While she had the lead in regards to school activities, out here was a new slate. Even consenting they were in his domain now. As she asked if it would make things more interesting he merely nodded his head. 'Though even if the slate were not wiped clean, I would still claim victory now.' He thought to himself silently. Words not meant to be spoken until action could prove it at the very least. Or if he felt it may have a more appropriate time later to be brought up. He also enjoyed the thought of having a challenge on two fronts; one in his domain and hers, and trying to wrestle victory from both. It would be an enjoyable prospect, that much was for certain. He was glad to see his further jest bring a smile to Dove's lips, and her keep pace as he sped up. Hearing her say she hadn't seen it herself was curious news to Garret. Though he supposed setting yourself on fire did not give you much time or desire to find out how it appeared. 'I wonder what prompted such desperation.' He thought to himself, as even she seemed to sound a bit confused. But he would not rush her; they had a long journey, and plenty of time to speak and find the correct words. Eyes still alert for danger, he did not notice her hands for the most part. Not yet at least. She would start by saying her team was tasked as part of the expedition mission. A mission he recalled all too well how it went wrong. A mission he had wished to be part of himself upon learning how things were going, but he was off on a mission with the Hound and thus could not. She would explain how the squads were divided; her squad being entirely students while the other had some kind of escort. Knowing Aurtrox, it made a bit of sense of why he would do so. 'They shall not always have aid in the field, and must rely on one another.' He thought to himself. Or, perhaps, they would end up like him; learning to rely on no one else other than them-self. Hearing of students bicker, he just shook his head. A mission was not a place for petty disputes occurring, as he remembered hearing in particular of a spider faunus and a horse faunus. 'Even with the hound, we knew how to prioritize.' He thought to himself. He was thinking in regards to that; a suggestion he may make to Aurtrox in future.
As she would speak more, citing the explosion, Garret would remember the student after that many others spoke of. Using an ability that, in confined spaces, did more harm to her allies than the grimm. The students had pulled through, somehow, but even he did not know that much. Hearing things in more detail, he was surprised to hear her fall to the death stalker...and of some other student named Chase who saved them. He hadn't heard of that student in particular, but it was good to know even amidst the chaos there were those who rose to the challenge. Dove's loss...also reminded him of his own luck with grimm when he was younger. He was glad she did not suffer the same price he did for his life; a life for a life is never something anyone desires when they are the one being saved. As she paused, he would also be in thought as well. Defeat and reliance on others was never something he was comfortable with. 'Live by the spear, die by the spear.' He thought to himself silently, but without sorrow. He knew what was likely at the end of his path. But it only encouraged him to press on; every defeat that was survived a chance to learn. She would break the silence first to continue. Explaining how he reminded her of her brother, and in her unconsciousness, it was the thought of saving her brother that awoke her and allowed her to push past her limits. To save both Chase and Sakura...but also to realize it was not her brother. This was one of the few times he would interject in the story, even if it was during her second pause. "Live by the blade, die by the blade. It is the inevitability of those who walk the warrior path. Not all of us will survive, and sometimes we survive at the sacrifice of another...No matter how much we are against it. It is important not to despair over their loss, but use it to strengthen yourself. We live, and fight on, for those who have fallen." He would say rather seriously, with just the barest hints of something in his own voice. Something Dove has never heard in his voice before; sorrow. Particularly at the point where he mentioned surviving with the sacrifice of another. But, despite that, he did have a slight smile to his lips. 'I wonder what you think of me?' He thought rhetorically to himself, but not about Dove; about all those who fell for him to get to Vale.
They were in silence for a bit, Dove seeming to take time to recover from the admittance. Which he understood, to a degree; he was not privy to what exactly happened to her brother, only that (given the context) he was no longer living. She would continue though, more chipper than earlier, to explain how with chase and unconscious team in tow they would make their escape. Him again performing a feat by preventing the cavern from collapsing, and Dove holding off the ravagers with her fire. It was interesting to know they were attracted to light; that much he did not know. Then again, he rarely faced ravagers. He would smile lightly as she mentioned sharp teeth and claws though, and not being immune to fire. He imagined they would not do well against a phoenix. As she quickened her pace, to hurry past him and in front, he was about to do the same till he noticed something. He would see the jacket was made specifically for her wings, something he had idly wondered for winged faunus, but more importantly he would notice faintly etched lines along the exposed skin back there. She would explain how, luckily, the ravagers went for her back instead of her wings and how she was like a bomb to them. She would again reference Chase as being the main reason they escaped, and seemed to have regret at not being able speak after. Garret would silently nod to himself at that. It seemed this was a student he may have to look into in the future at the least; if he showed this much potential and ability, Aurtrox may have interest in him. Doves steps would slow and she would step off to the left; allowing Garret to quickly fall in step to her right side. She would then add on how she became a bit too ambitious, and that was how she got the other scar; the one she believed him to be curious on with a playful-curious tone. As she would wave her hand and wave gloved fingertips to him, he would merely smile and nod. "It was, and if this tale is only the introduction to that one it only leaves me more curious as to how it was gained." He would respond, genuinely rather than the usual jests between them. He could tell by her smirk she had known the answer, but he would allow her the satisfaction for once.
She would quickly erase all notion of continuing for now, something he felt she did on purpose after building it up, but he let it slide for now. She desired a tale from him instead. "You have shared with me, so it is only right I share with you. But...rather than give you a recent venture, as you paused in your own story, I shall tell you of a much older one that seems fitting. One of a warrior’s start." He would say with a smirk of his own. She was probably fine with any tale from him, but after his earlier mention of being off on work and missions...there was a small chance she wanted a recent tale. But hearing her prologue...he felt he had a story that fit far better for now. "The journey was of a young noble, born of Vacuo blood, who lost almost everything in its fall. Inexperienced, having disdain for combat due to inability, he had thought of combat as something never for him. He could learn, speak, and rule without ever having to hold a weapon; or so he thought. But one night, his manor would be besieged by Grimm. United with mother, father, and sister, they would try to make their escape. His parents and their guards fought Grimm after Grimm, but they did not end. They had pushed to the staircase but could go no further; parents using it as a choke point to protect their offspring." Garret had been speaking rather neutrally at first, like a detached story, but he would pause...and his tone would shift to a darker one. "It was on that night he learned why his parents had tried to teach him to fight. His mother was the first to fall; his father, enraged, would fight on with the strength of ten men, or so he thought. But he was still one man, and he would fall beside his mother. His sister and himself were all that remained; and in cowardice, he fled. Hearing her screams but never looking back. Running to his room, he would crawl under his own bed and cower. His fear and despair soon attracting Grimm...and as he waited for his own end, he would find himself saved. One of the family’s knights, as he knew them, with an elephant mask had gathered his family spears and himself. And together, they escaped his ruined home." Garret would finish with a long pause as Dove would see both his fists clenching and un-clenching, back to clenched fists, eyes downward. He would shake his head softly and continue. "That was the night the boy learned why people fought, why his father had insisted he learn to protect himself. That was the night he learned defeat, and that some lessons carried a heavy price. That was the night Garret of House Reveley chose the Warrior’s path." He would finish their, but rather than the sorrow when he spoke earlier, Garret's expression had gone back to mostly normal. With a...kind smile to his lips, as he looked to Dove. "All of us have faced doubt and defeat in some way. All of us loss. What matters is what we do when it happens; do we give up and stay consumed in regret and what ifs, or do we rise, seek to improve ourselves, and keep their memory alive with us?" He would say as a rhetorical question, tone almost with the calm content it usually had...but there was a spark to his eyes as well. He was never the type to let despair consume him or to give up since that night; and he knew Dove wasn't. Not that he would let her have even the consideration of the other option. "And I better not hear you give up Dove. I can't have my rival throwing in the towel before I have the chance to best her." He would say with an arrogant smirk and tone, features much lighter than when he was telling the story. "There is more yet to the tale, if you desire, but...I feel to be even you should continue from here. I am still all too curious to learn of your trophy from that day." He would say gentle and playful smile to his lips and voice as he looked to her. All shadows and sorrow from his own tale seemingly gone, as if they were never there. It was something he had practice with at this stage; to keep the despair from him and instead use it to drive himself. But it was rare for him to ever speak of the tale; as far as he knew, only Xcoutal and Dove knew now.

