Solo - Human 583 words It was midnight. Olivia was alone in her dorm room, as she hadn't been placed with a roommate yet. Hopeful that one day soon she would get one, the other half of the room was left empty. She always made sure that it would be easy for someone to move in, and yet it hadn't happened yet.
SHe was standing within the small, cramped bathroom, only half of the sink covered in her things. Simple things. A toothbrush, some tooth paste. A large brush for her hair, a small comb for her bangs. A little bit of product to brush into it to keep it smooth. She looked at herself in the mirror, simply only in her underwear. They were simple things, as it was hard to find anything fancy that she could fit into. Livy had never minded being petite growing up, as everyone had always called her cute or adorable. Livy liked that.
But now, being 18 and in prep school, Livy thought differently. She was still cute, sure. But there was nothing sexy about being cute. She was so small chest wise she wondered if it would have been better to be flat. Her hips weren't much better. She didn't look like a boy, but it was too easy to overlook her for her lack of, well, any sort of curves. She sighed, staring a moment longer. "At least the uniform makes it look like I have something behind me," she mused, but it didn't get much more than a sad smile out of her.
Her mother hadn't been very cuvy either, but Livy didn't get much out of what little there was to have. She pulled her eyes away from the mirror, grabbing the brush to start the ritual of brushing out her mane of hair. If she didn't, it would easy gather up intoa mess, and Livy hated it when it got that bad. She strolled to her small bed, a simple bedspread covering her equally simple sheets. One small stuffed animal lingered near the pillow, a little dog that her father had given her when she was a child.
As she flopped on the bed, she stared at the blank wall across the room, feeling her hair for any hints of a mess and brushing it out methodically.
"I hope I make some friends soon," she said to the still air. Livy was one that loved to go outside and shop, though she never realy bought anything. WIndow shopping was always a pleasure, of things that she desired but had no need (or space for). She saved every penny for those cute little dresses she loved, and to make sure that she ate well. And while it was all fun, th fun quickly ended when you realized that you did this every day all alone.
After she finished with her hair, she returned the brush to its place in the bathroom. The light shut off, she pulled herself into bed. She had morning class, as she always preferred classes in the early morning. It was going to be interesting tomorrow, with what short amount of sleep she would get tonight. Her eyes lingered at the clock, stating with its neon green glow that it was just after 1 am. She sighed, flopping to her side as she hugged that stuffed dog desperately.
"Maybe tomorrow I'll make a friend," she said, closing her eyes. There was always a chance that tomorrow, something new would start in her life.

After a long night of studying, Olivia was on her way home when a youma found her. She was frozen in fear until a human in strange clothing protected her. Then a talking cat appeared, and told Olivia that she was actually Sailor Galatea. After helping this other senshi, Corvus, defeat the youma, Galatea got a crash course in what it meant to be a senshi. Or so she had throught. There were still a lot of questions, and Galatea wasn't sure of what the next step was.

Solo - Human 543 words Settling herself down on the bed, Livy took a deep breath. She felt her hand shake slightly as she looked at the cell phone before her. It was her personal one, cutesy and glittery. She closed her eyes for a moment, her hand slowly steadying. When she opened her green eyes, the phone slipped open and she hit speed dial #2.
Raising the phone smoothly up to her ear, she rubs her lips together as the phone ringed. those small lips tensed when she heard the voice on the other line.
"Hi, Mom," she breathed, her voice still quiet, even if there was no one else in the room. She never did gain a roommate. "No, I'm okay, it's just been a long week." Taking her free hand, she grabbed a sliver of hair and twirled it around her finger, letting her eyes lock on that instead of wandering around the dark room. "No, it's nothing like that," she sighed. Boys didn't make it into her life, no matter what her mother thought. Boys didn't like this, her. Whatever, she dashed the thoughts from her mind. "Finals have been rough," she lied eloquently, something that she rarely did. "I'm glad that they're almost through."
She slipped back on her bed, resting her small head on her pillow. "Oh, also, Happy Mother's Day," she said brightly, smiling. "How're the brats doing? I'm sure you've been busy with them and not wanting to go to school." They were at the age that playing sick was starting to not work anymore. Her parents were finally putting their foot down. Even though they had always been tough with their oldest. Her. She rolled her eyes and sighed, "Moooom, really you know what I mean. They get out of stuff too easily, you spoil them."
The voice on the other end grew louder for a moment. Livy was only half paying attention to her mother's denial of how they spoiled the younger ones. Whatever. Livy only wished she could get out of the situation she was in now. She glanced over at the pen for a moment, quickly jerking her head away. No, she didn't want to think about it right now. That would mean facing a fantasy-reality again.
"Oh? Well, I'm sure you know what you're doing," she teased her mother, rolling onto her stomach as she heard her mother laugh on the other end.
"I have a question...do you think it would be possible for me to rent an apartment? With your guys' help, of course." Livy still didn't have a job, or any real experience. "I don't think the dorms will be the best idea this next year." She paused, gaining the courage slowly. "And I'd like to do it asap, and stay here for the summer...for my volunteer work."
Livy crossed her fingers. She needed that apartment for many reasons, one being privacy. Well, the only one, really.
"Oh, so you'll talk to Dad? Awesome, thanks Mom." She smiled again, but it was full of worries her mother couldn't see. "Alright, call me as soon as you decide, thanks."
"Love you too Mom, bye."
Livy clicked the phone shut, and buried her face in her pillow. Oh, how she wanted to hide from everything.

