Fifth was actually enjoying himself as he idled about in his little, brightly painted room, a small gaming device in his hands. There were a few times in this game of his where his illiteracy was becoming a problem but, at the same time, he wasn't having a lot of trouble getting over that fact. Grinning with those sharp teeth of his, he played that poor game like his life depended on it. Not to mention that, just as a random fact, he'd bought the gaming system with money that he was supposed to be using to help fund his classes. Not that it was money he needed. When the game finally died, he yelled at it and threw it into a corner in which there was a pile of pillows [y'know, in case he got tired].

The other things for today's lesson, however, had come from his own pocket. What he had was an old karaoke machine and a stack of different kinds of CDs, all ranging in their musical qualities. After all, if someone couldn't sing opera, that didn't at all mean that they couldn't rap or couldn't sing heavy metal music. Or, well, scream it. Grumbling about hos stupid his game was, the gryphon finally got off his numb butt and started setting up things for the class. Stupid, dumb Gameboy...

Gabriel was sadly neglected at this point by just about everyone. His brother had gone to investigate the little gaming thingy while Gabriel was stuck staring into the little hand mirror that had been tacked onto the wall, grooming himself and making various different expressions in it like the little prideful boy that he was.

Llujah was, needless to say, excited. It was his first class ever and he was going to learn to sing! He had listened to a bunch of songs from his CDs that his mother had bought for him, but he didn't sing all that much. Maybe now he could actually learn! He wandered among the cold halls of the Facility, looking for the classroom where he was supposed to be. All of the doors and hallways looked the same; how was Llu supposed to know where to go? Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of searching, the child reached a door that was friendlier than the rest of the doors. He took a chance and went in.

Llu found himself in a brightly colored room that, in comparison to the bleakness of the halls outside, made the child's eyes water slightly. He looked about the room and laid eyes on a ... weird looking older man standing around, fiddling with this and that. Llujah walked up to him and said in a nervous voice, "H-heya, Mr. Fifth! I'm here for my class!" As soon as he finished talking, Llujah caught sight of someone familiar: that little toddler he saw at the playground, Gabriel! Llu grinned and ran over to the little boy, almost knocking him over in a hug. "Hey, I remember you from the playground! Do you remember me?"

After its last paint job, Fifth's room was now covered in very colourful dinosaurs; it was a nice job, really, done by a girl named Bleez. Fifth looked up from plugging in the karaoke machine and waved at Llujah idly before going back to what he was doing. He'd noticed that Llu seemed more interested in Gabriel for the time being, and given as Fifth didn't have the stupid machine set up yet, that wasn't much of a problem.

Despite having been grooming himself at the time, Gabriel was still very happy to be half-tackled by his older friend. Squealing happily, he hugged her around the waist and snuggled against his Holly-friend happily. "Hihi Howwy!! 'Couwse I wemembew you fwom dha pwaygwound!!" he said happily, smiling all big at the female and wiggling his tail back and forth, headwings and ears perked up and happy. "It's good to see you 'gain!!"

Llujah was, indeed, excited to see his younger friend again. They had had much fun at the playground and Llujah had wanted to see him and play with him again. But all the same, Llu wasn't quite sure why Gabriel and Damien were here when Llu was about to take a class... That wasn't important. What was was that Llu got to see Gabriel again. The child wagged his tail and fluttered his wings happily while hugging his young friend, still unsure why he continued to call him "Holly," but he let it pass.

"Mmhmm! It was lotsa fun at the playground, huh? It's cool to see you again! And..." Llujah smiled. "I gotta ask, why are you an' Damien here? Like, I know Mr. Fifth is your daddy, but can't you just stay home? It's not like I don't want ya here..." Llujah giggled. "I'm real happy that you're here! But I'm just wonderin'."

"Mmhmm, i'was fun!! Wotsa, wotsa fun!!" Gabriel squealed while he continued to happily snuggle against his pink-and-purple haired friend, glad to be in his company again and glad that Daddy had taken them to work instead of making them have to sit and sell things again. His tail flipped back and forth behind him excitedly. Even if Holly would have to go back and learn, this was still really, really great!!

The question took him off-guard just a little bit, mostly because it seemed to come out of nowhere. He smiled a bit and tipped his head, the lower headwing and ear tipping over a bit. "We don' have a howse. Daddy's gang wives in a 'pawtment, but dhere's not awways woom, an' some dha pe-po awe bad, so we can't stay dhewe awone," Gabriel explained, as though it was the most normal thing in the world. Fifth, on the other hand, didn't quite liking this being common information.