XXXTruth be told, Yui hadn't quite anticipated an interjection from Garret so soon after the start of her own story. Perhaps it was the manner in which she talked about the subject, her hesitance. Her weakness. It conveyed a certain emotion that she wasn't used to sharing with another, especially someone like that of Garret. It carried a sense of uncertainty and doubt in her tone. About her thoughts, her actions, and conveyed something quite clear that she didn't know how else to express. That was sorrow, and moreso, regret. His tone was serious, unwavering in whatever meaning he meant to get across to her. Speaking of terminology that she had heard similar of in the past, a phrase she understood and experienced herself. .. At least, that's what she tried to convince herself of. She was willing to die at any moment for a just cause, especially in the caverns where time and time against she took on the weight of the world to try and ensure everyone else's safety and survival. Yet... She had such a hard time following those very words when it came to someone else when it came to their sacrifice in her favor. Or at the very least, in the sole circumstance, it had occurred. Still, she understood the reason in his words. She didn't disagree, but rather, still had yet to come to terms with what had happened. But she couldn't deny that it was reflecting on those very events, her desire to keep history from repeating, that gave her the strength to push on. "I suppose.. I know first hand. That memory can be used to accomplish astonishing things, just as easily as lamenting it can bring about the worst... I've experienced both sides." It was particularly the way he spoke, the way his tone conveyed the meaning, that really resonated with her. She was never the best with social cues, with underlying tones or meanings... But there was something different in his demeanor, even if for the faintest of moments. There was a sense of understanding, a sense of... Empathy, of relation. Despite the smile that tried to convince her otherwise, that attempted to reassure her in understanding, it was as if he himself was speaking from experience. Which... There was still so much she didn't know about him, so... It was entirely possible, especially as an heir and refugee from Vacuo. 'We live, and fight on, for those who have fallen.' She repeated in her mind, as a manner of reassurance. But with it, lingered a question that hummed in the back of her mind.
She had no problem leaving the remainder of her tale up in the air for a few moments in time. While it was initially teased with a sense of playfulness, there was more to it than that. It was rare that they got so much time to talk with one another, to connect. And at the risk of that time being cut short between the two for some reason or another as it had in the past. She may have intentionally left some of her stories in limbo to hear his part. Whatever it may be. Though, she herself hadn't anticipated with him telling her an older tale, though one he believed had similarities to her own. Truth be told, she had been more interested than she was willing to admit what he had been up to since their last encounter. But, at the same time, there was still so little that Yui actually knew about her companion. So, all the same, she would listen with curiosity, her pale blue hues focused intently on him briefly. Of course, as they were still traveling out in the open, they'd only lock on him briefly every few moments. It was best to keep their wits about them, even if they were both confident in their abilities. They were in uncertain territory, where anything could go wrong at any moment. From just his introductory statement, she could feel this story would be different. It was a story that bore a heavyweight to it, though he left it ambiguous of who it was and the purpose of it. At least, somewhat. It could have been a story of himself or a story he was told, and she herself had been told of many Lioncourt tales. Something she'd keep an open mind to as he pressed on.
She listened carefully as he went further into detail about the young noble, who sounded so unlike the only Vacuo native that she knew personally. So unlike herself, as well. In her eyes, it was odd to have a family who was combat-oriented yet never desire to be in such a position. .. Perhaps it was because she was raised from the earliest times of her youth to be a soldier. Something that every Lioncourt was taught, and expected to follow that very path. It never crossed her mind to do anything otherwise, it being so ingrained in her upbringing. It just seemed... Odd. Yet, even that upbringing failed to prepare them for the worst, just as this young Vacuo noble had experienced. Yui's gaze softened, listening to the tale of tragedy that led to the downfall of the mother and father. Who, despite the determination of 10 or more men, suffered a similar fate all the same. It was heartbreaking and grew to be even more so as Garret continued the tale of an ever-unfolding tragedy. Even his own tone began to change to that of a darker one, a sense of emotion being conveyed with the words of his story in a way that connected him to the words. That the story had impacted him in a particular manner, or even...
Yui could feel the cords of her heart-tugging, tightening in the cavity of her chest. At the mention of the brother and sister being left on their own, then abandoning her for himself... She couldn't help but think back to that very night herself. While she never experienced such a fate with Grimm, she had with something she felt were much worse. The cruelty of men who hunted her family, who had a choice and weren't just ravenous animals. The night that the Crows that adorned the wings of her fallen kin raided her estate. How her brother fought valiantly against them, both for her sake as well as his own. How despite her inexperience, she still tried her best against the goliath that towered above all of them. Yet, with a single strike, she was out for the count. How he heard her brother cry for her name. How darkness encroached on her vision, the world deafening around her as she watched her brother be struck down before her eyes. How she pleaded and begged for the goliath to stop, to spare him. He was all she had, but her words never left her lips, and her world was consumed by darkness as he was dragged away. It was recalling that same memory that led her to believe that Chase was her second chance, a chance for redemption to make up for what she couldn't do two years ago. While she was saved by her brother, the Vacuo noble was saved by a knight as they fled the ruins of what once was. Though she had gotten wrapped up in the story, she had noticed how even Garret's disposition had changed. From neutral to darker, to something more personal. His fists had clenched and unclenched with a long pause, before tightening once again as he disengaged his own gaze. All the pieces fell together in his following statement, which made the story all the more personable. ... It was a tale of the night her rival, her friend, had suffered a terrible fate that put him on his current path. ... That the tragedy that befell him and his family was the catalyst that pushed him to become the warrior that stood before her today. The Garret that once was, was now gone, changed into a new man with a new purpose. With him, he carried a weight unlike any other... One that had been even heavier than her own, not that he intended to share it that way. Yet, with the weight of his choices, his tragedy, and what was once and may still have been regrets, he smiled at her. He, more than any other, understood the dilemma that she faced in the caverns when faced with the past. That's why his words felt so personable because he was speaking from his own experience. An experience that he wished to convey with her, to guide her in a way he had guided himself. He had taken the entirety of his tale and twisted it in a manner to push the wind beneath her wings once more, just as he always seemed to do. This time, however, it was much more sincere and personal. Not just a challenge, but a new connection and understanding. "... I.. Understand what you're trying to tell me.""Doubt, loss, remorse, regrets. We will have victories that we strive for, but we have defeats that'll pull us down and keep us there if we're not careful. We have to be able to look forward, to push onwards and kindle their memory and spirit with our own. With it, we can rise to the occasion, we can better ourselves, and we can do what it takes to make a choice without regrets, just as those before us would have."".. Though, I still need time to come to terms. In my heart, his spirit burns. When I think of him, it either snuffs out the flames or burns brighter than ever before. Even as I try to push on, I can't control it... But, I'm trying.. That's all I can do, isn't it?" ... '.. Though, does there come a point that keeping their memory alive with us instead becomes just living for the sake of their memory?' As silly as the question may have sounded in her head, it had sense to it. Ever since her brother died, especially in the presence of her mother, she felt that she was living for him rather than herself. That her position, her presence, her continued existence were because of her brother. That now she had to carry the weight of his life and deeds with her own so that she could amount to all he had done. Not that she minded. She looked up to him, admired him, and hoped to be half the hunter he ever was. As if at the drop of a hat, the mood of circumstance shifted in an instant. Accompanied by a spark in his eye, Garret took a particular stab at Yui that he knew would rile her up. Even if her being riled was simply her matching his own arrogance to fan the flames. It was exciting and enjoyable. It took away from dreary academy life and made her feel that much more alive. "I thought you'd realize by now, Lancer, that towel was left behind on the beach a year ago. The only thing I expect to be thrown in your spear as I fly overhead." It was still hard to believe that the two had met by chance just a year ago. So much had changed, yet the two of them were still exactly the same with one another. Somehow, two nobles from different backgrounds who didn't quite fit into the mold of society resonated with one another. Yui would carefully nod at his words, taking his offer into consideration. With it, came a certain softness in her tone. " I appreciate you sharing so much of your tale with me.. It conveys a certain insight if that makes sense. If you don't mind, I would be interested in hearing more.." .. Perhaps there was more to her own tale that she should convey to him as well. A part of her story that she hadn't shared with anyone, not a soul outside her own family. Fabrications of the story had gone around in media, among nobles, about the tragedy that was the Lioncourt family and an agency that seemed to have an out for them. But, there was more to it than that. Being a survivor herself, she knew there was so much more... She just didn't know the full picture herself. But, that was for another time. Instead...
