Pippin's face twisted a bit and he swallowed hard. Once again his mother had pulled him out of the house and taken him somewhere she figured all normal little boys enjoyed: an amusement park. He saw all of the other kids having fun, but couldn't help but be a bit nervous, seeing all of the huge rides looming over.
"That one looks scary." he said, eying a large roller coaster that the park was mainly known for. "Can I go get a pretzel mother?" he asked, attempting to put of rides as long as possible. He would go eventually, just after his nerves settled a little bit.
"Oh course honey, go ahead." the blond woman said, pulling out a few dollars and handing it to her son before he walked over to the food stand and stood in the small line.

Llujah wandered about the park happily. It was his first time at an amusement park and he was determined to go on every single ride. After riding three of the rides one after the other, he decided he was hungry and was standing impatiently in line for a pretzel. He frowned at how slow the line was moving, despite it being rather small, and he fingered the five dollar bill in his right hand. Why couldn't this stupid line go any faster? He was hungry and wanted to eat now!
The child stood grumpily in line and bounced on his toes. His tail twitched and his wings flapped impatiently away as he stood in line. He could tell that his mother was getting impatient as well, even though she did not show it. Llujah groaned and folded his arms, frustrated, when a strange boy walked over and stood in line behind him. Llujah turned around and the first thing he saw were the boy's large gray head-wings. Llu grinned and reached out to feel the boy's wings. "Wow! You have such cool wing-a-lings!"

Pippin felt someone reaching for his headwings and looked up from spacing out. He saw what appeared to be a cute little girl looking at his feathers and giggled, "Thanks. Yours are neat too." he responded, noticing the tiny wings on her side. His wings were big and clumsy, but he bet she had no problem with hers.
He giggled again, his headwings had always been just a little bit ticklish, "You getting a pretzel too?" he asked, hoping his mother was seeing that he was being a social little boy today. He had been getting better, though at first he was always miserable. The youngster had always been reluctant to leave his home for some reason, but once he was out-and-about he usually made some friends.
"There's a lot to do here, have you gone on any rides? They look kind of scary." his face twisted a bit, his nerves rising just a bit once more.

Llujah giggled along with the strange boy as he petted his head-wings. He smiled at the compliment on his own wings and fluttered them happily. "Really? You like 'em? I love my wingies! They flap a lot when I'm excited and stuff!" Llujah wagged his tail along with his wings. He liked this new boy already! Plus his headwings were so cool! Llu wanted headwings, too!
He smiled at the odd boy, fingering his Chain Chomp keychain in his hands, having shoved the money in his skirt pocket. "Yeah, I'm gonna get a pretzel 'cause I'm hungry. And yeah, I've been on... three rides so far! They're so much fun!" Llu giggled girlishly and wagged his tail happily. Suddenly, he had a brainwave and he looked at the boy with wide eyes. "Hey! Why dontcha come ride the next one with me? We can sit together!"

"I don't really flap mine 'cause they're so big. They kinda get in the way sometimes." Pippin said a bit shyly. He always thought his headwings were a bit foolish, but other spawn usually liked them. He didn't mind of course, even when anyone found out that they were ticklish.
He nodded, shifting his weight to his right leg and sticking his hands in his pockets, [g]"Yeah, pretzels are really good. I like 'em." who didn't like pretzels? They were so good, especially when they came with cheese to dip in. "W-what? I-I dunno, a lot of those rides look like they go really fast, and are kind of scary. I've never been on anything like that." he frowned slightly, someone like Cody probably wouldn't wuss out like that, why did he always have to?
"Not sayin' I don't wanna sit with you though! Not at all!" Oh no oh no what if the other thought that's what he meant? "Oh, and my name's Pippin by the way!" he said, speaking rather quickly. How could he forget something like that? He was so foolish!

Llujah giggled at this Pippin boy. He seemed kind of nerdy, but he looked really fun, too! He smiled at him and his apparent fright of the rides. "C'mon, it'll be fun! And it'll be a lot less scary if it's two of us so you won't be alone!" Llu looked about and realized that it was his turn to buy a pretzel. He gave the vendor the five dollar bill and received his change and his pretzel. While nibbling on the warm dough, he stepped out of line to let Pippin go ahead while still sticking close to talk to him.
Llujah smiled at Pippin. "'Kay, after you're done with your pretzel, how 'bout we go on one of the really really big rides before the line get too big?" He giggled and swished his tail from side to side. "It'll be fun! Oh! And my name's Llujah!"

At least the girl didn't seem offended in any way. That was a good thing, right? He didn't want to offend everyone after all. "Yeah, I guess things are better when you have someone with." he liked being alone sometimes, but figured it would be good to hang out with new people anyways.
After the girl had gotten her pretzel he paid the pretzel-man and received his own, making sure to get some cheese to go with. He followed Llujah out of line and over to a table where they could both sit and eat for now, setting down his cheese and sitting. He dipped the pretzel, taking the first delicious bite.
"A... big one?" he swallowed nervously, not quite sure about a big one. But he didn't want to hold the other back... oh dear.

Llujah giggled at Pippin while taking big bites out of the pretzel. He spoke once he had swallowed a large chunk. "Yeah! A big one! Like... Um..." Llu looked around to see if he could spot a large coaster to ride on when he laid eyes on a very big coaster that towered over the others. It had loop-de-loops, corkscrews, the works, and Llu's eyes seemed to sparkle at the concept of riding it. He pointed it out to Pippin excitedly. "That one!"
Without waiting for a reply, Llujah wolfed down his pretzel and excitedly grabbed Pippin's hand to lead him over to the coaster line. He bounded off happily towards the large ride, skipping and wagging his tail while holding tightly onto Pippin's hand.

