The duo sat and ate their beef -- which turned out to be a sort of hawaiin pineapple teriyaki flavor -- for a bit whiel they decided how to decorate it. Torin curbed Julie's enthusiasm just a bit, just so it was manageable, but helped to do their best, and actually pulled it off some. It only... sort of looked like a seven year old had decorated it, and they ended up getting a good thirty tickets for their efforts, along with the chance to eat their own cupcakes, which they shared with the pokemon. Mareepa ended up with frosting all over her face, but excited for a second, while Chico calmly ate his, eying his teammate with a bit of uncertainty. The group got up once they were done eating, and while Julie was too full to do much, Trey offered to win her some tickets back at the games.

While Julie draped herself over Mareepa, who seemed perfectly content and/or oblivious to this, Torin worked to get her some more tickets, with an assist from Chico. Surprisingly... the two boys did extremely well. Chico even seemed rather happy -- a bit caught off guard, but happy -- at their winnings. Torin smiled as he found Julie half asleep, and picked her up, getting her on his back, and letting the two pokemon, er... attempt to go on and find some more games -- or maybe just some activities -- that they could do instead.

Torin lost sight of Chico and Mareepa at some point, and after a bit of walking, he moved to find a slightly more open area, and let Tria back out. With her permission, he set Julie on her back, so that she could lay down and rest more comfortably-- and he coudl save his back some pain. He eventually managed to find the grass and electric type pokemon at one of the games, with Chico apparently complaining to a very blissfully unaware Mareepa, who seemed adamant about trying the same games over and over. Well... at least she was having fun. And it was no wonder her and Julie got along so well.

Torin was just starting to get the pokemon corralled back, and collect the tickets, when Julie stirred a bit. He glanced over, pocketing the tickets and straightening up, on the fence about recalling the pokemon or not. Honestly he was about ready to pack up and head home, but he was sure Julie would want to spend more time here. He sighed a bit, running a hand though his hair, and looked around. Maybe they could find a place to just rest for a while... get some sleep, wake up refreshed, and try some of the other attractions they had here....

The group touched down at the Spookival with mixed results. Teleporting normally didn’t go over well for most individuals. MD had a few butterflies in his stomach, but was over all fine; teleporting wasn’t actually something that bothered him too much. Uriah however, who was already pissy for having his adamant disapproval about coming here ignored, was a complete wreck and immediately disappeared to the nearest wastebasket to abandon his breakfast. Jubilee winced at the noise and even MD made a bit of an ‘oh dear’ kind of face, giving the Zorua a concerned look as he returned.
"You alright there Uri…?"
"No." The pokemon hissed back and MD snapped his mouth shut. He didn’t need to comment more on that situation, though his brow furrowed as the pokemon started to stalk away towards an available picnic table. "Where-"
"To sit down, I’m not going any further," Uriah snapped as he plopped his butt down on the bench, arms still clutched around his middle. MD blinked and just stared at him; Uriah usually wasn’t such a baby but it was painfully obvious that he was miffed and looking for any excuse to act like one. The Zorua was a stubborn one too so….
MD sighed, rubbing the back of his neck and giving Jubilee an apologetic look. "Hey Jubi, would you mind sticking close to Uri for me? I want to look around and I don’t want him ‘alone in his illness’," he emphasized the last words with a bit of sarcasm. Jubilee’s cheeks puffed out a bit in disapproval; she didn’t want to be stuck with Uriah any more than MD did. Quickly he tugged out a few of his pokeballs and handed them to her. "Here! Why don’t you check out the games too? I think Chromie and Murphy would enjoy it," he gave her a pleading wink and Jubilee sighed.
"Ooookkayyy… Can I get a costume?!" MD took the request into consideration, glancing around for the nearest costume stall. "Yeah… sure! I’ll check with you, I could use a costume; that’s the best way to be spooky right?" Jubilee cheered and immediately made a beeline for the costume area, with MD close behind. Well at least he could keep one of the two happy.