She had a current tale to continue for her companion. "But, I suppose I owe you that much, Garret. Fasten your spears, this is when the phoenix soared." As much weight as their swaying conversation carried, it was almost a nice break in between to switch gears to her own passage. To share both past and [near] present seemed to show just how similar their paths were, even as circumstances and time differed. "Once we escaped the collapsed cavern, we were all pretty well spent. I retained a bit of pep and went on ahead to scout, and lead the extraction squad back to my team. .. Well, I had intended to, anyways." She paused briefly, her previously optimistic tone to grant Garret's request shifting to that of more neutral. Looking back, she still had a distaste for the Commander with their interactions, unable to shake the bitterness of it all. "I reported back to the commander, only to be informed that during the collapse they were unable to reach the other half of squad alpha. There were signs of an altercation and blood. .. I understand that they couldn't proceed forward with extraction, with cave instability and the saboteur at large, so... I requested immediate redeployment, but was denied and ordered to medical." There was a sense of disappointment in her tone, sounding as if the story was ready to end there. In fact, it almost had. But... The better side of her just couldn't let it go, no matter how she was raised. Not after what she had been through, not after knowing loss from a time before, and nearly reliving it again. "But I couldn't do that. When the Commander declared the remainder to be MIA or even dead, I couldn't just sit by. Not knowing that my team survived against all odds, not knowing that I was still able-bodied. I was left shook and uncertain... That was until, of course, someone you're quite familiar with gave me encouragement." This was where the story would truly begin, a brief hint towards someone that they had referenced not long prior. "This is where you could say I got a little too ambitious, especially after Aurtrox put wind beneath my wings again. Orders couldn't hold me back anymore. I flew right back into the cavern and began making my way towards the last place I saw them." She.. Still wasn't sure what she would've done if Autrox hadn't been there. If he wasn't there to give his two cents, to guide her. Would she had been able to act on her own accord, or would the students have died in those very caves? "I had never seen so many beowolves... Dozens upon dozens. I burned as many as I could, but it seemed endless. Something was calling them further in the cave, something so compelling that they started ignoring even me. Wherever they were going, I was certain that's where Alpha was ... Or what was left of them, so I let them lead the way." It was no wonder that the military couldn't have pressed any further. Unlike them, she had an aerial advantage. Though she had intentions to take out every Grimm she saw, she could do so from a safer distance. .. At least, unless something airborne like a ravager or lancer came into the fray. "It was deep in the cavern, well past the point of collapse. There was a towering cliff over a moving sea of darkness with glowing eyes. They were towering up the cliff, climbing over each other like a horde. I could hear the students up top, but climbing up to them was an Alpha unlike any I had ever seen." She could recall just how overwhelming it all had been. Though she was running on adrenaline and passion, determined to go forward by any means necessary, it was still exceptionally unnerving. It was unreal, and something that no sole hunter or huntress should've attempted on their own. But... What choice did she have? "So I did what any huntress would do, I tried to reach the top first. But the beowolves had other thoughts in mind. They were leaping from the cliffside, jumping to their deaths to try and reach me, to stop me. I held them off for as long as I could, even ready to ignite the cliffside with dust. But eventually, they got their way." She remembered it so clearly. The first set of claws tearing into her, no matter how diligently she tried to cut through them. And then another, their combined weight sending her plummeting to the earth. "They piled on me and dragged me to the ground, and as they swarmed me I felt a sharp mix of both burning and stabbing through my hand. It felt familiar, but at that moment I couldn't quite understand why... I just knew that I couldn't stop, that I had to keep going. I couldn't let a few wolves stand in my way, not after I had found them already. They needed me, and I would do whatever it took to save them. I still would, even after the fact." She was ready to put all of her cards on the table, frantically grabbing for her dust to set fire to them and the cliffside. But on impact, the shard of dust pierced through her hand, and with it, an all-consuming azure blaze. "And that's when it happened again, and I understood why. I was consumed by an inferno, and rode it to the top, incinerating everything in my way. I made it just in time to meet the alpha head-on at the edge of the cliff, and I now knew the secret of my flames. Down in the collapse, I was impaled by dust when I was knocked out. Here, I had the dust plunged straight through my hand. The secret was dust and willpower." She said calmly, though her tone hinted at some semblance of being proud for uncovering a new range of capabilities with her discovery. With stating that, she noticeably began to dig into a pouch on her hip. "Knowing that I knew I could do more. Albeit, I didn't know the consequences. I added explosive dust into the mix with the one in my palm. With the two and what aura I had left, I had enough firepower to scorch the entire cliffside, and the Alpha with it." That's where her seemingly proud disposition had shifted, her demeanor becoming noticeably more disappointed. "At least, if it had been normal Alpha. It had survived and came at us again, this time adorned with deep blue, blazing cracks from near incineration. As if it embodied hellfire itself. Which led to both fortune and misfortune striking in the same instance. The cliff had collapsed beneath both its weight and both of our attacks. It fell back down through the cave floor, but so did one of the students... Her name was Reikka. She was saved, but not by us. ... It had all happened so fast. Someone had been watching us, and used that opening to snatch her away. .. I couldn't do anything about it, though, not in my current state..."
She remembered that sense of helplessness. Her attempting to grab her newly acquired blue dust and charge off into the fray. But her body wouldn't let her, not after what she had just put herself through. It wasn't just telling her to stop, but forcing her with the agony she had taken upon herself. "My attack came at a cost, and that was essentially setting my every vein on fire in my arm. I had begun to reconnect with the students, both in telling them what happened and listening to their situation. It was... A mess. Just as my arm was. One of the students, Nox, had come to my aid... There were still traces of the dust I used in my system, and she was able to use her semblance to draw it out. Only... It was different now, it's composition had changed." She mentioned, still with uncertainty. She had no idea why the reaction with her aura had seemingly both changed the color and nature of the dust. With that brief mention, her fingers tugged at the azure crystal from her pouch. It was different from both ice and hard light dust, the color being a rich azure blue, akin to that of her flames. The color had been inconsistent as if the fire itself had been preserved in a crystallized state. She held it up for Garret to see, curious if perhaps he had some insight into the anomaly. "After all of that... Everything was pretty straight forward. We finished our task at hand and found a passage out of the cavern. I was detained, as well as a teammate of mine that had followed in after the alpha beowolf attack. It was to be expected, I defied orders. But... They were saved because of it. Well, most of them.. I... We... weren't able to find or save Reikka, we didn't have the strength. Elsewise I wouldn't have left without her. I still don't know what came of her situation..." Her words had begun to trail off. It was terrible of her to forget, to not follow up with reports or information of how Reikka's rescue had gone, or if it had even occurred in these past three months. She had been so focused on recovery and other circumstance that she was never presented with the option, and now, would have that thought plaguing her mind until she got clarification. But... That was her story, her tale, about how the girl on fire quite literally set herself on fire twice. How the phoenix soared in darkness and gained the mark that was now placed permanently on her hand. ".. So, to recap. I ignored direct orders, killed a handful of beowolves, set myself on fire then proceeded to blow myself up in order to kill MORE beowolves, aid most of the squad alpha, and almost kill an alpha beowolf, and get arrested. I hope that's enough of a climactic ending for you, Lancer." As much as she had regrets about the situation with Reikka, Yui also knew that she did all that she could have. It was difficult to swallow, but she had little choice in the matter. While she wished that she could have done more, she had already done far more than anyone could have expected or wanted her to do. She took what little satisfaction she could in that. Still, as they walked deeper into the outskirts where the sun dimmed through the canopy of trees, she felt that they were no closer to their destination. ".. If you're willing, I'd like to hear more about your tales, Garret. To hear more about Garret of the House Reveley, and how he came to be. I apologize in advance, as I doubt I have much other exciting news to share myself.." She felt that he knew much more about her than she knew of him. From their brief encounters, the stories about her, and their interaction with Lafalle. She was curious more about his tale, about him, and now... It seemed as if they had all the time in the world, chasing dreams and legends.

