>> Belinda's Journal <<

"Hmmm... Well, this is a journal, right? So I should write in it. That's what journals are for. In any case, I shall start by introducing myself. My name is Belinda Malikov. I am an Eilian. Which means that I am not human. But besides that, I'm perfectly normal. Sure, I may have sheep ears and a sheep tail, but that's normal for me. So shut up. Some people think badly of my kind, but I don't really understand why. I suppose that people are intolerant of those who are 'different.' I don't know. I've experienced a lot of injustice in my life, I can tell you that. I can also tell you that those who've crossed my path and have rubbed me the wrong way have seen the gesture repaid in full. Sometime my Russian heritage really comes in handy.

Anyway, I digress. It has been so busy and hectic around the house that it's difficult to find time to relax. I could barely find time to write in here! I've babysat before when I was younger and it was a handful, but it's nothing compared to the full time job. From what I understand, Llujah is a combination of the DNA of the angel of Diligence and the demon of Greed, and most regular toddlers are hyper as it is. So add those together and you get a hyper toddler to the tenth degree that wants everything he sees at that moment. Being a mother is so much harder than I thought.

To be honest, though, Llujah is an even better son than I imagined. When I went to pick him up at the Facility, I had no idea what to expect. My hands were almost trembling as I turned off the car engine and stepped out into the parking lot. My breathing was fast-paced and my heart was pounding. I couldn't believe I was actually getting my first child! I've been wanting a child for so long, but being married and tied down isn't exactly my way of living, so this was practically a dream come true. Somehow though, as I approached the building, it began to feel less like a dream and more like a nightmare. There was something ominous about that place, like some kind of unspeakable evil was lurking inside.

My spirits were lifted though by a little figure standing in the doorway. He was small and skinny, though not so skinny as to look frail. His hair was bright pink with tinges of light purple in strands. As I got closer, I could see two small wings coming from his waist. That struck me right there as odd, but I pushed that fact aside for a moment and examined the rest of the little... boy? It took me a minute to figure out that this little toddler was a boy with his girlish clothes. He had on a pink and black sweater, a small black skirt, and large black boots. 'So my child is a cross-dresser. I can live with that,' I thought.

I got even closer and saw more strange things: a smallish reptilian tail, two green gems on the boy's forehead and tail, two small horns, and two... halos, it looked like. All of these things were... different, but I didn't faze away. This was my new child, and I was determined to be the best mother possible. After what seemed an eternity, I stood in front of the boy. His small tail was twitching and his wings fluttering restlessly. He was bouncing up and down on his toes and it seemed to pain him to be stationary for so long. I stood in front of him for a few seconds and he stared at me. I smiled it him. 'Hey there. I guess I'm your new mama. Should we get going?' The boy bounced up and down with sheer delight and grinned. 'Yeah! Yoo're my mama! My name's Llujah! I'm real real happy to gets a mama!' Without warning, the toddler ran up and grabbed me around the legs in a sort of a hug. I smiled and bent down to hug him back. We stayed in that hug for a minute until I remembered that we should be heading home. I tried to scoop him up in my arms, but he wriggled out of my grasp and ran off towards the parking lot. I ran after him and eventually caught up to him at my car. My heart was pounding again and my breathing was heavy. I laughed a little and propped him into the car, making sure that the seat-belt was fastened good and tight. There was no way I was letting my new child get hurt. No freaking way. We drove home and I could feel a small spark in my heart. I finally had a child.

And that's how I got my little Llu. I gotta say, being a mother is the hardest thing I think I've ever done, but it's the best one, too. I want to do my best to be a good mother to my son. Of course, that also means no more violent video games for a while and definitely no swearing. That's.. gonna be kind of tough. But it's all for Llujah's benefit. If he grows up to be a happy and well-learned adult, I'll have done my job. But enough of that. I think Llujah's gone and broken something again. Probably a dish or something. I have to go now!"