It was about thirty minutes later that they emerged from the costume shop with Jubilee a million times happier. She’d found herself a sort of genie-esque kind of costume that made her feel wispy and magic like. Which given she was already a pokemon in illusion form, was hilarious. MD had found himself a sort of outfit, deciding to stick with a sort of masked magician motif because why not. Confirming with Jubilee that she would watch after Uriah and the other two pokemon and that if they needed to meet up, it would be right back here in the picnic areas. MD in the meantime, let loose Dresden and Sissil as his own company, the pair looking rather confused at this change in scenery. The Grimarcane’s attention was immediately caught by a passing group of women dressed as witches, staring in awe. They kind of reminded him of … well him! The Lopunny on the other hand, didn’t look the least bit interested. He huffed, folding his arms over his chest as he narrowed a red eyed gaze around the grounds.
"C’mon you two, let’s take a look around!" The magician chimed, beginning his way towards one of the local game booths to check it out.

There weren’t enough words in the modern dictionary to describe exactly how Ashley felt in the moment. ‘Disappointed’ was too tame, ‘disgusted’ was too extreme. ‘Angry’ wasn’t the right emotion and anything else was just incorrect. At minimum, the only word that came to mind that was on the nose in describing a portion of how he felt was ‘unhappy’.
He’d stored his sniper away for the time being (which was more so sending it off to the care of Dandy until he called for it again, as there was no way in the lowest level of the Void dimension the he would leave it in one of the pokemon center ‘security’ lockers) and flown himself down to the fair on Odilon, still trying to piece together what the costume might be and why he should bother wearing it; after all, Lyndon wasn’t going to show up and cut him down if he caught him not in it? Then again knowing the man, who the hell knew what would happen.
But he was willing to take that chance briefly when he figured out what trash of a costume he’d been provided. He should’ve set it on fire in the nearest trash can to be honest. But instead, he swallowed his pride before dawning it. The sooner he found his target the better because he had no interest of remaining dressed as a ninja of all things for too long.

Stepping out of the changing area, Ashley tried to adjust the face mask (awful) before just ripping it down to wear around his neck like some tacky tattered neckerchief. He probably looked stupid as hell with it and his glasses on at the same time anyways. Trying not to just… act a fool, he unleashed Alphonse and Cassiel from their pokeballs. The Gekkit immediately perked up at the scenery, gekkering and hopping about curiously. The mega just took a moment to stare at his trainer with a kind of look that read ‘what in the world are you wearing?’
"Do not ask," he commented before scooping up the Gekkit and handing it to the Audino. "You will keep your eyes open. We are here for a reason," Alphonse took ahold of the squirming fox creature, still staring before giving a slight nod of understanding. With that (mostly) settled, the French man turned and headed out more towards the crowds to scope the area. Ugh. He already hated this.

