▬ She doesn't remember much before the age of two, other than loud sounds, screams, and bright light. (When Sinn had destroyed and slaughtered the Dragon Clan, leaving only the young children alive). ▬ It was also when she was 3 years old, wandering the desert with her sister alone, (Due to the terror and confusion, she doesn't remember the woman and older son that helped the toddler and baby survive) that they were found and taken in by the Yowlumne tribe. Being adopted in to the Sandford Clan, while their fellow tribesman was taken in by the Nuntis Clan. She was not oblivious as she would notice one or two tribespeople would be wary of the the trio. But even that would fade over time. ▬ She was about 4 years old, she remembered a farewell celebration/saying goodbye to a couple from the Rosenburg Clan (Ylva's aunt Agnes Tove Rosenburg and uncle Henry Inge Rosenburg). Who left the for their own explorations (which was not too common, she would learn as she got older as they were a nomadic peoples). ▬ While growing up, she'd always been a protective older sister to Rosa, keeping her safe since they were little. Even though they were treated as one of the tribespeople, she realized that Rosa was always more of a Gentle nature than herself. With Rosa being weaker/less likely to engage in the fighting aspect, Cyn helped her in training while Rosa helped her with the more mental fighting and educations of the Tribe. ▬ Due to her overprotective nature of her sister, as they got older, she would spend much time with Rosa and Svafnir, whom she had grown to like. As they would begin training, she would gain a friendly rivalry with the boy. But if and when push came to shove, she would stand alongside her fellow warrior. ▬ As a Sandford clanswoman, she was taught at a young age that she would not just be a warrior but, also guard to the alphas someday. Her heroes were not just Agmundr and her tribe mother but also the one that was dubbed their greatest huntress, Groa Audhild Rosenburg (then 19 summers old) and the tales she brought back from her hunts when not at home with her pup/child that was but 1 spring-old (1 year-old) when her and Rosa became part of the tribe. ▬ Like many of the tribespeople, when she was 6 years old, she had begun designing a weapon of her own; she did not always like fancy ones, so instead she opted for a simple yet functional design; the Axe. This idea, she then gave to their Tribal blacksmith to create. And as she got older, she focused her skills with different melee weapons, but would always be more fond of weaponless combat. ▬ As the young woman grew up, she showed potential among the Sandford children to go up and try for the Coming of Age trial at the age of 16. As one might imagine, she was bolstered with confidence and pride, but she would not succeed her first time, discovering her semblance in a panic and almost losing her arm in the process. ▬ In order to heal completely and be ready, Peni would have to wait for another year to try again. She did not succeed her second time with those she went with. ▬ Half a year before she turned 19, she fondly remembers venturing to an oasis with her rival/friend and her younger sister as well as a few others. As usual, the Nuntis boy got under her skin, making her jump to the challenge presented. Unbeknownst at the time that her sister's excitement would form her semblance. Before she could be blown away, Cyn had taken cover behind a palm tree while her Svafnir had been blasted back. It was a flashy and amusing discovery indeed. ▬ When she turned 19, despite not passing her Coming of Age trial, she pleaded and reasoned with the Elders to allow her to accompany their greatest huntress and her mate on their hunt (along with Nanna Sandford, Einar Sandford, and Sigrun Maylis) as part of their trials. That night of the new moon when the desert was plunged into darkness, grave tragedy would strike them as they were ambushed by a cyclone (group) of Death Stalkers. In protecting them, the Rosenburgs were lost, forcing Maylis to get the young ones (after much protests from the young ones) away and back to the caves. ▬ Despite the chaos, Sigrun was able to use his "glass wall" semblance while Nanna carried the bodies of their fallen with her levitation semblance to the sand cart/sleigh they came in to escape. The shame of such events would never leave her, and she was glad she convinced her sister to stay behind. ▬ The return that night was a bitter loss for the Yowlumne, and a guilt she took personally upon herself, even if others tried to tell her this was not her fault; she would always feel it was. To make amends, she would appeal to the Alphas to give her a task she must complete. While the Alphas made their decision, Ylva would be taken to the harbor city to start her journey to Vale. ▬ After a week with Ylva being gone, the Alphas had made their decision, that she was to follow and keep an eye on (and occasionally protect) the Rosenburg youth that would someday be one of their Elders (it appeared with Svafnir would be going as well for reasons not known to her). As was predictable, Rosa would follow Peninnah on her journey, which would lead to them going and enrolling in Vale's Beacon Academy.

