Stirling, Squire of Lysithea
Safe

Stirling couldn’t really figure out why anyone would need a baseball bat to investigate something…but she wanted one…it would feel good to just be able to swing it around…she could cover her tracks if that were the case…keep her…investigations...practical…or. Or whatever.

She didn’t, and she was quite proud of herself for not doing that, and instead kept her hand curled around Derings. She had brought her friend along and goodness gracious she was going to stick with him. And if this turned ugly…well…

As the Moon Page came up to say hello, Stirling grinned and waved slightly at her. “I’m Stirling, Squire of Lysithea! It’s nice to meet you, Cynthus! Her eyes glanced to the dark clad Page and she hesitated for a moment but continued to smile. “...Spiky…croissants…I don’t know if I should be mad at you or laugh because now I won’t be able to unsee it, but it’s nice to meet you too, Reims.”

Spiky croissants…they…

…They kind of were, weren’t they? Oh, and a chocolate croissant sounded really good right now and…”Oh! Effie!” She brightened again, glad that she no longer had to think about her symbols as bread but.

“I didn’t know you’d be here too! That’s awesome, and this is my friend and new…mentee?” She thought that might be a word, ah well. “Dering, Page of Lysithea, and he’s great! I think…I mean do you guys all want to stick together? Cynthus you mentioned the safe? Sounds good to me.”

Super Sailor Fang, Senshi of Chrysocyon
Action: going to the offices

Fang felt honored to have been invited onto this big mission. He hated that so far he felt as though he had only acted like an Agent himself, prowling around at night with no real idea of what he was doing, just trying to save people. Viciously. Judiciously. It felt wrong, but he didn't know any other way, and ultimately, civilians were saved.

This, though.

This made his blood sing. He could be useful. Make his Pack proud of him. He could help bring this place down.

The moment that Ida, the only person who he knew here, said she was going to the office, he leapt up after her. It would be easier to be by someone who knew how to interpret the strange way he spoke more intimately, to be by a friend, even with an unknown also choosing to be by her.

"With Ida," he said, grinning at her, cute little fangs on display. His wisp showed up to burble a greeting at someone he considered a friend, but obediently went away when he shooed it.

Dering, Page of Lysithea
Choice: Safe

Reims seemed fun. A little overenthusiastic, but it was disarming in a way. Dering couldn’t help but laugh softly at his antics. He was nervous, and Stirling had done wonders to calm him already but it was still surprising to be surrounded by so many people doing something so big.

He wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Stirling, and he was so grateful that she was willing to take him down this–ideally–quieter route. He was pretty sure she had a penchant for destruction, and he’d seen the way she eyed those baseball bats, but he couldn’t have ever done anything so dangerous. Well, not now. Here, at least he thought he might be useful.

Even if they were breaking into a bank and going to the safe.

Naturally, he had his own worries, and when Cynthus voiced concern at the team before them he could lon glance expectantly between the others hoping for an answer. He was new to this and was pretty sure his inexperience showed, so he tried to make up for it by being supportive and friendly.

He didn’t think his violin bow could shoot lightning or break things, but he glanced at it thoughtfully as he considered Reims’ words. And Stirling had friends here! So maybe he could make some friends too. If he could just remember how to talk. Thankfully, she’d given his introduction, so he had a few seconds to get over how overwhelming all of these energy signatures were.

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
Choice: Safe

“It’s nice to meet you all,” Amarynthos said pleasantly, visibly excited but not letting it get to his head. Yet. He could still see Sessrumnir and Alastor and he didn’t want them to worry so he smiled and waved when he saw Ephesus do the same.

“And it’s good to see you, Stirling! Okay, so–Reims,” he nodded to electric heart letter opener, “Cynthus,” another Moon Knight! He didn’t know her, but he wanted to hear all about her Wonder. “Dering.” Who didn’t look very daring holding onto Stirling’s hand so tightly, but that was okay.

“I’m Amarynthos.” If this went well, he wanted to swap information with them. He liked going out on patrols with the older Knights and Senshi, it never felt awkward, but he suddenly felt like he had twice his usual energy. Maybe it was just the energy in the air or the fact that they were allowed to do something. He hadn’t gone for a baseball bat no matter how tempting it was; he had this big staff already and didn’t want to carry too much around.

