Olivia's hands grasped tightly to her shoulder bag's strap, weighing her down with the amount of books shoved in it. She had been so absorbed in finding new books at the book store that she had stayed out way too late. Being chased out of the store after close, she struggled to keep herself even on her way home to her little apartment.

"Ugggh, damn it," she grumbled, setting the bag down to catch her breath. She was going to have to pace herself. No more buying books in crazy binges. Otherwise she was going to break her back trying to haul her loads home. With a tired sigh, she pulled the bag's strap on her shoulder again, her SH uniform a little wrinkled and askew from the effort it took to carry the bag. Next time she was going to do this, she had to go home and change first before nearly ruining her uniform. Sigh. Hopefully it would iron out alright.

Absorbed in her thoughts, and figuring that there was nearly no one around her, she struggled on her way home, not necessarily quiet about it.

Bixbyite was on the prowl. Why, exactly, she'd chosen to prowl near the book store was a bit of a mystery though. Privately, she figured that this would make an easy night for her. She could always catch one of the employees as they left for the night, after all.

And that's when she saw the weighted down customer leaving. After a moment's study, the tiny lieutenant came to the conclusion that this girl would be even easier prey than a store employee. Concentrating for a moment to summon her ribbon, she quickly followed after, careful to keep her steps light and quiet in the snow. Now, how best to get close enough without an alarm being raised? With a smile, she flicked the ribbon out, aiming for the girl's ankle. As weighed down and off balance as she looked, it ouldn't take much to throw that balance completely off. And then Good Samaritan Bixbyite would be there to help.

Upon feeling something brushing up against her ankle, Olivia freaked. She squealed as she tripped, landing hard on her side. Her bookback didn't really break the fall, as the awkward bulging of the books only hurt more. As the bag fell, a variety of the books slid out from the open top and slid on the cold concrete.

"Owww," Olivia cringed as she felt her hip throb. That was going to bruise, and not in a pretty way. What was that? Part of her didn't even want to know, it was probably some sort of bug or branch or...were there snakes out here? She shuddered just thinking about it.

"Oh, no," she gasped, looking at how some of the books were splayed out. "Ohhh, I hope they're not ruined," she mumbled as she sat herself up. The dim lighting that the street lights offered made it too hard to see if they were getting wet from the snow or if pages were still intact on the ones that had opened up.

Quickly stashing away the ribbon and pulling her face into a properly sympathetic expression, Bixbyite hurried over to the girl.

"Oh my, are you all right?" she called out, voice oozing concern. Just a little closer, she thought, reaching a hand out to grab the girl's arm as if to help her up. "Here, let me help you."

Now, provided the girl didn't fuss, and Bixbyite herself could remember how to properly siphon energy, she'd soon be the proud owner of an energy orb.

"Oh?" Olivia hadn't realized that there was someone behind her. That made this whole situation even more embarrassing. The fact that she had squealed so long, and someone had heard that! "Oh, well, thank you," she said, trying to be polite to the kind girl that was helping her, but her eyes kept glancing back at her brand new stack of books that was quickly being ruined. All she could really think about was trying to save them.

"Hold on," Livy blurted out, bending down to grab her books before they got past the point of complete ruin and 'into the recycle bin they go'.

Hold on? As if! Bixbyite snorted and decided that she'd been nice enough for one night. Placing a hand firmly on the other girl's shoulder, she closed her eyes and concentrated on drawing the energy out. Almost immediately, she felt the orb form and slowly grow as more energy was pulled from the girl.

Well, she thought, this is much easier than I had expected. Now if only the girl would just stay nice and quiet and play with her books. Why, that would make Bixbyite's night just about perfect!

Something didn't feel right. She hadn't really done much with this senshi thing since that one amazing girl and that cat had shown up and saved her butt. At night...was this the beginning of a pattern? Her mind raced as she felt herself growing fatigued. Was this...someone related to that beast she had seen? Would she find herself hurt badly like Corvus had been?

Panic soon gripped at her heart. Would it be okay to henshin up right here? Now? ....Did she have much of a choice? Hopefully the girl hadn't caught a glimpse of her face. There was no where to run off and do it. If she was...oooh, she wasn't starting to feel good.

Having hashed a plan together on the whim of the moment, she grabbed one of her wet books, mentally apologized to it, and swirled around, attemping to hit the girl with the paperback book. Hoping that her long hair would cover her face and give her a small moment of freedom, Olivia gripped her pen she kept close to her chest, and uttered the words that she could never forget.

"Galatea Star Power, Make up!"

For one dazed moment, Bixbyite wasn't entirely sure which surprised her more. The soggy book that slammed into her nose or that the girl she'd been so blithely draining was apparently a senshi. Blinking furiously to clear the tears of pain from her eyes as she stumbled and landed on her a**, she could only hope that she'd be able to pay this senshi back in full. Pity that she hadn't gotten a clear look at the girl's face though. She'd have had valuable information to take back. Ah well.

Harder to bear was that the energy sphere she'd been making had been burst when her nose made friends with a book.