The entire time they walked through the main area of the carnival to the designated Picnic area, Tay and Fenrir held conversation. From what Avikna paid attention to, the Zorua was rather mouthy, has a semi-decent filter at least, and one to make up random nicknames on the fly. The red-head found it somewhat annoying, but Tay seemed happy joking with the vixen, so Avikna made no attempt to shut them up. Thankfully, the smell of food did the task for her. "Oh! Avikna, I smell something good! I'm really, really hungry." Tay announced, rushing to Aivkna's side to grab the red-head's arm. "It's been awhile since we had something to eat hasn't it?" Avikna replied, glancing around. The first few food stands came into view, sporting everything from Carmel apples to Gyro's. Tay quickly decided what she wanted was under a place with no name. It merely advertised what they had, which were Foot-long Hotdogs, Burgers, Fries, Onion rings... basically the common food choices of Carnivals and fairs. Ordering a Hotdog for Tay, and a plate of fries for herself, Avikna and Tay moved over to a stall selling bulk packages of Pokefood.
With their food, the two humans of the group found a wide open space to settle down. Once they'd done that, Avikna released her team to eat, quickly advising Tay to do the same before she dove into her hotdog. "Make sure your Pokemon are taken cared of before yourself." Avikna stated. "Okay, Avikna." With that, everyone emerged from their balls and began to divvy up the food, finding themselves gathering into groups.
Kezia, the Zoroark that joined Avikna during the previous event was quick to obtain the attention of the newest addition to the growing family. Fenrir happily joined Kezia and Aislin as the duo sat off to the side to eat. "It's nice to meet another of my kind, where did you come from?" Kezia inquired. "Hmm? Oh, I've always lived here." The vixen replied, jutting her head towards the main entrance. "I've been working at that Haunted House for what seems like forever." Kezia furrowed her brow. "And your kin?" The vixen tilted her head, shaking it after a moment. "I don't think I'm related directly to any of the other Zorua or even Zoroarks that work here. I don't really know where my pack went, or who they even are." This answer worried Kezia. These people didn't seem like they were apart of that group whom attacked the Lostlorn Forest. Was the fox perhaps left in the care of these humans as a means to protect their kit? Perhaps. "But hey, you've worked here forever right? Show us around. Trust me, Avikna's not going to go anywhere for awhile, I wanna play games!" Aislin pipped in. The Zorua, tilted her head, then grinned impishly. "Oh, I know the in's and out's of this place." The vixen snickered. Finishing up their food, Aislin, Kezia and Fenrir informed Avikna of their desire, to which Avikna waved them off. "Don't spend the tickets you win on stupid things." Avikna added before the trio vanished into the crowds.
A moment later, the trio found themselves at a game called 'Pumpkin Search.' Aislin took the initiative, being far to eager to play a game. Low and behold, the canine pulled out a baggy with 10 tickets in it. "Woo! What luck!". Though the hype was dropped when they came to the Squash Smash, where Kezia took a shot at slamming a rather large-sized Squash. She missed. Moving on with her one ticket win, the vixen was on the search for a game where she could redeem herself.

It’d have been a lie to say that MD wasn’t some level of giddy to be at the fair, but he maintained his composure as they maneuvered through the crowds, taking in the sights. Now that was something he could get behind. With more excitement than a child in a candy shop, he made his way over and weaved himself through the small crowd that had been formed. While he didn’t look… suspicious or anything per say, MD couldn’t help but think of him as a Patrat, but without the eye mask.

He tapped the brim of the hat with a plastic wand that he’d snapped into his hand with a flick of his wrist (which absolutely made MD flinch) before tucking it behind his ear and fishing in the hat to produce an odd looking pokeball plushie. The crowd clapped as he took a deep bow, and MD simply quirked an eyebrow and folded his arms across his chest. Simple street magic? Nothing impressive but he was the supportive type. "And now, for a shower of ever grand brilliance! Behold, gentle people, don’t blink! Or you may miss the dazzle of my next magnificent trick!" The crowd shuffled, some small children oo’ing and others murmuring between one another about what to expect next.

"I’m all about a good trick, so show me what you’ve got." He gave a wink and the street magician flustered, clearly not enjoying this jubilant invasion on his show. Eventually he cleared his throat though and straightened his collar. ”Very well! But the mystics are to be taken seriously my friend. I hope you understand that.” MD refrained from chuckling in response, just giving a solid nod of understanding. This was going to be good.

The stands were your standard fan fair. Fake potions being peddled as cures for average pains that ailed the average person, fake voodoo dolls that briefly caught his attention (if only because it was amusing to think the little bit of crochet could be used to torment someone) but he didn’t believe such nonsense and kept his focus on the crowds. Lyndon had spelled out the reasoning why Faraday might be here and what the French man ought to be looking for, but in this moment he highly doubted that the man’s information was… reliable.
The place was saturated in people of all types and walks, with just as many costumes to boot. And the amount of people peddling some off-brand idea of magic made it hard to believe that there would be any identifying one baffling idiot from another.