The time had come. It was honestly surprising that he was going to be teaching a class. He honestly did not expect that from Autrox but it beats being a security guard. Almost. The night was exciting as he did not know what to wear. No really, he did not have a great assortment of shirts because he usually went without them and he felt he would get yelled at if he went with a hoodie like he normally does. Oh wait...that's right. Aurelia would have my hide he thought to himself. He was thrown into the fire quickly and for some it may have been hard to handle but underneath the aloof and stupidity that Hades gave off he was smarter than one would think. His high analytical IQ already was working on what to do for the class. Did he....procrastinate. Not exactly. He just was picking between extreme mode or just normal. Considering these were more teams on the newer side, he felt the soft touch would work for now. Placing a hand onto of Cereby's head, he would pet the tiger gently before starting to head off.
After a few hours, he would stand at the entrance of the airship watching as the students who were taking the class would board the ship. As they boarded the ship they would be stripped of all their items and weapons having nothing but themselves. Some of the items would be backed up into a box while others would be sectioned off into storage. After their items were taken, they would be blindfolded quickly with a black leather type binding which made sure nothing could be seen and placed them in total darkness. "Just standstill. Walking will end up having you bumping into each other. Do not need that on my first day" He commented. Once everyone was blindfolded and accounted for, he the air craft would be off heading towards the outskirts.
"Hello, My name is professor Hades. Welcome to Survival Class. What is survival? Its the ability to live no matter the circumstances. Many people think its just in the wild or in forest or desert. However, survival occurs every day. Even just going to this school you are in survival mode. Living. Thriving given the circumstances that occur each day. Grimm. Emotional distress. Having haters and natural enemies. Our enemies are not just Grim. They are people who oppose you. People who oppose your ideals but do not get it missed up with differences of opinions. You can disagree but when those who disagree don't allow you that freedom and try to take it that's where it becomes opposition. Anything can be your enemy. Grim, Faunus, or Humans...even machines... So, that's what we going to experiment with today. Kind of. We will have a hunger game. Survive till the end of class or Escape to the shelter to Pass. In order to get into the shelter, you need all 3 key cards. 2 among you will have a key card. The third one is in one of the 4 chests that out in the outskirts. There are other ways to pass but...I will not explain. It shall be a surprise. You receive bonus points for eliminations. If you get 3 or more eliminations these points triple. You can essentially pass the class based on eliminations if you like. What is an elimination? Simple, beat up your opposition, and ignite their flare. if their flare is ignited by you then they are eliminated and will be retrieved. Likewise, if someone wants to give up or feel they cannot survive or handle this test they can ignite their own flare to give up and be rescued. You can team up if you want but this is not a team event. You will not be graded as a team but as individuals. One last thing, put your defensive aura up now and make sure it stays up until after you land. Don't need you accidentally killing yourselves." He would say. Before anyone could question, the bottom of the aircraft would open and send the students falling into the forest in a randomized pattern. He, would grab onto a railing to keep from flying out as well. Their defensive aura would protect them from the fall (it may even aura break some possibly) but they would live. "I think that was a good way to implement Aurelia's little defense aura requirement" Hades stated out loud after the belly of the plane closed and he let go of the railing he used to keep himself in the plane.
Looking over the files, he would pull up cameras to watch and make sure everyone landed without dying. That was when he got to Pyrrhus the knight from the water festival. Reading the file he stopped. "He has no defensive aura.....oh s**t... I hope he lands in the river (hint) or Autrox may have my hide." He commented almost concerned. Thinking about how he had the class set up, he sighed. "I got a nice shirt just for no one be able to see me in it. CURSES! Though I did tell them Grimm was down there right...probably should of not told them about elimination bonus since grim are there....welp It be fine"
OOC: More information is in post above. Long story short, It's Night time. You are blindfolded and dropped out of the aircraft into a random area based on the color you got. Use ur defensive aura to protect against the fall. After that, survive. It's a free for all. Mod posts will happen occasionally. Until then just post. Yo do not have to wait on me to post and there is no posting order unless you are interacting with another person. Chests will appear by mod post so don't worry about them. Good Luck.

Rowser Rabbleman Team TYRD "Silence is golden. And that's also why I'm not stupid rich."
Rowser was incredibly happy to have been on a team with his friends. Sure, he felt he could make friends with anyone, but this way they could skip the awkward getting to know each other phase. Now, however, it was time for his first official class and his first step towards becoming a Huntsman. And that first step included one onto an airship. Why were they on an airship? That's a strange place to teach a class. Shortly after boarding his weapon and scroll were taken away. That made sense, he supposed. What did NOT make sense, however, was the blindfold.
“Hey!?” He shouted startledly, “I didn't sign up for this! Wait, did I sign up for this? Do I need a safe word?” He leaned over to where he thought Teal had been standing, unfortunately it was Yumeko's ear he whispered in instead, “My safe word is 'bananas'.”
He listened as their instructor, Hades, explained the premise of their class and the “game” they would be playing. Despite having come into class as a team, they weren't a team. But they could act like a team. But they weren't being graded as a team. He was already planning to team up with Damien, at least. Somehow he didn't imagine Teal would be interested in doing the same, but perhaps this could be a chance to impress her. When Hades concluded his explanation, Rowser's head tilted slightly. He was about to question why rather than follow the simple instruction before the floor beneath him opened up, causing him to shriek loudly. Fortunately he would manage to get his aura up before his body slammed into the ground and bounced off it.
“Okay...that wasn't fun...” He groaned as he climbed onto his feet. The fall had significantly drained his aura. Normally he'd have been able to minimize the impact, but having been blindfolded he wasn't able to see how quickly the ground came up. Speaking of, could he take the stupid thing off yet? “Hey, can I take this stupid thing off yet?” No response. “...Hello? Anybody?” He peaked through the blindfold to see he had landed on his own (for now, at least), and removed the blindfold completely. Due to the adrenaline from the sudden drop his exoskeleton had already begun to protrude beneath his clothes, starting with his back. The red, vest-like carapace growing out to cover most of his back, along with the bioluminescent light from his tailbone. He hadn't even noticed, but fortunately the light was still covered by his pants for now. He would also notice an axe that had landed near him. Or maybe it was given to him before the drop? The axe belonged to Peninnah, not that he knew that. The boy lifted the weapon with a grunt. “Holy crap!” He complained, “How is anyone supposed to fight with this thing?” It was incredibly top heavy as he discovered after taking a few practice swings; much different than his cutlass, The Whozeewatz.
“Okay, so...survive? Key cards? Um....” It was at that moment he realized he was out in the open. “So should I head for the trees, or follow the river? Or...um...something else?” Clearly decision making wasn't a strength of his.

OOC: For ease of reading, the first 3 paragraphs are establishing/on the airship. TL;DR: His aura is low, he has Peninnah's weapon apparently, his exoskeleton is 1/2 extruded under his clothes, and he's standing out in the open like a dummy.