Battle RPGalatea x BixbyiteOlivia was returning home after a long night at the book store. She came across a girl that seemed nice enough, but suddenly she startled Olivia. Livy, unsure as to what was going on, knew that it was the right think to henshin up and become Sailor Galatea. Things weren't going right, and Galatea's fears of being a senshi returned. Instead of fighting back, she wasted her energy, and eventually ran off. She still doubts that what she is doing is the right thing.

Solo - Human 502 words
Sitting in her favourite coffee joint, Olivia sat near the window, watching a small amount of snow fall. Christmas was over, on top of the crazy madness that had happened on Christmas Eve...that she had missed. She didn't think that she'd really wanted to be there, but she was also tired of just spending so much time being alone.
"Oh," she breathed, thinking that she saw someone outside she recognized. She just...didn't want to get up and chase after them. She felt awkward doing that, and besides, they were probably on their way to something somewhere.
Resettling in her lonely thoughts, all she could think about was how her mother wanted her to get a pet. Really. She glanced down and stirred her coffee a bit, pausing to take a small sip before staring out again. First she paid Livy to get a two-room apartment, and now she wanted her to get a pet? As much as Olivia liked working with the animals in the shelter, she didn't think she was pet-owning material. Though...once mother was intent on something, Livy ended up doing it. Perhaps she would find herself a good, easy animal at the shelter soon. Something older, needing a warm fuzzy home to have for itself.
Suppressing a groan, she already felt her mother winning this 'argument'. Why couldn't she just stand up to herself? Without missing a beat, she knew why. Then she wouldn't be so lonely anymore. It would be nice to have something to visit her when she came home from classes, but that meant less crazy nights out. Less...being a scout?
Not...that she was any good at it. Ugh. Would she ever learn to be a better scout? Perhaps, but at the moment, she was learning that it was impossible to do anything on her own. She was great as support, perfect for defense, but there was no way that she was going to handle another negaverse agent on her own. She probably wouldn't even be able to handle a youma, unless throwing trash would work. Hah!
No, she was going to have to find a partner...maybe she could find out who exactly it was that saved her. Maybe they'd help her at least get her feet on the ground, understand what she was doing, and find a partner of some kind. Did they partner up with more than one other? She felt her stomach fall. To be perfectly honest, she didn't know anything. Just enough to hopefully keep her alive. It was time to fix that.
Feeling her mood plummet, she decided it was time to go home, wash up, and sleep. Tomorrow she would go down to the shelter and look at the animals in a different light. And maybe later that night she would henshin up and see what scouts she could find that might tell her more about this strange way of life. Olivia would not be able to avoid it forever.