“I’m sure the tech team disabled everything. There’s a lot of really clever people around.” He hadn’t seen Soleiyu amongst them, but there were enough people here that he was sure the job had gotten done. And, if there was something wrong, he was sure they could handle it. “Worst case scenario, we can teleport out of here. I mean, if we get stuck, we don’t have to panic.”

He didn’t tell them that if anything went wrong, he was sure that Alastor and Sessrumnir would show up and bust down any barriers with their bare hands, but he was sure that was also an option.

“A lot of people are going to the offices so I think heading to the safe is a good idea. We can stick together and look out for each other?”

Alastor, Eternal Senshi of Despair
Going to the Offices

There were an assortment of people going to the offices, and Alastor thought that was probably a good idea. There was more to scout out there, and it might have been more dangerous if that’s where they were keeping the information. A safe seemed–well, safe.

He was almost relieved to hear that their boys were interested in heading down there. Did he want to split up from the boys? No. But they’d promised Cybele that they’d do their best, and if that meant diverting their task force, he could stomach it. For now.

Besides, the boys seemed to have acquired a small group and seemed comfortable enough. Stirling was there, he recognized her. Not the others, but he knew that they had already built up some camaraderie and could look after each other.

He caught Atticus’ smile and wave and returned it with one of his own, and only when he saw him talking with his group did he turn back to Sessrumnir. “They’ll be okay. They know to call us if they feel like something’s not right. Besides, you and I can carry plenty more. I’m not interested in robbing a bank, but if there’s information in any of those offices that we need to carry out, we’ll make quick work of it.”

Yomi-no-kuni, Squire of Saturn
Action: Going to the office

Yomi was always happy to have a chance to strike a blow against the Negaverse. He wasn't surprised to learn that they behind this bank it seemed like something they would do. He appreciated the offer of the bat but declined as he felt it was unnecessary for himself since his weapon already basically served all the functions a bat would so it would just be another thing to carry around.

When his group split up to invistigate he decided to go with those who were headed towards the office.

Promethei, Reims, Cynthus, Ephesus, Stirling, Dering, and Amarynthos chose to go to the safe.

The lobby was eerily empty, and that eeriness was only added to as various devices around the room flickered under the effects of the disruption devices. A staticky voice came through one of the phones, a recording that the Technology team was working on.

”It’s impressive that we have the technology to do something like this.” It was still hard to make out details in the tones of the voices, but it seemed to be another person replying, ”Yes, but it took a lot of energy for something we’ll hopefully never have to use. Could have just put that effort into the bank itself, instead.”

Something to keep an eye out, for.

The safe was about what they would expect. It was dark metal, with a heavy door and one of those wheels to open it. There was also a keypad to the side. The devices seemed to have impacted this, as well, but it was not completely turned off. Instead, the screen was flickering and staticky.

A small, strange Chaos aura could be barely made out coming through the door.

Did they try to open the door through force? or try to fiddle with the keypad?

---

Ida, Anakeion, Sessrumnir, Yvoire, Drakonia, Illyria, Tortuga, Tjilaki, Stromboli, Abzu, Fang, Alastor,
and Yomi-no-Kuni chose to go to the offices.

The group heading up the stairs also heard the message that the Technology team had uncovered.

”It’s impressive that we have the technology to do something like this.” It was still hard to make out details in the tones of the voices, but it seemed to be another person replying, ”Yes, but it took a lot of energy for something we’ll hopefully never have to use. Could have just put that effort into the bank itself, instead.”

As they made their way up the stairs, a Chaos aura flared to life above them. It was a Captain.

The upstairs office area was split into two main rooms, and now that they were up here, they could see that fancier, more executive looking offices, all split up by glass walls, were to the left. To the right was a room split up into smaller cubicles, and this was where the aura was coming from.

Did they go to the left to try to avoid the aura? Or did they go towards it, to the right?

Sailor Mira, Eternal Sailor of Sugar
Choice: right.

Mira had been running a little late to the party, not on purpose, but there was a small fire in the bakery. Small fires meant everyone freaked out and she had to clean up. She arrived just as people headed in different directions. She quickly ducked into the offices.