Ashley glanced to Alphonse, who was slightly more interested in the carnival than he was, an excited Cassiel weaseling about in grasp as well. The Gekkit seemed more interested in exploring the games or some nonsense, which was surprising. He was on the young side.
Not now though. Instead, the French man turned his attention to a small crowd surrounding what he assumed was a street performer and with dull boredom, made his way over to see what the fuss was about. There were two men; both dressed in the style of magicians (convenient) with very different attitudes towards the situation. One (who looked a bit rather weasley) and another who seemed far to excited for their own good. Interesting.

With everyone settled in and in their own little groups, everyone ate their food relatively calmly. Once their food was done, Avikna advised sitting for a bit longer to rest and let their food digest. Carni food wasn't always trustworthy, and it was nice to be relatively close to some bathrooms just in case. Tay, of course obliged, but anyone with eyes could tell she had ants in her pants. The cause of which was a small group of people gathering somewhat in the distance. Avikna was inclined to believe it was likely an eating contest or something, why Tay wanted to investigate so badly was beyond her. When finally Avikna could handle Tay's jittering anymore, she waved the teen off. "I'll stay here, don't go anywhere else but there." Avikna stated, sending along Dovakin along with her. Of course Cotee and Freya joined Tay, along with Tethe and Madeen, making a nice sizable and protective group following after Tay. Avikna in the mean time moved over to Arietty and Mave, who were mid conversation, but quickly included Avikna.
What Tay found was what appeared to be a street performance. Pushing her way to the front of the crowd. just as the man called for a volunteer, she found herself foiled when another male stepped forward, eager to participate in the performance. 'magic' as it were, was a relatively new thing to Tay. The kids back at the school played tricks on her that, well some could be considered magic, but most were just mean ways to make fun of her, not that Tay ever really cared. Even still, she was eager to watch.
Meanwhile, Aislin, Fenrir and Kezia were still standing at the Squash Smash while Kezia grumbled over her loss. "Wait, I want to try." Aislin grinned, holding one paw with her other. "I'm good at punching things." She added. Stepping forward, the canine ignored the attendant telling her to use a mallet and made a quick right hook, contacting with the Squash. However, she didn't even manage a dent. Pulling back her paw, the canine yelped. "Ow, hey. Are these real? There is no way I didn't even dent it!" She growled. "They are harder than they look, I guess..." Kezia muttered. She was felling a bit better at her attempt, given she might not of even damaged it if she'd managed to hit it. Aislin huffed, snatched her one ticket and began to usher the group away. "Let's go back to that Pumpkin game." She stated. Fenrir continued to chuckle as she followed along behind the girls. Luckily, the Pumpkin game was a turn of luck, leaving the girls with another ten tickets to add to their slowly growing bundle. "Games are fun and all, but is there anything else we could do?" Kezia inquired, turning to Fenrir for directions. "Huh? Oh, yea. You could try the Corn maze, or maybe make some sweets?" The vixen replied. "I'm down for the Corn Maze myself. I have a friend who works in the one over near the Midway." Deciding upon taking on the Corn Maze in the end, the group ventured off towards where Fenrir was leading them.

The street magician regained his composure after the abrupt volunteer offer made by MD. He cleared his throat and furnished a gloved hand out at his side as he spoke loudly to the crowd again, MD idling by patiently with arms folded behind his back.
"For my next trick, I shall call on my powers to teleport an item through space and time!" The crowd ‘oo’ed in interest; MD bit his bottom lip to keep from laughing at the overplayed theatrics that the man was putting on. He understood the reason for it; you had to entice a crowd properly to get them into the tricks but goodness… this fellow was just a bit extra. The man fished an orb from his cloak, holding it out for the crowd to see; it seemed to have a sort of smoke rolling purple smoke in the middle of it, giving it an extra level of a mysticism.