- Easy as 123 -

Llujah's eyes were glued to the television screen as a kid's show played on it. Belinda was singing to herself a song she heard from a movie as she was making a pie. "Baby, don't you cry, gonna make a pie, gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle... Baby, don't be blue, gonna bake for you, hold you forever in the middle of my heart..." As she baked, Llu watched the cartoons on the screen singing about the numbers and he stumbled over the words as he tried to sing along. Belinda smiled as she looked over to her son and she walked over to him. "Llu, sweetie, you wanna learn your numbers? I can teach you that!" Llujah smiled at his mother and his tail began twitching excitedly. "Yeah! I wanna learn, mama! You can teach me?!" Belinda laughed as she turned off the television. "Of course, sweetheart!" She and the toddler sat down on the carpet and began.

"So Llujah. This is the number "vone." Can you say "vone?" Belinda wrote out the number on a piece of paper and showed it to Llu, who looked at it curiously. "V... vone?" Belinda chuckled. "No, no... With a 'whhh' sound. 'Whhh.' Like that. Whhone." Llujah narrowed his eyes and focused on the shape of the number. "Whhhone. One. One!" He giggled and his mother smiled. "That's very good, Llu! Now..." She wrote the number 2 on the paper. "This is two." "Two," Llu parroted back and giggled some more. Belinda giggled along with him and soon they were both laughing. Once they had stopped, Belinda smiled at Llujah. "Shall we keep going?" The toddler gave his mother a large grin. "Yeah!"

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

>> Belinda's Journal <<

"I have enrolled Llu into elementary school. It's strange, walking into a public school for the first time. I'm an adult: you'd think I would know what the inside of a school looked like. Of course, I've never exactly had to go to school. I was home-schooled by my family. I wouldn't exactly say I could have been better off, but my Llu deserves a proper education, and he needs to go out into the world and make friends. If that calls for draining my savings and having to work double-time at the vet's office, so be it. It's worth it for my Llu.

Since the school year is already over, I had to call up the school's principal for a meeting over the weekend when I had a more lenient shift. We pulled into the school's parking lot and as I was unbuckling Llujah's seat-belt, I smiled. 'Now, Llu, we're going to be talking to your principal. She's like the end boss of the school.' [Here I use video game terms to help Llu comprehend what I'm saying. I swear, video games are all he can understand.] 'You have to be very nice and respectful to her, or you'll get into trouble. Okay?' Llujah looked at me curiously and grinned. 'Mmkay, mama!' I locked the car and, while holding Llu's hand, we both walked into the school.

It was... interesting, walking into a public school for the first time. The walls were brightly colored and were covered with bulletin boards and sloppily made pictures from the students. As we proceeded to the principal's office, I couldn't help but peek into the classrooms as we walked by. Most of the walls were covered by plastic for the summer, but some of brightly painted parts could still be seen. We passed by a large cafeteria that was completely empty. The lights were dimmed and it seemed almost eerie to look at. Finally, we reached a hallway and, off to the right, we could see the principal's office. I took a deep breath and looked down at Llu. He seemed happy and confident for whatever lay ahead. I wished that I could have felt the same.

We opened the door and there was the head honcho of the school, sitting at her polished oak wood desk. In front of her were two chairs: one for me, one for Llujah. She smiled charmingly as we walked in. 'Ah, you must be miss...' I smiled awkwardly. 'Malikov.' The woman laughed a bit. 'Malikov, yes. Excuse me.' She motioned to the two chairs in front of her. I took the left one while I seated Llujah on the right. The principal smiled kindly and grabbed a small wrapped hard candy from a glass bowl on her desk and held it out to Llu. 'Would you like a piece of candy?' Llujah instantly snatched the candy from the woman's hands and stuck it into his mouth, throwing the wrapper away in the nearby trash can. I smiled at him. 'Llu, dear, what do we say?' Llujah nodded to me and smiled at the principal. 'T'ank 'oo!' The woman laughed and smiled. 'You're welcome.' Inside, I grimaced. This was not starting out as a good impression.