That was when she heard voices. Now who were the voices? She had no idea, but as she looked around the stairs she realized it was time to make another choice. There was an aura ahead of them. She had to decide if she should investigate the aura or ignore it. She was scared but curiosity made her take a few steps forward towards the aura. In her soul she believed it was wiser to face the danger head on rather than wait.

Anakeion Squire of Castor

Anakeion knew she froze under pressure a lot. It was not one of her finer qualities. Not that she had a lot of those, either, but anyway that was off topic --

The point! The point was that, given as she was not blessed with convincing improv (quips didn't count.), and her uniform looked like normal human attire in no realm of the world she knew of, Anakeion went to the left.

Eternal Ida
Action: Greeting Fang and Heading to the Right, towards the energy signature

Ida nodded as Illyria voiced her choice, giving the Mauvian scratches under her chin. She was glad Illy was going to stay with her... she always felt comforted by the cat's presence. Things were better now than they had been, of course, but they'd fallen into a routine and that routine had become a source of stability and support.

"I think your skills will be more useful than mine in this case, so its good you're here." She said softly.

A familiar face approached the pair and Ida had a quick and ready smile for the deep space senshi. It was nice to see someone else that she knew, and the way he smiled at her had her coloring a little, pleased to see someone so happy to see her in return.

"Fang! I'm glad you're here. Fang, this is my cat, Illyria. Illy, this is my friend, Fang. He is one of the new senshi from other planets, like Selinur." She said, introducing the two.

When everyone was ready, she moved with the group, her eyes always moving, scanning the interior as they passed through her. Her senses stretched wide, and she caught the signature as it flared to live.

"Illy... dampen us please. I can feel a Captain... if they haven't felt us yet, I don't want them to. If they have... maybe we can sneak up on them." Of course... Illyria wasn't going to be able to cover all of them, that was a long shot. But maybe it would do something?

"I think we should go take care of whoever that is." She said quietly to Fang and whoever was close enough to hear her. "I don't think we want them setting off any kind of alarm when they find out we're here..."

Reims, Page of Ganymede
Choice: Fiddle with the keypad

Reims didn’t understand the look Cynthus gave him, nor did he understand why Stirling said she wasn’t sure if she should be mad. Why would she be mad? That’s what they looked like, and no one gave him any explanation as to what they were supposed to be. Just like his weird heart on a lightning bolt. Cynthus was easy. Obviously a moon, but it could have been that he knew where her Wonder was. For all he knew, it could have been a pancake someone bit.

Maybe he was just hungry.

He let out a huff of a breath and glanced over at the stronger feeling knights that approached them, and straightened up some. Oh. Oh. So this Stirling Squire knew them.

Reims squinted at the one that Stirling called Effie, not sure what to think of their appearance. Maybe they were just really flat chested.

“Who’s going to panic?” Reims scoffed at Amarynthos’ reassurance, clearly not thinking it was necessary. “This is nothing. I mean, I can definitely break into a safe in probably five minutes, but if the tech team already disabled everything then there’s no point in me showing off. I wouldn’t want to upset anyone, anyway,” he shrugged, clearly confident in his claim.

Except the safe door wasn’t open, and there was some strange, gross energy coming from inside.

Reims froze, but then let out a bark of a laugh and shrugged. “Guess the tech team didn’t do as good of a job as they were supposed to. Let me see how much they messed this up. It might take even longer if they really messed it up!”

Yeah, that should buy him more time to poke at the keypad with his letter opener. He was clearly not trying to get fingerprints on it.

"Let the guy with the bat open the door," Reims suggested nonchalantly, noticing that another Page (Promethei) was at the safe with them.

Tjilaki, Super Senshi of Icebergs
Action: going left

Tjilaki picked up a bat and went upstairs to the office with the others. She was not sure why she picked the office but she stayed behind everyone. Hopefully, if something jumps out the people in the front could handle it.

She followed behind and listen to the technology team. She wasn't inept with teleology so that was why she didn't pick to go with them.

She wasn't paying attention to where she was going and almost bumped into someone. The group at stopped. She froze. She then realized what the problem was it was a chaos aura ahead coming from the right. She didn't like how to the right there was a room split up into smaller cubicles.

That was a whole nope for her. She was about to make her way to the right and stopped. What if it was a trap? What if the real danger was to the right and they just wanted to split everyone up? She looked around seeing if others would be taking the right too.

