There was, well, a big drop in front of Puella. A waterfall. How had she gotten up again? Oh yeah. She'd climbed the rocks next to it. But she'd needed her climbing gear to do that, and...well. This egg was just way too unwieldy for climbing to be possible. That kind of meant...she had to jump. Ugh.
Closing her eyes, Puella prepared to leap -
- and landed, luckily, on her own two feet. She didn't take the time to marvel over that, though. The egg was far more important. But it was also safe! A little banged up, yes, but that wasn't anything some tender loving care wouldn't fix.
Huh. Maybe she would have a great souvenir from this vacation, after all.
