It wasn't the most pristine of playgrounds, to be sure, but it was at least hygienic. Complete with a large jungle gym, a swing set, and a spacious field, it was a haven for little kids to play on. Llujah ran about the jungle gym, wings fluttering and tail twitching away. Both of Llu's prominent features had gotten noticeably larger over the last short while, and their new size was slightly uncomfortable for the child. It did not matter to him though: what mattered was that it was a beautiful day and it was the perfect weather for him to wear his new outfit. He sported a loose long-sleeve shirt with musical notes designed into it and a pink pleated skirt. The whole ensemble, along with his... rather brightly colored hair, made him a sight to behold.
Llujah ran about the gym, giggling and bounding away. He ran around to the stairs of the jungle gym and proceeded to climb them. He reached the top and ran across the gym to the top of the slide, where he climbed up to sit on the rim. From here, he had an excellent vantage point of the rest of the playground from the gym to the swings over to the end of the field. He laughed and kicked his feet up in the air. He felt like a king up here, on top of the world!

At this point, Gabriel was practically dragging his Daddy to the playground, Fifth kind of fighting against the grip of the toddler in a mostly playful manner as he made sure that Damien was keeping up with the both of them, or at least walking at the same pace that he was. When they were close enough, Fifth let his barely-the-oldest go, watching him run off like the spazz that he was and jump up the playset without any form of hesitancy, the younger of the two not seeming anywhere near as excited to be here.
Tail flicking back and forth excitedly, Gabriel crawled up the playground, half the time on his hands and knees, and was doing his very best to get as high as he could. After all, he deserved to have a throne at the very tippy-top of the playground, and he would more certainly have it. Finally, after what seemed like hours of climbing up and up and up, the rainbow-haired little boy found the highest point, though he was unable to actually get to it. Instead, he was on the slide, stretching his arms up and whimpering softly, jumping a bit, but afraid to fall.
That was when he noticed there was another child atop the playground, up where he was supposed to be. Donning his cutest, most pitiful face, both his ears and his headwings drooping back, he stretched his green-tipped fingers up as high as they could go. "Need hewp up, pwease...!"

Llujah hummed to himself and swung his legs on the slide when he heard a small voice behind him. He turned around, slightly surprised, to see a little boy with green-tipped fingers, rainbow hair, and a pitifully adorable look on his face. With such a cute expression, Llu couldn't help but smile at the little boy. "Aw, of course I'll help ya! Come 'ere!" With that, Llujah reached down and gently but firmly grabbed the boy from under his arms and lifted him up onto his lap.
"So," Llujah said to the odd little boy, "What's your name? My name's Llujah! And you have real real pretty headwings!" Llu petted the boy's headwings delicately and smiled while twitching his tail happily. Such a cute little boy!

Gabriel squeaked very happily when he was helped up, helping to pull himself on top of the slide casing as best as he could. When he was up there and nestled in the other's lap, he wiggled a bit, his own tail flipping to and fro very happily. He smiled all big when the other was introduced, ears twitching and headwings standing up high and excited. "Wike Howwywujah!!" he squeaked. He knew that word!! And the other spawn was named after it? That was so neat!! It meant the spawn was in songs!! How unfair was that?!
When the headwings were pet, they pressed against Gabriel's hair out of habit, twitching a bit at how much the touches tickled their delicate frames. "I'm Gabwiew. My bwuvvew Daminen is ovew dewe. He's not vewy fun sometimes, but he's weaw nice," Gabriel explained with a bit of a smile before noticing that this other spawn was in very feminine clothing, but didn't look like most females he knew. At least, not like Ebony. But only girls wore skirts - that much he was sure of. "What kinda giw'l awe you?"

Llujah giggled at the odd little boy. He was so adorable! He continued to stroke the boy's headwings gently and smiled. "Mmhmm! Like hallelujah! That's where my name comes from!" Llu was impressed by this little toddler: he figured that one out all by himself! He must be pretty smart. Llujah wanted to have smarts like this toddler when he was younger. Maybe then he would be even smarter now!
"Gabriel, huh? That's a real nice name! It's pretty special-soundin'!" Llujah looked over in the direction that Gabriel mentioned and caught sight of a little boy that did look to be related to Gabriel, but not by much. He wasn't quite sure how twins were supposed to work... How can you have two babies at the same time? It didn't make sense! But Llu was wheeled back into reality by Gabriel's question. He smiled at the little toddler. "Well, I'm not a girl. I'm a boy, but I like to wear girl clothes!"