Lyosha Rodion (Fava) Ruric
Large Lyo: Boulder Fist
The lage teenager came to class right on time- unlike most, he had received far too many punishments for being late in his previous schools! Lyo might have been hardy but...Enough punishment broke people! Eventually he never was late. Especially now! He didn’t wear a uniform, he wore a simple red jacket and a white shirt under it with jeans over his boxers and such. His hair was messy, and he looked fairly tired, but it was nothing compared to the view! Lyosha was in total awe by the airship- for him, it was the first time he’d been on one. He had always lived a simple life with his parents, nothing special, except for his adventures while in high school. No one ever really left Vale, and there was a good reason for it. So when the school forced him onto the airship, he had no problem with it. While Yes it was like corralling an animal, at least the animal...Lyosha, was happy! By the time they took his scroll and his bag, he was little put off, but not as angry as anyone else. He took a deep breath and waved towards Mt. Hades, even as he was blindfolded. “Hey Mr. Hades! Glad I could be in your class today-!” He said as Hades spoke again. The thing that made him pay attention was elimination, why did they need to do this? It was survival, there’s no point in fighting unless you have to! While that was hypocritical to say, as Lyosha was a brawler in school, yet he's calmed down quite a bit since then. Then the defensive aura idea- he didn’t understand it until the floor dropped out from under them- while blindfolded! “MR. HADES WHAT THE FU-” He yelled as he fell, like a rock! The massive teenager wasn’t exactly light weight, and had no experience with falling. He took several deep breaths as he fell. “What the f*ck-f*ck-f*ck! Gotta see what’s here before I hit the g-ground!” He yelled to himself as he tried to move his head up, he was falling near deep woods so there was a chance he wouldn’t be able to see anything from there. He noted a few things- specifically, a river towards the north. He slung his body and head to face that direction, as he knew that he might not be able to see it once he landed. In his head, thoughts were moving a thousand miles an hour. As he came close to the ground he activated his full, defensive aura. A rare use of it for Lysoha made it rather tiring as he hit the ground at an angle and rolled into a tree! "God f*cking- Owww!” He groaned as he lifted himself off the ground he crashed into with slight dizziness. “Okay...North...I think I’m facing that way…” Lyosha stated as he moved towards the north. Thank god he removed the blindfold while he fell. Water...I need water...F*ck fighting...I need to live and thrive here, not be the strongest. Endurance is what matters, not violence...I’ve had enough of the bullsh*t. He thought to himself as he walked towards the north, without any tools...Only his hands, and body. This was survival after all, who needed their weak weapons! He survived his schooling by his body alone, none of the weak a** weapons everyone seems to love!

Why was there a class in the middle of the night!? Nejina had expected classes around the corner, after a detestable enough of time from the festival behind her shadow, though she had concluded classes were a daytime kind of ordeal. How was this all right!? Such audacity for the staff members of this institute to believe a class should be held so late! If it weren't illegal to outright smack everyone with a good crowbar swing, she would have done so the moment she had been received such news! "My beauty sleep is interrupted for the sake of education. I will have to set the leave-in conditioner to my hair much later in the evening when I return Lots of repellent... My skin will not be tarnished my insects!!" While others were perhaps worrying about classes and passing it, Nejina was more concerned about the night time experience, and how to properly assure she could fix her nightly beauty routine in between a proper sleep, and for after the mission itself. She also had her part time job the next day in the afternoon, which collided everything into one cluster of scheduling. Bah!!! What a time range! If she were about to head into class this late, she may as well had prepared everything earlier on to adjust. Such a things was luckily accomplished, for the sake of her mood for the class itself.
When she had arrived, she had her hair freshly washed, her braids in their ringlets smooth and silky for class carrying a faint scent of vanilla. The vanilla was hard to smell however, due to the heavy coating of mosquito repellent she had sprayed on before leaving for the class. Nejina was also fresh faced with make up, and in her attire she had been looking forward to wearing for a long while. Things would surely pick up on her mood from there. She hoped. There was nothing worse than stress causing an early age of wrinkles, especially with how she valued her youth. Of course, upon arrival, all those hopes were diminished. Hannibal, her beloved weapon, was in her grasp, and it was truly the only insight she had taken into consideration. They got to use their weapons~. Whatever was going to happen, perhaps hitting some enemy will make the night more lively, as long as none of it would turn out like the water fights, where no one was allowed to be hurt. Beggars couldn't be choosers! Least she wasn't standing there technically alone either. There were majority of the class already there on arrival. She had planned on remaining at the sidelines, observing how teammates normally act with one another. Never having been on a team herself, she could only speculate, and had hoped on the chance of this class giving better insight, despite seeing a few disinterests of races together, and talking like .....Ew.... Normal people. What anyone may have thought about her standing there alone was irrelevant. She just couldn't wait to get things started. That small thought only lasted until it was time to board the ship. As soon as she had stepped on there, she was already going south. "Ex-CUSE you!?" What was this about their weapons being taken away!? Their items!? What was this about losing their sight!? "No! Not my Hannibal!" She was stripped away from her beloved possession. and as the blindfold had went around her head, she hissed at the one responsible. "Not so tight! Watch my hair!" When she had heard Hades familiar voice out of the blue, telling them all to stand still she had no holds barred from hiding the scowl on her face. The shape of her mouth had said it all. "What!? This was his idea!?"
Saying nothing, Nejina had forced her silence. Having no idea he was the actual teacher, it wasn't until he began the actual class, had she scoffed under her breath. "What!? Isn't he too YOUNG to be teaching us!?" Voicing this in her mind, she listened regardless, almost... Pouting and cracking, at the flashbacks she was getting, based on parts of his explanation. Plenty of it hit too close to home for comfort, and she wished she could shut him up on that. The explanations for the class, however, had yet to be said. She had to occupy her anger by trying to inspect the item she had in her hand . What was this rectangular item? It was smooth, flat... Rather thin. She could not get anything off it aside from it being the size of her hand, and that it was rectangular. "What is this..." From what Hades had gone onto talking about, this had to be one of them key cards he was speaking of. Amusing how she got one. With a bit of a smirk, she tucked it away into her pocket. Doing that had proved to be the smartest move, Though if only the others could be less enthusiastic about this! This was a travesty! Then again, she was naturally salty on this shindig all together. That saltiness and wrath increased when they were told to put their defensive aura up with an added effect she had to look around and find her precious Hannibal in the middle of the woods. "How DARE you take MY Hannibal, and put it somewhere in that filth encrusted woods!!" Shaking a fist at a random direction she had thought him to be, a scream came out of her mouth as they all dropped. "i'LL GET YOU FOR THIS HOWLER MONKEY WHEN I FIND MY WAY BACK UP THEEEREEE!!!!" What was the point of eliminating stuff without her weapon to be part of the fun!? Unfortunately, she had put that thought aside, descending down to the ground, all the while keeping up her aura. "Kyah!" Using her aura to balance out the landing, Nejina had smacked to the ground, collapsing near a pile of leaves. "EyUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!" My hair!" The concentration of her aura had helped her land, but the cost of her hair touching the ground had her angry 2 hours of conditioning. Ruined!" Ripping off the blindfold with an angry and dramatic noise, she looked around the area, taking the flare given to her earlier on out of her pocket. From what she could barely see, there was a chest of sorts ear her, as well as someone near by her. Forcing down her annoyance, she forced herself to speak, squinting. "Who by chance is here?"

The petite young woman was preparing for the nighttime class; strange but, not so strange as the dark did not bother her like it did other Humans; no...faunus...? She shook her head and pushed such thoughts away for now. It had been days and she was surprised but, pleased to find out she had the young knight of olde on her team, the other two, siblings, were interesting enough; even if the so-called leader made her want to hit him. Anyways, focusing on the upcoming survival class, she wondered how it might be. Thinking about it, she shook her head and decided to leave her armor here for once.