█BACKGROUND
▬ She doesn't remember much before the age of two, other than loud sounds, screams, and bright light. (When Sinn had destroyed and slaughtered the Dragon Clan, leaving only the young children alive). ▬ It was also when she was 3 years old, wandering the desert with her sister alone, (Due to the terror and confusion, she doesn't remember the woman and older son that helped the toddler and baby survive) that they were found and taken in by the Yowlumne tribe. Being adopted in to the Sandford Clan, while their fellow tribesman was taken in by the Nuntis Clan. She was not oblivious as she would notice one or two tribespeople would be wary of the the trio. But even that would fade over time. ▬ She was about 4 years old, she remembered a farewell celebration/saying goodbye to a couple from the Rosenburg Clan (Ylva's aunt Agnes Tove Rosenburg and uncle Henry Inge Rosenburg). Who left the for their own explorations (which was not too common, she would learn as she got older as they were a nomadic peoples). ▬ While growing up, she'd always been a protective older sister to Rosa, keeping her safe since they were little. Even though they were treated as one of the tribespeople, she realized that Rosa was always more of a Gentle nature than herself. With Rosa being weaker/less likely to engage in the fighting aspect, Cyn helped her in training while Rosa helped her with the more mental fighting and educations of the Tribe. ▬ Due to her overprotective nature of her sister, as they got older, she would spend much time with Rosa and Svafnir, whom she had grown to like. As they would begin training, she would gain a friendly rivalry with the boy. But if and when push came to shove, she would stand alongside her fellow warrior. ▬ As a Sandford clanswoman, she was taught at a young age that she would not just be a warrior but, also guard to the alphas someday. Her heroes were not just Agmundr and her tribe mother but also the one that was dubbed their greatest huntress, Groa Audhild Rosenburg (then 19 summers old) and the tales she brought back from her hunts when not at home with her pup/child that was but 1 spring-old (1 year-old) when her and Rosa became part of the tribe. ▬ Like many of the tribespeople, when she was 6 years old, she had begun designing a weapon of her own; she did not always like fancy ones, so instead she opted for a simple yet functional design; the Axe. This idea, she then gave to their Tribal blacksmith to create. And as she got older, she focused her skills with different melee weapons, but would always be more fond of weaponless combat. ▬ As the young woman grew up, she showed potential among the Sandford children to go up and try for the Coming of Age trial at the age of 16. As one might imagine, she was bolstered with confidence and pride, but she would not succeed her first time, discovering her semblance in a panic and almost losing her arm in the process. ▬ In order to heal completely and be ready, Peni would have to wait for another year to try again. She did not succeed her second time with those she went with. ▬ Half a year before she turned 19, she fondly remembers venturing to an oasis with her rival/friend and her younger sister as well as a few others. As usual, the Nuntis boy got under her skin, making her jump to the challenge presented. Unbeknownst at the time that her sister's excitement would form her semblance. Before she could be blown away, Cyn had taken cover behind a palm tree while her Svafnir had been blasted back. It was a flashy and amusing discovery indeed. ▬ When she turned 19, despite not passing her Coming of Age trial, she pleaded and reasoned with the Elders to allow her to accompany their greatest huntress and her mate on their hunt (along with Nanna Sandford, Einar Sandford, and Sigrun Maylis) as part of their trials. That night of the new moon when the desert was plunged into darkness, grave tragedy would strike them as they were ambushed by a cyclone (group) of Death Stalkers. In protecting them, the Rosenburgs were lost, forcing Maylis to get the young ones (after much protests from the young ones) away and back to the caves. ▬ Despite the chaos, Sigrun was able to use his "glass wall" semblance while Nanna carried the bodies of their fallen with her levitation semblance to the sand cart/sleigh they came in to escape. The shame of such events would never leave her, and she was glad she convinced her sister to stay behind. ▬ The return that night was a bitter loss for the Yowlumne, and a guilt she took personally upon herself, even if others tried to tell her this was not her fault; she would always feel it was. To make amends, she would appeal to the Alphas to give her a task she must complete. While the Alphas made their decision, Ylva would be taken to the harbor city to start her journey to Vale. ▬ After a week with Ylva being gone, the Alphas had made their decision, that she was to follow and keep an eye on (and occasionally protect) the Rosenburg youth that would someday be one of their Elders (it appeared with Svafnir would be going as well for reasons not known to her). As was predictable, Rosa would follow Peninnah on her journey, which would lead to them going and enrolling in Vale's Beacon Academy. Staying behind just a while longer to help them. It would be the first time the sisters had every really separated and it was hard on Peninnah most to be without her little sister. During one of her nights at the farm, she would awaken to almost unbearable burning and itching as it felt like her skin at her thighs had been shredding...scales had formed. In shock, she had a desire to tell her sister...Instead keeping it to herself until next they met. She would get her first inkling that she and her sister were in fact...not human at all. ▬ Upon arriving at the school during what they called a Festival, Peninnah found fate in signing up for a little "water battle". Suffice to say, she would meet a very influential and knightly young man who would turn out to be one of her future teammates (and someone to be respected), as well as a couple other students. Though she also had the displeasure of meeting a teacher or two (though she was not impressed with them). ▬ The next couple days during the festival, she would meet up with her little sister, enjoyed the local food and the beach (a rare sight compared to their desert home). It was then she got the idea to have her sister research, but with not much success on lizards/reptilian peoples of Vacuo. ▬ Becoming a part of Team Hurricane, she's felt a bond and kinship, despite (or maybe because) of the wrestling. If school had taught her anything so far...it's that despite their differences, they could work together (herself, Alois, Thyra, and Pyrrhus) as a team. Being separated from her sister and her cousins is still uncomfortable, and she's still learning...but, she's determined to continue with her promise (to Groa and to Ylva). And whether she's aware of it or not...there are still greater changes to yet to come.
