RuiZhi stopped what he was doing, pencil halted in mid-stroke. He carefully gathered his notes and turned off the program before turning to face Rylenn, extending a hand to grab the older boy's own. "Come on," he said, giving no room to protest, "lets' go talk. You have a lot on your mind." He didn't like what Rylenn had just said. It unsettled him, that the red-head would contact his father at all after what the horrible man had done to him. RuiZhi would rather spend the rest of his class period helping Rylenn focus and feel better than try to force the subject on himself and the clearly troubled boy.

Rylenn sighed. "No.. let's finish.. then we can talk. M'okay for now.. really....." He smiled gently. "We'll talk as much as you want when we're done and after your lesson."
He turned the program back on for RuiZhi and smiled gently. "I'll be okay. I promise." He went back to his own studies, switching to something else.. Slavic language. He began taking noses again, diving into it and forgetting about his father.

RuiZhi sighed deeply. "And you think I'm the stubborn one?" He frowned, but allowed the other to turn his computer back on, watching as the red-head tried to dive back into his own studies. RuiZhi didn't think he'd be able to be as absorbed by it as he was before, not with the thought of Rylenn's father in the forefront of his mind. Even so, he sat back down, starting up the program and taking halfhearted notes while watching Rylenn out of the corner of his eye.

Rylenn laughed and poked him. "Quit worrying.." He hugged RuiZhi. "I'm learning to be stubborn." He began writing notes and sighed. "I think I've gotten it.... I can compare the base asianic language with Slavic..." He nodded and smiled and stretched. "How does it go with you?"

The boy snorted. "I'm mostly just writing what I see. Not really paying attention right now." RuiZhi frowned a little more, looking at Rylenn meaningfully before returning the hug. He sighed before answering the question. "Latin and biblical writings seem to be very tied together even though they're very different, like English and elven. It's not all working for me yet, but it's getting there." The boy was quiet for a moment, his mind actually turning over the barrier of speech rather than his worry.

He nodded and laid his head down. "Then write in Chinese.. think in it... it might be easier for you.." He began to write his essay on the languages, humming.

RuiZhi decided he'd come back for the other languages and complete his essay at a later date. There was still more he wanted to study, and doing it all in one shot wasn't going to work. He carefully turned off the program again, putting his notes in order. "I can't do that," he said with a smile, "it would be rude to think all the teachers can read my language when I can read theirs just as well." The boy mulled over the finer points of what he'd learned today, tying up his ideas and hypothesis as he waited for Rylenn.

Rylenn grabbed his stuff and ushered RuiZhi out. "Ready when you are.." He grinned and ushered RuiZhi out. "You're an interesting fellow. I meant.. for your notes..."

Wei plopped down in his seat. Studying always took him to another world. Of course he realized how dorky that made him, but he did follow the typical Asian stereotype rather well. The male booted up the computer, starting in the language studies immediately.
An hour or so later he paused in his note taking, all of it in Chinese, and stood. His mind couldn't focus he needed to...do something. Right now he was usually...well not in the classrooms to say the least. The brunette sighed, laying his materials on the seat. The boy shed his sweater and began to practice his basic stances. The classroom was silent...perfect to just...lose himself.

Farlest supposed that it was time that he stopped playing around and finally got into his studies. He had been the 'newbie' long enough, and it was high time that he acted like a serious student...it was, after all, a privilege just to be here.
Cautiously opening the door...he froze with it only a few inches open, and peered into the room. He'd seen Wei...and now he couldn't help but watch the other boy. How terribly fascinating... He didn't know why the other was currently practicing like that in the classroom, but...uhm...well...interesting.
The dark-haired teen wondered if the other would notice him, and considered clearing his throat or making some other little noise to catch the other boy's attention, but decided against it...as Wei might be irritated if he interrupted.

Wei paused, turning towards the door. He had years experience of knowing when people were watching and just what those gazes meant. The brunette turned fully towards the door, bowing slightly before returning back to his studies.
He glanced back over, trying to remember why the male seemed familiar. Oh right...at that time. He was one of the boys who had gotten lost in the forest. Already, Far had lost some points with Wei, but not much. He was in a better mood after going through his practices.

Far opened the door the rest of the way, inclining his head respectfully to the other, and scooting on into the classroom, and moving to take a seat. Pausing halfway to a chair, he hesitated, eyeing the other boy. "D'you do that often?" A soft inquiry, as the emerald-eyed boy was terribly curious, and not at all afraid to ask questions.
Besides that, Wei was interesting. The slender, dark-haired teen remembered seeing him from before, yes, but he hadn't really gotten to talk to him, he'd hung out with another boy the majority of the time, as Far recalled.

Wei glance returned to his screen as the other entered. When the other spoke, he didn't even pause in his note taking or his reading movements as fluent as ever. "Not in here. Usually in the mornings I do. Shirtless he meantally added. He knew that some of the mall girls had learned to get up early just so that they could watch him, though he never really spoke to them.
He leaned back in his chair and looked to the other, a blank expression on his face. The other had nice features, long hair, he could tell that the other had asian in him. Caucasian as well. Like Wei did himself. He pondered to which part of Asia his parent hailed from. He hadn't met a halfie before. Not in his world, no never.

"So..." He began carefully, "I'm guessing you're fairly proficient. Which martial art do you study?" Oh yes, the wave of questions had only just begun. Wei had immediately settled himself on Far's mental list as 'interesting'...close to Ka and Nathaniel...the quieter sorts, harder to talk to and something of a challenge, but he was certainly going to try.
Yes, Farlest was an odd little hybrid, and he looked it, with jet-black hair that was perfectly straight, and quite easily did whatever it was he wanted it to do, his skin the not-quite-pale that portrayed his mixed heritage, and then the wide, green, and unflinchingly American eyes. He could never pass for just one race, not to those who knew anything about it.

Wei quickly finished where he was, sensing this was going to become a long drawn out sort of conversation. Gods latin could get annoying, and it was hard for non-living sorts to be annoying. Especially dead non-living things.
The male quickly tucked his hair behind his ears, going through which styles he had had at least the basics in. And really...he had the basics for most. Hmmm, but his specialties...."I've indulged on the very basics of quite a few...but I suppose I'm most experienced with Tai Chi and Kung Fu." Those were the ones he had gone to actual lessons for. The other styles he had learned from friends of his father's, few short lessons to learn only the basics. He had wanted to learn but he wasn't at all dedicated to just one style.
They said that it was the American in him.