Hair tied back into a ponytail with a dark blue ribbon. She was dressed in an off-the-shoulder dark blue tunic the revealed the tattoo/birthmark on her left shoulder, along with a leather guard-belt around the waist to cinch said tunic, a leather bracer with her yellow Yowlumne bracelet over it. She would slip on fitted black pants underneath said tunic as well as socks and finally her boots. She had looked to Pyrrhus, Alois and Thyra as they too were getting ready for tonight's class.'This should be an interesting test,'She thought to herself as she lightly rubbed the dragonfly-like birthmark under her left eye.
She would then strap her weapons' harness to to her back after sheathing all weapons."Come on, we're going to be late."Peninnah said in excitement. Okay, that wasn't true, exactly, but she really wanted to get to the plane. She had never been in one or even seen one before, so she wanted to see it soon.'I wonder who the teacher is,'She thought absently as she would then begin walking with her teammates. Thyra, she wanted to wrestle with at some point, as she wished to do the same with their "leader" Alois, but for now, she would refrain."Holy Vacuo,"Peni said, awestruck by the new contraption; at least it was new to her.
Looking to the others of her team, she would frown.'I don't like this,'She thought as she saw the confusion and even some excitement of the other students that had arrived. Ah, there was a familiar face from the water fight, as she tried to think of the name."Nejina...You shouldn't cry,"Peni said thoughtfully before looking ahead and sighing the rest under her breath.
When it came to the rules and they were walking onto the flying machine, having not been used to this, she would bite her lip at being told to get rid of their weapons and give them up to the Teacher...The False God. He would be able to tell her dislike through the murderous glare. But, she would reluctantly comply and give each weapon as well as the harness separately. When they took off, she felt her heart speed up and her stomach drop (figuratively) while they took off.'Why hold still?'She thought before she would see what was happening to the other students before her...Bound and blindfolded?!"Better pray my battle axe is unharmed, or I will break your pretty face,"Peni told Hades softly but, serious before she'd hear the rules; her thoughts on her weapon at the time.
She may not know what hunger games were, but she knew enough from listening that this was the Exact Opposite of what they had been taught while living with the Yowlumne. Shaking herself mentally, she didn't get much more time to think before she would be dropped. Counting mentally, she wasted no time using her strength to tear at her binds and remove the blindfold. Aura would be activated as she readied to roll to soften the landing. Wouldn't lie, if it was painful.'Nothing seems broken...Surrounded by trees...Alone,'She thought taking note of surroundings once she could sit up, dizzy, but otherwise unharmed."Okay...now what,"Peni thought as she took stock where she was. Wasting no time, she went to one of the trees and broke off a strong branch before she would try and look for a few sharp stones to start a makeshift weapon...
The clock buzzed obnoxiously while Damien tossed on his bed trying to blindly feel for the sleep button. “Just five more minutes,” Damien said sleepily almost reaching the button in question before flopping onto the hardwood floor with a‘thunk’. He laid his head on the cold and inviting floor almost falling asleep again when his body suddenly jumped shocking him awake. He looked around to find his comrades already gone, “Drats.”
Once awake, the first thing Damien did was shower because it always seemed to wake him up a little bit. He had a certain routine that would not be broken, even in the middle of the night prepping for his first class at Beacon. Survival class was probably going to give him a run for his money give that the very first introductory meet was in the middle of the night. Damien inadvertently shivered. His vision compared to other faunus was lacking in that regard; through his life, this had caused him a lot of grief and fear. The things that go bump in the night. The young man would likely not see, nor hear them coming, and he would be swallowed whole.
Finally, Damian was dressed and prepared for anything. He had eaten a little something, which he had prepared himself and all the other little important bits to being a functioning person in the morning. A ship was prepared for boarding; Damien looked around trying to find a familiar face. “Rowser,” Damien’s face perked up and called out to his friend from across the way to no avail. His goofy grin was quickly replaced by frustration as the students were ushered onto the ship being stripped of their weapons, as well as blindfolded. “Oh okay,” Damien chuckled while a sly smile played upon his lips.
The person who was obviously the instructor projected their voice as much as they could; however, it was easily drowned out by the deafening sound of the airship. Damien caught pieces of their instructions here-and-there but mostly, the young man would have to wing the operation with no formal instruction. At the very least, he was thankful to have a weapon despite it not being his own. They felt very similar to his own weapon, slightly lightweight and dual-wield. There would be a little less overall mobility, especially given his lack of familiarity with the pair of dual battle axes. He would make it work, however. The more positive aspect of not being able to hear very well was that his other senses were more heightened. His body was astutely aware of when the bottom began collapse beneath the unsuspecting group of students. Think, think, think. Damien used his wrist to slide the leather binding that was obscuring his view. He squinted his eyes in the dark and used the moonlight to guide his decision making while rapidly approaching the ground below. ‘There,’Damien adjusted his body and activated his aura defensively. Bracing himself for impact, the young man would land on a hefty sized tree branch allowing his knees to buckle under the pressure minimizing the impact. He would then squeal out slipping from the branch to the ground below, “Fu-.”
Damien landed on the ground with the dual-wield axes firmly in hand thank goodness. He heard a noise escape from some nearby bushes and shot up quickly regaining his bearing, “you do NOT want to mess with me, especially tonight.” His voice was a low growl but also, somewhat shaky. A cute, furry bunny came hopping out revealing itself. Embarrassed, Damien would take a few deep breaths trying to calm his nerves. Once he had regained his composure, the young man would look up into the sky. Navigation was never his strong suit; Damien just had to make do for the time being. “Uhhh, I think that means that is the… east,” the young man declared apprehensively. Unknown to the Damien, but he was actually heading north.
The young man had been traveling for about ten or fifteen minutes when he heard a screeching sound. Damien jumped out of his proverbial skin and landed in a defensive stance breathing heavily. The dark of the night terrified him. “Who by chance is here,” a feminine voice would project from nearby. Damien chuckled nervously and walked into plain view with his hands in the air. “Heyyy, my name is Damien… You,” he questioned a little bit on edge his eyes darting from one side to the other. “I… I hate… the dark. It is terrible isn’t it…,” he would question coming to a stop after getting uncomfortably close.

While it had disrupted his schedule a bit, he did not mind and was able to mostly adjust. Essentially just removing a couple hours of training he normally would've done, which he felt he may be able to make up for in the class at least. He was donning a his usual attire; cloak, gambeson, and pieces of plate armor spread around his body. Not believing he would need the full set tonight and going for slightly more maneuverability essentially; even if the armor would still slow him a bit regardless. His dragon tattoo visible on his right arm but other tattoo covered. Not wanting to travel too heavily with weapons, he merely took Dragon's Blood, kite shield and war horn. Leaving the greatsword and dagger behind on this occasion. On the contrary to Pyrrhus' definition of traveling 'light' Lady Peninah had donned much looser and mobile garments. Smiling to her and the rest of his team in excitement, Pyrrhus would await them all being ready and leave with them as Peninah's urging. Smiling slightly at her excitement. "We still have time till class; if it is a survival course, it is prudent we save our energy." He would say, though more as a suggestion than anything. He was usually the slow and steady kind of guy cause of his equipment load. The idea of going on an airship somewhere for a night class was exciting for him though; he had been on them before, but it had been some time. As they got to their destination, Pyrrhus chuckled a little at Lady Peninah's comment in regards to the airship. Though shortly after Peninah would frown for some reason. Pyrrhus was curious but did not press for now at least. Both their attentions would be taken by the sound of Nejina; their brief team mate for the water fight. She had been a bit ahead of them in queue and it seemed they would have to give up their weapons; something she seemed very much against. Even seeming perhaps...intimately possessive of her weapon? Pyrrhus wasn't quite sure, though the thought of giving up his weapons did not sit well with him either. But if that is what he needed to do, he would do it. When it came to them next, Pyrrhus saw Lady Peninah was also not comfortable with relinquishing her weapons but would do so. He also noted their teacher was the self-proclaimed God from the water fight. Pyrrhus would give him a friendly smile and wave before relinquishing his weapons. And armor as well when asked if he had clothes on beneath it; as that took a bit longer, causing him to get separated from his team as he took off all the metal plates and gambeson; still having clothes on underneath. The person probably having their hands full with how much his gear combined weighed; and wondering why he had the war horn. But eventually Pyrrhus would be let in; hearing many different and unfamiliar voices speaking, though in particular Miss Nejina complaining about it being too tight and Lady Peninah threatening the false god. Pyrrhus was honestly just curious why the girls were the more aggressive ones as he was soon blindfolded without complaints and remained still as told; seeing wisdom in not walking around blindly. Especially as the aircraft began to move and take flight; falling now would not be fun.