Gabriel smiled happily at the attention and the affection and especially the pets, at which his pointed ears bent back a little bit, much like the ears of a contented feline. Despite the petting, no matter how many times the other pet down his hair, the two little curls on the very top continued to spring up time and time again. The little boy's tail flicked a bit and he wiggled his dinosaur-like toes happily, though it was for want of attention at the same time. It was more out of happiness when they started gently kneading the lid on the slide.
"Yup!! It's the bestest name in the entiwe wowd!!" Gabriel stated happily, bouncing just a little bit in Llujah's lap. When Llujah looked at his brother, the little boy smiled happily. "MmHmm, we'we twins. We gots, up, the same haiw cuwls, mos'ly, an' we boff have wingies on ouw heads! And taiws!!" he said all of this very happily as his own tail flicked around. When his question was answered, his eyebrows knitted in confusion. "Um... 'kay." In his head, this Holly-llujah was still a girl.

Llujah couldn't stop smiling at the little boy on his lap. He was just so unimaginably cute it almost pained him! What was especially cute was they way he spoke with his "r" sounds sounding like the "w" sound. He seemed a little prideful though... Wait, was what the toddler's sin was? Pride? It would certainly make sense...
Llu giggled at Gabriel. "Yep! It's a real nice name!" The child glanced back over to the other twin, Damien, as Gabriel talked. They did both have the curls in their hair and well as the head-wings and they did have tails, but other than those similarities, there was almost nothing that was the same between the two. This gave Llujah another thought: if Gabriel's sin was Pride, would Damien's virtue be Humility? Or did it not work like that? Llujah's knowledge of the sins and virtues was fleeting, so the problem remained a mystery.

Gabriel smiled happily as his name was praised even more, wiggling around a bit and flicking his tail, both his right ear and right wing flicking gently, idly, in the silence that followed. But Gabriel didn't much like silence. Despite the patience blood that flowed through his veins, he didn't really like sitting still or sitting quiet, especially when there was him or something related to him to talk about.
"Come on, Howwy, come meet 'em!" Gabriel chirped happily, tugging the girl's hand and pulling her off the slide, which he promptly slid down without meaning to. Blinking his wide red eyes in confusion, he shrugged his shoulders and then took Llujah with him over the bench where his family was sitting. "Famiwy, dis is Howwywujah. Howwy, dis is Daddy, whose Fif', an' my bwuvvew Daminen. Say hewwo~"
Damien glanced up from his small pile of rusty nuts, which he had been stacking and restacking quite contentedly up until this point. His heterochromatic eyes looked the girl up and down, then wiggled two of his fingers in a greeting. She seemed... nice. Good enough for Gabriel, probably, though not for him. "'Lo." That being done, he returned to his little rusty things, convinced that was all she wanted to see of him.
Fifth, of course, smiled sweetly at the girl, though he did notice the difference and the fact that this wasn't actually a girl but a boy in girl's clothing, and he chuckled softly, smiling at this 'Holly'. "Hello, Holly. Nice to meet you."

Llujah cried out suddenly from shock as he was suddenly pulled down the slide. He followed Gabriel dutifully over to the bench where the toddler's family was. He raised an eyebrow at being called "Holly," but he didn't mind too much. Llu smiled at Damien, who seemed to be playing with rusty nails, and walked over to meet Gabriel's father.
"Hiya, Mr. Fifth," he greeted the... man. "My name's actually Llujah. It comes from the word 'hallelujah,' which I guess is where Gabriel got 'Holly' from..." Llujah chuckled bashfully. "Anyway, it's nice to meet you!" With that done, Llu walked back over to Damien and sat down beside him. He smiled at the little boy. "Hiya. Can I join you?"

Fifth nodded along with what the slightly older child was saying, making sure to take mental notes to that effect. "I'm sure he'll get better about that when he gets older; no reason to keep him from his silly nicknames now," Fifth stated idly, smiling and chuckling softly. "It is nice to meet you though, Llujah," he assured the young male, green eyes following the youth to where he knelt with his tail flicking back and forth. Coughing into his hand, he readjusted his eyesight. No, no, bad Fifth. No spawn for you.
Gabriel watched the interactions between Holly and the rest of his family a little bit blankly, but when Holly picked his brother over him, the boy drooped dramatically. His ears and his headwings both drooped down on his head and his face fell, eyes going to the ground as he kicked at it gently, trying to fend of tears that may or may not be fake as he wished that Holly would pay attention to him instead of his brother.
Damien looked at Llujah oddly when he asked to join him, as if he had suddenly started speaking alien. Who in their right minds would want to join him in anything, especially when Gabriel was right there? Baring his teeth a little, particularly because Gabriel was upset, he pointed one clawed finger firmly at his brother. "No. Pway wif Gabby. M' all icky." With that, he went back to his nonsense game, scooting a little closer to Fifth for the possibility of hiding behind his bulk. Join him... What was wrong with that kid?!