Squire Tortuga of Jupiter is Going Left

Tortuga found the message pretty damn suspicious. What exactly had the negaverse done? And how bad was it that they hoped to ‘never have to use’ it? A rather large contingent of the investigation team had made their way upwards, this would make it easier to sweep the space and find anything that could be useful. Once he reached the top of the stairs purple eyes scanned their environment, noting that there were two distinct spaces. One a cubicle farm and the other where the managers likely sat. Both possible informational gold minds but the flare of a Captain's aura coming from the cubicle had the Squire swear under his breath.

“Someone let the others know we have company, just one so far but where there's one there are more,” the redhead quietly informed one of his physically closest companions, ((Whoever wants to be the one can ^.^)). The negaverse were like that. Roaches really or would that be termites. Eating away at a building undetected until the building was no longer inhabitable? Yeah that ‘sounded’ more accurate to Tortuga as he waited for his message to be relayed. Given the choice he would rather complete their mission but he also knew they couldn’t leave the Captain alone, someone would have to subdue them.

Considering their group was made up of quite a few strong individuals it might be more beneficial to head away from the captain. Gather more intel while the officer was being dealt with. And yet he still wasn’t entirely sure but when two of their stronger members he knew for sure that it was better to go for the intel rather then the fight that was brewing so with one final glance to the cubicle farm he headed to the left towards the more posh offices. They needed proof and fast.

Ephesus, Knight of the Moon
Choice: Safe - Fiddle with the keypad

Ephesus was glad they all decided to stick together, but he didn’t like how empty and quiet everything was. There were disruption devices and a creepy voice that must have been from the other team.

He wasn’t sure how much Reims would actually be able to manage, but Ephesus certainly wasn’t strong enough to try and open the door.

“Be careful,” he said quietly with concern when Reims started poking at the keypad with his letter opener. He didn’t want it to short circuit or anything like that. That would be horrible if anyone got hurt. Oh, but he would just do what he could to heal them.

But he didn’t want that to happen in the first place. He was better off being useless.

He already didn’t like being away from his dads, but he knew they would be okay if they stuck together. Besides, there was an adult (Promethei) nearby who could help them if they needed it! Or at least he hoped so.

Yvoire, Page of Ganymede
Choice: Offices - To the right, toward the aura.

Yvoire jerked to a stop.

He felt it, that sick, ugly sensation he’d first experienced when he encountered a youma, only it was different this time, worse. Some innate sense told him it wasn’t a monster, but a person steeped in evil. The sudden flare of it took his breath away.

Briefly, he thought he should avoid it. He was only a Page, and an inexperienced one at that. What good could he do? They were here to investigate. Surely, if they went further into the offices, where the executives kept their files, they would find something.

But some of the others were going to the right. Their kind auras felt strong, and safe. Yvoire didn’t think he’d be in much danger with them, when they had that wicked aura outnumbered.

Besides, those people with the ugly auras were the ones who killed Daddy.

Yvoire gripped the baseball bat tighter in his hands and went right.

Cynthus, Page of the Moon
Choice: Safe - fiddle with the keypad

Cynthus was pleased that another girl roughly her age (Stirling) was there. The adults were fine. They’d probably do most of the hard work, even if she questioned their wisdom. But being surrounded by boys could get annoying fast, even if Dering, Amarynthos, and Ephesus weren’t as noticeably weird as Reims.

Regardless of what anyone said about the duties of the tech team, and their abilities to carry out said duties, Cynthus wasn’t convinced that breaking into the safe was a good idea.

“All I’m saying is that the security on the safe isn’t the same as the security on the building. Or it shouldn’t be. How many of the people here have actually broken into a bank before?”

Did bank robbers and other criminals get to be Senshi and Knights? Would the Code actually choose those sorts of people? (Clearly the Code had nothing against recruiting kids her age, given that her fellow knights of the moon didn’t look any older than her. Maybe their youth was a benefit or something.) Then again, the Code didn’t pick everyone. Just look at Reims.

Cynthus released a long-suffering sigh (even though she hadn’t been suffering for very long.

“A baseball bat’s not going to be enough to break open a safe, unless they’ve got the worst safe in the world.”

She poked at the keypad with the end of her shepherd’s crook. If it triggered an alarm and the cops showed up, oh well. They had superpowers and could run fast. They’d definitely be able to get away.