Pyrrhus would listen attentively as the self-proclaimed god spoke; telling them how survival was the ability to live no matter the circumstances, and it extending past just wilderness survival. It was an everyday thing; from the people you interacted with to the places you were. Pyrrhus could see the wisdom in those words, and found himself subconsciously nodding slightly to his explanation of it. He would then move on to what they were doing; something called a hunger games. They would be released somewhere to survive, fight, and try to win with a few ways to do so. Even get to somewhere called a shelter to win; though that needed 3 key cards and it seemed it would require cooperation or combat to make it in. The third card was in one of four chests; making Pyrrhus wonder what was in the other chests. The class could be won, simply, by fighting others or just making it to the morning. And that this was primarily an individual test; they could team if they wanted, but points and passing were on an individual basis. He would then say to have defensive aura before they landed. Pyrrhus was just about to mention he didn't have any when the floor gave way beneath him. In free fall, the sound of people cursing hades or just distress dominating the air as Pyrrhus remained silent just from shock. Quickly removing his blindfold, as he had no defensive aura and didn't want to die, he would see he was roughly falling towards forest and river; really hoping he would land in the water. He would try to angle himself, though had no experience in such things. 'Please don't let me perish like this.' He pleaded silently, hoping Hades accounted for his lack of aura. He would find out one way or another. Closing his eyes and bracing himself, not sure whether to expect the ground or water, he would feel pain...then relief as his fell straight into the deeper part of the river. Dazed for a few seconds by impact and shock of cold water, he would remain limp for a few moments...before snapping out of it and quickly swimming to the surface. Glad he didn't have his armor to weigh him down as he broke the surface of the water and gasped for air. Coughing and spitting some out as he swam just to stay afloat; shaking his head and wiping the water from his eyes as he quickly swam to the river bank and slowly pulled himself up. Panting, he would roll over onto his back and look up in the night sky. 'Well...I am alive at least.' He thought with a smile, and slight laugh at his fortune of escaping death. He wasn't sure if anyone had landed near him or not; he was more focused on staying alive than worrying about that, and falling into the water had made him unable to tell if anyone else crashed with him. He hoped his team was okay at least. He would wait a minute or so to recuperate, before pushing himself to his feet and trying to dry himself as best he could. There was no way he was getting dry, but he may as well not be dripping wet. Looking around in the moon-lit forest, he would think. 'Weaponless, main goal is to survive. I need to find something to arm myself and maybe a shelter...The river is a good landmark at least.' He thought to himself silently as he kneeled down to take a quick drink of water. "I need to find my team, and a weapon. Maybe a key card if anyone else has one...I wonder, if he wants us to eliminate one another, maybe there is something useful in the chests too..." He thought aloud to himself as he began walking by the river. Making note of a small island nearby which could be good for defense later. For now though, he would try to explore around and see what he could find to aid him. ♞ Post count: 12 ☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀.☀ ▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄

Classes at night! This was exciting. His first class and it was at night time! It felt more like it would be a party and… oh… guess he was wrong. Ceru’s excited mind stopped as he was stripped from his weapons and other belongings while the teacher spoke. He was a man poised with confidence. The young faunus male could not seem to take his eyes off of him. There was something about Hades that seemed commanding. Unlike most of the others, he stood in silence, a surprising feat for him, as he did his best to retain the instructions. It seemed simple? All he had to do was be the last one standing to win, but then again, there was no shame in quickly accepting his defeat or fleeing from enemies. The fact they would not be judged as a team made him relax a bit, as he did not officially have one yet.
Blindfolded he couldn’t wait to continue on with the class. Hopefully he performed well. There was one problem, he was not a flying type faunus, but humans weren’t either. He could survive right? He had been bitten by a shark, what was worst than that? Then again, Professor Hades had given them all tips on how to survive, activating their aura! Before he could get his focus on to do so, he was handed something metallic and pole shaped? There was only so much he could tell from touch, and before being pushed out.
”WEEEE I AM A FLYING OH OH OH A FLYING TODAAAAY” yelled a singing Ceru as he held onto the weapon he had been handled so it would not be flung away. He was given an advantage over others, or so he was soon going to learn. As he made his way down, his other hand took off the blindfold, his faunus eyes adjusting quickly to the lack of light. In ths distance he spotted a river. His hydrophobia would not activate with that! It was a large enough body of water. It would be better to land in than a tree or the ground, besides it was his element. Still, well aware that water was not always pleasant to land in, having landed many belly flops in his short life, he kept his aura active to avoid any unnecessary damage as he shot into the cold water. Quickly he adjusted his limbs so he would be propelled back up rather than continue downward and hit the bottom.
Breaking the surface he just stayed there, his nose barely out of the water so he could breathe, as his eyes picked up his surroundings. Perhaps he could spend all the class in the river avoiding confrontation?
Yumeko was getting ready for class. She was prepared, she was wearing her school uniform, and it looked pressed, and neat on her. She looked around to her team. She was happy with how this was going to go. She almost offered a wager on what they would be learning. Then again, she wasn't a wagering girl, she was a Card shark. She smiled a little at her own joke. She was nothing more than a human after all.
They would arrive to class, and as they were standing, they were told to hand over all of their weapons. Yumeko always kept her weaponized deck on the side of her leg, in a neat little card holder. She would then smile. there were rumors that he was a womanizer. She would put on a fake blush, "B...but Professor, I don't know if I can do it while you are watching. Maybe if I turn around?" She would turn around, and slowly bend over, showing the a**-sects her mother gave her. She would then slowly take off the garter that held the deck to her leg, almost making it dance. When the teacher turned around, she would take the normal deck of cards from her pocket, and pop a few buttons. "My, my, is i thot out here or is it just me?" She would then slip the cards into right under her bra. She would then take the other set of Tarrot cards from her other pocket. "Here is my sets of cards teacher." She would leave her shirt open a little, her light pink bra slightly showing.
She would then be blindfolded, it was so dark that she couldn't see. "Oh, I didn't know you liked it like that teacher." Red would flush to her face, as if she were about to play a game of Secret Hitler. Now that was an interesting game to turn into a gamble. The cards were still jammed under her bra.
Then she would get up, ready to be pushed out of the plane. In a flirty voice, right before she was pushed out. "Maybe I have....." Then, she would be pushed out of the plane. "...fallen for you" She couldn't help but laugh at her own pun. However, once she left the plane, a serious face would overcome her. She actually felt nothing for the teacher, and it wasn't the first time she'd have to use her womanly wiles to get what she wanted. She would remove her blindfold as she was about to land. You have to tuck and roll not to take damage right? She would do so, her red and black aura flickering as she did it wrong. She'd land on her butt. Getting up she would rub it. She needed Teal to teach her how to do that. Now, what was a human to do in the woods with nothing but a deck of cards and her wits?
First she would start walking in the moonlight, collecting small, almost equal sized stones.