The principal pulled out a file from under her desk and placed it on top. She opened it and began to read. I felt so nervous. After a minute or two, she looked up at me. 'Well, miss Malikov, I do believe that we can fit Llujah here into our school. Of course, he will learn basic reading and grammar skills, history, arithmetic, science, and social studies.' She placed her elbows on her desk and clasped her hands, setting her chin down on them. 'We have a flexible standard curriculum, and there are basic rules that he must follow, but those shall be revealed to you when they become relevant.' As she spoke, I couldn't help but think that this woman might have been a lawyer or something to that effect before she became a teacher. 'Now,' she continued, 'I have a few more forms for you to fill out, so if you could...' She handed me a pen and I took it, leaning over the papers. Llu was starting to become bouncy, I could tell, so I tried to fill out the forms as fast as I could.

Once the papers were full to the brim with pen ink, I sat back in my chair and the principal slid the papers into the manila file. She smiled at me, but it was not very reassuring. 'Very good. Now, there's something else I would like to talk to you about. It's your son's... condition.' As she spoke, she pulled out another file that looked to be related to the Facility. I felt a lump in my throat. 'In this school, we have a strict policy about student behavior. I'm concerned that Llujah may pose to be a... a bit of a distraction.' I narrowed my eyes slightly. My ears were pointed back. 'We have had a few other children with his condition in the school, and we know about their origins and their behaviors, but I'm telling you now as a warning.' She looked up at me. Some of the kindness in her eyes was gone. 'If he cannot learn to control himself, I'm afraid he won't be able to stay here.' I nodded. 'I understand.' The principal smiled again. 'Excellent. You may go now. I'll send you a letter in the next few days.' I smiled as I walked out the door with Llujah's hand in mine. 'Thank you. We shall keep in touch!'

I walked out of that school as quickly as I could with Llu in tow. As soon as we exited the building, I felt that I could finally catch my breath. It felt like a prison in there! We walked to the car and I strapped Llujah in. I started the engine and we began to drive away. Llu smiled at me. 'I bet school's gonna be lots of fun!' I smiled and nodded, wishing that I could feel the same way."

>> Llujah's Journal <<

"Hellooooo, journal! I'm so happy! My mama got me this journal for me to write in! It's so cool! Though, I gotta wonder why she gave it to me in the first place. I mean, I haven't been that good lately... Whatever. In any case, it's nice just to receive things for no reason! This journal is super neat, too. It's got a pretty pink cover and a pen with pink feathers and sparkles on it that came with it! My mama says that journals are for writing in about anything that I want, like things I like, things I don't like, stuff that happened to me, stuff I want to happen... All that stuff. The thing is, I don't really know what to write about! I guess... I could write about what I'm thinking about.

I could write about school, I guess. I'm excited for school. I want to make a lot of friends and I want to know a bunch of stuff! The only thing I'm worried about is bullies. My mama told me a bunch of times already that if I'm getting bullied, I should tell the teacher or her immediately, 'cause bullying is really really bad. I'm scared for that. I know that, like, all of the kids at my school aren't like me... They don't have wingies or tails or any bits like that. I'm scared that they'll make fun of me for it... If they steal my halos, I'm gonna kill something. But I hope I'll make some friends.

I already have a bunch of friends, though, like Fitzyroy and Adelle and Pippin. Fitzyroy is so cool! He's got an awesome tummy-mouth named Pac-Man that noms on my fingers. It's so cool. Plus, when I first met him at an arcade, he gave me this sweet Chain-Chomp keychain bracelet! I wear it all the time! I'm wearing it right now! Adelle is so, so, so, so, so pretty and cool! She's got these metal-y wings that are a little like mine, but a bunch bigger. She's only got three fingers on one hand. It's kind of weird. But Adelle is really neat. She bought this really pretty dress and some cute pants! Pippin is so much fun! I met him at an amusement park and we went on a super big roller coaster ride and played DDR. He's kind of a nerd, but he's really nice and sweet.

I guess that's enough writing for now. My hand is starting to hurt. So whatever. I want to make new friends and that's what I'm gonna do. Goodbyeeeee, journal!"