"Jesus Goddamn Christ," she muttered as she got back to her feet and dusted snow from her skirt. "You couldn't have just stayed nice and quiet for a few more moments."

Once she felt steady again, she gingerly touched her nose and winced as it throbbed warningly.

"Oh, you are going to pay for that, you crazy b***h."

The calming sensation that overtook her when she henshined up didn't last long. Reality sank in, and she felt herself grow cold. What was she going to do now? Trying to look confident, Sailor Galatea knew she probably looked like a joke.

Of course, when Galatea heard someone cuss at her, she stopped feeling quite to scared and was a little mad herself now.

With a grunt, she glared at the girl, getting a first, real good look at her. It was hard to think of someone as an enemy, but there could be no coincidence between meeting her and suddenly feeling exhausted.

"What...what were you doing?" she asked, a touch of fear creeping into her voice. She gripped her hands together on her chest, trying to make herself look more confident, but unwilling to move her arms.

"Well, I was trying to siphon just a bit of your energy," Bixbyite replied in a scathing voice as she began to warily circle the senshi. "I would have left you alive and gone on my way, but no. You had to panic and make life more difficult for both of us."

Even as she spoke, she was summoning her ribbon to her hand, winding it through her fingers as she considered her opponent. She heard the note of fear and decided that this one couldn't have been a senshi for very long if just a bit of energy siphoning freaked her out that much. And an inexperienced senshi meant a potential bit of fun if she was smart.

"All right, senshi," she began slowly, grinning wickedly, "let's see what you can do."

And with that, she launched herself at the other girl, fist aimed for the taller girl's nose or jaw.

Galatea knew she wasn't in the best spot, but she wasn't just going to let someone...someone steal her energy! Feeling like a shark was swirling around her, she knew she had to do something. She just...wasn't sure what exactly.

Oh man she needed to find Corvus again to help her. Later. If she survived this.

Crack! While Galatea was worrying, she wasn't paying enough attention to the sudden battle that was on her hands. She fell backwards, blood oozing from her nose. She jumped when she realized it was her's, true fear overtaking her senses. It suddenly made everything feel that much more real.

Wiping her nose with her bare arm, Galatea stumbled back to her feet, her heels clicking on the cold concrete. This wasn't going to be a good night.

She glared at the girl, but Galatea's good nature restricted her from bringing up any words that she felt she could speak. Instead, she did her best to ignore her throbbing nose and summoned for her shield.

"Galatea Stone Shield!" As soon as it had materialized, Galatea felt a bit safer, but her energy was not going to hold it up for very long, between the busted nose and this....girl's earlier attack.

Grinning even more as her fist connected so nicely with the senshi's nose, Bixbyite did a little, mad victory dance in the snow. At the senshi's glare, Bixbyite wriggled in fingers in a sort of wave and blew the senshi a kiss.

"That's just a taste of what I can do to you, girl," she taunted. And then watched in mild dismay as the senshi, Galatea?, summoned a shield for herself. Oh that was SO not fair! "Awww, is the widdle senshi afwaid of fighting?" she called out mockingly, voice full of scorn.

Circling girl and shield, Bixbyite tested it carefully, rapping against the shield with her ribbon handle. It was solid and well constructed. For now. But thanks to her fight with the late Guneus, she knew that these attacks required energy. Energy that this Galatea was going to have a hard time keeping up thanks to Bixbyite's earlier siphoning.

Remembering Guneus, Bixbyite thought of how much she'd enjoyed ripping his starseed from his chest. How she'd enjoyed taunting and torturing him with it before finally taking it away and leaving him to die alone. The memory warmed her and made her eyes suddenly focus on Galatea with a frightening intensity.

"Your starseed is mine, Senshi," she called softly before using her ribbon as a jumprope to wile away the time. "I'm a patient girl. You go right on and waste your energy on that shield. It'll just make things that much easier for me."

(I realize that Bixbyite/Sinfin is gone, but I just wanted to finish up this roleplay...even if I am super-duper late.)

Galatea could feel her energy feeding the shield. She had called it too early, and it was going to be her undoing. She wasn't sure what she should do, but she kept the shield between her and the strange, angry girl. It made her nervous, not knowing exactly what was going on. All that Galatea knew was that she needed to escape, preferably before her energy ran out. It wouldn't do any good to pass out and give herself over to this...enemy?

"Enemy.." she said with a touch of disbelief. It hadn't really hit her until she felt the bitterness of the girl hit her like a wave. This...was just how it was, wasn't it? Galatea didn't know how to swallow it, but she wasn't ready to be claimed here.

Would throwing something again work? Probably not. She didn't have much else to throw at her anyway. Her shield wouldn't last...it would shatter once she let it go, wouldn't it? Leaving her open...but perhaps open to run away, too.

"No," she said to herself more than anything. "I can't lose it now." She peeled the shield off of her, feeling it crack as it lost its connection to her. She threw it at the girl, but it crumbled as soon as it left her fingers. There was nothing but a thin wall of dust between them.

She didn't care. She knew she was as good as dead, but she wasn't going to face it. Instead, she ran, tears streaming from her eyes from the fear she felt in her heart.

She wasn't cut out for this.