Heading towards his first class ever in his life, Goro felt a little apprehensive, mainly because the course happened to be held at night. Goro indeed found it weird and not being in good communication with his teammates. He is not even sure what class he is currently in, but how hard can it be. Goro had all his supplies with him on top of two wooden pencils, a blue ink pen, and a notebook to take notes, of course. He was prepared for whatever this class had to offer, or so he thought. Goro stopped dead in his tracks as he noticed a massive vessel that other students were walking on. His jaw dropped when he saw staff members confiscating the various tools each student needed to defend themselves in the event of a grim attack well. upon seeing this, Goro smoothly turned around and walked in the other direction and spoke to himself, saying. "Hold on a minute, what kinda class is held on a damn airship. Unless this is some type of field trip, I don't want i-" Before he could finish his sentence, Goro was being ushered by staff towards the airship. Goro would begin to beg and plead to no avail as they stripped him of all his equipment but gave him a funny looking sword and was thrown aboard like tomorrow's trash. Before he could take a good look around, he was blindfolded. Goro then started to think about all he missed out on life because he is about to be kidnapped and maybe even killed like helpless cattle. But that was when he heard a voice that spoke with authority. He calmed down for a second to listen to what he had to say but after listening to that?! It only made matters worse. Goro wanted to ask questions like where the hell is the nearest exit, but it turns out Mr.Hades had already answered that question. Goro heard the sound of metal moving, and before you know it, the very floor Goro was standing on betraying him.
The floor barraged open, releasing the students from the sky as if they were raindrops from the heavens. The sound of rushing air was so loud Goro was having trouble hearing his thoughts. Free falling now, the force of the air blasted the blindfold off his eyes and further up into the sky. In doing this, Goro could finally see, but he'd prefer to be blindfolded from what he could perceive. Their ground was a blur from several feet up but getting closer and closer, Goro was able to see the world more and more clearly, and that thought alone was frightening enough. All Goro had to say at this moment was, "WHAT THE ********?!" Goro activated his defensive aura with a dark green tint engulfed by Goro because he didn't see any water from that high up. With a thick forest quickly approaching, Goro decided it's time to stop acting like (Excuse me to say) a b***h and focus. He was given a funny sword; he quickly pulled that out and knew he had his durability plus the aura. "I can do this," Goro whispered to himself. He opened his body up, stretching his arms and legs to have draft to slow him down a bit. This bought him a few extra seconds with this new time. Goro examined the area and decided a rough descent through the thick forestry would be his best option. Nearing the treetops, Goro would crash into thick tree branches breaking a few and bouncing off many like a toy until finally stabbing the sword into a thick trunk of a tree, allowing him to come slowly to a halt. Still a couple of feet into the air, Goro would take out the sword and fall a little before stabbing it back into the tree at a lower height. He keeps this up until he was close enough the ground to jump and suffer minimal damage. Once on the ground, Goro Simple kissed the earth and ...id "Oh, how I missed, you... Never treat me like that again, okay..?" Goro then sat up and looked up into the sky, seeing the open ... time to focus... I have to survive but in order to do that I have to hunt down my classmates… Or better yet.." With that, Goro took the sword that was given to him and started to look for bushes to cut off and make his makeshift cammo for this bushy environment. "Let's pass this damn class shall we."

Teal was up with the chickens, had eaten breakfast and lunch and an early dinner and had woken her teammates up that day just like she did everyday. Arriving early with others she realized instantly something was off. For starters they made her leave all her weapons. Including her knife, she had her survival pack still though, so that was good. She knew what this class was, and figured it would be one of the first she would take. Probably something along the lines of “Lets see just how much of a survivalist she is.” That was fine, she didn’t care.
But it was seeing her team mates with her and all of them going through the same as her that worried her. She would get through it, but what about them? She couldn’t be for sure. She especially worried about Yume, and the bug boy, Daimen, as long as he didn’t get lost, probably had a chance, but it was hard to say.
Soon everyone was blindfolded and placed on a plane, she could smell the asphalt and oil like smell, a freighter of some kind? Then she heard their teacher speaking. They were fixed to be basically dropped off somewhere and are told to survive. Damn Was her thought to that. She felt a hand move quickly along her backside and a whisper in her ear. ”I’ll take that.” Her free hand moved to her rum and she felt where her survival bag was, gone. b*****d snatched it before she could even react. ”Hey what the!” She got cut off as Hades began to speak again. He said something about being basically dropped without a parachute and to use their “Aura Shields”. Why would we ne- She couldn’t finish the thought she was now free falling well more like gripping at air.
She ripped the blindfold off holding it in her hand tightly, the wind burning her eyes as she fell from a height she could only guess at this point. A black blob was forming below and getting closer, she had righted herself, controlling her speed as she fell. Her eyes narrowed to slits as the air stung her eye’s causing tears to form at the edges of her eyes. Her aura started to form coalescing around her skin like a green little film.
She was closer to the ground now, the smell of earth and dew hitting her nose. That was the smell of a forest for sure. Now within eyesight she aimed for the closest tree and caught the first branch her hand could grab. With a violent swing that broke the branch and caused her to momentum propel herself into the top of the next, she grabbed another branch attempting to halt herself once more but not before falling another story clipping a few branches on the way down. She grunted. ”Ooof” as she could feel a bruise on her arm and side forming. However she was now holding onto a branch dangling her moment stopped. She breathed a sigh of relief pulling herself up on top of the branch and resting against her trunk her breath ragged. That had been the most thrilling thing she had ever done. All she could think of is doing it again. And again… Oh, she would definitely be thanking Hades.
She rubbed her eye the vision blurry. She had to take in what she could even in the dim moonlight. She could hear people yelling across the field. There were many ways to pass, either beat people up, steal their flare or find 3key cards. That brought her to hindsight thinking more clearly after her thrilling fall. ”Come on Teal, get it together. You’ve survived in the forest for years. You can do this.” She let out a puff of air. She felt lonely, and cold, it had been so long since she had been without her friends. It was strange, she slapped her face. ”Come on, get it together. Okay, first step. Damage accession…” She started out loud then went to internal monolog. I have a torn shoulder muscle from that first branch grab, and maybe a fractured rib. She touched it gently. It wasn’t out of place, that was good but she still twinged from the pain. Definitely fractured. Okay, I guess I have no choice… Teal went to work balancing on the branch she pulled her boots off and pulled the laces. It would be a lot easier if she had her knife, but she had her hands and her feet.
Her feet extended outward, their long finger like toes clenching into fists and relaxing as they dangled over the edge. She didn’t waste time though as she ripped a nearby branch with her toes and brought it up to her the other extended outward gripped it and peeled the shrubbage off of it cleanly while her hand easily ripped the soles of her shoes away from the lining. She stretched the material out against the branch she sat in and snapped the branch in two placing one on the side of the material she used the sole as padding at the center and sticks at the sides for brace tightening knots with the laces to hold everything together. This made a sling for her arm the second one she set to working on and fashioned against her bruised rib wincing as she did so. That should take care of that. I ‘ll have to favor my left side, right fracture rib and torn shoulder muscle isn’t ever a good start… Okay, next survey, I can’t see far, but let's give it a go. Gingerly Teal began to move through the forest back to the tree she originally grabbed but broke the branch off of. It was taller than the rest. Easily she climbed up to the top not using her right arm, not needing it as her feet easily kept her secured to the tree and her finger tips easily pulled her up. Her muscle would need some time to rest. Making it to the top she began to scan the area messaging the muscle trying to relax it back into place.
They had indeed fallen into a forest. She could make out in the dim light what seemed to be dim glows of possible villages in the dark distance she could hear a river to the right of her and it was large with possibly multiple channels she couldn’t be sure. Good running water, that's a plus, to the river then. If anything I might be able to get a better look at the field we are playing in. She thought as she moved perfectly through the trees barely making a sound besides the rustle of what one might think to be a wild animal in the trees above her body gaining speed as between her feet and free hand she moved through branch after branch. She would arrive at the river and rest in a tree full of leaves protecting concealing herself high within. That's when she felt it, her back in her underwear… A small plastic object was poking her. She fished it out with her tail and turning it over in the moonlight her eyes widened. ”Oh That son of a… She stopped mid sentence. When did he do that? The bag, that's when, had to have been.