Pippin had finished his pretzel, his stomach feeling a bit more full now as he gazed up at the ride Llujah spoke of. His eyes were wide as saucers when he saw it and he gulped loudly, "That oneee--woah!" he asked before being suddenly dragged off. He stumbled a bit at first but caught his footing thankfully.
"I haven't even been on any of the small ones! And that one looks scary!" he pointed out while still being dragged along. He had a feeling this point wouldn't matter much, and he would end up riding the coaster anyways. He tried to prepare himself, breathing in and out and pushing up his glasses securely, "But I guess we don't wanna wait in a line..." it seemed the boy was semi-forfeiting, though he still appeared a bit scared.

Llujah giggled as he dragged his new friend along. "C'mon, lazy-bones! We gotta hurry to get good seats!" After dashing along through the crowds, the large roller coaster entrance finally came into view. It was designed like a haunted cave, complete with fake stalactites and a sinister looking face on the entrance wall. It was all very exciting, and Llujah bounced happily. He kept tugging on Pippin's arm in an attempt to hurry him along. "Let's go! Let's go! There's no line and I don't wanna wait!"
Llu's tail was twitching furiously in his excitement and his small wings were flapping so much it seemed that he might take flight. He bounced along, still dragging Pippin, and seated himself and the boy in the very front car. As the safety bars came down, Llujah looked to Pippin and giggled. "Isn't this fun?"

Pippin stumbled along behind the young girl, following as best as he can and being screeched around corners. He looked a little nervous as they began to enter the "cave", biting his lip and swallowing hard for what felt like the fifteenth time that day.
Once they were in and secured by the bar he looked over at Llujah, "And they're sure this is safe?" he asked, obviously not very experienced in the 'taking a risk' category. He looked out to what was soon to come, the tracks of the coaster. He could faintly see a sharp turn, and it scared him just a little.
But, there was no time for being scared. They were all buckled in and the man who worked there flipped the switch, starting the coaster out a little slow, but it began to quickly pick up speed. "I-I-I dunno yet." Pippin said, trying his best to be brave as the coaster turned and he gripped the bar tightly.

Llujah giggled at Pippin, who looked terrified for some reason. "Of course it's safe! Otherwise, no one would be able to ride it!" The car began to lurch forward and began to pick up speed. It rounded a corner and started to ascend up a steep hill. Llu was wide-eyed with excitement and his wings would not stop flapping. He glanced over to Pippin. "And now it gets super fun!"
The coaster rolled upwards farther and farther until it came close to a stand-still at the crest of the peak. Llu chanced a look over the car railing and peered down below. The view from the top was dizzying and Llu felt a little sick from vertigo for a split second, but he was too excited to be scared. Everyone down below looked like little ants. Llujah shook Pippin's arm excitedly. "Look down below, Pippin! Everyone looks so tiny!" As he spoke, the coaster lurched forward once more and started to go downhill. Llujah wiggled excitedly. "Here we go!"

Pippin indeed looked terrified, he tried to hard it but wasn't very good at it. It was obvious he wasn't good with things like this, things that took some guts. "O-okay..." he said, trusting the other but stuttering, showing his nervousness further. He could feel the coaster jerk at some points, and each time it did so his muscles tightened just a bit and his eyes grew wide once more.
When Llujah told him to look over he looked mildly sick, but was afraid that if he didn't look the girl would think he was no fun! He didn't want to be thought of as the wimpy kid who was no fun, so he leaned over slightly, seeing all of the tiny people. "Wow! They do!" he expressed his agreement, surprised once he realized something, "Hey, I'm not afraid of heights!" he said excitedly with a wide grin. This would be convenient, since he would eventually fly.
"Woah!" he said as Llujah pointed out they were going to go downhill. He took in a sharp breath, trying his best not to scream!

Llujah giggled at his new friend's excitement. "That's good that you're not afraid of heights! 'Cause we're super super su-per high up!" He wiggled and grinned, then faced frontwards to the dizzying drop before them. The coaster lurched forward and sped downhill! The boy squealed loudly as the car went faster and faster while plummeting downhill. The car took a left turn and spiraled into a corkscrew. Llujah rose up his arms in his excitement and yelled loudly.
"Eeeee!!! Faster, faster!" He kept shouting as if his demands would will the ride to go even faster than it did now. They went into loop-de-loops, cobra turns, camel backs, more corkscrews... the whole shebang. Finally, after was what a much too short period of time, the coaster started to slow and rolled it's way back into the entrance of the ride. Llujah's wings fluttered violently and he gripped the safety bar tightly in his excitement. He turned to smile at Pippin. "Wasn't that fun?"

Though he tried the boy still let out a loud yell as they rolled downhill. He wasn't used to this type of excitement, yelling and laughing as the car sped along. Once or twice he looked over at Llu, wanting to make sure the other was having as much fun as he was. They went through so much, all the little obstacles the coaster put them through, they even went upside down once, which was a real thrill!
By the end of it Pippin was grinning from headwing to headwing, laughing as he said, "Wow! I'm really glad ya made me do that! I've never done something like that before, it was super fun!" The ride had felt short, but looking up at the course he was quite sure they had been up there for a really long time. Pippin was in fact quite shocked that he had gone through all of that, seeing all the loops and such.
"So... wanna ride something else?" he asked with excitement, obviously wanting to play with the other spawn some more.