"Er, hey, Llujah. I've got this all set up here if you wan'na pick one of those CDs over there," Fifth said kindly, gesturing the boy toward the nearby table of CDs. But of course, Gabriel was first. "No, do dis on, do dis one!!" he said happily as he pulled a CD out of the middle of a stack, causing it to topple as he ran over and pushed the CD into the player, the music starting up shortly afterward.

'I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord,
But you don't really care for music,
Do you?'

Llujah giggled as Gabriel snuggled him and he held the toddler close. When he heard mention of a gang, however, he pulled back suddenly and looked at the toddler with wide eyes. "W-wait, what?! What?!" Llu stared in disbelief and slight horror when he realized that Gabriel referred to it as "Daddy's gang," meaning that it was Mr. Fifth's gang. The boy shrunk back slightly at hearing Fifth talk and then instantly regretted it. With what stories he had heard from kids at school, Llu knew that gangs, especially gang leaders, were powerful, and the last thing he wanted was to be on a gang leader's bad side. But Mr. Fifth seemed nice enough...

Llujah was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of the music playing. He recognized the song, and chuckled at the thought that Gabriel chose that song on purpose because of his name. "I know that song! It's 'Hallelujah!'" He smiled and began humming along to the music, then turning to Fifth. "So... are we gonna practice singin', then?"

Gabriel was too distracted to have heard Llujah's shock, humming with the music until he remembered, turning around and giving his skirt-wearing friend a large smile. "Hm? Oh, yeah, um, Daddy's god'da big ow' gang wif wotsa pe-po that do eeevewyfing fow him, but Daminen an' I can't stay dewe 'cause dey might w--" as soon as he reached that point, Fifth's hand was pressed across his loud mouth, a large, sheepish, 'nothing-to-see-here-folks' grin coupling the faint redness on his cheeks.

"No more of that, Gabriel, time for Llujah to work on his skill, alright? You go preen in the mirror and we'll pretend that my home life is not yet common knowledge, okay?" he said sweetly, his voice lowering to a grumbling whisper by the end of the statement, shooing Gabriel off into the corner. The toddler grumbled unhappily, returning to the mirror in a very sulky way as Fifth rolled his eyes, resetting the song and pausing it, making sure that the lyrics and everything were working properly.

"Ah, yeah. That's what I was planning, at the very least. And considering you know this song, that's a good place to start," the man said with a smile, handing his student the microphone. "The play button is on the side; feel free to start whenever you want to."

Llujah stared at Gabriel as he prattled on so casually about his father's gang. Was... Was it okay for him to be saying all of this? The spawn guessed not, considering that Mr. Fifth seemed to be pretty flustered about Gabriel saying all of this stuff. Llu could only assume what the Pride spawn was going to say next and he was grateful when Fifth hushed him and continued on with the lesson. Llu smiled, embarrassed, at Gabriel and then turned back to Fifth, taking the microphone.

Llu smiled at Fifth and nodded compliantly. "Mmkay! This button here?" He pointed to the button on the microphone and pressed it. Almost immediately, the song began playing in soft instrumental tones. Llu concentrated on the lyrics in his head and he took a breath. Knowing this song already helped him focus.

"I've heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord, but you don't really care for music do you?"

The words flowed out of his mouth as he sang along to the song. After the measure played out, occasionally Llu had to stop and remember which set of lines was sung next. He continued on with a steady voice.

"It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift, the baffled king composing hallelujah.

Hallelujah, hallelujah... Hallelujah, hallelujah~"

"Yeah, yeah, it's that button," Fifth replied rather distractedly to the skirted male, moving back to where Gabriel was to quietly speak to the boy about what he was supposed to not say to other people, considering the fact that he did not want his twins taken away from him, as much trouble as he had taking care of them. Despite needing to lecture the little pride spawn, he did make sure to keep one lion-like ear tipped back toward the other, listening to his singing, what was on, and what was off.

By the end of the song, he was finished with the little patience boy, who looked rather cross as he sat in the corner unhappily. ignoring the disapproval of his son, Fifth clapped his large hands together softly, smiling at the girly boy. "Nice work, 'Llujah. Though, make sure to keep your voice in one octave -one range of notes, instead of going too high or too low- and try not to let it crack. It only happened once, but it's one of few things that you have to work on. Want to try the same song again, or would you like to try something else?"
