Spy Training Day One- Scores and Thoughts
Disguise: 54
Stealth: 75
Tools: 82
Canoake had eagerly signed up for training. Though she wasn't sure if she would be sent out, it didn't hurt to have useful skills like those being offered. The slight Threadburn that Tatath had suffered had healed quite nicely and even now, both enjoyed reliving their bravery.
Her first attempt at disguise had gone much better than some of the males present. One of the advantages of being female and working in the lower caverns, you knew how to blend in to the walls. She had forgone her normal colorful clothing and went with more subtle, dull browns and grays. No jewelry, no bangles or scarves, and her hair was tied back in a simple braid. "How do I look, Tatath?"
The green sighed.
Canoake chuckled and turned towards a couple of the other riders. Their attempts were less than successful. She wasn't sure if she should say anything though her tongue was in cheek and her eyes sparkled with amusement.
------------
At the end of the day, Canoake rushed back to her rooms and threw on her favorite scarf and bangles. A bit of blush and she looked in the tiny shiny glass she had saved and scraped to own. There! Now she felt herself. Anything, anything to get ahead... To move up the ladder. They would see how well a green rider and her dragon would do... They would prove themselves. But for now, Canoake walked over to Tatath and hugged her dragon fiercely.
"It is all about us. We will do this."
We will and all of Pern will talk of us. One step at a time. The green crooned.
