Imoogi Gets Ambushed! [Hunt|Solo]

word count 500

I got attacked today by a Ysali dragon. Not sure why it attacked, maybe it felt threatened? I think I was off Soudul but really, why attack me? I was just looking for plants to eat. Silly dragon. I left rather then fight, cause I hate to fight on land.

Hunting Herbs on Soudul [Adventure|Solo]

word count 594

After fleeing, I circled around and went back to the land in a different location. I smelled water inland and decided to eat there. When I got there I remembered a story about a special herb that was supposed to grow by the lake on Soudul. Since I'm pretty sure that I was on Soudul, that meant that this was the lake. I spent the night looking for this Fluffoton and eating everything else. I found it and then left to show it to my brothers who like these inedible plants.

Night Fights and Feasting [Hunt|Solo]

word count 710

So I was headed to my brothers when I realized that the salt water might destroy my inedible plant. This meant that I had to swim on the surface where I could be attacked. Sure enough I was attacked, by that same stupid Ysali from yesterday. Dumb thing. I escaped again and spent the night napping onland so my plants wouldn't get destroyed. In the morning I found another Ysali dragon eating something and killed the Ysali and took its meal. I'm not going to say how as my parents might find this journal and yell at me. Anyway, after stuffing myself full, I headed across the ocean to my brother's lair.

Seaside Meeting || Grrel [Hunt|PRP]

word count 1607

I discovered 4 of those hated Kiandri's today on my way to my brothers. I attacked them. Foolish of me, but it turned out alright cause of another Khehora spotted me and helped me off them all. Her name was Grrel and she had a very bright coloration. Nice fighter, but she was considering becoming a Khehorian. Why? Why become more like a magescian? I shall have to think about this.

Imoogi's Rest with Siblings and Plotting for his Backpack [RP|Solo]

After the battle at the coast where Grrel and I killed 4 Kiandris, I needed some time to rest and recover, so after doing some basic healing on myself, I headed to my brother's lair for some relaxation…and plotting. That’s right; I wanted to ask those two about making something.

I swam away to the little island where Ah-jooh and Ah-mooh my clutch mates lived with all their clutter outside of Talimua on Eowyn. I arrived as the sun was coming up and they had come out to enjoy the early rays. I emerged from the water and Ah-mooh noticed me first, as he usually does. Shocked at the sort-of healed wounds my two adorable older brothers fussed over me. I love them, but they can be a bit silly at times. For the rest of the day we lounged around in the sun eating from their stores and talked about what had happened since we had last met. They scolded me for attacking when I was outnumbered- I ignored them. As the sun settled down I stashed my make-shift pack in their lair and headed out to hunt for some food. They said they’d be back from the village with fresh fruits and stuff so we parted. When I came back they had laid out the food and we settled in for dinner.

Over dinner I mentioned that I wanted to make a pack for holding stuff so that I didn’t have to cast magic all the time to protect stuff I found when swimming deep under sea. They talked it over and started going over what I could do. We talked about a neck pouch, belt pouch and different ways of strapping packs on. I immediately vetoed any item that would be strapped to my neck. I do not want anything around my neck, it feels so uncomfortable. Ah-jooh started scribing on in the sand different packs. In the lamplight, we came up with a pack that would rest on my back between my shoulder blades; the straps would cross over my chest and under the wings making sure that the wings would not be hindered in their movement. After that we talked about materials.

We decided that a sea creature should probably provide the outside so that there would be as little drag as possible created and the outside would naturally have water repellant properties. Thinking back to my time in the ocean, I remembered the Arboa around Soudul. An adolescent or 3 would provide enough material and it was a dark color. Not to mention that it would be the easiest to catch out of the ocean dwellers. I figured that I could get around its poisonous nature by using water magic to throw it onto the shore or just surrounding it with air. Since they have bright spots, I would only kill those that had blue or a dark spots to make my backpack.

Ah-mooh suggested Magbit fluff for an inside cushioning. It sounded good to me, and they existed on Soudul according to him as well. That would be good, it would minimize the trip time with the dead creatures. The two of them suggested that I find a town with a crafter in it before I get the materials so that there was less chance of spoilage. I agreed and we went to sleep and full stomachs the two of them curled around me as we used to sleep when we were smaller.

After a couple more days of enjoying their company, I headed out for Soudul with my makeshift pack on my back using magic to keep it safe and attached, very annoying having to keep doing that. I would be glad when I finally had my pack.

Imoogi Goes Hunting Arboa [Hunt|Solo]

word count 1818

After talking with my smaller brothers, I set out to gather materials to make myself a backpack! I decided to go to Soudul to gather the magbits and Arbola because of their coloring. No point in having different clashing colors, right? It took awhile, like most the day, but I managed to get two Arbola with blue colors. I rested up for the rest of the afternoon after eating most the fish in a small pond.

Imoogi Goes Hunting Magbits (part 1) [Hunt|Solo]

word count 616

I went hunting the magbits. It wasn't pretty....I tried to do some air dives. I kept freezing up....I hate flying at the ground. What if I crash and die? the ground is nasty and hard unlike the lovely water. I managed to get a fully grown magbit and its little. Unfortunately, I needed more fluff to line the inside of my pack, which means, back to hunting. I think this time I will try moving on the ground rather than flying.

Imoogi Goes Hunting Magbits (part 2) [Hunt|Solo]

word count 631

The evening was wearing on and I still hadn't found more magbits, so back into the dreaded air I went. I soon found a pair of magbits, and dove for them.....it didn't work out. Fortunately I didn't crash, but it certainly wasn't going to win any points for gracefulness. I chased those two for quite some time through the undergrowth until I finally caught one of them. Since I only needed one more that meant I could stop hunting on theses stupid land. But as I was about to leave, I heard the sound of something crying, or maybe calling out.....