Llujah frowned a little. This kid.... just said he was icky?! What was wrong with him? Did he have an inferiority complex or something? When he bared his teeth slightly, Llu stepped back a bit, afraid that the little kid might try to bite him, and watched as Damien scooted away towards his father. Llu couldn't help but pout the slightest bit at the kid for not wanting to play with him, but that was when Llu noticed Gabriel on the verge of tears.
In a flash, Llujah bolted up from his sitting position and ran over to Gabriel. Oh God, oh God, what if I made him cry?! He quickly knelt down to the toddler's height and attempted to calm him with a hug. Llu wrapped his arms around Gabriel and held him close. "Shhh... Don't cry... It's gonna be all right..."

Fifth was admittedly a little bit upset with the behavior of both of his children, but he supposed that he should let it go, at least for now. They were still young and didn't know any better and likely wouldn't know any better, even if he told them. Sighing softly, he reached out to gently pet Damien's hair as he played with his rusty little pieces of metal. Of course, the man yanked his hand back when his son bit him, glaring slightly back at the angry growl he got. What was wrong with these children?!
When Holly ran back over to Gabriel, the boy forgave her immediately. Making a soft and semi-pitiful squeaking noise, he hugged the other back as tightly as his little arms could, ears perked up again while his headwings remained pressed back against his head. He snuggled against the older one and nodded a few times. "MmHmm," he mumbled, lifting a hand to wipe his eyes. "I'm okay now. See?"

Llujah was relieved that Gabriel wasn't upset or angry or anything of the sort. Above that, Llu was glad that the odd father, Fifth, did not seem to notice that his son was crying. The last thing Llujah wanted was to end up on bad terms with the strange man. He smiled at the toddler, picked up his hand, and led him over to the jungle gym. "C'mon! Let's go play on the playground, 'kay?" He giggled and led Gabriel off.
Llujah ran happily around the jungle gym, glad to be able to get up and move again. He ran over to the monkey bars and climbed on them for a little bit before jumping of and running towards the swings. He jumped onto the closest seat and started pumping his legs and swinging back and forth. After a minute or two, Llu got up high enough to see over the jungle gym back to where Fifth and Damien where. He yelled to Gabriel. "Come on, Gabriel! Come swing on the swings with me!"

Gabriel was very happy when the other seemed not to be bothered by his tears. Smiling, he stood back up, and nodded his complete and total agreement to going to play. However, he didn't know a lot about diligence children - he wasn't expecting the whirlwind that followed. He did what he could to keep up with the older one, toddling after her. However, once he reached the jungle gym, Llujah was gone. When he reached the monkey bars, Llujah was gone again. When he reached the swings, his dad was calling his name.
"s**t, s**t, shi- Gabriel, get back here right now! We have to get to a hospital -asmuchasIhatetosayit- right now!! Hurry up!!" Fifth shouted impatiently from beyond the playground as he slowly lost the feeling in his arm, from the fingertips on up. He'd had no idea that his stupid, ornery son was poisonous. He also had no idea how powerful it was, and the hospital was the best bet that he had at this point. Damien was busy crying, freaking out, and otherwise worrying over him, something that got the boy hefted up into Fifth's good arm. "GABRIEL. NOW."
Turning his big red eyes to Llujah, he smiled a little bit. "Sowwy, dat's me. Bye-bye, Holly!!" he said happily before running as fast as his legs could carry him after his hurrying-away father.

As he played on the swings, Llujah heard the voice of Fifth calling for Gabriel. He leaped off of the swing and skidded into the gravel, looking towards the direction of Fifth and Damien. Mr. Fifth... needed to go to the hospital?! Llu's eyes widened and his wings flapped in shock. He started towards Gabriel and Damien's father, then thought better of it when Gabriel ran to Fifth. He frowned, then smiled a large grin and waved. "Bye, Gabriel and Damien and mister Fifth!" He watched them walk away for a few seconds, then turned back to the jungle gym.
Llujah walked back to the slide, tail drooping slightly, and he seated himself on the top once more. He rested his chin in his hand and swung his legs over the rim of the slide. He was a king of the world, but he wished he could have ruled with someone else, too.
