I never know how to start these things. To write your most personal thoughts and interactions, for one to find at a later date...doesn't sound very practical. However, my sister insisted, if only for school memories, and I agreed to do it. For the one who made read this, my name is RuiZhi Tai, and I am currently attending the reknowned school of ShinKami. My goal is to enter under the Science & Technology path, with Magic to follow. I will say no further details.

It took a few days to figure out the lay out of this school; it seems hazardous at first glance, but I see the fine tuning that went into this amazing school. It is lead by the brilliant Headmaster Norman Prinwaltz, who has been so kind as to allow the likes of my brother and I into her bosom. I saw the Headmaster at the introduction ceremony, but I have yet to meet him; I sorely would like to, if not simply to thank him for being a part of the school and having us as students.

I met many people at this ceremony. The first was a wonderful remarkable (is there a word to do him justice?) man named Herei Fang; he is a teacher, I am certain, although he never said so outright. In fact, his words danced like the wind, and I don't really know what he said, only that I still feel like I'm charmed by the thought of him. He inadvertantly (or was it?) introduced me to Doctor Lorioth Manneth and the enigmatic Professor Javelin Lovinghal. I think the shy Doctor will be one of my teachers, but I don't know about Professor Lovinghal. The Doctor was very...uncertain, I feel, about his presence there. Very shy and withdrawn. But she - Big Sister - was everything he was not. And I think that's why they were together.

...there's a Professor here named Heru Dante Araquenosse. I think he has set me more firmly in my path to follow Doctor Kenth's footsteps, if not surpass them. I'm certain Professor Araquenosse is a magic user, but there's a grace about him that suggests that is not his only source of power. I will speak with him soon...maybe tonight. He is a man of great wisdom and patience, both virtues I deeply admire. I hope to see more of him. Oh, he's also an elf.

I have not yet met any of the students. This will change. Time to set up an e-mail account...I'll try to keep this updated.

It's funny how doing something so simple can become so complex! I quick run to the mall turned into something completely different, and I'm still not sure what to think of it.

After searching around for a gift for Mr. Herei and Heru Araquenosse, I stopped to get some food at the food court (which was awful, but that's not important). There was a boy there, and seeing as we're all students, I figured I could try to talk to him. Sister, you'd be proud. He seemed somewhat surprised to see someone talking to him, and proceeded to make fun of the women who worked the food court. I assure you, they are nothing short of frightening, like hungry dogs after a piece of meat. That's what I felt like. The boy's name is Rylenn McGreggors; he's at least four years older than me, but I didn't ask specifically. Very nice and interesting young man.

Anyway. The strangest thing happened. To keep the girls at bay, he pretended like we were boyfriends! It was a little awkward but he was really just trying to help. I played along, but I was so scared I think I pushed him too hard at one point and he fell in the fountain. I dont think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. Our game was found out and the girls seemed disappointed...so did he, really. He wanted *lots of scribbling* a thank you and I told him that'd have to wait...in a way I'm not going to go into detail. Goodness forbid Weiyuan ever found this!

We went back to his dorm, but... ... ... ... no, I wont recount what he told me here. It's his business to share his life, and I wont record it. Suffice to say he trusts me, and I don't hold it against him. I think I'll prepare the salve that mother used to for the wives...yes, I'll do that.

I don't need to write down what happened to remember it. He is a good friend and I like him very much. I hope I can help him, and show him how remarkable he is.

It was a blunder. A horrible mess. And yet...it was progress.

That is, I stayed in the room without bolting.

Wei was being...strange. Really strange. Like, affectionate strange. Weiyuan Leung is not affectionate. He is logical, rational, and is not ruled by his emotions. What happened here is still beyond my grasp, but I think the part of him I saw today was the part of him that has been repressed from his father's death.

Please forgive me, should you ever find this, Weiyuan.

For the life of me, he would not let me get dressed without brushing and braiding my hair. It's such a favorite passed time of ours, but it was just so fresh still, I politely refused. Then he...HE TACKLED ME. ONTO THE BED. I can feel the shock and puzzlement even now as I write this. I almost felt like a child again. And then Rylenn walked in.

I couldn't move fast enough to get covered. That knocked my poor brother off the bed, which yanked my hair in turn (still tender). Weiyuan, in another strange fit of love, pulled Rylenn and I onto him and hugged us. I love him like my own blood, but my skin was going to crawl off. Part of me felt that peaceful warmth of being young, but the other, the part that was still raw, was screaming. I left...I had to. But I saw Rylenn's face. I'll see it in my dreams tonight. Weiyuan insisted on a quick braid. He wants the life we had, but he wants so badly to move forward in his life...where do I stand? I have to figure that out. Everything is moving so fast. I can't let it leave me behind.

I think I'm okay now. If I see Rylenn again, I will embrace him, and tell him so.
