Jason was hanging around the back, watching the orientation with interest. All things considered it was much tamer then the one he was put through. No heads were rolling this time. He had to admit, it was a little amusing to watch Sherry stab Lucky a few times.
He even learned a few new things. Like don't touch anything. Sound advice.

Kammy was somewhere in the audience looking star struck, peeking at all the hunters in coats with the super special weapons and feeling rather low leveled and newbish.
At least she had her own super special awesome weapon and not, well, runics.
She sat there quietly, listening and taking mental notes.

Soleil had taken a seat somewhere in the middle, comfortable despite the strangeness of the island and her obvious newness. She had her cost on, but I'm zipped. Hair, dark with multicolored steaks running through it, was drawn back in a braid. A loose tee shirt, heeled boots, and galaxy print leggings finished the look.
Slouched a bit in her chair, e listened closely to what the four hunters had to say to them, eyes widening just a touch at a few key moments. Especially the shoulder stabbing.
When they had all finished up, and no one else looked like they were ready to jump up and speak, Soleil sat up in her chair, leaning forward to glance around the room.

Standing up against one wall with one leg bent up and arms crossed below an extremely modest chest stood a very, very petite Hunter with tanned skin, freckles, and long blonde and pink hair drawn into two thick French braided tails resting over her shoulders. She had on a pair of cut off shorts, worn leather boots, and a loose fitting top hanging off one thin shoulder beneath the cover of her jacket, unzipped.
She was watching the gathered hunters rather than the four who has gotten up to speak, pale lavender eyes scanning the crowd for new faces with suns on the backs of crisp, white jackets.

Quietly, Ever settled up next to Peyton -- slouching down against the wall beside her and crossing his legs at the ankles. The movement was casual, something about his pasture and the proximity teasing even without him saying anything to her. All he offered was a sideways flick of his eyes and a brief flash of a smile, watching to see if she reacted at all to the new colors on his coat.
While people spoke, he rubbed slowly at his left wrist, still pale and a little scrawny, even in comparison to the stork-like skinny-boy rest of him.
In short: Vash looked too young to be there, and he also looked hyper aware of it. At eighteen, there was still something sweet about his face (though not his expression) that drove him toward something younger, and the way he hunched down into his hoodie, the way he pulled his coat in tighter around him, didn't help the effect. While whoever-the-hell talked (******** Gale, apparently) he let his eyes wander the crowd, narrowed and intense, with a frown on his face and dirty blond hair falling limp around his face.
He had an easy "don't talk to me" attitude going on. It was not a good sign considering this was meant to be orientation, which usually meant get to know each other.

Joy had gravitated near the refreshments, though she looked more interested in serving the food and drinks than actually taking any for herself. She was all smiles and radiated a sense of happy to be here, and happier to be of help! that might seem a tad too earnest for someone who'd been on the island for as long as she has.
But smile she did, does.

Terry didn't think he should be here but at the same time he absolutely believed he should be there. It's been only a few months since he got out of his pod and the s**t he'd seen would normally have been enough to send him screaming back into the pod for safety. But then again, he won a children's card game and if considering that as his greatest achievement wasn't a testament to how pathetic his life had been prior to Deus, he didn't know what else to say.
He sidled up to Kim. Not really saying anything. He knew she'd notice him eventually.
((ooc: Terry is a Y1 Life Hunter who would rather you not bite him please.))
Sam was dutifully taking notes the entire time, taking pauses only to look at each presenter's face for posterity. So...shield, artifacts, missions, assistants and leads...This was a crash course more than an orientation, which suited her just fine. She concentrating deep enough in her notebook that had she stolen a Life coat, no-one would have second-guessed it.
"Excuse me," she said in an undertone to the woman next to her. "Did you catch what they said about housing in the towns?"

Brittney was not a loner. She actually liked people. For a given amount of like. And a given definition of people. But like Gale said, there was no going back or some s**t, which meant she was stuck in the middle of ******** nowhere island. Yeah yeah, it was in the Bermuda Triangle but the newly awakened trainee didn't really see that much of a difference.
She took a seat somewhere in the middle, not really keen on looking keen but she wasn't going to be labeled as a slacker-jack either. She leaned heavily against the back rest, crossing her arms across her chest.
Tobin, Dottie, Nash, all three of them got into Sun where he bet all the cool s**t went. But him? Oh no, he got thrown in with the lot of nerds in Life division. So what if he liked to read about s**t? <********' stereotypes.
Hands jammed into his pockets, he was the picture of an unruly punk asking for someone to bother him, and he shouldered past a trainee without so much as a grunt as he got to his seat. Dean remained in a foul mood over the whole thing throughout the course of the first part of orientation, though he couldn't help but pay attention. Even he had to say the idea of being a hunter didn't sound so bad, supernatural power bitches aside.
He just hoped being in a different division didn't oust him from the group. What if they got more injokes and s**t without him? Or got called to missions he couldn't go to? Or worse...God, why did he have to be such a c-c-c-c-combo breaker?
Dean laid back and sighed to himself as he checked out the crowd. Most especially the ladies, whom the moment he caught eye contact, he wiggled his brows suggestively and grinned.

A rather sullen looking Death Hunter, Oz, was going around with some sort of clipboard, apparently checking off names for some attendance sheet, calling out random names in a monotone fashion. Anyone who actually signaled their arrival would just get an oddly annoyed, sullen look, and then a very slow checkmark off the sheet.

If you've been quoted, come post your newbie Hunter chars/ drop them by! This a great chance for you to mingle/ chat/ meet others (Feel free to read the first few posts on more IC info!)
Your character might also hear Oz (a random Death Hunter NPC) call their name and look around before checking them off the attendance- wait doesn't that sheet that say test subjects?

"Oof, I don't like the sound of that."
Nora leaned against a wall, arms crossed, looking amused despite her words. She was dressed in full armor despite the hot temperature, along with makeup and well-groomed hair and nails. It was the intimidation factor, or at the very least the need to present an image to the new trainees. Given her appearance , height, and accent, Nora was sure she'd strike an image. And if not, well, she felt good in all this anyway.
She took a peek at the name tag of several nearby hunters, clearly not bothered by rules of etiquette, and clicked her tongue. "Oh, dear. When they call your name like that, it's never good." She had no earthly idea what, if anything, Oz was keeping track for, but a little teasing never hurt anyone. "They like to haze the new ones."

Brittney met Dean's eyes briefly before stretching out her arms to purposely stick her chest out. She wasn't a curvy sort, fit and toned would be better descriptions but she had tits and she didn't really mind when other people stared. After a wink and a smirk, she mouthed You're Welcome.
Before sharply turning towards Oz as her name was incorrectly pronounced. She made a face, uncaring if the division assistant saw before snorting and leaning back against her chair. What did it matter?
Apparently it was a hazing thing? If this- Brittney just lost her train of thought at the sight of this gorgeous bad-a** Queen. Forcing herself to look at the others being addressed, the moon trainee returned her gaze to the armored hunter,"Oh? Well they can bring it, I ain't ******** scared." The confidence in her voice was definitely not just empty bravado.
Sherry watched the crowd as the others spoke, nodding here and there to help emphasize important things.
When she caught the eye of one young trainee, she noted the way he grinned did that eyebrow thing people do when they're hitting on you.
Sherry raised one of her own eyebrows very high in confusion. He looked a bit too young for her, maybe. It was hard to tell. She gave him a skeptical look and then looked away. She was sure he'd have no problem finding girlfriends, though.