Alone in the Dark || Malta [RP|PRP]

WIP

I met a tiny pudgy Ysali Khehora today, her name was Malta. I was wandering around after hunting magbits on Soudul when I heard her crying. She had been left out in the wilderness by her "clan". Jerks the lot of them, you never leave a child out by itself in the wilderness. And she was a child for all that she was fully grown. No confidence, no fighting ability, and a rather naive and innocent outlook on life. We talked and I found out that her entire clan was a bunch of brusers, all fight and no thought. She however was apparently a skilled alchemist, which is impressive considering how hard it is to manipulate stuff with our claws. We talked and I found out that she could help me make my backpack, which is wonderful! She even suggested a way to make it better, I hadn't even considered the problem of rot.

I offered to help look for materials for the the dye and rot prevention and she seemed rather shocked. Maybe she thought that warriors only fight and hunt. Silliness, all warriors must have other skills, her clan warriors must be stupid and useless. Everyone needs to know something besides fighting. I think I should beat them up, but she asked me not too. Pity, maybe later....

Imoogi finds his Home! [RP|Solo]

Finally, I could enjoy a day of no walking, no flying above the ground, just swimming. Next time I spend an extended amount of time on land, I’m going to find deeper lakes and rivers. Ugh, my feet were so sore from all the walking. I hate walking, but sometimes I need stuff that isn’t the ocean. I wish I could find everything I wanted in the ocean, that would make life perfect. Sadly that won’t be possible, so I’ll just have to deal with the stupid land.

Anyway, I was swimming around off the northeastern coast of Soudul. That day I had no plans, I was just going to enjoy the ocean after spending all that time on Soudul in tiny lakes and shallow streams and all the walking. So I was cruising around the surface water, diving deep, or just floating in the empty ocean. It was wonderful, a simple day of simple pleasures.

After spending all of the morning being lazy, I needed to eat. As always my stomach decides my schedule. So I swam further out into the blue, headed for where there were a tiny string of large rocks jutting up from the deep ocean bed. They were big enough that they passed the surface and even had plants growing on the tops, some of them might even be called islands, if you could reach the tops. They were these giant rocky pillars that narrowed as they went up, so the bottoms were very large. On the sides grew lots of plant life, so they should be food near them or hiding among the plant life underwater.
I spent an enjoyable hour grabbing small fish and eating them before spying a larger one near the ocean floor at the base of the largest of the rock spires. As I dived towards it, I was spotted and it darted under a rock about 7 feet above the floor. I reached the spot where it had vanished landed on the ocean floor. I was looking straight at an underwater cave opening most of it was covered by plant life, but I could tell that the entrance was just large enough for my to enter , if I closed my wings. How interesting.

I entered carefully, wary of predators. As I examined the inside, above me, the water continued upward. Interesting as that was, when I spotted the large fish swimming upwards, I ignored my surroundings and attacked, getting a nice meal. Munching on my fish lunch, I swam through the twisted path that always spiralred upwards. The inside of the spiral tunnel had patches of glowing moss that provided light. I looked at the bright and colorful plants and tiny fish that live on the inside of this rock pillar searching for signs of predators, but there were none. I reached the surface and popped my head above the water.

Looking around me, there was a beach on all sides that lead up to the rock walls. The walls might have been thirty to forty feet high, it was hard to tell because of the plant life. The closer the beach got to the rock wall, the thicker the trees and plant growth. In these walls there were three maybe four cave faces. Above, there were vines and criss-crossing plants that shaded the inside. It was a perfect secret base! I shall call this my lair, I grinned and jumped out of the water onto the beach. But first, I must make sure that nothing else lives here. Exploring the caves, I found only signs of bird life and the remains of some 4 legged creature, long dead. Flying to the top of the rock walls, I settled down on the rim. I call it a rim, but the rock walls were about 5 of my body lengths thick, so 50 feet approximately. There were small creatures and more bird life in the trees and plants that grew on the rim. This is perfect.

Now all I have to do is find a way to prevent others from claiming it...hmmmm… I shall have to tame some creatures to guard this place while I am not here. Now what would be good for this…..As I returned to the caves and started cleaning out the biggest one, I was thinking about which creatures would be the best. I would need at least three, one for the ocean, one for the air and one to live on the earth. That would be the best. For the ocean defense, maybe a svartrin or three. For the air, an Alkara should do. and for the land defenese…. hmmm, an Argaroo? I could find multiple and have a colony of them to guard my lair. This sounds like a plan. But for feeding them, I might have to bring Bouken for them to eat, other than that, there seems to be plentiful amounts of berries and nuts around here.

I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning out one of the Underwater caves and the largest cave above water, with breaks for hunting. I did not hunt on my little hidden island so as to not destroy the cycle that existed.

Imoogi's First Attempt at Taming! [Taming|Solo]

word count 685

Since I had found my secret lair, I needed to have guards to protect it. After all, I'm constantly on the move, can't always be here to prevent people form taking my stuff. So now to find animals and tame them, maybe even train them. This will be fun, I've only ever killed creatures I've hunted. Well, mother always did say you need to keep learning new things. I shall learn how to train my food! I wonder if this counts as playing with my food?

Anyway, my first attempt didn't go so well. I need to figure out how to make a cage to keep the creatures in. This time was an Alkara, some bird that will serve as a watcher. I shall prepare more for the next time.

Well, today didn't go to well either...but I have learned new things! I shall prepare for the next strike....no blue featherball is going to get the better of me! Not again at least. Third times the charm, isn't that how the saying goes?
