiding Promise out of the room and through the door.
And then, the doors decided to slam shut behind them, veiling the pair in almost complete darkness. Light runes seemed to come and go every now and again, but not enough to actually see detail. Only enough to indicate where the walls were. Marique's back froze up and he immediately tried the fire incantation. A small... ember appeared, fizzling and disappearing immediately as the darkness pressed it back. Marique didn't like darkness like this. Who knew what was in this hall, what with the dolls in the last room. His hand sought out Promise's, squeezing tight as he tried to calm his hammering heart.

Zelig was beginning to feel like this was a sick joke, and he wanted to get out of this kooky place. He had real police business to attend to, this seemed to be a prank that was elaborate but still a prank.
His eyes widened when he entered the next room as several thick black masses seemed to hang in the air, the buzzing was intensely loud. A putrid smell assailed his nostrils and made him gag. He scanned the room quickly, realizing it was a kitchen. The meat swayed in the humid, fetid air and the looks of it was disgusting. It seemed to be gray, red, brown and black and it was gross!
Seeing enough he saw two ways out of this gross room, he took the first one he saw to the South. "Hope this next room is easier to breathe in!" he mumbled as he reached for the doorknob.

Using the wall as a guide, Zeerah couldn't help but snicker at how ridiculous he must look, edging along the wall. He could faintly make out a glowing mark on the wall as he approached it - he hadn't even noticed the marks earlier. 'My tendrils must be really killing my night vision.' He thought in mild frustration. It was times like this he considered utilising his abilities to simply phase through the wall, but that would ruin all the fun! Finally, his groping hand bumped into what felt like a handle. With a small sigh of relief, he clutched the handle and prepared to turn it. "Alright buddy, what's behind doooor number one!" He joked to the vespercat, who's glowing eyes he could just make out in the dark.

Sathe grinned as he recognized what Rutta was doing, wondering why he hadn't thought of that. Probably because he was a jerk, except for when he was useful like right about now.
Except it did absolutely nothing. No, worse than nothing. He could clearly see the boy breathing fire, but it just...disappeared into the murky darkness. Nothing illuminated, like the air ate the fire. "Wow, that was useless."
Not that he really had any better ideas. He wasn't gonna let go of Rutta though, if only so that the chimera didn't get left behind. "Come on then, this can't go on forever."

Get out of here. Yeah, that sounded like a good idea. Promise nodded, eyeing the vespercat warily. As soon as they were able to get out of here, maybe that thing would leave them alone....
And Marique wouldn't have to worry. Promise's eyebrows furrowed as his boyfriend's hands brushed across his leg. "I--It's fine. I'm okay." he breathed, trying to smile at him. His leg seizing up was weird. It wasn't just a cramp. He could deal with it. Right now...his boyfriend was the one to worry about. It was just a normal haunted house. The leg thing had to be a coincidence right? He nodded again, gladly taking the other man's hands and following him into the other room.
A dark room. Promise's eyes narrowed as he tried to get used to the light. This place didn't seem too bad. At least there were only inscriptions on the wall that were out of place and strange. Glorified gibberish most likely. A sigh of relief came out of him and he squeezed Marique's hand back in an attempt to reassure him. "It's okay. I can lead the way?" his eyes went to his dimly lit boyfriend, trying to gauge his reaction. Who knew that Marique, Mr. Calm cool and collected, of all people, would be afraid of a few tricks and gimmicks.

Overgrown Graveyard
The night air is still and uncomfortably quiet. Even under the full moon, the shadows cast by the graveyard’s headstones are too long and too dark. The dead branches from the surrounding trees and hedges grasp at you like clawed, bony fingers.
SEARCH [1d10]
1: You find a key! 2: In the distance you hear a lonely howl that curdles your blood. A few seconds later something growls behind you, much, much closer. 3: You find yourself unable to move as vines grow up around your ankles and pull you down towards the earth. 4: A plastic pumpkin container lays overturned on the cobblestones… Looks like someone left it behind by mistake. It still has some candy inside! 5: There’s a rustling from a nearby tree, and a black shape bursts out. It dives towards you, then rushes past, and settles on a headstone with a croak. From there, it regards you smugly. 6: In the middle of the path, a ghostly spectre materialises in ragged fluttering robes. It passes through you and leaves you chilled to the bone. 7: The earthy mound in front of a worn gravestone shifts, and a gnarled hand erupts from beneath. Something begins to claw its way to the surface. 8: Hushed whispers follow you throughout the graveyard, whispering secrets no one could know. There is a sudden shriek, then silence. 9: Something strokes your hair and down your neck. You hear a cackle, and your shadow slithers away in to the darkness. 10: You find a key!
North: The way is blocked. East: Continue. South: The way is blocked. West: An ominous door.

Taxidermy Museum
Beasts of every shape and size fill the room… each one of them dead and stuffed. Several have been displayed in glass cases, their skin peeled back to display the muscleature beneath. Paintings of wildlife in their natural habitats cover the walls, perfectly ordinary yet indescribably unsettling. The air smells faintly of formaldehyde and methanol.
SEARCH [1d6]
1: You find a key! 2: Upon closer inspection, you realise that the eyes in one of the paintings is in fact looking at you. They make eye contact and press a little closer to the canvas. 3: The stink of chemicals grows stronger. Before your very eyes, a stuffed familiar begins to melt. 4: One of the tables features hunting photos. Among them you find increasingly disturbing photographs, including game that looks like… A creak sounds in the all too quiet room. 5: Folded neatly in a nearby cabinet, you discovery a stack of skins belonging to no animal. In the dim reflection of the glass, you can make out a dark silhouette standing behind you. 6: You find a key!

A dingy, low wattage bulb hangs overhead. Despite the poor lighting, the pantry looks otherwise harmless. It’s packed full of things like jams, canned vegetables, pre-packaged meals, and cleaning supplies. Actually, you’re pretty sure you’re not supposed to be here. Oops.