Solo - Human 473 words
Prom. Livy was feeling a bit terrified of it. She still couldn't believe that Damon had asked her to go with him! She had said yes, of course. But once the initial excitement had worn off, she had started to panic. What would she wear?! She wanted to try and go a little more classic. It was out of her normal realm of clothing, but she didn't think any of the dresses that she owned were going to work. After going out and spending a fair penny, she had returned home to her apartment with a dress she wasn't sure she could pull off. Damn it, why couldn't she have nicer breasts?
She hung the dress up against the door to her bedroom, looking at it as she laid on her bed. It was gorgeous, but doubts still flooded her mind. Doubts that she knew she didn't deserve - there had to be a reason why Damon asked her. She might press the issue when the night came, but for now she had to decide how she was going to do her hair.
It felt so good, to indulge in these girlish desires. She knew that she was changing because of this senshi business, but it might be in the right direction. If she could just keep her 'regular' life in check so her parents wouldn't worry, everything would be alright. Right?
Sighing, she pulled herself off of her bed and let her fingers linger on the fabric of the dress. She could only wonder what the night would be like, and let her excitement return. Forget the stress, prom was going to be enough to fill her mind for a while!
Putting the dress safely away, she let herself dance around the room for a moment. She may be nineteen, but that wasn't going to stop her from feeling like she was sixteen. Prom, and a date! Things just couldn't get better!
Hmmm, well. She still remembered that idea of a dog. Maybe she could sneak in that conversation with Damon at some point. At least on a good breed to start researching on. Livy wasn't quite up to handling the animals at the shelter. Perhaps once she got her own pet, she'd start working her way upwards. It was a bit thrilling, the idea of having something depend on her for everything. Thrilling, and terrifying.
She had ended up on her bed again, holding her pillow. Thinking about dogs and Damon, which...yeah. Well. She knew that she was getting tired, even though it wasn't that late yet. The whole shopping spree that she went on earlier had been more stressful than needed. In the end, she hoped she wouldn't regret going a bit more elegant than normal. If just...ugh, forget thinking. It was time for a nap.

Solo - Human 655 words Click click click. It was the sound of a metal spoon against ceramic as Olivia stirred sugar into her first cup of coffee for the day. The kitchen area of her apartment was small, but comfortable, and she sat herself down at her tiny, flimsy table. It was really only big enough for her, and at the moment she enjoyed that.
After a few sips, she could feel herself beginning to awaken. It was silly, how much she depended on one drink. It was a habit that she'd never lose. At least there were a lot of others who depended on the bitter, yet sweet, drink.
Standing up, she carefully placed the plain white mug down near her sink. As she lifted her hand, she felt the shakes begin. They were starting to take her over.
Carefully, she walked herself back to the empty bedroom. There wasn't much in here - just a box or two of things that hadn't yet found their rightful place in the apartment. It was a room that she rarely entered, as there was no real need to. But right now, she didn't want to be around anything familiar. She folded herself into a corner in the dark room, and the shaking grew worse.
So many fears filled her mind. How much longer could she do this? It would be easier with companions, but she knew she was more of a liability than a partner at this point. She could barely keep herself alive. And how much longer would that last? Would she die soon? She had been injured, but nothing serious. Not yet. Her luck would run out, though.
The tears were welling up in her eyes, but she did not want to cry. It would drain her even more, and she knew better than to stay inside of this dark room all day. It would be destructive to her, but she couldn't stop it. She did begin to cry, and she began to hate herself for it.
She knew deep down that she wasn't alone, but in this selfish act of crying, she only felt the pain of solitude.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Swearing under her breath, she jumped up, wiping her eyes hastily with nothing but her hand, and peeked through the eye hole. Just a delivery. She looked terrible, but the delivery man wouldn't care. She opened the door, exchanged hellos, signed for her package, and he was gone. Simple. So why did she feel so ugly? Oh, right. Her eyes were red and puffy, her hair was a mess, and she wasn't in anything she'd consider decent.
With a sigh, she collapsed on the floor. The carpet padded much of her fall, but she didn't care if she had just bruised herself. She was creeping too close to apathy at this point.
Half-heartedly she opened the package. "Oh..." she whispered under her breath. "It's that game system I ordered....I forgot about it." Her petite fingers brushed against the package of the DSi, and the Nintendogs game she had purchased with it. It was stupid, and she knew that it was nothing like owning a real dog...but it would be nice to play. Olivia was not a gamer, but it was hard to resist a game that was nothing but puppies.
Her mood shifted slightly, but for the better. Damon. "I still need to bother him," she said to herself. She was really wanting a dog, and needed to spend time with Damon's dog, Belle, to really decide on that factor.
"I should call him today...or see if I can run into him somewhere..." She paused for a moment, mentally deciding what she was going to do. Suddenly, she jumped up on her feet, dropping the package on the couch on her way to her own bedroom. Time to fix this self-made disaster and face the day head on!
